Holding back more threatening tears she slid her mouth against his.

Tav was not a small Drow, usually towering over people. Seeing the tops of heads as she walked. Her body was thick, full, tall.

But Halsin dwarfed her. The hand on her thigh with a wide reach, thumb reaching the sensitive skin on the inside. It made her chest flutter.

Feeling her need rising, she pushed her hand into his long hair. The tip of his ear sharp against her knuckle.

She naturally slid onto his lap, straddling him. It felt so instinctual, always did with her if she was honest, but especially here. Especially with him. Like he was designed to be loved.

She pulled at the hem of his tunic, lifting. He followed her, pulling it over his head, dropping into the grass.

He chuckled, "The compliments are welcome, but you..."

Trailing his fingers down the curve of her neck, eyes full of wonder. "You are the one to be marveled at here."

Another chuckle, low in his throat. "Apologies."

r/sims2help's wiki guide is really good, I would highly recommend using the web installer they link it makes it piss easy. I've installed the game using both the web installer and the g4tw torrent and the web installer is better lol. I've never had good luck with graphicsrulemaker though so u may have to go in and edit that file yourself (fixes the game not recognizing that ur gpu usnt a piece a 2004 shit basically)

I really recommend using lazyduchess's RPC launcher as well, the web installer will download it for you as an option. It fixes an important bug relating to sim genetics and fixes sim shadows without the need for a separate mod. There's quite a few other options too but I don't use them (like high quality lot imposters. crashes my game lol)

If you have an AMD graphics card, you may experience really long start times for your game (like itll show up in task manager for 10 minutes before actually launching) so like. DON'T panic i had this issue lol. You'll want to follow this guide to installing dxvk just don't install it if ur not having #problems bc it does have some tradeoffs.

I think that should be pretty much it as far as getting the game to run goes, there's a few mods that you'll want to have but I really would not worry about it until you know you're gonna be playing this game for a While bc some of their setups are really fucking annoying (clean neighborhood templates...)

Also since a mutual asked and i think a lot of new people are getting into the sims here are some packs/mods/cc stuff i think is necessary based on my gameplay. i will try to include links to anything that needs them (i dont have torrent leaks so someone else can provide!). And also these are just my opinion haha feel free to add on! This will be long so its below cut

1: packs: this wont include all packs, anything not listed i gen havent really thought about enough to put in my list.

Necessary packs: seasons, get to work, get together, city living, cats and dogs, dine out, tiny living, parenthood (based on watching other simmers i dont own this)

Packs i think are fun but not necessary: eco lifestyle, werewolves, spa day, vampires, paranormal, nifty knitting, laundry day,

Packs i want to get but dont know much about: cottage living, snowy escape, dream home decorator, the wedding one, highschool one, toddler stuff, kids room, parenthood

Packs i have but i find to be meh: realm of magic, get famous (only slightly),

Packs i will never get willingly (meaning i would never pay for this full price): journey to batuu, strangerville, my first pet, vintage glamour, romantic garden, spooky stuff, luxury party

Kits: scam, but they do seem cool overall. desert luxe is a great build kit just for the curtains alone (i got this for free during a special time offer).

2: mods that i think are necessary

I dont play with a lot of mods so the only thing i'd highly recommend is MCCC (or mc command center): LINK

this mod allows you to control so many aspects/cheats in your game so much easier from allowing polyamory to inducing labor in your sim to aging people up, to editing sims in cas, this mod really can do anything and everything its a staple in the community!

one mod i wouldnt recommend (unless there was a recent update to it...) is the remove EA eyelashes mods as at least for me it gave me a lot of glitches with occult sims having no face at all! so i stopped using it

Other important mods that i dont use yet but a lot of people use and i will be using soon: stop werewolves from howling in cas (believe me its so fucking annoying), stop vampires growling in cas, stop spellcasters in cas (cant find the link to this) (you can also apparently use cheats on the clockspeed to get them to sto moving i think...)

Modthesims is a good resource for any mods you want to find! I also search reddit occasionally for recommendations. Plus id recommend to go on youtube and watch simmers who use a lot of mods for popular ones!

3: custom content how to

Custom content are things you add to the game such as clothing, furniture, makeup, etc!

