Looking at Team Bolas fanart and am noticing the exclusion of q!Carre and that freakin sucks. :( He was good help to the team, especially in the first week when they were struggling. He handled PVP for the others when q!Phil was away. He got along with his teammates, played great, and is part of Bolas Rojas just as much as the others are. I really appreciate q!Cellbit speaking Spanish with him, since the others werent as fluent.

I am just going to put this at the top : this post is going to be a long vent about missing Technoblade, please scroll on if you do not wish to read.

We are coming up on two years without him.

We are also coming up on three years since I discovered his content.

I thought I was at the point I could watch one of his videos tonight, as I used to often do when I am doing tasks or writing he was always the background noise I used. I remember calling into work when he streamed for the sheer sake of enjoying them while they happened the few times I caught them before...well. I think you know. He was the reason my passion for writing came back to life and I believed I could actually follow my lifelong dream of eventually publishing a story.

But I suppose the part I always forget about grief is the absence of the unique spirit that person brought to your life. I found his content and engaged with it instantly, developing one of the longest running fixations I have had in a good while. The sheer excitement I'd have getting the notification he went live for one of his rare streams.

I don't think it truly sunk in when he announced his diagnosis. I remember discussing it with the irl friend who got me into watching him and both of us laughed, saying he's strong enough to fight off anything.

A few months pass with his rare posts and there was always this tiny little bit of intuition I had where he never told us what severity of cancer it was. Like he was a very private guy, yes, but this seemed extra...odd.

Then I remember the way my heart sunk when 'so long nerds' popped into my notification bar. The dashing of my heart against the floor texting people as I tearfully listened to Technodad tell us the words his son Alex wished for us to hear.

Its been a long two years. Its been great ones, tbh. I found a new passion with QSMP and Hermitcraft after the finishing of DSMP [tho c!Techno will forever remain close to my heart]. I kept writing, with over half a million words in published fics on ao3 and several WIP including 3 original novels.

But the only one I ever wanted to thank for helping me find my creativity again I can't, and I never will be able to.

I miss Technoblade.

I will never stop missing him.

I wish he could have laughed with his friends for many years yet, being silently proud of their accomplishments while he messed with people on the QSMP. I wish he could have had another MCC with friends.

I wish his unique soul wasn't taken from us so soon, as we weren't done following our hero yet.

But the only thing I can do now is continue to speak his tales. The first book I properly publish, the gratitude page is going to be addressed to him. I will continue to tell others about his accomplishments and tell them to go watch his content on his Youtube channel [get him to 17 million!]! Buy some of his merch [when it comes back in stock]! Support his family & friends!

Though he would call us nerds for crying, I think its beautiful how many lives he touched and how many thousands mourned his passing. He was a light all corners of the MCYT sphere and beyond saw and respected, and not too many creators can claim such an honour.

I'll always be a Voice at my core. Even if I spend my time these days as a crow, a huevito, a ferret, a tubling, a doozer and many more, my heart will forever belong to Technoblade.

Please keep creating art and writing in his name. I love scrolling the fanart tags and adore every piece I come across with my favourite piglin in them. Please, please, please keep saying his name. Sing his legends. Make references, continue the jokes, hang out in one of his friends chats and support the people he loved.

Support those who are still here, even if your heart hurts.

It's only painful because we all loved him so much, which is a beautiful type of sorrow.

BEGGING to hear about ur familoier au plssss

Okok so!! This is a Jaiden and Bobby centric au with some Roier (I mostly came up with this au because I was sad about Jaiden and Bobby and wanted them to be happy) it’s very slice of life fluffy modern au- just them being happy together :]] just know this is extremely self indulgent because I want them to be happy and if feels ooc or something no it doesn’t :]

Bobby often goes to the park with his family!! He likes to brings his fake sword and swing it at anything and everything he sees. he also likes to pick the many flowers around the park to make flower crowns!! It’s rare for a friend (or parent) of Bobby’s to not have at least one of his flower crowns (and his parents often have at least one flower of his on them all the time)

Bobby also loves to paint with his family!! He will draw on canvas, walls, his own skin, whatever, so he often has doodles up and down his arms. The family will often put aside time in the day for them to paint together (at Bobby’s request) and it’s often his highlight of the day :D he likes to copy Jaiden’s arm tattoos with his drawings on his arms (though he won’t admit it to her) and he often draws his family or his friends!!

Bobby also has two dogs- a big brown newfoundland named Oso and his husky named Tripita (he’s also named the two raccoons outside and sometimes tries to take them inside but they always escape)

Jaiden is a freelance artist who works on commission who is roommates with Roier. She is learning Spanish for both Roier and Bobby (who is bilingual) and they both encourage and help her while she’s learning! She went to law school for a bit when she was younger- but ended up dropping out.

all the eggs go to the same school and are all in the same class (for the older eggs) and the younger eggs (when they come into the story) often hang out with them at lunch and such :D Roier also babysits Tilin on the weekends so they and Bobby are pretty good friends (though they sometimes joke at being rivals) and Dapper sometimes comes over for sleepovers!

