MY THOUGHTS ON THE NEW WANDAVISION EPISODE
Don’t click the cut if you don’t want spoilers, I won’t be shy with them, neither are they in chronological order. I’m not that good at theorizing but I’m just putting what I noticed out there.
PIETRO
Pietro is definitely not the Pietro we know. He is way too self aware, constantly refers to life outside of Westview, and as expected, has selective amnesia. Wanda directly asks about childhood memories of their own Halloweens, and he doesn’t answer correctly. Also, the line “you probably suppressed a lot of the trauma”. ohohoh. There is definitely something off, but he’s the couch surfer, good-with-kids, troublemaker uncle we expected, which I can excuse.
HOWEVER
“I’m just trying to do my part, okay? Come to town unexpectedly, create tension with the brother-in-law, stir up trouble with the rugrats, and ultimately give you grief. I mean, that’s what you wanted, isn’t it?” Also, “Next thing I know I heard you calling me” this is pretty disturbing. Who called him to Westview? Wanda says she did, but doesn’t know how she did it. Her reaction to him coming back just proves more she’s just a puppet to a higher power. Who?
“Why do you look different?” Wanda is not the one who recast Pietro.
“If I see any funny business I’m going to magic you into a pickled herring” Is Wanda referring to the “red herring” writing tool? Is Pietro just a distraction? It would make sense given her color scheme is all about red... Let’s see if I’m right. Other than that it’s a funny gag.
LITERALLY EVERYTHING PIETRO SAYS IS DISTURBING AND/OR SHOWS HIS AWARENESS OF THE SITUATION.
OTHER WESTVIEW RESIDENTS
Several other Westview residents seemingly become aware of the situation; Wanda’s control is slipping. Herb asks, “Is there something I can do for you? Do you want something changed?” possibly referring to the whole simulation, not the neighborhood watch rounds on Halloween.
Agnes is scared. She is DEFINITELY NOT Mephisto or the one controlling the simulation. Vision snapped her from Wanda’s control, nothing fell apart, she was terrified.
Speaking of Agnes: there is a parallel to 1x03 “Now In Colour” wherein Agnes hesitates before telling Vision he’s dead. “Because we’re all...” “Because we’re all what?” becomes a parallel to Vision saying “Because I’m what?”. All in all pretty disturbing, this could point to a theory in which all the Westview residents are either dead or blipped but didn’t come back. However I’m pointing for dead or just missing, because there was nothing mentioned about missing people after the blipped were brought back in other movies. Marvel is notoriously bad about handling the consequences of the blip though, so I’m not holding my breath.
“Huh... These people, near the edge of town...They're barely moving. Are they alive?” Jimmy inadvertently says the most horrifying things...
THE TWINS
One of the twins has super speed, the other, reality-bending powers and telepathy. “A chip off the old Maximoff block” indeed.
WANDA: And please just remember to-- BOTH: Don't go past Ellis Avenue. We know, Mom. We know. Ellis Avenue is the edge of town, and the theory that kids can’t be mind controlled is proven correct: Agnes’ comment about that is mirrored. Wanda has apparently told the twins repeatedly to not go past Ellis Avenue. She can’t mind control them so she does the next best thing, set believable, parental restrictions and boundaries, like any “normal” parent would do, but with a far different intent behind it. Yikes.
I read on another post that Westview is basically Wanda living out her parents’ perfect life: this seems really logical now that her twins display the exact same powers as her and Pietro.
S.W.O.R.D.
Hayward is a ✨d i c k✨
The stinky bastard is just as sus as we expected, he’s looking for the vibranium decay signature inside the anomaly to monitor Vision, assumingly to see how fast he’s dying. HE CAN SEE INSIDE WESTVIEW FOR GODSAKES.
Vision started decaying and being sucked back into Westview the instant he got out. He cannot exist outside the Maximoff anomaly.
Monica’s cells have been rewritten several times by the energy inside the anomaly: could this be a new super’s birth? A new Scarlet Witch?
That said, what kind of powers does she gain? The same kind used to keep the people in Westview “alive” (between quotes cause I’m not sure of my theory yet), so either the same powers as Wanda, or something involving immortality. Either way, holy shit I can’t wait.
Not only could Hayward see inside Westview, it was noted by SWORD people that a lot of people suddenly stopped moving. Wanda needs to focus on them moving to be able to control them: it gets a bit buggy and stops entirely later. Maybe it’s because she was focused on Pietro and the twins? The timeline between Wanda and Vision’s respective actions wouldn’t line up though.
S.W.O.R.D literally got ABSORBED by Wanda’s bubble expanding. What happens to Darcy?? She’s the only one of the trio who didn’t escape!!
THE AD
A recurring theme so far, this one is weirder than ever. No HYDRA or Stark symbolism this time, that’s probably been dropped with the advancing of the decades. The snack advertised is called “Yo-Magic: The snack for survivors.” Make of that what you will...
A TEMPORAL ANACHRONISM
Tumblr media
This might be nothing, but I still find it interesting. The sign of the movie theater in one of the scenes lists two movies playing: The Incredibles and The Parent Trap. The first movie won’t come out until 2004, but The Parent Trap came out in 1998, which makes the timeline of the episode very fuzzy. Additionally, the twins didn’t age themselves up, they had no reason to, but it’s still suspicious. Does this happen in the 90s or the early 2000s?? The episode is in the style of a 90s sitcom (turned psych horror) and the show isn’t supposed to hit the early 2000s until episode 7, unless Wanda’s decided to speed things up. But why?
THE SITCOM THEME
Yes, I am making an entirely new bullet just for this. It is so disturbing.
🎶Wanda, Wanda Vision 🎶
Don't try to fight the chaos
Don't question what you've done
The game can try to play us
Don't let it stop the fun
Some days it's all confusion
Easy come and easy go
But if it's all illusion
Sit back, enjoy the show
Let's keep it going
Let's keep it going
Through each distorted day
Let's keep it going
Though there may be no way of knowing
Who's coming by to play
Holy fuck, okay. Shit’s been dialed up to 11. Buckle up.

DOMINIC GREENGRASS is NEUTRAL in the war, even though HIS official job is as A MEMBER OF THE WIZENGAMOT. the TWENTY EIGHT year old PUREBLOOD is known to be DILIGENT and ASTUTE but also PRUDENT and DELIBERATELY IGNORANT. some might label them as THE JUDICIOUS fc: charlie cox
Tumblr media
dominic tiberius greengrass is the youngest of three waaaaay too rich children
his mother, brigid, was an herbologist better known for her best selling books. the estate’s gardens and greenhouse are her life’s work and joy, and all three greengrass boys share fond memories of spending time with her in them, learning about it all even when they didn’t care, being forced to nurture pots of plants in hopes to turn them into responsible people. she still has a small army of handpicked herbologists and gardeners working for her, making her greenhouse and gardens a true paradise and place of research, and focuses on that mostly nowadays
roland greengrass, his father, left his position as chief warlock of the wizengamot three years ago, and has been working on a book ever since, yet to be finished. he’s been considering looking for a high position in some wizarding school, maybe ilvermorny, but has not made up his mind yet. he truly instilled in his children a sense of hard work, strict planning and following the law. oh, and he’s got an order of merlin, first class. quite the legacy to live up to.
the elder brother, sebastian, is a diplomat. the middle child, nathaniel, a well traveled herbologist, who owns his own research center. they are all very busy, and the oldest two already well married, with a few children. the three try to keep in touch, reuniting monthly at the main family estate for a weekend or so, and they also send each other letters?? cute
he’s so proud to be a greengrass all the time tbh like yeS I AM slightly better than u i am a greengrass pls
the greengrass family doesn’t have a history of joining extremist groups, but they are well integrated into pureblood high society, and a part of the sacred 28. they’ve always held positions of power and rivers of money, and are especially skilled in the art of arranged marriages, something that has made their ties to the rest of the wizarding society so much stronger. marrying a greengrass or into the greengrasses means a life of family protection, luscious estates and travels, a name of power and a spot in the lovely grey area between blood purists and blood traitor families, appeasing both sides just enough
it came as no surprise for him when, a couple of years ago, they started looking for someone. it’s been a long process, dom usually only involved when they needed a final yes or no, and he said lots of no’s until jacqueline showed up. a quick conversation, a dinner the next day, and the choice felt pretty easy. after all, worked for generations, why wouldn’t it work on him? so he’s now betrothed to jacqueline nott !!!!
so far it’s been A Gift honestly?? he?? has so much in common with her and it’s been so fun and niCE it’s something so calming and certain?? the future doesn’t seem as scary anymore??? help
he was always told to not get in the way of blood purists, but to not shun them away, and he still lives by that. ignores the war away, and never encourages the D.E.s (extremists are never a good thing). the only thing he follows is the law, as closely as possible
he was sorted into slytherin but honestly the hat took a few extra minutes because it was almost a tie between that and hufflepuff.