There are a few websites you can get custom content (cc): the sims resource, tumblr (just type in sims 4 cc!),, and soon the sims 4 will be partnering with cursedforge for things so look out for that!

cc creators i love/have loved: pralinesims (i think they stopped making cc?), kijiko, grimcookies, bergdorfverse, twistedcat (for eyebrows), sheabuttyr (previously savvy!), candysims4, johnnysims, ridgecookies, spectacledchic (though i dont think they make cc anymore but i used to love their clothes esp in sims3. it just may not be updated anymore!), shakeproductions,

some important cc to get imo: kijiko's 3D eyelashes (recommend the accessories one and the perma ones so you can wear glasses), a default skin overlay (i use ediurnes'), a default eyecolor set,

Maxis or realistic cc? -> some people love sims to be hyper realistic so there is a lot of cc in that category. Maxis match means custom content that matches the sort of cartoony style of the sims 4. I prefer maxis match hair and stuff but i do use realistic cc for clothes/skin/eye color/eyelashes. You can do whatever you want.

Make sure you always download the MESH: some cc is a recolor of another cc! So if you download the recolor without the original mesh it wont work. esp on tumblr at least or on download sites they should specify if its a recolor or not and link the mesh!

Why is cd better than

than vinyl? several reasons, um

any cd you buy from anywhere, can be easily uploaded onto a computer and then you have the music files forever. you can thrift a cd or get it from a used records store and the mp3s can become yours to put on any device or to burn a new cd. if you buy a new vinyl now from like bandcamp or whatever, they generally give you a download link for the songs (well bandcamp does right after you buy it no matter what format, but i also mean if you bought a new vinyl directly from the artist or something, like a vinyl of a recent album made in the last several years) but if you get a really cool thrifted vinyl, you cant have the mp3 files unless you buy them digitally or torrent it, and then youre spending more money to get something that a cd promises you outright or you have to torrent which is harder than putting a cd in and just doing it. plus its not illegal to rip a cd

portability. cds are much smaller and easily fit into a cd book or something so you could carry many at once, plus a lot of cars that are still on the road have cd players. i guess if you dont drive or your car doesnt this isnt really a factor for you, but very few cars ever had record players and the ones that did are like 70 years old at this point. plus when im in the car i get the best audio quality from a cd, downloaded streamed songs or downloaded files on an phone or an ipod dont compare. plus cd walkmans exist, theres no portable vinyl player like that.

cds are endlessly copyable, most of the cds that i keep in my car are burned copies of the albums i own. i dont like to keep the originals in the car because it would suck if it got stolen or fucked up because its in the car somehow. you can also burn your own cds of a totally unique playlist. you cant with vinyl

sometimes you can just buy a vinyl that wasnt pressed right, and itll suck and not sound how its supposed to, and also they slowly die and wear out the more you play them. not a problem with cds, though they can wear out or rot or whatever, i have a lot of experience buying used cds from a lot of different sources (many different thrift stores, used record stores, ebay, etc) and sometimes one wont upload to my computer for whatever reason, but itll stll play in a cd player. i have a few cds that are like, some of the very first albums released on cd from the 80s that work completely perfectly still.

a good vinyl player is really expensive. the mass produced ones sold in places like urban outfitters suck, and it takes alot more to get an actual good one. you can walk into any thrift store and find a really good cd player for like, under 20 bucks generally. some cd players do have better speakers than others, but even a cheap one will be pretty good unless its absolute shit. also cds themselves tend to be cheaper, used or new. i just checked a few artists on bandcamp and cds are $10-$14 dollars generally, but vinyl are $20-$30. and the same goes for used too, because theyre more popular used places sell them for more. theres less competition with cds because theyre less popular

i get that vinyl is part of a whole experience, and theres something more glamorous about it than cds, but if theyre only more popular because of vibes.... than that's just admitting theyre an inferior product isnt it? cds just arent as cool anymore. hipsters repopularized vinyl, but isnt it more hipster to do what the hipsters arent doing?

hiii! sometimes you can get lucky and theyre on youtube but even in 1080p youtube quality doesn't always look great. theres torrent sites like mypianku or avistaz but for avistaz you need an account and im not sure if they're accepting new people or not right now. i sometimes use mkvdrama but they don't always have the shows i'm looking for! my go to was a site called myserieshd but i dont think it exists anymore because i cant find it :( but they would usually upload them from ok.ru so you can check there too! hopefully this helps u a little bit but if its a specific show you're looking for i might be able to help you find a link for it so feel free to send another ask if you still can't find it 💞

Heya thank you so much for the art advice earlier! I was wondering if you had any specific suggestions for programs and/or brushes (you know specifically for someone whose only fine art experience has been in pencil and charcoal 😭) .

I’m currently using iArtbook because it’s free. I know Procreate is probably the most popular program but I’m literally -$300+ in my bank account right now, so that isn’t a current option 😅.

