SolidSocialistShiba here. It has come to my attention that some of you have not been reading Safety in Her Arms. (Which Are Also Her Hair.)

I must encourage you to read it! It is written by my fantastic partner BumbleCade, and its first chapter is indeed somewhat brief, but it’s quite endearing and will feature all the comfy Entrapdak content that is desired! Its focus is on Hordak attempting to propose to Princess Entrapta and going on a frankly delightful quest to find the best way to do so! While it is far from complete, we have plans for it and it’s going to bring him around to every Princess. It’s delightful and soft in all the best ways, thanks to the touch of my partner, who’s undeniably a master of the fluffy arts.

Also, Imp and Emily are in it.

So... TWN here, we’ve got two announcements to make. The first and most important is obviously above you in that banner. A 4-chapter, short, lighthearted sequel to Trial which will depict Hordak’s courtship of Entrapta! Penned fabulously by resident master of fluff BumbleCade, its heartfelt nature is the perfect follow-up to the drama of Trial, like hot cocoa after wading through a snowstorm. She’s got all kinds of stuff planned, and we of TWN cannot wait to see this one grow like its predecessor did!

In news of lesser import, Hegemony, our mirror-universe fic, will be going on a hiatus. The short version is that SolidSocialistShiba is honestly quite burned out on Hegemony. That’s not to worry, though-- Chapter 12: Among the Ghosts is still coming! There’s still so many twists and turns the audience has yet to experience... we’re gonna have some fun, suffice it to say.

@whattheskell sent an ask requesting some information about us; in being simply ecstatic, I promptly forgot how Tumblr works, shot them a response saying I had to ask my partner, and then realized promptly that I had accidentally deleted the ask by responding.

Oops.

Anyways, here’s an answer to a few of their questions! (Those that I can remember, anyways, it would be very helpful if they were to send the ask again.)

We are two fairly young people, who happen to be romantic partners. We were romantic partners before either of us wrote, but we both enjoy writing and are huge, huge nerds. Thus, TeaWithNyarlathotep was born. I personally picked the name due to my love of famed shitty person, racist, and occasional writer H.P. Lovecraft and his character of Nyarlathotep. (Seriously, though, Lovecraft was an asshole.)

I, the responder at the moment, have done most of the writing so far. While my partner contributes heavily, they have primarily focused on editing and giving my ideas so far. Trial of Hordak was my personal dream fic, and they were able to mold it into happening. I am exceptionally grateful to them, as well as to our readers.

We decided we needed a name each to clarify who’s talking, so: I am SolidSocialistShiba. My delightful partner and significant other is BumbleCade.

It is our delight to answer any questions anyone has; the simple caveat is that it may take a while, as everything we say or do must be run through one another first.

That’s all right now, but please, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Etherian Sign Names in Hegemony.

Hello! BumbleCade the faithful editor here. I got rather excited over the thought of what ESL would be like after proofing Chapter 5, so using my admittedly minimal knowledge of American Sign Language, I envisioned what some of the sign names that Perfuma and Imp use would be. Please, absolutely correct me if I have misinterpreted my knowledge of how names are given/shown in sign as opposed to fingerspelling them out or if I have described the motions for a sign that already exists, or is just plain wrong. I’d also love to know if any sign users in the Deaf/HOH community have their own way of signing these characters names. Without further ado..

Bow

Bow gets his name sign from the heart on his signature shirt. Perfuma was the one to give it to him. You start with both hands cupped in front of your chest fingers touching and palms down then pull your hands back and swivel them to create a “V” with both hands just below your bust area, similarly to drawing an air heart with your fingers.

Adora:

Adora was the first one I came up with and hers is relatively easy to sign. Start with a cupped hand on your forehead with your pinky side touching the forehead. Scoop up and back to touch the top of your head mimicking her small pomp.

Hordak #1

Perfuma signs Hordak using the fingerspell H and flicks downward or taps the end of her nose to mimic the ASL sign for Penis. (This, I believe, would be akin to her calling him Hordick.)

Hordak #2

Imp on the other hand signs Hordak using the letter H and tapping it against his forehead to mimic the ASL for Dad. (A Hordad ref in my tumblr post? It’s more likely than you think.)

And, last but certainly not least:

Queen Angella

Angella would most likely also know ESL and prefer to use the typical Queen signage of using your letter Q hand placing it on your shoulder and moving it to your hip. However, I feel Perfuma (in private) uses the sign for Angel. Both hands at the shoulders fingers pointing outwards and moving out from the shoulder in either a flat or wave motion.

Once again, I’d just like to say that any and all criticism is welcome on this and I’ll do my best to correct any mistakes accordingly. Thank you so much for reading and following along with Hegemony, big things to come. New chapter coming later today! :D

Hegemony

So Hegemony isn't quite on hiatus again.

Short version, there's been a major upheaval in the lives of both SSS and BumbleCade, so the latest chapter will be coming out very late.

We hope to resume a quicker schedule after the next chapter comes out.