has retinitis pigmentosa, which pretty much means that he started losing some sight as a child, like the ability to adjust to different lighting or walking around at night, and tunnel vision, and gradually has been losing more and more of it (he was officially diagnosed when he was 12). as of right now, he barely has any left, so he’s legally blind (mostly just notices light, it’s reflections, flames). doesn’t talk about it. ignore ur problems awaaay
he truly is a fan of ignoring everything that’s serious when it comes to him. things are never really dealt with but shh
hogwarts is not the most disability-friendly school, although it’s improving but also, it was the 60s, so as his eyesight diminished the school’s measures weren’t really enough. he BROKE his right leg in 6th year in a moving staircase and the greengrasses immediately SUED the school, forcing it to rush improvement. his disability could never be a stop on his path, the greengrasses always made sure of it.
but also, even if it’s the 60s and wizard society is very separated from muggle technology, there needs to be some stuff available for visually impaired people so i'm just gonna fill in all the gaps canon left - there is a spell that turns any writing into braille, another that turns braille typing into writing. both are very very advanced spells, and don’t always work 100%.
uses muggle things like braille typewriters (they were still super nosy in the 60s-80s so his was charmed to not make a lot of it) and talking calculators. his parents got him a mobility instructor as soon as his diagnostic was made and his lack of vision was enough to justify it, aka someone who taught him how to adapt, how to move without crashing into things, how to properly use a cane. that greengrass money also paid for the best braille tutors possible, which he started learning right after his diagnostic since they knew it would only get worse. a braille tutor followed him to hogwarts during the school months too, coming in for a bit every day to keep helping him with braille and later on just to print over his work, made in braille, so that teachers could read it and mark it. eventually the tutor stopped coming, as he perfected the spell that turned his work into regular writing.
doesn’t care for the war. he greengrass especially are a family of rich well connected people who don’t engage in the most extreme views of the rest, so he was never raised with a specific hatred
ppl at school couldn’t make him develop that view either. he nodded along in order to not start shit and tried to dissuade them from the more intense stuff
never starts shit. so self aware of his words and what they’ll do
the Wise and Responsible friend
doesn’t let loose enough
dom’s great at charms?? his best subject tbh.
will try to fix everything all the time???? always has. whenever a problem arises, he’s there, trying to make sure you don’t even need to think about it
he’s?? kind. he’s a kind person. he was always The Softer Friend, the one who gave silent hugs when all others did was act stoic, the one who never got any of the jokes and laughed for minutes after they were explained to him, the slightly socially awkward kind friend who had everyone’s backs but also gave them shit about their snobbier attitudes and mocked their speech patterns and was the jokingly asshole-ish slytherin friend you’d expect
has been rising the ranks inside of the ministry, usually in the offices nearer to the minister. just got a job at the wizengamot, being one of the youngest there !!
likes his job? quite a bit? he liked the administrative stuff before, and then the powerful political roles, but he finds the law much more interesting, and is very open about much needed reforms in the british magical judiciary system. he’s so far from the revolutionary type, he just wants,,,, soft changes. pls fix this broken system.
he’s also good at it?? homeboi gives Good Speeches when he needs to convince his fellow wizengamot ppl, and he always pays so much attention and notices tiny details and logic flaws, plotholes - u can’t escape dominic justice.
people suspect he only has it because of his family’s influence, which kinda fucks him up mentally because he questions himself and his work and position in the world a lot.
he loves music so much?? any type of music. muggle, wizard, british, international, even when he can’t understand the words. can often be seen dancing. it’s like awkward dad dancing but?? endearing. if he’s in a good mood, there’s loud music playing in his house and he’s grooving around
dom definitely enjoys the lavish lifestyle his family money and his own now can provide him. wears the best clothes, lives in an expensive but small house, enjoys his vacations in Style™, like my man has that greengrass trademark money and knows how to spend it
loves buying people gifts??? takes a long time picking them too
he’s the kind of person that would take in his friends in danger into his house and hide them, but have a serious lecture ready for them the next day. probably tell them they need to find somewhere else to stay since they’re there bc shady stuff. BUT HE’LL TAKE THEM IN
he’s alecto and amycus’s cousin?? how fun?? also somewhat related to the blacks and lestranges bc pureblood families?? all related lbr
parallels: randall pearson (this is us), george o'malley (grey’s anatomy), leo fitz (agents of shield), chloe decker (lucifer), simon lewis (shadowhunters), ravi chakrabarti (izombie)

A Reformed Rake - Day 1 - Flirtation
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO @kristicles and hAPPY @mirsan-week !!!!! I’m late, I know, i know!!!!
fyi!!!! THIS IS A VICTORIAN AU!!! :)
Title: A Reformed Rake
Pairing: MirSan, mentioned InuKag, Sesshomaru and his own ego
Rating: G Word Count: 1636
She knew the moment he had walked in. The awed whispers that swept through the room, Kagome incessantly nudging her, and the sudden hyper awareness that coursed through her all clear indicators of exactly who had arrived. Almack’s was certainly not prepared for the unexpected arrival of Lord Houshi. Spitefully, Sango wondered whether he’d even been invited to begin with. It was only when she heard Kagome’s whispered response that Sango realized she had spoken aloud.
“Who knows whether he was, but Lady Kaede certainly can’t turn the Marquess away. Perhaps his arrival will lessen some of His Grace’s plight,” she finished on a giggle, casting a sly look in The Western Duke’s direction. Sesshomaru Taisho, the sixth Duke of the esteemed Western estate, stood against the far wall brooding as always and surrounded by a gaggle of eligible debutantes hoping to ensnare the icy duke… as always. Sango knew why Kagome had such an interest in the Duke, with her paramour being his younger brother. As the second son, Inuyasha’s draft had been purchased for him and he had been sent off to the army, having recently returned to inherit an earldom from his mother’s side, making him a very fine catch for Kagome, indeed.
Her own parents were convinced that the Marquesss would be a solid match for her, with Kagome insisting that it was meant to be as Lord Houshi and Inuyasha were fast friends just as the two of them were.
“Be thankful he’s taken an interest in you, girl.” Her father had boomed, patting her head fondly to take any bite out of the remark while her mother fussed over her gown.
“It’s fortunate that the Lord and Lady Higurashi volunteered to sponsor your coming out, Sango,” her mother continued, “your only duty now is to make a good match and do us proud.”
She could have vomited, really. The last thing she’d ever want was to strike a match with the Marquess of Houshi, a rake of the worst sorts. She’d heard the servants talking, whispers that her ears had definitely not been meant to overhear, about how the blasted man was never spotted with the same woman morning, noon, and night.
Disgusting.
“Oh!” Kagome gasped, yanking on Sango’s arm like she’d pull it out of its socket. “He’s headed this way!!”
Keeping her back firmly turned to the approaching Marquess, Sango clasped her hands together tightly, hoping that it would hide their sudden shaking. She couldn’t figure out why her traitorous heart had taken to galloping away in her chest at the knowledge that he was approaching her.
“Ladies,” Miroku spoke, and Sango could just envision the smile on his face, quaint and charming.
And bestowed upon anything wearing a skirt. A rational part of her piped up and she tampered down the flurry of emotion within her. She wished she could just ignore him, continue to stare at the far wall where the Western Duke was still pretending he didn’t hear the marriage-minded mamas vying for his attention, but she realized that to give a Marquess the cut direct was simply not in form. Especially not for her.
“My lord,” Kagome said courteously, sinking into a flawless curtsy and bestowing him with a fond smile. Sango barely resisted the urge to snort in a most unladylike fashion.
“Lord Hou-” she began, only to be cut off when he sidled forwards, his eyes glittering as he took her gloved hand and laid a kiss against the back of it.
“You, my dear, may call me Miroku.”
She could have slapped him. The use of his given name? Such intimacy was surely unwarranted from the few encounters they’d had thus far. Anger overrode good reason and Sango found herself hissing furiously at him.
“What I will call you is a rake. A most reprehensible and appalling one at that.”
Kagome’s low whimper of horror reminded Sango that she and the lecherous Marquess were not alone and she straightened up quickly, having leaned towards him to snarl her words.
“Ah,” Miroku cried dramatically, placing a hand against his heart, “such sweet poison you spit, little viper.” He smiled down at her, leaning casually against the pillar behind him, the image of dangerous perfection. Dangerous because a single wrong move from her and she’d be compromised and added to the list of his conquests.
“Did you know,” He said in a conspiratorial whisper, looking at her with the full force of his dark eyes, piercing straight into her, “I’ve heard it said that reformed rakes make the best husbands.”
Kagome gave a sharp indrawn breath, her hand flying to her breast and Sango glanced at her for a moment to see her gesture pointedly to the Marquess, signalling that she continue this…… conversation.
