richie sees eddie sitting outside at a cafe doing work and they make eye contact and richie grins and immediately proceeds to trip on the curb and spill his coffee and go flying and eddie runs to help him trying not to laugh

they always happen to run into each other when changing trains/take the same train and always end up in the same car

they’re both temps/interns for the same dept and eddie shows richie the ropes

they work in the same area and always end up going to the same spot for lunch bc it’s the only quick place that accommodates eddie’s dietary restrictions and richie’s autistic so he just eats the same lunch 5 times a week

recently divorced eddie goes to the cafe/bar in the city that’s popular for hosting queer events for ppl older than 30 and richie hosts weekly trivia there

Why does my special interest have to be media? Why couldn't I have gotten the math autism instead of the 'I know every single fact about these specific twenty shows, books, and fandoms and can't stop thinking about it so I neglect my responsibilities to write 300k-word fanfictions and annoy people with how much I talk about it' autism?

richie getting diagnosed with ADHD (or hyperkinetic disorder or ADD or whatever you get the point) as a child but since doctors are... doctors... no one really ever explains it to him and he spends his entire childhood thinking he has the "loud annoying disorder" instead of actually understanding what ADHD is and why it makes him feel/act the way he does...

richie thinking ADHD is something you grow out of and as a result of that + losing his memories of having friends he was comfortable unmasking around, beginning to mask heavily as an adult to fit in with his peers... only showing his ADHD traits in small, palatable pieces for the sake of a self deprecating joke....

richie always feeling like theres something crawling under his skin and letting out the energy in harmful ways because the alternative is any number of heavily stigmatized behaviours he's only seen in gags on TV and he's already dragging under the weight of what people will think of him if they find out he's gay, he doesn't need anything else for them to pick at

richie forcing eye contact until he feels like his insides are going to become his outsides, richie in the beginning going out to open mics every night to try to make it even though he feels like he's going to melt out of his skin if he has to mask for another minute. richie's throat blocking up when he's anxious and him losing the ability to say anything other than canned jokes he's been doing since he was 13.

richie getting mike's call and experiencing a sudden and intense skill regression as a result of his returning memories, suddenly finding himself completely unable to deal with things he "dealt with" (not really) before, richie finding he can't bring himself to look his friends in the eye even though he's been forcing eye contact for years, richie bouncing his knee so hard he shakes the table, richie finding himself unable to get out of bed after the jade because he's so drained socially (+ the other stuff lol), richie stimming vocally while they're looking for the clubhouse and freaking out over it and looking at all his friends for their reaction.

he doesn't know why he's acting this way, why he suddenly can't just suck it up and deal with it like he's been doing for nearly 3 decades, and he's already freaked out enough as is with the clown, and he wants the losers to like him as an adult so bad, why is he being weird, and he's so overwhelmed by everything and he has absolutely no means of dealing with it because he's been pushing everything down for his entire life and can't even name what he's feeling.

post it 2 richie going to therapy to try and deal with the clown trauma and coming out of it with a new understanding of what ADHD is... post it 2 richie learning to be easy on himself when he's overwhelmed. richie unlearning all of the stigma thats followed him his entire life and learning to be okay with himself...

oh btw eddie is also in therapy and his therapist suggests he get screened for ADHD. to no ones surprise he does in fact have ADHD. despite richie having been diagnosed with ADHD decades ago it is very much a simultaneous learning process for them. they're like reading articles about ADHD on the computer together like "hrmmm... OH that makes so much sense" they find out about common experiences for people with ADHD and text the other like "lol this you?"

It's been quite a while since my last message on this blog (and fandom), but I think I might finally have the inspiration to write again, after my previous aborted attempts.

The core of this fanfic will be "what if Pennywise was just a regular serial killer and the Losers actually killed him to defend themselves when they were teenagers?", and the repercussions of that action into their adulthood.

It will take place 27 years later, on the anniversary of Pennywise's death, and the Losers, who kinda drifted away from each other, will reunite again, after Richie's attempt (and failure) to perform a whole skit about their childhood trauma.

So, it's all about "how those dysfunctional grown-ups cope with the fact that they actually killed someone, and how it impacts each of them".

I'm going to take the time to think about it all a bit more, before writing it, so that I won't get stuck on the first few chapters.

Stozier headcanons! (Mostly based off the book and miniseries)

Stan is autistic and his special interest is birds

Richie has ADHD and gets a new hyper fixation all the time, though his longest one is impressions and ventriloquism

Richie and Stan will bird watch together. It started out with Richie spoting Stan sitting alone by a bird fountain and decided to sit with him. Now they sit together about once a week

Most people find Richie rude and annoying but Stan doesn't(well occasionally he's annoying), he understands that Richie doesn't mean how he comes off

Richie will find the dumbest ways to get Stans attention

Despite the fact Richie seems to take nothing seriously he's pretty emotionally intelligent when it comes to Stan. He's the only one who can calm him down fully. Richie will sit with Stan, arm around his shoulder, and ask him to talk about birds until he's OK again

Stan has a pretty unique sense of humour that noone else really gets but Richie will always laugh even though he has no idea what the joke was about

Stan will help Richie practice his impressions/ventriloquism. They will spend hours coming up with ideas to make it better. Stan still obviously teases him though

They like to dance together, sometimes when Stans parents are out they'll take advantage of the houses large kitchen and use it as a dance floor. Richie is surprisingly good at slow dancing

Richie basically ERROR 404s whenever stan holds his hand/kisses him, Stan finds this both hilarious and cute

Sometimes they'll go to the club house by themselves just to be alone with no fear of judgement. Its where they had their first kiss

Richie thinks Stan is the most beautiful person ever (if ben has Bev then I gess Stans my Bev)

Stan loves to run his fingers in Richies hair or gently stroke his back

Stan can't not smile when thinking about Richie, his mum has questioned him about this but he couldn't tell her. Everyone picks up on this because Stan almost never smiles

Stan and Richie have stupid nicknames for eachother. Richies is "dick"(for obvious reasons) and Stans is "bird" which is always said in an Irish accent

They are way more cheesy in private. Stan calls Richie love and it makes his heart melt every time

They read comics together. More specifically Richie reads them in an assortment of voices while Stan rests his head on Richies chest listening and looking at the images

Richie put a ton of time into picking his outfit for Stans bar mitzva, wanting everything to be just right, he never told Stan

They move out of derry together and live happily ever after with no mental issues or homophobic extraterrestrial clowns and get married when it becomes legal the end😊
