Out of all the reasons why I will never accept or believe the theory that Lucien and Elain's bond is fake or will be rejected, there is one that always sticks with me.

It really comes down to this: I do not believe sjm would do that to Lucien. She already had him convinced he lost his mate once when Jesminda was murdered in front of him. I cannot wrap my head around the idea that sjm would have him think he's finally found his true mate and be desperate to get to know her, only for it to be fake, AGAIN. Because at what point do we have to stop and look at a character and wonder, okay, what does the author want us to learn from him/take away from this? That no matter how good you are, no matter how loyal and patient and kind you remain despite your suffering, it will never be enough? Wouldn't that be the message we would draw from Lucien's character arc if he loses his mate again, whether it be by rejection or due to a fake bond? I can't think of a character less deserving of this than Lucien.

The best thing happening in the acotar fandom rn is the tamlin hate dying out.Every time I see a tamlin post I get ready to fight for my life in the comments but now most of them end up being positive and its just crazy witnessing the complete switch up.Just a few months ago saying you like tamlin would’ve gotten you crucified now it’s probably the more popular stance on his character.People are finally understanding the complexity of his character and his actions.They acknowledge him as being flawed but don’t perceive him as a villain anymore.They want him to get his own book and his very overdue healing arc.They’re finally admitting he’s fine as hell—I mean is the world healing or what.
