I love your art style, especially how energetic it is! How did your art style get such dynamic lines? Do you have any tips/advice/ideas on how to do that?
Thank you!
Um... I'm not sure how to go about it, but I’ll try and give some tips on line confidence.
I think my main advice would be to not let your sketch box you in- keeping it at a really low opacity so that your eyes don’t get used to seeing it with your line art when you draw over it (having your sketch opacity too high can give a different impression of your line work), leaving room to exaggerate or play around with fresh lines in the next phase.. It’s easier to do when you’re confident in your subject, so the sketch should be stable enough to convey that, but have fun with the process otherwise! For me, good line art comes out when I’m actively finding ways to build off the sketch’s energy while lining it, not when I’m trying to limit myself to it/already 100% happy with what it provides.
Here's a bit of a visualization! When going from the sketch to the line art, I was thinking that I could improve the flow of the cape, so I made the upper part less flat and balanced its curve with the bottom to keep the energy flowing. The slope of Kalim's pose could balance the curve of Jamil's sarouel, so I leaned into that when putting down the lines for Kalim's. Meanwhile having some areas be more linear helps give contrast. Line of action, straights against curves, etc. (I think this is delving more into gestural talk now)
I'd recommend studying artists whose linework you enjoy too! Kaisen_Tobiuo was-and still is- a big inspiration of mine growing up for how expressive their works and line art felt. Also study naruto fanartists they're cracked
It ended up being a bit of a ramble, but I hope this could help op!

I'm going to sound like a loser for a minute here but I am a tad bit disappointed every time I click on a video about commonplace notebook organization and then they proceed to show that they use it as a daily planner and/or to write down some thoughts on different topics. That is not commonplacing that's just journaling . what you are doing is keeping a journal

We're both absolutely zonked after this weekend. I have some thoughts on it that I'll have to write up later but it was very good for me to see a completely different group of dog trainers with completely different training methods than my usual training group. I do fully plan to integrate things between the two because both do things I like and both do things I don't but I'm pleased to see that I actually do not intend to change how I started Tassie when it comes to next puppy but I also do intend to go into more than what my normal group will allow.
For her, the first day was kind of a wash because this group trains so different than I do, so Tassie didn't understand the rules of the game and the instructor here didn't allow me to help her on day one so it wasn't entirely fair to her. He did change his opinion on her entirely between the two days, once I was allowed to work my dog the way I work my dog. We went from "she doesn't have it" to "okay she actually has a lot we just need to do foundational work with her". But we did a TON of work with social pressure on day two and actually put some stress on her and I think he was very surprised that my socially anxious dog that refused to engage with him for an entire day was willing to work through a ton of pressure just because I asked, including him actually getting on her other side during a sit and leaning on her so strong I was almost falling over. And through that she was still watching me and taking food and doing her absolute best to pretend he didn't exist which is exactly what I wanted. I think if I do another seminar with him after going back to some foundational work she's going to really surprise him.

Today's worldbuilding agonies: not wanting to ever specify how much time is passing because how the hell am I supposed to configure time-keeping across multiple planets and moons across the solar system
But then at a certain point wanting there to be a difinitive countdown clock before Something Bad happens to add tension and stakes
