Why don’t you want five in school?
Oh, I've ranted about it before in the tags of THIS POST but in general it makes me wildly uncomfortable. As an adult, the thought of hypothetically being forced back to high school is the fucking pits, you could not pay me enough to do it - and I even had a good time in high school! Five is almost 60 years old and they're going to force him to go to classes and hang out with teens? That feels bad from every angle! It forces Five to act in a way he'd only do under great duress and fucks his agency and autonomy as an adult so badly. There are better, more interesting ways to play with the consequences of his physical vs actual age than sending him to goddamn high school. There's other, less dominating options for the "he looks like a kid and never actually graduated" problem.
You do you if that's your jam, don't let a random dude on the internet yuck your yum, but Five in high school is a squick for me.

"You have to shoot them in the head, or they always come back."
Ethan Landry x f!reader (not specified I think tho)
summary You knew you had to do this, he was a killer. You had to end this when you had the chance. But standing here with a gun to your boyfriend's head - no matter what he's done - you couldn't bring yourself to do it.
word count 1,200
warnings swearing, talk of killing someone, spoilers for scream 6, VERY immoral & unrealistic but it's fanfiction soo
a/n I'm not that happy with this so it's kinda a WIP. But just… posted. If this does get some notes; thank you for reading! I promise my other stuff is better.

You had thought out all kinds of possible outcomes to the plan of waiting out Ghostface at the shrine of the two students (whose names you'd already forgotten). However, not once had you considered having to execute your boyfriend.
Beneath you lay Ethan, blood pooling from his mouth and brown puppy eyes watery and bloodshot.
Sam and Tara were fighting the only other remaining person behind the recent murders, Detective Bailey.
It had all happened too fast; Sam hit Ethan in the head with a brick before she and Tara tried making an escape through the emergency exit. In the chaos of the past moments you'd simply stood to the side, shocked that the boy you loved and had spent your past months with was the one behind the mask.
A whimper of your name pulls you out of your thoughts and your eyes clear, focusing on the curly haired boy beneath you.
There were tears running down his cheeks, chin quivering and gaze pleading, "Please… don't do this."
You shake your head to try and keep the empathy from overpowering your rationality. "Ethan, I have to…You have to shoot them in the head, or they always come back," you recall with a shaking voice.
You didn't want to do this. You wanted to go home and cuddle with your boyfriend who wasn't a killer. He shakes his head and winces, weakly clutching a hand to your pants. Your knees are shaky so you end up sinking to kneel next to his heaving chest, his hand falling to your thigh instead.
The gun in your hand is still aimed in his direction, safety off.
"Come on, baby, please," he begs, trying to look into your eyes but you avoid his gaze and look to the blood stained floor. "Ethan, you killed people I can't-," a sob leaves your mouth and you clutch your free hand over it to stop your crying.
He sobs as well and shakes his head as well as he can, "No, no, no..! I didn't want to. I didn't wanna do this. Believe me!" He cries and your heart breaks a little more. Just from the way Bailey talked earlier and totally dismissed Ethan you had a good guess at their relationship and how much Ethan had wanted to do what he's done.
You purse your lips and sniff, looking back at him. "Explain. Why did you do it then?" He breathes raggedly but he'd be able to survive - if you let him. He swallows and tries calming his breathing, hand still on your thigh.
"He- Dad made me. I just wanted him to be proud of me. Like he was always proud of… Richie," he admits, the name of his deceased brother a painful whisper. You pull your eyebrows together in confusion and wait for him to continue. His face is scrunched up - whether from the physical pain he was feeling or from the memories he was recounting.
"He told me if I wanted to be as good as Richie I had to do what he said. Follow the plan." He slowly looks at you again, pausing for a few seconds. He reaches out with his blood coated hand and clings to yours, fingers closing around your pinky and ring finger.
He felt relief and a sliver of hope fill his chest when you let him hold your hand, his thumb resting on the promise ring on your ring finger he had gotten you not too long ago.
He averts his eyes again and continues explaining, though his voice seems to get weaker by the minute. "I did everything but… killing. Quinn did that. We would switch after I chased them somewhere she could.. finish it." He winces again.