However I do believe you can upload brushes to the iArtBook app, honestly I’m not sure, I haven’t tried but you can edit the brushes in a very similar fashion to Adobe Photoshop. So I’m assuming you can also download and upload brushes. I actually really like this program because it has a similar feel to Adobe programs and as a Photographer I’m very experienced with Adobe (I have an Adobe Cloud Account).

In all honesty I’ve never been a good illustrator (since my main focus in my fine arts education was always photography) , but I find the activity meditative and I’m ALWAYS looking to improve.

I can only suggest what I know. I've never used Procreate, and I've never even heard of iArtbook. I'm also one of those that absolutely will torrent my art program of choice. And have.

A long, long time ago (like probably thirteen years), I got a copy of Corel (Coral? Idek anymore) free with the purchase of my Wacom bamboo tablet. I didn't know what I was doing yet and I hated it. My laptop hated it. It was very heavy and lagged big time.

I switch to Gimp, which is legally free and open source. I used Gimp for years with zero problems. You can import a lot of Photoshop brushes into Gimp without issue. Compared to Photoshop and Paint Studio, it's incredibly underpowered. Looking back at the art I made, however, I was not poorly off.

From Gimp, wanting more, I then switched to Photoshop CS5. It was incredibly easy to find and install. Personally, I say screw Adobe, since their current model is subscription based. I hate that. I used PS for yearsssssss, up until last year, I believe. It wasn't too heavy for my laptop to handle unless I used too big of a brush. It allowed me to expand my knowledge of digital art programs. It has way more to offer than I'll ever use. But as i mentioned before, the natural art brushes are ... okay, and the blending tool is awful. I learned to NOT ever use the blending tool because of PS.

Throughout time in my PS years, I switched from a Wacom Bamboo tablet to a Huion pen tablet (three different ones) to a Huion Kamvas 16 Pro tablet. With my family's help, I put money towards improving my art by way of hardware, and each tablet became significantly better. A good tablet will help TREMENDOUSLY, but by no means does anyone *need* to splurge on a screen tablet like the Kamvas series. I recommend Huion. It's hard to go wrong with them. In case that ever tickles your fancy.

Like, I'm pulling examples of art I've done with these programs and tablets, specifically unshaded pieces, to show that the software and hardware doesn't necessarily make the piece.

Now, I'm using Clip Studio Paint because it comes with so many native traditional brushes. Again, the company switched or threatened to switch to a subscription pay, so I have no qualms in resorting to circumventing their purchase page.

I will say, I think I love Clip Studio more than I ever did Photoshop. The brushes are just ... perfect.

Like this. This isn't pencil and paper! It's the pencil brush that comes with Clip Studio. It draws JUST like a pencil and I feel like I'm in my natural element when I get to use it.

If you do decide to use PS, or a program that is PS brush compatible, I'll have to find that set of brushes that works similarly to these.

These pictures both used one of the pencil brushes from that set in PS. The horse was painted with a watercolor wash brush; the human with a chalk brush. It's nowhere near as versatile as what can be used in Clip, though.

But I'm sure you could find many brushes through dA and gumroad to use until you find the one that works for you, too!

well friends, today i have purged my current media library and i am now restarting it with high quality rips. (!)

for my personal media library, im orienting it towards higher quality media. FLACs instead of MP3 files for music, MKV instead of MP4 files for media, generally because these formats are more lossless and in a way, its kind of an investment in the future. i dont really have the best tech currently because of certain life circumstances but Soon, yk?

for those of us that like going the legal route, ripping blu rays with a blu ray rewritable drive and makeMKV make it very simple to reproduce your library. right now, im currently making rips from discs that i find at the library and torrenting when i eventually get a p2p VPN service, collecting my torrents and creating a "download query." this paragraph is a joke btw.

of course, what they dont tell you when you start doing this is just the monetary investment that will eventually be required at some point down the line and this includes paying for software, ironically i dont actually want to get cracks for software that im using to create blu-ray rips but as far as i can tell, i cant figure a way to do that for free. with blu-rays atleast.

if there are any cool FOSS people reading, please lmk how you figured out how to break BD+ copy protection. this is what im currently stumped on.

this is just the beginning. ive got around 4tb (not pictured) to fill with all sorts of media for offline consumption, so far most of my media is in video games that i can play on emulators, of which i have 709gb currently dedicated to, with 688gb left to go. roughly 5000+ games, most of these being classic game ROMs but a few hundred consist of 'modern' titles as well.