“I believe,” she said, pausing when she heard how breathy she sounded and clearing her throat before continuing, “I believe that reformed was the integral word there. And you, my lord,” she said pointedly, placing emphasis on his title, “are anything but.”
He drew back then, looking surprised for a moment at her response. Surprised but oh so pleased.
“Very good, my dear.” He laughed, crossing his arms over his broad chest with a wide grin. “Very good, indeed. There’s hope for you yet.”
Sango prepared to deliver another scathing retort but froze, dread and a strange sense of anticipation creeping through her, when the music began.
“May I?” Miroku asked, extending his arm in her direction, the picture of propriety. She chanced a glance in Kagome’s direction and found her already accepting the arm of Sesshomaru, who looked as if he’d rather be dead than where he currently was, him being honour bound to dance a dance with his brother’s betrothed in his absence. Left with no other option, she cautiously placed her hand on Miroku’s arm, allowing him to lead her to the dance floor where the waltz had begun.
Some part of her wondered just how many women he’d done this with when he led the dance with the ease of one well versed in it, and a larger part stomped it into silence. She had no business thinking anything of the sort. Biting her tongue in an effort to remain silent, she kept her gaze averted from her partner, staring instead at his expensive looking shoes as they led her around the dance floor.
“The thing about animosity,” he whispered and she jumped when she felt his breath on the side of her neck, “is that you’re supposed to enjoy the discord, love.”
Surely there had to be some rule about this? Surely gentlemen were not permitted to just...breathe all over ladies?!
“I couldn’t hope to entertain even the thought of any ill-will towards you, my lord.” Sango crooned in what she hoped was a deceptively mild voice. “You are a lord of the realm, and I? I am but a merchant’s daughter.”
How could she truly tell him how delectable - er… despicable she found him when there was such a chasm between them in social standing?
“Quite right you are, lovely Sango.” Miroku nodded and she gasped when she felt his fingers brush over her waist, scalding her through the fabric of her gown. “It is unheard of for a merchant’s daughter to mouth off to a Marquess.”
She really bit her tongue then, to try and keep herself from screaming that she was already aware of that and that was precisely why she had just said that.
“But,” he continued, pulling her closer to him in a move that made her freeze, knowing instinctively that all eyes must be on them now, “it is not so far-fetched for a woman to share her thoughts with her husband.”
Her heart must have skipped a beat. She was sure of it. Her face was suddenly flushed, her heartbeat thundering in her ears as her eyes flew up to his in shock. Husband? Was - was the ton’s most notorious rake proposing marriage to her? Without the threat of her father suing him for compromising her?
He must have had some inkling as to the direction her thoughts had taken when he beamed down at her and lifted her hand to his mouth again, placing his lips softly against the back of her hand again.
“I implore you to think upon the…rebuttal I have just given you.” She felt her cheeks heat again in a blush that must have carried across her entire body, and his eyes sparkled with mirth in response. “And I will call upon you in the morrow to hear your reply. Until then, I bid you adieu.”
In a whisk of black satin, he had departed, striding confidently towards the grand doors, leaving Sango staring after him. A pin could have been dropped just then and the sound would have reverberated through the room. The hand he had kissed rose to clutch at her chest, a small smile crossing her face in spite of herself. Call on her, would he? Well he would get his answer. She could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on her and wondered how she would divert attention away from herself when it happened.
“Will we get on with this sordid affair? Is it your belief that I have absolutely nowhere else to be and so can afford to spend hours at your ridiculous party? And I say, Miss Higurashi, do move your feet.” Sesshomaru’s cold voice rang out and Sango turned around in time to see her friend’s face contort into barely concealed malice as she deliberately brought her heel down on her future brother-in-law’s foot and his eyes flared at her in response.
All things considered, Sango figured she could have done a lot worse. At least she wasn’t marrying into that family.

Refusing to Yield Chapter 9
This is based on real life. Just names have been changed to protect person identity.  There is mention of all types of abuse. If that is a trig please don’t read. Reader get in a relationship with Kim Seokjin and Min Yoongi but all BTS is in this series. There are mentioned of other people in this series.
Yoongi carries me out to the living room. Tae who did Ann list aqua therapy has an emergency contact you. Little w comes running over please tell me she not having any flash backs or a panic attack? Ann puts her head down so no one can see that she is crying but all of us in the room know why she is doing it. Ann here are your meds please take them. I don’t to take the second one you know the effects it has on me.
Tumblr media
I know honey but you need to take it, so it helps with the pain you are having. Can’t we just have you lay down and I lay just next to you see if that works. We will do that but honey I really need you to take the other pill also. Yoongi what is going on? Little w can you help me get her to take this pill has soon as she takes, I will explain everything. Ann honey here I made your cocktail let me help you take it. Ann takes it with no problem.
How did you know to make that for her? How long has Ann with you guys? She has been for 6 months. She lived with us 4 years and after the first time she was put on the pain pill for her back. We found out it made her sick to her stomach, so when I went to the doctors with her. I told them what the pill was doing to her and they gave us a nausea pill for her to take at the same time. We put in in puddling so she can’t see the pill, or she won’t take it. Okay I explain how to give her pain pills. Now it is your turn to explain what is going on. Ann rescue a little boy from drowning about two weeks ago. She just finally told me in the bedroom her back and legs have been feeling weird to her. Since she rescued the boy.
She isn’t walking right, and she is in pain all the time. Little w can you answer me a question. Why doesn’t she like telling people when something is bothering her or about how she is feeling? I will explain after we get her moved. Papa m do we have a different place? Yes, about how are we go there with a cop detail on us. Papa m let’s do this okay. Hi officer Bob this is Mike Ann’s boss oh yes how can I help you. We are no longer in need of the cop detail since I just hired more security and we are trying to move Ann to another apartment, but she is afraid with the cop detail following us that some how it might get back to her family? Lying sack of shit Ann, I will handle this just stay calm because we don’t need you collapsing again after you just came out of one.
Okay Mike but if I found out my family knows were, I am at then I want you to sue the police department for not doing their job to protect me? I promise Ann I will sue them on your behalf. My security team is watching for the officer to pull away. Ann they just left let’s go. Little w is your car out front or in the back? It is out front okay take Big R, Jin, Yoongi, and Ann to this address. Jin call them when you are route so they will be out front. The one of them that lives there is Ann favorite guard make sure you all listen to him. The rest of us are going to pack this place up and move everything there. Mike writes something down to show everyone the plan doesn’t want to say where they are moving to out loud incase someone is listening outside the apartment.
Mom they brought in little w and his friends. What are we going to do now? Follow them to the new location where she is going to be living, once we will get her back, she will have to punished her for everything she has done.  Ann you’re in no condition like hell I’m not. Steve what is going on? Hello, my mother dearest did you think I wouldn’t hear his voice in the hallway right outside the apartment or yours he had you on speaker phone and I got it all on tape. The cops are here Ann good. I want Officer Bob’s job now. Officer Fred nice to seeing you again what is going on he broke his stay away order. I also have both him and my mother on tape. Someone in our police department broke the law by notifying my family about my move.
I don’t care who did it but whoever did it better lose the job. Plus, Mike will be suing the police department on my behalf. Someone please get me before I fall. Get her to the new place now. Ann, I have this now please go Mike said. We all in route Jin makes the call to the security team. They have us pull up front and we all get out. A car pulls up behind us, but two people get out of the car. Call the cops now. I have had enough of this it ends now.
What the hell do you two want? We want you stop this crap and come home so we can take care of Ann? Why would I do that? We love you and you are sick, and we are the only ones who know how to take care of Ann? What by beating me and verbal putting me down? Yes, that is the only way to control you because of your mental issues. You all are the ones with the mental issues not me. When are you going to get it though your thick skulls that I want nothing to do with any of you? How many are you sleeping with? If your asking about my sex life none of them but Yoongi and Jin are my boyfriends. We only cuddle together at night or during the day.
If you remember correctly even little w and the rest of his guy are my friends. Plus, they always treated me like a little sister. None like my brother did? Why are your face pale afraid they going to find out what you three did to me in mine bedroom? So, you are aware this is all being recorded for myself safety so, you can’t say any of us threated you guys. Yes, dearest father I have learned a lot of tricks how to protect me and my friends. Ann you wouldn’t put our family business out in the open. I think I should do just that maybe that is the only way you all will leave me alone. Ann you know they were only teaching you so when you meet a guy you wouldn’t be inexperience with a guy. I never wanted to learn that from them plus it was my brother and my father.