"I didn't kill anyone except Anika. And that was an accident. I didn't want to make her fall, I just wanted her to struggle! I didn't want to kill her, you have to believe me! I didn't want to," he whimpers and tears start running down his cheeks again.
You sigh and let your head fall, chin touching your chest. He deserved to pass away here, with the rest of his family.
But you love him. And no matter how many times you recall him and what he did while wearing the mask you can't bring yourself to pull the trigger.
You put the safety back on the gun and push it far enough away from you. "I should kill you," you remind him with a quiet voice. He nods and fully turns his head to look at you. He calls your name but you don't want to look up; you know you would fold at the sight of his brown eyes.
He says your name again, almost pleading now. It makes your heart ache so you look up and into his eyes. He grunts painfully as he scoots back and sits up against a display case, when he's sat up straight he reaches out and puts his hand on your cheek. His palm is cold and shaky, blood making his grip slippery.
"I love you. You made me feel like I could-" he chokes and coughs, spitting some blood to the side before he keeps talking, "-like I could be enough by just… being myself. I fell for you. So hard."
You're looking into each other's eyes when he finishes his confession, "I can't live without you. I don't want to. So please tell me you won't leave me after this."
You grimace. He may have done way less than all of you originally thought but he still ended the life of Mindy's girlfriend and one of your closest friends. You knew he felt guilty. You could see the regret and pain from knowing he had caused her fall.
But none of that cancels out that he did it.
"I love you. And… maybe I can forgive you someday. But, Ethan… Even if the others also forgive you, Mindy never will. And she has every right not to."
He nods and you both pretend not to have heard his slight whimper at your first sentence. "I need you to forgive me. I can't keep going without you…" he says again and your chest throbs. You're torn between what you want and what you should want and do.
Noone in their right mind would forgive him or even let him live. But you were in love and too empathetic for your own good. Sighing defeatedly you lean into his palm and look into his eyes, "You have one chance to make it up to me. To everyone. If they accept you is up to them, not me."
He sighs out in relief, another tear escaping him as he mumbles 'thank you's under his breath.

Can i request for general yandere hcs for the baltic trio (seperate)?
Ravis is first, the other two Baltics will follow in due time.
Yandere Charater Sheet I
1p! Latvia: Raivis Galante
Characters adjusted to the reader's age. Here I am, wondering how I managed to turn Latvia into a complete nutcase.
Tumblr media
Trigger warnings: Kidnapping, stalking, inappropriate touching, theft, voyeurism, restraining, subduing, human experimentation, murder
Attributes - What sort of Yandere is he/she?
Tumblr media
Raivis, is for all intents and purposes, shameless when it comes to the activities surrounding his pursuit and "relationship" with you. The notion of stalking you, stealing little "trophies" from you, taking pictures of you while in public or in private - he doesn't feel a sliver of guilt. The factors preventing him from being completely insolent around you is that if other people caught on to his behaviour, then they would do their best to stop him. Furthermore, he wants you running towards him and throwing yourself in his arms, not running away from him. If anything, he hates it when his actions have negative consequences, even if he technically did nothing wrong.
On the flip side, he is desperate to have you, and that is something that curtails his behaviour. Latvia so dearly wants to impress you, to have you in awe of his skills. Everytime you enter the room or his vicinity, he perks up like a puppy that wants to play. In a way, he even acts the part - when he does get the chance to be with you, he is enthusiastic, stumbling over his words and gesturing a bit too wildly with his hands. He'll become your shadow for the evening, or just the day, opening doors for you or pulling out your chair. He'll use these small chores as excuses to get very close to you - hands lingering a bit too long when he takes your jacket, his nose almost in your hair when he stands behind you in the bus.
Added on is that he has been withdrawn for so long, and with his exuberance in approaching you, that he doesn't know how to handle the situation correctly. He is awkward in many ways, even more so during your time together. However, he is somewhat conscious of it and will make it clear that the things he does wrong are not due to malicious intent and are genuine mistakes. This way, he hopes to encourage you to dismiss his yandere tendencies.