All the eggs are kind of close which means that their parents also all know each other because of their kids- it’s how some of them get to know each other at first but a fair few knew each other beforehand!

Misc thingys:

-the city is name quesadilla city

-jaiden once spent a day going from store to store to find the specific brand of french fries that she and Bobby likes lmao

-Jaiden often shows Bobby the basics of her job/s because of his interest in art

-Bobby is in awe of Juannaflippa because of her nerf gun

-all of the eggs are around 8-10 in this au I think but I’m still figuring out ages

-the au is called a garden of missed promises

-jaiden dyes her hair and convinces Roier to get a streak (she wanted him to get blue but they settled on red) and Bobby begged enough that they got him a blue underside of his hair

-they love to go biking together around the city

-the federation is kinda just the government for now,, they’re not nearly as bad as the canon federation and mostly are just in the background

-when they save up enough money they sometimes go out to a cottage on the countryside and hang around there

-Bobby and Tilin originally met when they had a fight at school that turned into their Roier and Q fighting over who has the best kid (they mostly made up though)

also it’s a sort of fantasy modern au only in that they are still hybrids instead of all being human- Jaiden is a parrot hybrid, Roier is a spider hybrid, Bobby is a dragon hybrid, pretty standard (not all the eggs are dragon hybrids though)

it’s VERY early qsmp based if you couldn’t tell already though I do want to add some of the other language creators (especially cellbit for spiderbit) but I’m still working on figuring out how they would work in this au! also Pepito and Empanada are going to be confusing to fit into this au- I don’t want to not include them but idk,, if y’all have any ideas they would be greatly appreciated

ALWAYS! Fair warning though lots of my headcanons are closer to explanations for canon or filling in the gaps though ^_^

Charlie's final form of corrupted code skin (that we could see before the qsmp end) had some code on the slimecicle on his head, which I personally interpret as his chat! A little sentient slime with emotions that mirror his, and he takes it down from his head to hold whenever he talks to chat during a stream. He also (canonically!) had the code infection spread to his arms first through falling asleep holding codeflippa every night, so I think the infection spread to chat on his head since he kept holding it in his code-covered hands.

I also give him bomb scars from his original egg murder spree attempt, but when the code started taking over, they started getting corrupted with him! He also wears earings at all times lmao. Typically small black studs, but for fancy outfits he'll switch to gold studs, or if he's wearing a dress! Something more dangly and fun.

I've also talked about flippa being incredibly autism coded, and how I always picture/draw her with scuffed up skirts and dirt on her bright red gloves + boots she stole mariana, plus sooo many bandages and scars on her legs from scratches when playing around in the woods and messing with bugs (! Like how codeflippa really loved the cockroaches they captured for her task). I see all the crouching and running whenever she's excited as stimming, and turn it into her dragon tail wagging or her hands flapping really fast. I also gave her a matching broken horn with sunny, flippa's is on her left and sunny's is on her right, and when codeflippa showed up!, code "mended" the horn and there's visible glitching and code leaking from it. You can also typically see an underlying neon green glow coming from under any of the scales on her tail or cheeks, and the code will leak from those places too.

^ I go into all of this more in-depth in an unpublished fic I'll occasionally vauge about called "the breadcrumbs fic". I've been meaning to finish working on it for a WHILE, so maybe I throw on a vod in the background really quick and get to work :-) (also in that fic is an explanation on the buttons and patches on charlie's backpack he carries everywhere! they were made by flippa and tilin in my wonderful autism mind and he holds onto them with soooo much love. the paint also started chipping away at one point since they were hand-made so long ago, but he ignores it and pretends they're totally fine by painting over it. something something parallels to how he treats the code infection and codeflippa)

(Plus any drawings of the two of them I could find that I think show off their design well under the cut !)

Sorry for all of then being traditional, my art completely evolved from traditional doodles during class since I drew these two almost daily. Not the proudest of all of them, but they show off the designs I want well enough ^_^

Yee sorry got a new job and cant really find time to do art worth posting here. (Its silly sketches and comms And people following me here expect fanart)

For the lore mghmmm I cant really tell much more from the server, don't play there often. I mean I made an egg costume and was running around in it a lot pretending to be qsmp egg. Fun time. Mostly I visit it for our events like secret santa or new minigame that was built in the game district. Bunker game was really fun. It's based on board game with the same name.

Got back to my first base to finally finish it! I guess you can make up lore from that-

Like weather in snowy Tinkerwing village got so bad that people from there had to move in the big tree in the warmer area. Ooohhh abnormal weather.

Hilda DOES have her own lore tho that's different from whatever happens when I'm playing and she's completely new character from me.