Why do think David had to call you to see how to get me to have sex with him? I have never slept with a guy that way. Every time I think about it, I get sick to my stomach.  I am no longer afraid to speak up for myself and say everything you guys did to me while I was growing up or in the past before I left that last night when little w found me. I still remember those night all three of you would come into my bedroom and tell me time was time for another lesson on how to make a guy happy in bed. How two of you would hold me down while the other did what they wanted to me. Doesn’t that sound about right? How about when father’s friend came over to do what they wanted to me and none of you would help me? Even through you would hear me scream because they were beating since I wouldn’t submit the way they wanted me to.  We are not in our home area anymore where you can influence people to do what you wanted done in the past.
While I was saying everything the cops and everyone else arrived there. My father said you are coming with us and went to make a move to grab me, but he didn’t get very far because my favorite security guard was standing right next me. So, when he moved the security guard got right in front of me and then everyone else were around us. Mike looked at me and ask are you okay? Not really can you please handle this now because I feel like I might collapse plus my back and legs are killing me.  Miss Brown can you handle over both recording to us? I am sorry I will not do that, but I will let you listen to both. I have done that in the past but when I had my hearing it was gone, so forgive me for not trusting the police. This way I am sure it gets played at the hearing. I will make copies so you can have one, but I am keeping the original one. I will make copies in front of you while you are listening to them.
Mike can you please call your lawyer here while the cops are here. He is already on this way. Thank you so much I will go inside with everyone once the lawyer shows up? This way no one can say that I did stuff to the recording and I plotted against them. Three minutes later the lawyer shows up we all go inside. Everyone is listening to the recordings as I am making copies one goes to the cops, one goes to the lawyer and one goes to the Mike. I time stamp them all. I also put something on them so if they try to get altered. It will show up in court. The hearing was two days later let’s just say that I am glad to have time stamp put the altering trick on the one the cops had.
Mike’s lawyer, Mike and myself bring our to court and the one the cops bring has their voice on it recording their conversation with my parents on how they will help them get me back because at the end of it I said nailed all of you lying sacks of crap with the time stamp of the other copies. See father dearest I told you, that I have learn ways of protecting myself specially from your influence. They even tried to alter the paperwork from my home are courthouse to try and make me a lair, but I had that set up if anything came through it for me and someone tried to alter it would print out the same thing. You honor my friend little w who is in the courtroom has pictures and recording from the last time they ever laid hands on me. Would you like to see them and here the recording? Yes, please play it and show me. I press play where they admitted to the cops and little w about what they did to me in the past and the pictures with the cops in them taking their own pictures. How are they not in jail for everything they did to you? The same way the cops here tried to change everything. Your honor I broke no laws to get this another information?
If you can see my name is still on the bank account and you can see all the different payments that went to my home area police department and the police department here. Your f bitch I knew we should have killed you once David was able to get you away from little w. I get up because I could feel everything getting to me and I didn’t want them to get kicks out of it. Your honor can I please leave my back and legs are bothering me. I just need to leave the courtroom. He said yes all, but Mike and the lawyer followed me out. I start shaking and breathe heavy once I am out of the courtroom. Everyone starts singing which gets me to calm down in two minutes. The lawyer and Mike come out in five minutes after I calm down with good news, but I think for right now we let you rest since you were getting ready to collapse again. You all heard them singing in there yes and the judge asked what was going on out there?
I explain that when the stress gets much for her to handle, she collapses and the only way to keep Ann from collapsing is by them singing to her. The judge was in present that all the guys followed you out and sang for you to get calm. Can we please go home? Yes, we must talk about something else when we all get home anyway. Before Ann you think that I don’t want you around anymore your brain is wrong. We all get back to the mansion I start cooking dinner everyone is in the living room talking about something. Please stop I don’t want to please stop I don’t to please someone help me please.  Why is Ann yelling that? You son of bitch get off her?  Everyone runs into the kitchen with that statement.
I am curled into a ball and my favorite guard is standing into front of me keeping the other guard off and away from me. That little bitch ruined my chance to be with her. What are you talking about her parents promised all the guards a chance to be with Ann if we helped get her away from all of you? Fred what is he talking about? I don’t know Mike this is the first I am hearing about it. Don’t you think if I know about, I would have told you to fire all the security guards? Mike if he knew about it would he be protecting Ann like he has been or now Yoongi says? Where is the rest of the security guards at? We are right here Mike. What is Kevin talking about? Ann’s mother promised if we got Ann back to them, they would let all of us have sex with her but why are we just hearing about it plus why didn’t Fred know about this plot against Ann?
Fred was with all of you when we were told plus we knew how protective he is with Ann. He would never let any of us be alone with Ann. From day one when all of this started on tour if none of the guys were around Ann, we weren’t allowed to be with her by ourselves. We could only be around if the guys or Fred was there right beside her. Mike this is true when we got back to our dressing room Fred was always right outside the door. We would ask Ann if any of the security came in to check on her? I said the one who is standing outside the door plus he would only call the rest if I had to go to the restroom and he would send in another guard to make sure it was a clear for me to use it. We all have seen how Fred is with Ann every time we need their help. Fred has been the one to act first. Fred Ann is safe you can sit down next to her. Talk to us Fred why are you so protective of Ann?
She reminds me of my little sister who is dead remember when I went home for her funeral yes, I do what happened was my little sister was killed by her abusive boyfriend who is in jail for 20 years. After her funeral I made a promise myself if I even met another female who is or was being abuse in anyway that I do my best to protect her. Fred is that why in the hotel room when I was talking about it you were keeping an eye on the door and every little noise heard you would come and stand in front of me? Yes, why didn’t you tell us about it then. I didn’t want Ann to be in fear all the time. I saw how if we walk in dark hallways or places, she would keep her head down and her hood would up. You saw me flinch every time I heard a noise and grab both their hands. Is that why you would say you’re okay I won’t let anything happen to you? Yes, I couldn’t protect my little sister since I was their security, but I do the best to protect you. Everyone but Fred is fire and I will tell you why none of you had the balls to tell me what her mother told all of you.
If I see any of you anywhere near Ann, I will look another way and let Fred do whatever he sees fit.  Can someone please finish dinner I need to go rest? Little w and Fred followed me to the living room but just stayed in the doorway watching me. Little w goes thank you for protecting Ann when I wasn’t there for her, and I am sorry about your sister. Thank you but I don’t understand why Ann didn’t fear you guys or Mike, the guys and me? Ann looks for the good in people even with everything she has been through she tries not to look for the bad in people. I will explain why Ann doesn’t fear me and my friends. What I am hoping was Ann’s last night in her parents house it was a cold night. She was walking the street with no jacket on me and Big R saw her I told him to watch for anyone to come behind her because I didn’t know what had happened to her yet. I asked her if she need a ride home because she was robbed. She tells me that it was done at home than I ask do you have a place to stay and she said no.
I tell her my name she goes Ann. I go we use code names how do you like Kim. She liked that name that is what we have been calling Ann since we meet her. She felt safe in our home area because we knew the truth, she was Ann Brown but everyone else thought she was Kim W. One of us was always with her were ever it was but we weren’t with her at the party where she met her ex at because if I would have been there, he wouldn’t even got anywhere near her. She came back happy. I asked did you have a good time she yes and she met a guy there. Being the person, I am asked can I get his name to make sure he was never in arrested for any abuse. He was but when he told Ann that it was against his father. She thought she was going to be okay. When she moved in with him, I would go over everyday to make sure she was okay and had no bruise but one day I pull up and I could hear screaming it was Ann.
I rushed in seeing him picking her up of the floor. I looked at him and asked what had happen they both said the same thing. We had to leave for work, and I left bad because I couldn’t check on her every day.  The day I met you was the you were the first time in over 4 years later seeing her. She explained to me why everything was happening with her. They were watching to see if she called me for help again. It broke my heart to hear her say those words to me that her ex was working with her parents to get her way from us. I am glad she was able to make another escape and found all of you. I still don’t know how she made it or how she got to Papa M, but I am glad he didn’t turn his back on her. Her mother came to Mike after she went missing asking for his help to find her.
One day she came up to Mike, Namjoon, Jimin and me asking for direction back to the homeless shelter she was staying in. When Mike asked her if her family knew where she was. She said no and I am not safe with them. Mike knew something was wrong if she didn’t want her family to know where she was. I had a gut feeling it was bad but not this bad. I am just glad we all were able to help her. Little w what is wrong with Ann? Shit everyone come to the living room now I yelled. Fred go sit beside her and start talking to Ann calmly. I didn’t notice Ann slipped into a flash back. Everyone comes and see Ann in a flash back, but I stop everyone from going to her.