Because he is self-conscious and aware enough to know that what he is doing isn't right, that a healthy relationship doesn't consist of him dogging your every step, or interrogating every person you spend more than five minutes with. However, if there aren't any negative consequences then he can't bring himself to care. He just wants somebody to dote on him and in turn to be cherished by him. Surely there is nothing wrong about that, even if it means infringing on your personal freedoms? Besides, rights are only as strong as those willing to enforce them, and if nobody comes to your rescue, then surely there is no problem.
Immaturity is another mark of him, but not in the way you would expect. It manifests in that he strives to ignore problems as much as possible, i.e. if there are negative consequences to his actions that can be ignored, he'll readily sweep them under the rug. Likewise, if he can shove responsibility of some atrocity onto somebody else, it will be done without a second thought. In his mind, the reason you don't accept him is that others filled your head with fluff. He is not at fault that you find him reprehensible, oh no sir.
Cornering - How would they get you?
Tumblr media
This is where he can be spectacularly impulsive. Mayhaps he is fretting over how to approach you, how to win over your heart, when he spontaneously decides to throw it all in the wind and nab you. It could be during a field trip - the two of you out on a lake on a sailing boat, just having finished lunch. You're just lying on deck, sated and sleepy. Would this just be the perfect time to tie you up, dock and then squirrel you away to his house?
Or he offers you a ride home from an event that you both are attending, and decides to take you to his house. If you protest when he pulls into the garage, he'll feign being a cheesy romantic and that he understood his place when you told him to drive you home.
The matter is, Raivis is very intelligent, but he still sucks when it comes to planning a complex sequence of events, especially when some of the variables are unknown. Chess is foreseeable since it is a lot about developed tactics and countertactics, where the properties of all pieces are known and everything is visible. Real life is not so accommodating and thus he struggles. Thus, he has a vague idea as to how to win your heart, but as to how the chips should fall so that he gets his happily ever after, he is clueless.
So he decides to just go for the kill. Part of this is also to blame on the fact that his idea of romance comes from tragic romance books, where the love interest slips through the fingers of the protagonist due to lack of action.
You wind up in his humble abode, and he has no idea what to do with you. Installing child safety everywhere seems like a good first step. If you don't watch out, you might wind up tied to a bed. All in all, how well you are treated depends on how well you take the sudden change in your living situation. Should you accept it with grace, then you'll be able to trick yourself into thinking it is a normal relationship, with one eye closed that is. Should you might back, tranquillisers and chains it is.
Expectations - What do they expect of you?
Tumblr media
He wants you to me feminine. Not girly, don't be mistaken, rather imbued with grace and kindness. Lavia wants somebody tender to spend his time with after enduring the stresses of the day. A bit like those old aristocratic ladies, with impeccable manners, a good sense of fashion and a stern demeanour. Though, please don't look down on him.
That is partially where the desire for a more down to earth persona comes in. Somebody that doesn't hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get to work, no matter how long the hours and tough the task is. Somebody with whom he can build a home. A partner with a matronly side here is ideal, that isn't too stuck up to laugh and enjoy life, nor withers away when the going gets tough.
It is then up to you to stick a balance here. Ravis is very much a dreamer, and can often get carried away with them. On top of that, he often tries to superimpose his dreams on reality and then becomes either upset or anxious when they don't match. Here, you'll have to be good with words, good at dragging him out of his slump while not encouraging his daydreaming tendencies to an unhealthy extent. Additionally, have good communication skills. He is so afraid of you leaving him, but doesn't see how the fault for that could rest on his shoulders, instead it would be all your doing. In the long-term, you'll have to learn how to communicate with him without setting him off.
Also, rely on him. Let him feel smart and strong, worthy of your time. If you don't, then it isn't him that is wrong, but you. You are the evil being trying to undermine his self-esteem and make him doubt himself. How can you reject all his hard work, you ungrateful ignat? Here you would be dealing with a volatile young man. Be careful what you say to him or else you'll put yourself in danger. Be grateful for his affections and attention, even if it should come in the form of a severed head in a cardboard box on your doorstep.
On top of that, you'll have to have a lot of metal resilience. Look, he isn't the sort that doesn't know how to comfort people, or bring somebody down from an anxiety attack, but he doesn't expect to have to carry you through life because you can't function in day-to-day life. And if you are catatonic? Then you'll find yourself without company, not even his. He wouldn't provide the most psychologically healthy environment to begin with, and it not something he'll ever fully, consciously acknowledge. In that way, you'll have to put up with his daily antics without tearing your hair out.
