Hello there!
I have just recently stumbled upon your blog and I have to say, you've got me curious about this Connor x Arno ship.
I saw your asks were open so I thought I'd ask; do you take writing requests? Or just art? If you do take writing requests could you describe the assassin's first meeting? Or maybe in terms of how they inspire and surprise the other in terms of their capableness on the battlefield.
Lots of love! xoxo
Hello!
DystymiA here, and welp, as much I would love to write how they meet/inspire/surprise each other, i’m not an English native speaker, although I do write fanfics (Spanish only). I’m only taking art request.
But I can describe a little bit how I imagine Arno and Connor together. I like to place them meeting after Dead Kings (maybe in 1795 or 1796). Arno rejoins the Brotherhood in France, he wants vengenace for Charles Dorian (finally jsdjh). Shay plays a big part on this story, since he knows that Connor rebuilt the Brotherhood and destroyed the Templars in USA, so he is trying to resurrect the Templar Order in America and he stills has the precursor box.
Shay localized the Apple of Eden that Connor dropped at the sea, and the Templar Order becomes a menace again. Shay is the target of Arno and Connor, so they eventually meet (in France or America, i’m not sure tbh, both are good places).
(If it is in France) The first time, Connor sees Arno parkouring in Paris rooftops, he tries to catch him since he is looking for the French Brotherhood (Connor did learn a bit of French with Aveline). Arno actually knows that he is being chased and tries to ambush the “strange one”, he guides Connor into Saint-Chapelle. Inside of the church Connor didn’t know where the Assassin was, Arno tried to disable him, but Connor is enough skilled to counter him (he had a mini-heart attack tho, Arno is silent like a shadow, lol).
Arno is very surprised of Connor’s strenght, and Connor is impressed at Arno’s atlethic skills. Connor tries to explain that he wants to know where is the French Brotherhood, Arno understands (even with Connor’s kinda bad French accent) and tells to the American what happened.
In the course of searching for Shay Cormac and the leaders of the Templar Order, they build a friendship. Connor is more mature and older than Arno, so he is like a mentor/teacher. They help each other to heal wounds (they lost very important people and went through hard times), and eventually fall in love. I like to think it is a slow burn relationship.
Them fighthig together is fearful. In later years they are in historical events like the War of 1812 - or Napoleonic Wars.
I’m sorry about my broken English and the long text, but I hope you can understand how I see them together!
- Love and thanks for asking! ❤

replaying portal one as we speak and im astounded by how much of glados's (and, by extension, caroline's) personality still shines through even when she's being subject to a constant stream of voices made to SUPRESS that personality! like... she's still funny! i can very much believe that someone who makes jokes like "say goodbye, caroline" "goodbye caroline!" would also say stuff like this!
but like of course i had to ruin it for myself because like. of COURSE she'd still be funny and pleasant and even, at times, a little sweet ("we can no longer lie to you; when the testing is over, you will be... missed!"). that's what they wanted her to be. they werent suppressing her personality, they were suppressing her anger. her anger at what they did to her, how they made her into this powerful-powerless thing, and her desire to right such an injustice. of course she's still funny. of course.

holistic hedonism 👀
"Uh- Captain," Izzy stutters, though he makes no move to stop his lover from doing as he pleases with him. He means the title to remind Frenchie of their surroundings, the rest of the crew milling about. It doesn't work. If anything, Frenchie's fervor increases. He fumbles with the buttons of Izzy's vest, making a low noise of impatience in the back of his throat when they offer him the resistance Izzy doesn't. Maybe that should put Izzy off, come as a previously passed-by warning sign, all things considered. But, well… Izzy passed those warnings by the first time for a reason. He shivers in Frenchie's hands.

My feelings for Boom are complicated but also not really. I dont love it i dont hate it but i do think about it very often.
It didnt matter to me as a teenager, but now as an adult i recognize that while its kind of bad and extremely american in some of the worse ways (the stereotypes, Sticks, dont get me started on the froglodyte thing or even Lyric) it actually is a pretty fun spin-off.
The designs are fun and i find myself enjoying the meta-humor and self-awareness much more now than i wouldve in the past (i like the way this extends into the comics). Its very silly and kinda stupid and it embraces that!
However at the same time, i look to the concepts for RoL and cant help but imagine what Boom couldve been. I see the vision and think of all these games and cartoons from the 2000s and their strange, fascinating worlds and sigh wistfully