i just generally dont like how "web-based" everything has become. i dont feel like any of my media is secure in the cloud, especially if i have to pay for access to it. we're seeing in real time what is happening to people that either sold their physical media for quick money or never felt the need to build up a collection at all, how now that streaming services are becoming exorbitant, they have very little they can actually consume now. this isn't to say consumption is everything but also, i feel salty about it too. these people hoped for something long lasting and cheap, meanwhile for myself when i finally got a job at 16 and was able to actually afford streaming services, i slowly started seeing all of them go to shit and not even be worth the price of admission.

its demoralizing when you consider that in order to engage in conversation with anyone these days, you have to watch the TV shows they watch and if you cant watch them for whatever reason, theres no reason people want to talk to you. people socialize around media and i think its because of that, piracy is absolutely justified.

because what else are you supposed to do to form human relationships anymore? in america atleast, we live in a culture of hyper consumption and if youre not in it, youre not part of the culture. i think the paradigm sucks currently.

i was also priced out of building a DVD/blu-ray collection for years, streaming services *were* the cheap alternative, but now that this is also gone, i cant help but resort to piracy or other means of keeping and holding on to media for a long period of time.

in my next blog, i will hopefully talk about an ubuntu+plex server setup i am currently figuring out. that blog won't be up until ive had it running on bare metal for a while

《《was falling asleep in a sleeping bag/tent and dad walked by to give me smth to fall asleep better. said it was his restless leg syndrome meds. called it torrent??. i had like 7 of them in my hand for some reason. he thought he dropped one on my pillow and tried looking for it. searched under my pillow too. i said i need water to take these. so i get up and cant fucking see a thing. start walking on a sandy path. hes nowhere to be found anymore (i only ever saw his hand). my sister randomly pops up in front of me and is now leading me on this path. i grab a stick and start putting perpendicular ditch marks into the path to tell me where ive been. sister comments, says she does the same thing. we eventually come up on a bend in the path (my vision is a little better i can see the sand and trees around me). i say wait a sec. i know where i am. i turn around and happen upon and old building. looks kinda like a tiny church/the building where you would rent these kayaks and paddle boats at a vacation spot i know well. suddenly the entire vacation spot appears and im standing on the beach i know very well. but the kayak shack is still a bathroom. i cant see anything inside but i know the toilet is there smwhere. i try turning on my flashlight on my phone. it turns on for a split sec and then never again. as i sit on this toilet i wonder to myself, i need to get to the shop/game center this place has for some internet bc its the only place with some stable wifi. and for some reason thats when i realise im dreaming. so i finish using the restroom and walk out (now holding a lot more stuff?? sunglasses, a blur which i can only identify as my hanquokka stuffie bc its blue and brown, a bag that usually holds my money, earplugs, and rocks and crystals, and smth else. as my sister and i make our way back to the tent i was sleeping in i say 'im dreaming' to her. shes like lol no you arent. and i say 'yes i am. youre wearing sunglasses in a pitch black area. i need to wake up. watch this' and all of a sudden the sandy path we are walking on is actually a dock and theres a large lake in front of us. i fucking leap off and she freaks out cuz why the fuck would i just jump into a lake in the middle of the night holding all this important shit?!. a flash scene happens and shes now standing over my dripping body, assumingly done resecitating me. i still know im dreaming. then that reality fades out and another fades in. im now in a supermarket like a target or ikea (never been in an ikea btw) and im being dragged around by what i can only assume are my parents in this reality as a cat (who i look at and just know is actually my sister) drags a cart behind her that has a large portrait of smone (a king george i think) in the cart. my parents (keanu reeves and jamie lee curtis with a fluffy auburn bob haircut) are fighting as they pull my arms to where they want me to go. im resisting bc i still know im dreaming. i start shaking my head violently. a ringing in my ears starts and i am now experiencing the dream world in 4d instead of my usual 3rd person pov. and i can feel my real head moving just a tad. i start shaking more violently and the dreamworld "moves farther away and gets smaller" (kinda like if you were watching a youtube video on your phone right up against your eyes and then moved it away to arms length)》》 i am now awake. groggy as fuck and hot and sweating. i open my eyes and check the time: 3:34 am. i turn on my phone. blinded by the bright light knowing i need to write this out for some reason.

so yeah it wasnt even all that terrifying of a nightmare it was just terrifying in the sense that i knew i was dreaming and couldnt wake up for the longest time. i lump it in with my nightmares because i didnt really have control over what was happening. (i can lucid dream 80% of the time. 19% of the time i have no dreams. that 1% are nightmares)