Intelligence is also important to him. Mind you, you don't have to be a complete genius - that would just intimidate him and the leash he'd have on you would become even shorter. What he desires, is somebody that can understand him, especially when he starts rambling about his interests and hobbies. And understands not to fidget too much when the chains are brought out.
Faded - Would they let go of you in any way?
Tumblr media
If you would become catatonic, then he would toss you aside without a second thought. Being a walking corpse, you just wouldn't be the person whom he became obsessed with. Since you wouldn't have any value to him as an empty doll, he would get rid of you fast. Murder wouldn't be an option, not for old times sake at least, so he would just drop you off at the side of the road and call it a day. He would be a bit worried about you, but would ultimately decide that he would do you no good by fretting over you. With you out of sight and having no more importance to him, he'll manage to move on.
The other way would be if you are much more powerful than him in your own right, or if you have somebody protecting you from him. Even if it is just Poland that is your partner, he would hesitate to make you his. So it might just as well be that he'll be restricted to pinning for you from afar. Over time, he could just as well fall for somebody else, or force himself to not think. With enough distraction and enough time, the memory of you will fade.
Punishment - How would they proceed if you do something they disapprove of?
Tumblr media
Oh, this can be scary. You see, this young man doesn't really know when to stop and often goes too far due to his skewed perception of reality. Don't worry though, he isn't for public humiliation, usually. What can he do if unsavoury rumours about you suddenly start circulating. Bad things happen, and sometimes people get bored and make stuff up to pass the time. It isn't his fault in any way. If it pushes you closer to him, then he won't complain.
Other than that, he would want to illustrate to you how generous and gracious he is being with you. How about going a few days without heating. How about without food? No clothing? No water? No electricity? It would be like a science experiment to him where he can play around with the parameters to produce different outcomes. Ravis isn't above writing a report about it and then presenting his findings to you, also thanking you for your "willing participation".
Another way he would punish you would be by granting your wish to stop interfering with your life. He’d let you run the show, cook and clean and read whatever, whenever you want. But he would be there the whole time, eyes tracing your every movement, listening to your every word. He would never interfere, just watch the whole time. With him having all the keys, you wouldn’t even have privacy while sitting on the toilet - he would just be standing there, watching you. This would also be one of those scenarios where he wouldn’t say anything for days. Ravis would do his best to not outwardly react to anything you say or do, and only end the whole affair when he deems you ready. This could be after a few hours, or after a month or two.
There is also a game plan if you resort to violent action - breaking bones. If he shatters the bones in your fingers, then you'll be dependent on him for and during your recovery. Also, you won't be able to attack or escape. Actions have consequences, and this would be the consequence of you being mean and hurtful to him. Surely that will teach you a lesson. On top of that, your hands will never be the same again. Future attacks will have no chance of being smooth and lightning quick.
Reaction - How would they react to you escaping?
Tumblr media
This would be where he'd get very impulsive. You see, you are like an opiod that soothes and dulls the pain. Having you suddenly disappear into thin air would be a shock in more ways than one. Latvia would become frantic, running all around your shared living space, ripping open closets and peeking behind wardrobes, because surely you are just hiding from him, right? Right?
There is a chance that he'll be the one to catch, not eating or sleeping until he has you back in his grasp. Should you meet him in this state, don't expect him to be reasonable or merciful - he'll be too frenzied for either of those. Best come along quietly and don't draw it out for longer than need be. That would just make him more irate and prone to injuring you and bystanders.
It could just as well be that you aren't captured by him, but by agents or mercenaries employed by the Latvian government. They might not have a lot of power or influence, but they still need a functioning nation. The best way to ensure that is to drag you back to captivity.
Turnabout - Scenario: You have the upper hand? What would be different from their usual MO?
Tumblr media
This would only work if you can convince him that you are acting in his best interests. Maybe he is a patient and you have to play nurse for him, taking his health in your hands and handling it expertly. Maybe you earn more than he does, and thus make the big purchases, like buying a house, a car and whatnot. Then he can be relatively at ease with the whole dynamic. Control ultimately rests with him though, and at the end of the day, you have to accept him in your life.
