It’s so wild to me how many people don’t understand why boycotts work. They work because refusing to buy a product deprives companies of MONEY. You are not depriving anyone of money by refusing to vote. You are just losing what little power you have to make a difference.

Not only that, the rich republicans don’t WANT you to vote. Why else would they deprive convicts of voting, have voting times be at weekday hours only retirees can attend, and heavily protest the easier concept of voting by mail?

If you don’t vote, you’re just doing exactly what they want.

YEAH ACTUALLY it's upsetting, i knew there was people who thought like this since i saw them last election but geez ive been seeing it more and more and it sucks, i've had to unfollow some blogs and muts i really did like and enjoy seeing because they made posts about being anti-vote and there's something in particular about anti-voters that just makes me mad, i think it's just how proudly people talk about it while seeming not understanding how self-centered it is? like you know they aren't voting not because they think it will change ANYTHING but instead because if the president does anything bad they can cross their arms and go "well I didn't vote for him" and look at you smugly like they have any kind of moral high ground for their lack of action LIKE

it's gotta just be kids and new voters or something, i don't understand what they think they are doing at all, and none of the ones i've seen posting about it seem to be able to tell me either, they're all waiting for the big revolution that will save the US but i don't see how that's gonna be any easier by stepping down and letting the right take power