They all looked at me confuse that is when I said we need to see if Fred can get Ann out of a flash back? This way if none of us are around Ann, but he is we know he can help Ann. Ann start coming around looking at Fred and asked what happened you had a flash back and little w wanted me to talk to you. I looked at little w and ask if you all were here why didn’t you help me out of it. Ann, I wanted to try something out with this flash back, and I was right. You only came out of a flash back, panic attack or a collapse episode with people you trust, and I wanted to see how much you trusted Fred that is why none of us help you. Mike what are we going to do about the tour coming up for the next three months? We have no security for the tour. We have seven security guards right now and I am going to hire ten more before the tour. The press agent released a statement saying due to some security issues we are pushing back the tour for 3 weeks but anyone who bought a ticket for the original dates the ticket will be honored at the concert.
Who are the other six security guards? Little w, Big R, Big J, Big K, Little s, Little b and Fred. How are going to find ten more guards that we can trust? I have a call into a friend. He is rounding up his ten and coming to us. Papa M do I know them little w ask? He said yes, it is Big W and his friends. Are you talking about Tim, Big B, little r, little k, Big S, little j, Big A, little c, Big C, and little f? Ann do we even want to know how you know them. Not really. I am in worse crap now. When are they arriving so I can get out of here? Where do you think you’re going missy? Crap their here. I am done for now.

Santa Biblia Del Nuevo Testamento Hechos 13,38,39 (Devocional) Holy Bible New Testament Acts 13,38,39
Holy Bible New Testament Acts 13,38,39 - Devotional
Therefore, I know, male brothers, that with this the remission of sins is announced to you. And of all that, by the law of Moses, you cannot be justified, by him everyone who believes is justified. Acts 13,38,39
Thought, comment, reflection: 1 Agnosticism is not allowed. "Be known to you." That is, there should be no agnosticism on this issue. It is being 'known to you'. You must know this, that the Saint who was dead did not see corruption, that he rose from the dead and that through him the forgiveness of sins is preached. This is the issue that you and I should have no doubts about. There is no agnosticism allowed at this time.
2 Forgiveness of sin; not the forgiveness of crime, it is the forgiveness of sin that is preached in the Name of Christ. It is not a crime forgiveness. Many make a mistake here. Crime can be assessed and punishment applied. Sin can be committed without crime, but crime can never be committed without sin. For example, I can forgive a crime, but I have no power to forgive sin in myself. A man committed a crime. It is expired. For six months, let's say, he is in prison. The doors are open, he is free because he has atoned for his crime. If you atoned for your crime, society will probably forgive you. But what about God? And then comes the gospel: "Through this man the forgiveness of sins is preached to you." He may say, "I can never forget that I did this, the awareness of my guilt still remains." And it is for someone that the Gospel returns home. The forgiveness of sins is through complete Jesus Christ. Our religion is not a metaphysical argument or an archaeological study. It is a gospel of good news. For those who feel that they cannot forgive themselves, He comes as the Savior Christ. We are forgiven by God.
3 Forgiveness must be with the consent of both parties. - Many make the mistake here, which is absolutely necessary to emphasize. For example, many think, and few say, 'Why can't God forgive us all and end it? If God is almighty and almighty, may he forgive us all at once and may business end. God cannot, you cannot, I cannot, because forgiveness means the consent of both parties. Both must hate sin. It is a moral impossibility that forgiveness can only come from one side. God hates sin and you must forgive it. So come in, you see, the Gospel of sin and its forgiveness. If we confess our sin, God is faithful and only to forgive us; faithful, because he promised; simply because the Lord has put the iniquity of all of us in Him.
4 When God forgives sin, he forgets. Without forgetting, there can be no real forgiveness. We say, 'Well, of course, I forgive you, but you know I can never forget it; It's not possible.' But the forgetting I am talking about here is the forgetting of the heart, not of the intelligence. The essence of God is love. God is love and therefore God is love, with him forgiveness is forgetfulness. The biblical expression for this is, as you know, that God puts sin behind him. How far is it Where is that? Even the east is west. How far is it? You can't measure this; means absolute, complete, complete. "I will forgive his iniquity and I will no longer remember his sins." You can tell me: "It is impossible that I can conceive of such a thing." Yes, I admit it, I can't understand and you don't; but we are not saved by understanding, we are saved by love.

Sued for Auto Accident Above Insurance Limit in NJ?
One year ago my wife was taking our daughter to pre-school turning left out the end of our road in to traffic, this road has a speed limit of 35 mph. Traffic had to stop to let her cross the first lane since it was solid cars, vans and small trucks. As she approached half-way, before getting a good view of oncoming traffic, another car took off the front bumper. Note that the center line is interuppted at the cross-junction. The bumper was torn from the front of the car with damage more evident on the non-impact side of the car than where initially hit, hence my wife had not initiated a turn, just edging forward to see. The radiator was in-tact, but damaged, still mounted to the front of the car. I walked to the site with our other child and took my daughter home; she is fine and I took her to school but still talks of the incident today. My wife stayed at the incident, and was fine (no later issues) keeping real calm and cooperating with police. It took about 2 hrs with police debating which town the incident took place (middle of the road is the divide) and the other driver was concerned about getting home to take a pot off the stove, but seemed medically fine. The driver asked me and the police to drive them home to get the pot off the stove and used my wifes cell phone more than once. They also wanted to drive their car home and leave the scene with a flat tire at one point I presume to attend to the pot. No tickets were issued, no air bags deployed. The other car had a flat front left tire and side damage so the drivers door was stuck shut. Both cars were old, so written off. Over a year later we received a court summons from their attorney and we are being sued for $750,000. Our limit is $100,000 on insurance. The plaintiff is claiming herniated discs and loss of bowel control. We have a 2006 no money down mortgage, so total equity is very much in the red since our home value plummeted. I have no umbrella policy. I am sole income, but was owner of the car my wife was driving. My wife is stay-at-home mom. The remaining $650,000 would be a big problem. Interestingly, we heard that the other driver called our insurance and asked for a >100-fold lower amount of money to just go away! Our insurer recalls this very clearly and did not pay. Questions: Should I invest in an attorney to work with our insurers attorney to cover the $650K over our limit? Do we have any case given the car the other driver may have been in a rush (as all were aware of the pot on the stove), would have settled for far less, and in reported safety tests should avoid an obstacle at 55mph let alone at the speed limit of 35 mph? Their case, as I understand, is to actually prove my wife was negligent, she was just trying to see. Reality and the law are complicated I understand. Our insurer is looking in to the validity of their medical claims. I believe for spinal and neck injuries plaintiffs have to follow careful insurance approved treatment plans in NJ. I know that such a condition may not be permanent with curative surgery possible to release the nerves that may be causing the bowel issue. The plaintiff has claimed the injury as permanent, do they need to prove this? Should we ask experts? The plaintiff lives in our town and their house is on my running route every other day. I have not noted anything at all and plan to stay away from all other parties. Should I change my running route? Thanks for any advice. Our 30 day clock is ticking.""

If you don't intend to drive your car but it has car tax then your car HAS to be insured by law. But what about the other way round ...? Male vs. female car insurance?

How are insurance companies able to do this, no matter how many statistics they have saying we crash more, speed more often, ect...? This is discrimination vs. my gender, and for all they know I could drive like a granny. Now consider this: if statistics showed that blacks were twice as likely to crash than whites, could insurance companies charge more? No way! The NAACP would be all over them. That would be unfair to the black drivers that may drive safe. I just dont get why I am charged way more than what a girl gets charged, even though I am a very safe driver.""

I know figures vary for type of car and all that. But we're talking average here. I imagine most young people are not going to be able to afford brand new cars, and will be cost-concious, so will go for older models anyway. Simplicity and good customer service would be nice of course. I'm pretty busy with school as it is. Finally: term or whole? Vegas Shooter Had Interest In Guns, Video Poker, Real Estate
This undated photo provided by Eric Paddock shows his brother, Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock. On Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival killing dozens and wounding hundreds. (Courtesy of Eric Paddock via AP)
MESQUITE, Nev. — Stephen Paddock had a penchant for guns, high-limit video poker and real estate deals. His father was a notorious fugitive bank robber. He had a recent live-in girlfriend and two ex-wives and seemed to live a comfortable life in a Nevada retirement community.
His life is the subject of a sprawling investigation into what drove him to show up at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino with at least 10 suitcases filled with guns and open fire from his 32nd floor suite on a country music festival, killing 59 people and injuring nearly 530. Law enforcement and family members could not explain what would motivate a one-time accountant with no known criminal record to inflict so much carnage. Las Vegas police said he had 23 guns at the hotel, including semiautomatic rifles, and 19 at his home along with thousands of rounds of ammunition.
The 64-year-old gunman killed himself in the hotel room before authorities arrived.
On the surface, Paddock didn’t seem like a typical mass murderer, said Clint Van Zandt, a former FBI hostage negotiator and supervisor in the bureau’s behavioral science unit. Paddock is much older than the typical shooter and was not known to be suffering from mental illness.
