The White Vault

This one is hard to summarize without spoiling the whole thing. But basically, a repair team is sent out to this remote outpost in Svalbard when things go wrong. It's incredibly atmospheric and tense, and is a found footage show. The main show is 5 seasons and finished and they're currently airing a sixth sequel season that I'm digging so far.

Archive 81

This is my favorite horror podcast. It starts off following Dan Powell after he's been hired to digitize an archive of tapes while staying in a remote cabin in the woods. This podcast is absurd and surreal and NASTY. Most horror has some degree of nasty but I will give a heads up that you've gotta be down for body horror to get into this one. I love it so much. It's 3 seasons with a few between season episodes. (Also don't touch the Netflix show its disappointing.)

The Deep Vault

Made by the same people as A81, this is mid apocalypse, our protagonists are seeking refuge in a weird underground vault thing they heard about growing up. This one has a lot of the same themes as A81 turned up to 11 and it is incredible. It's only 1 season and it left a huge impact on me.

Crossing Wires

Also sort of almost post apocalypse and told entirely through radio transmissions. It's really character driven and still coming out! Can't say too much more without spoiling things.

Spines

We follow Wren after she wakes up covered in blood, suffering from memory loss, surrounded by a cult ritual. It's ABSURD and horrific and fascinating. This is another one where saying much more will ruin it but I highly recommend if you like interesting settings and captivating protagonists.

The Six Disappearances of Ella McCray

Ella McCray disappears, and all six witnesses tell wildly different stories about what happens. It's a lighter horror with more emphasis on mystery and intrigue but it's really really good.

Bad Vibes

It's a short anthology series with some truly buck wild episodes. Personal favorite is either bugbugbug or HIT Cardio. Really fun, really fast to get through.

The Left Right Game

The last I'll do for now (if you want more or reviews just hmu). But it's about a journalist doing a story on this titular esoteric game talked about online where people drive and continuously make left then right turns. It's strange and captivating and short. It's also one of the only podcasts with a celebrity actor doing voice acting I like.

i fell asleep today while logged into my WORK again all because I laid down on a cozy bed at 7:20. to be clear, I started work at 7. it’s not like I was awake for a long time before my body said “Nap”

I laid down at 7:20, with volume at 100 and my headset around my neck.

i slept for TWO HOURS. I’d got two messages from the scheduling team calling me out (and CC’ing my manager) because apparently?? apparently?? you know when I shoulda woken up to my first call???

7:30!!!!! I fell asleep SO FAST that I missed a call at volume 100 only ten minutes later!!!!

An introduction to my 5 plague kittens that I got to deal with 2020

Photo 1: Pandemic (9 months) aka Pandi aka Baby Titten aka Bubby. Our first kitten that we got off Craigslist over quarantine. She was a tiny baby with a crooked little tail who really made quarantine a million times better. She’s now very smart and very good at screaming. She REALLY likes food, and developed a good recall because of this. She also knows Sit, spin and is working on Sit Pretty. Might be the best behaved of them and she gets to come to “work” the the salon some days.

Photo 2: Germ (7 months) aka Worm aka Wormothy. Is ALOT in all ways and is our only boy. He is very handsome and very large. Can be very cuddly but will lick you until you think you might have a rash. He is best friends with Dizzy who walks all over him, they are partners in crime and are good at things like getting into the garbage at literally any opportunity.

Photo 3: Bug (6 months) aka Buggy aka BugBugBug. Good nighttime cuddler (cuddle bug) but might suffocate you, has the cutest little legs! Does not really cuddle outside of bedtime. Gets along well with everyone and was a sort of mom to Dizzy when she was tiny. Very sweet little lady, also the most nervous of new things.

Photo 4: Nausea (5 months) aka NaNa (like nananana Batman! Not like a grandmother). Socially awkward and likes to play by herself, loves to be pet but only in a really weird manner where she stands on you and you rubber her sides while she maybe flips upside down. Has a weird meow that sounds kinda like a honk. Loves new things and I think will enjoy outdoor (leashed) adventures when we’re out of the rainy season.

Photo 5: Dizzy (4 months) aka Dizzy Bee aka Disease Bronchitis aka Runty aka Beefy and was once called Marble because she was so round. Resists the idea of growing and is only 4 pounds. We found her on Craigslist from someone who found her outside and was going to put her back out in 24 hours if nobody took her. She was about 4 weeks old and was just a round head on a round belly. She is now an absolute ungrateful menace who has Worm break into things for her so she can take them. We absolutely love her and are absolutely losing our minds. She also loves pizza and knows how to open the box.

A Fury of the Fallen character design I did like, half a week back? Either way, I love it alot, and apparently as did most of the server! Had a few people telling me this was their favourite piece of mine yet, which is wild.

This was supposed to be a gijinka at first but it quickly devolved into bugbugbug