She's more of background character in that story tho

In story she was childhood friends with ghast gal, but they were separated when Hilda went through the nether portal and couldn't go back. Ghast got mad at her thinking she was abandoned, got super buff, speedrunned minecraft (not a joke, she went to the End and got op loot there) finally found Hilda and get in the cool anime battle with her.

While after Hilda appeared in the Overworld she was found by Noelle (brown cow) before turning into zombie piglin Was cured in the village and started observing new culture for her helping to fight the Big Bad Rich in a face of Adele (phantom gal) and her right hand arm. man. her everything. Her confidence, best friend. Her silly rabbit.. Piper (silverfish in yellow glasses) in the process. And yeah fighting her bff after

I might try making separate blog for oc's But I'm just not that kind of person to talk about my oc's a lot. I'm not that good of story writer or story teller. Most of my oc's don't have lore rather just concept of it.

The method i found of how I found how much i got was using the archive numbers first, and then the grouping taggings so stuff like #qsmp ensemble and #Deities and put it seperately in which got included in and didn't (so i went into deities and if i saw rubius was in it then i added a number in it)

A bit of a ramble around my current state of mind. Nothing negative, but I know not everyone wants to read a long post of my thought processes so I'm gonna stick it under a read more.

I've been here before. Admittedly this time I kind of speed ran the experience because I joined the fandom so late, but still. I've been here before where a fandom experienced a series of tough times followed by fundamental change, and it caused a lot of people to move on.

I am not convinced this is the end for the qsmp. There are still ways for them to continue. But for a lot of original fans, this may be the point where they drop out and move on. So things will change, a lot. And change is scary and upsetting.

For all those who are struggling with the current state of things, particularly those for whom qsmp has been a hyperfixation, it's going to be ok! I'm not going to tell you not to grieve for what has been lost, or for what might have been. I just want you to remember at the same time that it is going to be ok in the end. You will live and you will grow, and all the things you've experienced in this fandom will help nurture the things you go on to do next. You will find that you do not have to let go of everything, and there will still be things coming in the future that ignite the same fire in you as this did. So hold onto the things you have gained, and let yourself be sad for the things you have lost, and through all that keep moving forwards.

Personally, I will probably continue to track what's going on with qsmp, but what originally brought me here was my intention to start following Philza, and that intention has not changed. I was looking for a good comfort streamer to help ground me during the more difficult mental health moments and for something I could have on as background noise while I wrote, and Philza's hardcore streams are perfect for that. The qsmp was just a bonus for me. But I will still try to keep in touch with people here. I love the big multicultural community, and the people I've talked to directly are great, and I truly hope we can be friends going forwards. And so long as there continues to be art and fanfic I will probably still indulge in it and reblog it.

Heyo, so, i dont recognize most of the books in your book recs post so i dont actually know if style-wise this would fit your taste in books, but i know youre a fan of linguistics from some of your qsmp meta posts and the few books i recognized are fiction, so with that in mind id love to reccomend you Babel Or The Necessity of Violence by RF Kuang.

Its a historical fiction book with a soft magic system based on linguistics, the art of translation, and what gets culturally lost when you translate something. It also deals with some complicated issues like when is it worth taking direct action against an opressing force, especially in the context of colonialism.

The novel takes place in britain right after the end of slavery in the mainland, and follows Robin, a chinese boy that gets adopted by an english linguistics professor and taken to England in order to be educated and brought up with the sole purpose of growing up to be a chinese to english translator. And besides the first few chapters that follows robin as a kid dealing with the change in culture and such, the novel mostly takes place while he is at the university of oxford studying to become a translator in the renowed tower of babel and research silver and the magic system in place. While there Robin finds the towers conections with the colonial system, the inherent and non-magical power of language, and if its really worth it assimilation to a metropolis' culture at the expense of your own.

There are characters from very diverse backgrounds and with very interesting backstories and ideologies, and the authors writing style is delightfull and full of flavour. Its also very cool to read robin talking about cantonese and mandarin, and its all very accurate because the author is chinese yknow.

If this sounds interesting to you at all i highly reccomend you check the book out!!! Like i really really do!!! Its my all time favourite book and ive been trying to get people to know about it for ages lmao but like, its just really good and interesting, it takes a few chapters to get the hang of it but once robin gets to school everything just works yknow, and its very interesting bc as i read it i was like dang i also wouldnt know what to chose in his place, but also like, i became just accutelly aware of how much influence our former colonization had on my country, and its kinda still very fucked up, and i started to appreciate even more our traditions and customs

Idk im rambling at this point, i hope its not too annoying for you to read lol

Anyways yeah, thats my recomendation, plz read babel if you think it would be your thing, absolutelly no pressure to tho, i can see how its not for everyone

awwwwwwwwwww, this was so sweet!!! i actually have read babel!! i loved it, it was great to see how the importance of language is incorporated into the book and the reflects of it on colonization. and it resonated a lot with me, because by the end of college my final thesis was on the english language as a method of colonization around the world (but especially in latam) <3