The brother of the gunman in the mass shooting Sunday night at a music concert in Las Vegas said there’s no logic to explain the shooting. Eric Paddock said his brother played video poker to “stay at home in the casino.″ (Oct. 2)
“My challenge is, I don’t see any of the classic indicators, so far, that would suggest, ’OK, he’s on the road either to suicide or homicide or both,” Van Zandt said.
Nevertheless, his actions suggest that he had planned the attacks for at least a period of days.
Some of the rifles had scopes, the sheriff said. And authorities found two gun stocks that could have let him modify weapons to make them fully automatic, according to two U.S. officials briefed by law enforcement who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still unfolding.
“He knew what he wanted to do. He knew how he was going to do it, and it doesn’t seem like he had any kind of escape plan at all,” Van Zandt said.
Asked about a potential motive, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said he could not “get into the mind of a psychopath at this point.”
“I can’t even make something up,” his bewildered brother, Eric Paddock, told reporters Monday. “There’s just nothing.”
Public records offered no hint of financial distress or criminal history, though multiple people who knew him said he was a big gambler.
“No affiliation, no religion, no politics. He never cared about any of that stuff,” Eric Paddock said as he alternately wept and shouted. “He was a guy who had money. He went on cruises and gambled.”
Eric Paddock also told The Associated Press that he had not talked to his brother in six months and last heard from him when Stephen checked in briefly by text message after Hurricane Irma. Their mother spoke with him about two weeks ago, and when he found out recently that she needed a walker, he sent her one, Eric Paddock said.
Eric Paddock recalled receiving a recent text from his brother showing “a picture that he won $40,000 on a slot machine. But that’s the way he played.”
He described his brother as a multimillionaire and said they had business dealings and owned property together. He said he was not aware that his brother had gambling debts.
“He had substantial wealth. He’d tell me when he’d win. He’d grouse when he’d lost. He never said he’d lost $4 million or something. I think he would have told me.”
Heavily armed police searched Paddock’s home Monday in Mesquite, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas near the Arizona border, looking for clues. Paddock lived there with his 62-year-old girlfriend, who authorities said was out of the country when the shooting happened. Eric Paddock described her as kindly and said she sometimes sent cookies to his mother.
Police also searched a two-bedroom home Paddock owned in a retirement community in Reno, 500 miles from Mesquite.
While Stephen Paddock appeared to have no criminal history, his father was a notorious bank robber, Eric Paddock said. Benjamin Hoskins Paddock tried to run down an FBI agent with his car in Las Vegas in 1960 and wound up on the agency’s most wanted list after escaping from a federal prison in Texas in 1968, when Stephen Paddock was a teen.
The oldest of four children, Paddock was 7 when his father was arrested for the robberies. A neighbor, Eva Price, took him swimming while FBI agents searched the family home.
She told the Tucson Citizen at the time: “We’re trying to keep Steve from knowing his father is held as a bank robber. I hardly know the family, but Steve is a nice boy. It’s a terrible thing.”
An FBI poster issued after the escape said Benjamin Hoskins Paddock had been “diagnosed as psychopathic” and should be considered “armed and very dangerous.” He’d been serving a 20-year sentence for a string of bank robberies in Phoenix.
The elder Paddock remained on the lam for nearly a decade, living under an assumed name in Oregon. Investigators found him in 1978 after he attracted publicity for opening the state’s first licensed bingo parlor. He died in 1998.
Stephen Paddock bought his one-story, three-bedroom home in a newly built Mesquite subdivision for $369,000, in 2015, property records show. Past court filings and recorded deeds in California and Texas suggest he co-owned rental property.
He previously lived in another Mesquite — the Dallas suburb of Mesquite, Texas — from 2004 to 2012, according to Mesquite, Texas, police Lt. Brian Parrish. Paddock owned at least three separate rental properties, Parrish said, and there was no indication the police department had any contact with him over that time.
He has been divorced at least twice, including marriages that ended in 1980 and 1990. One of the ex-wives lives in Southern California, where a large gathering of reporters congregated in her neighborhood. Los Angeles police Sgt. Cort Bishop said she did not want to speak with journalists. He relayed that the two had not been in contact for a long time and did not have children.
In 2012, Paddock sued the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Resorts in Nevada, saying he slipped and fell on a wet floor there. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed by a judge and settled by arbitration.
Reached by telephone, Paddock’s lawyer at the time, Jared R. Richards, said he could not comment because of client confidentiality concerns.

The new face of Trump’s legal team has never done anything like this — and allies think he’s the perfect fit
When Jay Sekulow found himself backed into a corner during a heated interview with Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday, he pulled out his inner Trump.
The host of “Fox News Sunday” was pressing Sekulow on President Donald Trump’s Friday tweet, in which Trump wrote: “I am under investigation.”
Wallace and Sekulow, a big time conservative lawyer who is quickly becoming the face of Trump’s legal team, went back and forth on the issue. Sekulow, while trying to explain why Trump wasn’t personally under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller, found himself saying that Trump was under investigation. Twice.
“You’ve now said that he is being investigated,” Wallace said.
“No, Chris,” Sekulow replied. “Let me be crystal clear so you completely understand: We have not received nor are we aware of any investigation of the president of the United States.”
“Sir, you’ve just said two times that he’s being investigated,” Wallace said.
As the president has done on many occasions, Sekulow then doubled- and tripled-down on his point even while his rhetoric from just moments before contradicted it. Trump was not under investigation, he reiterated time and time again.
And he became more forceful in each answer.
“I just gave you the legal theory, Chris, of how the Constitution works,” Sekulow said.
“If in fact it was correct that the president was being investigated, he would be investigated for taking an action that an agency told him to take,” he continued, referring to Trump’s firing of James Comey as FBI director, which reportedly sparked the investigation into Trump. “So that is protected under the Constitution.”
By the time the testy exchange reached the question of whether Trump would fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein or Mueller, Sekulow had turned his ire onto Wallace himself.
“Here’s what you’re trying to do, Chris,” Sekulow said.
“Now you’re reading minds again,” Wallace replied.
“No, Chris, I deal with fact and law,” Sekulow said. “You’re asking me to read people’s minds.”
It was the most notable moment from Sekulow’s wild tour across four of the five Sunday shows on his second week of appearing on such programs to defend his newest client, the president of the United States.
Without much fanfare or even notification, Sekulow had appeared on TV as a member of the legal team defending Trump from the increasingly pointed investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials in the 2016 presidential election and, more recently, whether Trump himself committed obstruction of justice in his firing of Comey.
The recent addition to Trump’s legal team, which also includes his private attorney Marc Kasowitz and former US Attorney John Dowd, an expert in white-collar criminal law, happens to be the only member who has experience litigating before the Supreme Court. His record in those cases is eight wins and four losses.
But although that experience comes with an impressive record of victories, Sekulow has no experience in anything similar to the kind of battle that Trump is now facing.
Those who know Sekulow, however, aren’t surprised that he’s taking on Trump’s battle. And even though he has no experience in white-collar crime, some say he is the perfect choice to be the face of the president’s legal team.
Still, Sekulow is a controversial figure in his own right.
Through a spokesperson, Sekulow, in addition to anyone from the American Center for Law and Justice legal organization he heads, declined to comment for this story.
Who is he?
Jay Alan Sekulow, 61, was born in Brooklyn, New York.
A seminal moment for Sekulow happened in college, when the Jewish New Yorker underwent a spiritual awakening and found Jesus. It would become the starter for his involvement with the non-profit organization Jews for Jesus, which led him to his first battle in front of the Supreme Court. And, later, to his partnership with televangelist Pat Robertson and his crusade for causes important to the religious right.
But before he found himself arguing constitutional law before the nation’s highest court, Sekulow was an Atlanta-based tax attorney who ran his own law firm almost as soon as he left college.
Jeffrey Cohen, an Atlanta tax attorney, worked at Sekulow’s firm in the early 1980s. It wasn’t a fruitful partnership, as Cohen sued Sekulow after he failed to pay Cohen a promised year-end $20,000 bonus after an eight-month stint at the firm. Cohen won the suit, and he told Business Insider the jury gave him everything he wanted “plus attorney’s fees.” In 1991, he described the experience at Sekulow’s firm as “an eight-month nightmare.”
Cohen said he’s only spoken to Sekulow one time over the past three decades — a 10-second “cordial” exchange in the Atlanta airport. Although he sued Sekulow, Cohen said the two “never had a bad relationship” during his stint at the firm.
“We weren’t what I would call friends, we weren’t butting heads either,” he said.
Cohen described the young Sekulow as “fantastically successful.”
“One thing I’ll never forget about him was that given that he was younger than me,” Cohen said. “And I was young.”
He continued: “His law firm was very new, he hadn’t been practicing law a long time at all. Yet he was mind-numbingly successful at bringing in new clients, a number of clients. … He was very charming and an excellent business generator.”
