Happy New Year to everyone viewing this post. Here's to 2023 bringing better tidings than what has already transpired.
Also, I'd like to extend a great many thanks and gratitude to all who have followed, reblogged and liked my art (including PornBots Inc). 2022 was a hell of a ride, and you guys have been unbelievably awesome in making it a lot more bearable.
a rich guy who lives in the suburbs and has never taken the bus
tried to argue with me about the speed and ease with which you could reach one of the neighborhoods in the city by bus
as he insisted that my estimate of 2.5-3 hours was insane, all I could think of was the hundred times I had taken that trip. 3 connections across N/S and E/W lines.
2 of the connections were notoriously unreliable and either wouldn't show or would come so late that you would miss the next connection
also ignoring the over half a mile between bus stops. that takes about 3x as long to trek through during the winter in the snow belt with our unplowed roads
i have been drenched, stranded, dehydrated, frozen, and late so many damn times on the city's god forsaken underfunded public transport that still cost 35 fucking dollars a month to use because they pour all the fare money into hyper-policing it
i know my damn city and I know my damn bus routes
for a man who drives from his giant house in his air conditioned car (in a quarter of the time it takes me to cross just two neighborhoods), JUST to patronize about something he knows shit about
it makes me bitey
anyways, i just got off the bus on my way to my other job and my shoes are soaked. so, point me. whoo.
Embracing Spontaneity in Your Travel Plans: The Benefits of Being Flexible
While planning ahead is important, leaving some room for spontaneity in your travel plans can lead to unexpected adventures and unforgettable experiences. Here are some benefits of being flexible and embracing spontaneity during your travels:
Discover hidden gems: When you're not bound by a strict itinerary, you have the freedom to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations and discover hidden gems that you might not have found otherwise.
Meet new people: Being open to spontaneity can lead to meeting new people and making new friends. You might strike up a conversation with a local, join a tour group, or find a fellow traveler to explore with.
Be present in the moment: When you're not constantly thinking about your next scheduled activity, you can focus on being present in the moment and truly savoring your travel experience.
Flexibility for unexpected circumstances: Unexpected circumstances such as bad weather or canceled flights can disrupt even the most carefully planned itinerary. By being flexible and open to changing plans, you'll be able to adapt to these situations and make the most of your travel experience.
Create unforgettable memories: Spontaneous experiences often make for the most memorable travel moments. Whether it's stumbling upon a local festival or taking a spontaneous hike, these unplanned adventures can become some of the highlights of your trip.
So why not leave some room for spontaneity in your travel plans? Be open to unexpected experiences and embrace the unknown. You might just discover something new and unforgettable.