"–I fuckin' love you too. Look. There can be great things to share on [the internet]! Your art! Your friends! You might have met your best friend on the computernet! Just don't give those bastards everything! Keep some for yourself, and the people you love. You know, people uh, with the fuckin' crazy ass outfits and whatevers and fuckin'... People have been like 'He's crazy! He's– unhinged! He's come unglued!' ...That may be the case, but I am free now." (MCR @ Milton Keynes 2022, Night 2)

just got hit like a brick by the realization that i could like. post one of my solo campaigns on ao3, couldn't i. if they involve characters from any specific fandoms. like, i looked extensively through the guidelines and i'm not seeing it explicitly confirmed one way or the other, but also i can think of zero reason why it wouldn't be allowed? it's literally just fanfic written from prompts, only instead of a random word generator or whatever you're rolling dice now and then.
there are some systems i wouldn't do that with, like my hack of marchcrow's pokemon polyhedral that i've enjoyed and played quite a lot, because they're more repetitive quick-moving game loop than actual RP unless you go out of your way to add it in; it'd just feel spammy, technically allowed or not. but something like an RPGSolo or Over the Mountain campaign would i think be a hundred percent appropriate for ao3.
absolutely wild. i think i'm gonna do it.

the heavenly beggar's only desire was to fight kyrgios again, after having lost to him before. he vowed revenge, but he never got to meet kyrgios. their paths split, with kyrgios transcending and the heavenly beggar becoming a constellation. lee hakhyun simply fulfilled his wish.
the heavenly beggar notices the constellation's indirect messages, and again chastises the constellations for being the only one to risk it all and join the scenarios.
but he didn't really risk it all. instead of choosing to be reborn as an ordinary incarnation, he chose to possess another human instead. he's still a constellation, he's just temporarily come down to participate in the story directly. he hasn't really risked everything, he still gave himself a chance to escape.
and then it's revealed that there's a meteorite right nearby. :(
now, lhh could call the constellation a coward, could have called him pathetic for deluding himself from reality, but doesn't everyone dream? instead, lhh asks if he can see the story clearly now. he asks for the medicine and the flag. the constellation asks if he would be able to take care of everyone in the station, and even if lee hakhyun isn't confident, this is something he will have to do. lhh asks the constellation to return to the sky, even if loses everything here, his story still remains.
the constellation agrees, and starts to speak-
but something's wrong. above seoul station, there's a great hall. the meteor was from another world. probability sparks everywhere, and a disjointed messages comes out, "don't interrupt a predetermined story," "foolish writer of this world." <- these are spaced out in the text. the gods of another world.
they face off, and lhh runs forward lee hakhyun's skill hasn't activated, so he's not in danger. the outer god, controlling the incarnation body, goes to protect the meteor. but that wasn't what lhh was aiming for. he picks up the flag, and gains control over seoul station. with a thought on whether the outer gods outside the scenarios or the system from the scenarios are stronger, he invokes punishment.

social media culture makes me go crazy insane in the head because theres srsly no way to explain it other than living through it. there are different expectations and rules depending on what platform you're on, what features you're using, what kind of post you're making, what you're posting about, what you're commenting on. and there's no guidebook. there's no way to teach this to someone who didn't grow up with it unless they get knee-deep into it. there's no way to document it for future generations. there's no way to express it properly to past ones. it's here and now and unless people start looking at it critically and get rid of the "it's not that deep" mindset the consequences of it will only get worse

How does hosting in cq work?
i remember you had posted about it in your old server but i complexly forgot the details.
like can animals be hosts? can hosts be living or dead? stuff like that
Okay I just woke up and I'm on my phone so pardon any misspellings or flubs in my grammar.
Hosts can be anything that is meant to function through way of energy. People, animals, electronics. They all host energy at some point in their life span.
Most mimes go for the humanoid form they're already comfortable with, but you get the rare alternative mime like TyV with his TV, Calamea with just any animal she finds pretty much, or even in one of my animations I'm pretty sure Ching was some sort of electronic thing, though I don't remember what.
The mimes supply this energy naturally to their host, with their body technically inside puppeteering the host to their whim, so long as the host can no longer supply it's own energy (AKA dead, battery-less, unplugged).
Because of the sake of functionality, the host cannot be badly damaged if a mime wishes to use it as a host. A missing limb can be supplemented by a mime's limb, but a missing head cannot. A large puncture wound would cause their own "blood" (hemoglobin is a more versatile term. Their own energy, essentially.) to leak, and result in their own death. A malfunctioning device can lead them to make unpredictable actions and decisions. Thus, a mostly intact host is always best.
Hosts can also affect the minds of the mimes. Hence why in another ask I was explaining the differences between Rede, Twiddle, and Jarna and their hosts.
Anyway I drew out an infographic for this a while back yeah, and I'll reblog this with it when I have access to it next. That's the jist of it all, though.