The Atlanta tax attorney admitted to seeing some of the clips of Sekulow on TV defending Trump, expressing little surprise.
“This is a man who’s had his own television show, radio show, been in the public eye and he is very comfortable, evidently, in front of the camera, behind a microphone,” he said. “And I am not surprised at all that he is that smooth and eloquent as he was back then. He was a prodigy in terms of being impressive and charming and never at a loss for words. I compliment him highly from that standpoint.”
Things came to a quick crash for Sekulow from his early days in Atlanta. In 1986, after he and his associates were sued for fraud and securities violations related to a development project, Sekulow declared bankruptcy. Later that year, he signed on as general counsel for Jews for Jesus.
The following year, he won a 9-0 decision for the group at the Supreme Court, arguing in defense of Jews for Jesus’ right to hand pamphlets out at the Los Angeles International Airport. It was the first of 12 cases he’d argue before the Supreme Court over the next 21 years, almost all of which were similar in nature to the Jews for Jesus case.
In 1992, he joined forces with Robertson and became chief legal counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which was dubbed a conservative alternative to the American Civil Liberties Union. That organization has since expanded throughout the world to promote Christian and religious-right causes.
Sekulow has previously come under fire for reportedly using the ACLJ, where he is chief executive officer, and another legal nonprofit, Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (CASE), to build “a financial empire that generates millions of dollars a year and supports a lavish lifestyle — complete with multiple homes, chauffeur-driven cars, and a private jet that he once used to ferry Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia,” according to a 2005 story in Legal Times.
In 2011, a Tennessean investigation reported that the two non-profits paid out “$33 million to members of Sekulow’s family and businesses they own or co-own” over a span of 13 years.
Both organizations have raked in millions of dollars.
The ACLJ, Bloomberg reported, pulled in more than $19 million in grants and contributions in 2015, the most recent year an IRS filing is available. Sekulow’s family members occupy many of the organization’s most important positions, including chief financial officer, chief executive officer, and director of major donors. Although Bloomberg found that the filing showed Sekulow received no salary from the ACLJ in 2015, the nonprofit transferred more than $5 million to a Washington law firm that Sekulow is a 50% owner of.
CASE, the other non-profit, raised more than $52 million in 2015, according to its filing. Bloomberg reported that four of Sekulow’s family members, including his wife and brother, serve on the CASE board of directors, and the organization transferred roughly $16 million to the ACLJ in addition to payments of about $1.2 million to Sekulow-owned businesses.
Michael McLachlan, a Colorado attorney who served as the state’s solicitor general in 1999, when he won a Supreme Court decision for the state over Sekulow in Hill v. Colorado, pointed to Sekulow’s money-making abilities as a cause for question during an interview with Business Insider.
“He’s kind of like what I would consider a legal Billy Sunday or Elmer Gantry,” McLachlan said, referencing the early 20th Century evangelist and his fictional 1920s evangelical peer who both made a great deal of money from their preaching. “He’s in the camp raiding the money.”
“These little old ladies mailing in their welfare checks to the 700 Club and to [Sekulow] … Hey, I mean I think that somebody needs to get a little handle on what he’s making millions and millions of dollars a year on television,” he said. “And, he’s a good lawyer, don’t misunderstand me, I’m not faulting him as being a good lawyer.”
McLachlan, who served a brief stint as a Democratic representative in the Colorado House of Representatives earlier this decade, said there’s “no doubt that” Sekulow is “experienced in Supreme Court arguments,” but added that “he’s successful in my opinion more than he should be.”
“As far as the merits of what he does, he’s an extremely effective voice for the religious right,” he said. “And at the same time, he’s making millions and millions of dollars a year, really, fundraising through television. And it’s very unique. I would love to see his tax returns.”
Sekulow, who had influential roles as a Supreme Court adviser to President George W. Bush and as an adviser to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in 2008 and 2012, has mostly transitioned from Supreme Court litigator to television pundit in recent years. Sekulow is a frequent guest on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s program, and on a number of Christian broadcasting programs. He also hosts “Jay Sekulow Live!” along with his son, Jordan. The show is syndicated on satellite radio.
“Jay is a incredible lawyer, a gifted communicator,” Hannity told Business Insider in an email. “His track record with Supreme Court cases speaks for itself. He knows and understands the law, the Constitution and is a passionate articulate advocate for those he represents.”
“I think people are missing the strategic intent behind it”
David French, a longtime friend and former colleague of Sekulow’s at the ACLJ, told Business Insider that it makes perfect sense for Trump to bring on the attorney to his legal team.
Even though most onlookers are questioning why a lawyer with Sekulow’s background in fighting for legal causes of the religious right would fit into the picture in this instance, French, now a writer at The National Review, said it actually makes perfect sense, adding that onlookers are “missing” something big in their analysis.
“I’m hearing all these people say ‘oh, well, Jay is not a white-collar criminal defense lawyer,'” French said. “They totally misunderstand the nature of this proceeding. I don’t think the real issue is ‘will Donald Trump face a jury in the Southern District of New York or in DC.’ The really important issue is ‘is this a scandal that can threaten a presidency up to the potential of impeachment?’ That’s the real guts of this. And that’s a political question that is heavily influenced by legal arguments.”
“Jay’s a very, very good lawyer,” he continued. “But what he’s been spending years doing is making political arguments from a legal perspective. And he’s a master at it. So no, it doesn’t surprise me one bit that Trump would hire Jay or retain Jay for that purpose. And I think people are missing the strategic intent behind it and the strategic sense of it.”
French, who co-authored a 2014 book with Sekulow about the Islamic State terror group, called Sekulow a “very effective” and “very forceful public communicator.”
“Unfortunately, Trump has been ill-served by some of his spokesmen,” he said. “Now, Trump compounds a heck of a lot of his problems with his irresponsible and reckless tweeting and his own lack of discipline. I mean, arguably he’s right now sleeping in a bed that he has made through his own statements and his own actions. But, you know, if there’s one thing that he needs, it’s forceful and effective public advocates who can go into the court of public opinion and make a strong legal argument and put it in a way that people can and will understand.”
To French, it’s becoming clear that Sekulow is becoming the public face of Trump’s legal team.
“If you just judge Jay’s performance vs. some of the other legal spokespeople for Trump, I think Jay’s in his element,” French said.
McLachlan also said he too was not surprised to see Trump tap Sekulow to join the legal team.
“In fact, it’s in my opinion it really is par for the course as far as [Sekulow’s] career path,” he said. “And you know, President Trump’s close to Pat Robertson, he’s close to Liberty University, he’s close to the religious right.”
It’s clear too to McLachlan that Sekulow is going to be the face of Trump’s high-profile team. McLachlan thinks the president wanted it this way because Sekulow “has a huge following” and “is articulate.”
McLachlan pointed to Sekulow’s interview with Wallace.
“As you saw in the interview he did on television, the president tweeted ‘I am under investigation.’ Those are a series of unequivocal words,” McLachlan said. “And [then] Jay Sekulow got into his mealy mouth an explanation that made it sound as if he’s not really sure.”

"Jay is a incredible lawyer, a gifted communicator," Hannity told Business Insider in an email. "His track record with Supreme Court cases speaks for itself. He knows and understands the law, the Constitution and is a passionate articulate advocate for those he represents."
"I think people are missing the strategic intent behind it"
David French, a longtime friend and former colleague of Sekulow's at the ACLJ, told Business Insider that it makes perfect sense for Trump to bring on the attorney to his legal team.
Even though most onlookers are questioning why a lawyer with Sekulow's background in fighting for legal causes of the religious right would fit into the picture in this instance, French, now a writer at The National Review, said it actually makes perfect sense, adding that onlookers are "missing" something big in their analysis.
"I'm hearing all these people say 'oh, well, Jay is not a white-collar criminal defense lawyer,'" French said. "They totally misunderstand the nature of this proceeding. I don't think the real issue is 'will Donald Trump face a jury in the Southern District of New York or in DC.' The really important issue is 'is this a scandal that can threaten a presidency up to the potential of impeachment?' That's the real guts of this. And that's a political question that is heavily influenced by legal arguments."
"Jay's a very, very good lawyer," he continued. "But what he's been spending years doing is making political arguments from a legal perspective. And he's a master at it. So no, it doesn't surprise me one bit that Trump would hire Jay or retain Jay for that purpose. And I think people are missing the strategic intent behind it and the strategic sense of it."
French, who co-authored a 2014 book with Sekulow about the Islamic State terror group, called Sekulow a "very effective" and "very forceful public communicator."
"Unfortunately, Trump has been ill-served by some of his spokesmen," he said. "Now, Trump compounds a heck of a lot of his problems with his irresponsible and reckless tweeting and his own lack of discipline. I mean, arguably he's right now sleeping in a bed that he has made through his own statements and his own actions. But, you know, if there's one thing that he needs, it's forceful and effective public advocates who can go into the court of public opinion and make a strong legal argument and put it in a way that people can and will understand."
To French, it's becoming clear that Sekulow is becoming the public face of Trump's legal team.
"If you just judge Jay's performance vs. some of the other legal spokespeople for Trump, I think Jay's in his element," French said.
McLachlan also said he too was not surprised to see Trump tap Sekulow to join the legal team.
"In fact, it's in my opinion it really is par for the course as far as [Sekulow's] career path," he said. "And you know, President Trump's close to Pat Robertson, he's close to Liberty University, he's close to the religious right."
It's clear too to McLachlan that Sekulow is going to be the face of Trump's high-profile team. McLachlan thinks the president wanted it this way because Sekulow "has a huge following" and "is articulate."
McLachlan pointed to Sekulow's interview with Wallace.
"As you saw in the interview he did on television, the president tweeted 'I am under investigation.' Those are a series of unequivocal words," McLachlan said. "And [then] Jay Sekulow got into his mealy mouth an explanation that made it sound as if he's not really sure."

Do We Need News Regularly?     In all the hubbub concerning the Oscar presenter Warren Beatty majorly screwing up regarding announcing the winner of the Best Picture award during the recent Academy Awards telecast, you might have easily missed this ad that ran during said ceremony having to do with the New York Times. In point of fact, it was constructed by the New York Times, concentrating on the notion of "truth." The aforementioned ad began: "The truth is our nation is more divided than ever," and going on from there to quote statements from both Trump supporters ("The truth is that the media is dishonest; The truth is we have to protect our borders...The truth is all lives matter") and Trump opponents ("The truth is women's rights are human rights...The truth is we need a full investigation of Russian ties; The truth is this country was built by immigrants"). The ad ended by asserting: "The truth is hard to find. The truth is hard to know. The truth is more important now than ever."It was David Rubin, the Times's branding executive, who told CNN, concerning said ad: "The idea [of the ad] is [for the Times] to be a part of that discussion about what does it mean to find the truth...We [at the Times] wanted a high profile media moment. This felt like a great moment for people to respond and react to the spot." (True to form, Trump, along with many of his supporters, took offense to the ad, charging that it had an anti-Trump slant, with Our Prez himself tweeting: "For first time the failing @ny times will take an ad (a bad one) to help save its failing reputation. Try reporting accurately & fairly!")                   Well, well, now. What I am going to speak to is not the state of the nation--anybody who is even passably aware would say that, yes, this country is currently significantly split--nor whether or not Trump and his backers are right in their stance regarding the Times--as one who grew up following the aforementioned publication, I can say with accuracy that this is one of the scant handful of times that the Prez and his constituency are right; the Times, like my hometown newspaper the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, has and has long had an unmistakable Phil Donahue-esque hair-shirt-liberal-guilt bias. No, my purpose will be to address the entire issue of the Times--and, by extension, the Mainstream Media in general--bestowing upon themselves the mantle of "truth." The fact is, I have reached the conclusion, based on undeniable evidence, that, pace the often-overheated claims of media practitioners and cloistered academics, mainstream journalism is not and has long not been all that necessary in regard to the American landscape, that there have been many, many times that vital to us as a country.               First off, let's look at the very nature of how we consume news. For all the talk concerning "the power of the press" and all the referencing of "The Fourth Estate," the cold, hard reality is that the press has said power because...we, the public, have willfully ceded it to them. Yes, the Constitution mandates "freedom of the press," but, in truth, that is literally the only constitutionally-protected right the press has. There is nothing, nothing in the Constitution or the law that says that says that we, the public, must partake of them. In his much-talked-about media chronicle What The People Know: Freedom and the Press, the greatly-respected political reporter-writer Richard Reeves twice quoted the Nightline host Ted Koppel giving a speech at the end of a 1997 dinner of the Committee To Protect Journalists wherein Koppel aggressively urged his brother and sister newspersons to maintain their integrity and to never, ever succumb to commercial lures. But, in point of fact, we could have turned off Koppel--or, for that matter, Dan Rather or Bill Moyers or David Muir or any of their television-news brethren--at any time, even in mid-sentence, and there wouldn't have been a damned thing any of them could have done about it. And the same thing goes for the print media. During Watergate, Time magazine published the results of a poll they had taken that revealed, among other findings, that since most folks saw no way to oust Nixon without doing large-scale damage to the country, they were getting flat-out tired of the entire matter. In a later issue, said publication flatly asserted: "The public simply has no right to get tired of Watergate." Now this was an outright damned-foolish statement for them to make because--and, indeed, a later letter writer openly pointed this out--if we, the public, had wanted to fully tune out Time magazine's and all the media's Watergate coverage, we could have--and neither Time nor any of the other media could have struck back in any capacity. Indeed, it was the longtime TV anchorperson/commentator David Brinkley who freely pointed out to TV Guide, concerning the media's "power": "There are numerous countries in the world where the politicians have seized absolute power and muzzled the press. There is no country in the world where the press has seized absolute power and muzzled the politicians [emphasis mine]." Also: During the past presidential campaign there was not one newspaper, not one, that endorsed Trump--and, in fact, many publications that had never, ever endorsed a political candidate either backed Hillary or blatantly condemned Trump. Obviously, these happenings didn't make a nickel's worth of difference.             A personal note here. For quite some time now it has been a truism that virtually the only media of which I majorly, regularly partake are the Today show's Fourth Hour with Kathie Lee/Hoda Woman, the Saturday-Sunday editions of Good Morning America, theatrical films, books, the Internet, and DVDs. And frankly...I've never felt better in my life! Not only have I not for one minute felt one bit guilty about having little "curiosity," but I have never been sued, I have never had my possessions commandeered, I have never been put behind bars. And, as mentioned, I'VE FELT FANTASTIC!             That's the first point. Secondly--and I've dealt with this previously--the reality is, for all the huffing and puffing to the contrary, the Mainstream Media do not have and have never had any genuine power. As such esteemed journalist-columnists as Jimmy Breslin and Pete Hamill have pointed out, what a writer, any writer, turns out has always had little, if any, immediate impact. I know what you want to enquire here: But what about the media's role in ending the Vietnam war? Didn't all that journalistic coverage, especially on television,  play a major part in bringing that insanity to a close? And what about journalism's role in the success of the racial-equality struggle? Didn't media coverage, particularly televised media coverage, have a very large hand in enabling blacks to get on an even keel with whites? In response to these queries, I say: "Hell, no!" Concerning Vietnam, what turned us, the public, against that viciousness was, as, ironically, Dan Rather--"with" Gary Paul Gates--pointed out in his legendary first-Nixon-presidency chronicle The Palace Guard, was the simple fact that it was our brothers and our husbands and our sons who were losing their lives over there--truths that, needless to say, we already knew and didn't need the Mainstream Media to tell us about. Concerning black equality--and, again, I've taken this up before--the decisive factor here was...Barry Goldwater. When he squared off against Lyndon Johnson in the 1964 presidential campaign, L.B.J., greatly assisted by Goldwater's own rhetoric, made him out to be an unstable reactionary loon. Thus Goldwater was massively defeated, his extremism-is-no-vice style of conservatism sent other Republican public-office-seekers into the electoral toilet along with him, and, hence, with so many Democrats installed in so many public offices, the Great Society was launched, and, therefore, there were all those landmark forward strides in racial equality during the 1960s. Indeed, I shall go so far as to contend that if the Mainstream Media were, en masse, wiped out, if this nation's leading newspapers (the Times, the Washington Post, et al) went out of business, if the Big Three TV networks, along with this nation's leading newsmagazines (Time magazine, et al), stopped dealing in news altogether, confining themselves to presenting only entertainment and sports, if all--all--news were literally left to radio--which, in truth, is and always has been where most blacks get their information and their entertainment--and to the Internet and to the all-news cable-television networks (CNN, MSNBC, et al), the vast majority of us...wouldn't care a crap. As long as men continued to be able to watch their baseball games and their football games and their basketball games and women continued to be able to watch their daytime soaps and their Lifetime films and continued to be able to read their romance novels, there would, by and large, be no public outcry against this monumental reduction regarding news.               It was a reviewer of David Halberstam's much-debated media study The Powers That Be who nakedly asserted that, while it has been intensely useful in the past, much of the time we as a nation have gotten along perfectly well without mass communication. So let us not allow the Times or any other major journalistic organ to delude us into believing that it is some great conveyor of pure and unvarnished "truth." A wholly honest look at American history will very quickly lead to the conclusion that, when used in concern with the mainstream reportorial community, that word is fiercely misapplied.

Cohen said he’s only spoken to Sekulow one time over the past three decades — a 10 second “cordial” exchange in the Atlanta airport.