When that isn't the case, that is when matters turn ugly. Due to nearly always being under foreign control means that Ravis has garnered a lot of negative experiences of what happens when he gives up control. He reacts allergic to situations and dynamics where he doesn't have any control and doesn't go in his favour. So you can expect manipulations, pot shots, and waking up in the night to find that he is smothering you with a pillow. All of this wouldn't be to kill you. No, it would just be to make you hand back the reins to him.
Vengeance - What would they do in the face of competition?
Tumblr media
Ravis would know that he is a small country with little to his name. Little to offer, and even less means by which he can threaten. All in all if another country or a powerful person takes interest in you, there is little he can do about it. What he can do is gather allies or also use somebody else's interests to his own ends. There are border issues, economic disputes, intelligence problems and so much more that rise and subside in international relationships. He just has to make sure goals align and with a little grease on the wheels, he is good to go.
Perhaps the near neighbour is in desperate need of a colour revolution. Or should it rather be a plain political crisis. With some well placed words and offers, he could end up pointing a benefactor at his enemy like a howitzer. Once the wolves are done tearing at each other's throats, he'll be sifting through the rubble to take his own spoils. If one of those spoils is you, then that is just his luck, isn't it?
In the case we are talking about a regular mortal, then matters are simpler - they go missing. If they end up as pig food or as "goods" on the black market really depends on his mood.

❝𝐢𝐟 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝❞ ─ 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don't want your sympathy, i guess ive had it rough but you don't really care
❥ content ; gn reader, eventual fluff, angst, pining, happy ending
❥ warnings ; injury, swearing, mentions of death
❥ synopsis ; when you get badly injured during a mission, only then does levi realize the depths of his feelings for you. now the question is, is it too late?
❥ a/n ; i don't have a taglist yet so feel free to ask to get added!
Tumblr media
You glided through the trees alongside your team, adrenaline running through your veins.
Kicking yourself off a tree, you landed your body with ease onto a lone Titan spotted in the forest below you. With a swift swing of the blade, the Titan was on the ground.
Finished, you zipped yourself back into the air, joining your team member's formation as you all flew together.
"Y/N!" Captain Levi shouted, resent dripping off of his words. Here we go again. "Do not deviate from original course! We are here to scout, not to thrill seek."
The team came to a slow. They stood on the branches, overlooking the land beneath them.
"I was not thrill seeking, sir, I was doing my job," you defended, turning to Captain Levi. Though he was shorter than you were, his cold stare and unwavering demeanor intimidated you.
"Your job is to follow my orders, brat, not go off wandering like an idiot!"
"I didn't wander, I was quick to regroup! You're just finding a reason to take your anger out on me," you retorted. "Then again, I wouldn't be surprised. Considering your height, it's no wonder you can barely contain your anger in such a small body."
As much as he wanted to push you off the tree, Levi kept his poise.
By now the team could hear you and Levi's bickering, but considering they were used to it, they decided to butt out and focus on planning the route.
"Stable duty when we get back."
And then he walked away, leaving you fuming.
As you continued with the scouting mission, you encountered too many Titans that you couldn't just brush them off. Angry and left with no choice, Levi shouted orders to forget the original plan and fight back.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted two Titans approaching Jean and Armin with intent. You narrowed your eyes. This was your chance. You bolted off the tree, flying fast towards the two Titans. You got your gear out, ready to slice their napes, when one of the Titans looked your way, a sick smile on its face.
"Y/N!" Armin called out in a panic as the Titan extended its arm, swiping at you like a fly. Before its hand could collide with you, you were pushed out of the way by none other than Levi.
He wrapped his arms around you securely, one underneath your bottom and his other around your back. You heard him whisper a profanity, his hot breath fanning your neck as he spoke. Though it wasn't the time or the place, you couldn't help but let your mind wander.
You were brought back to reality when Levi glided deeper into the forest, setting you down onto the ground harsher than necessary.
Totally caught off guard, your back was shoved against a tree. Levi was quick to block your exits, predicting you would try to resist.
His arms caged you between him and the tree, leaving little to no distance between your bodies. You could feel your face get hot, either out of embarrassment or his body heat mixing with yours.
"What the hell is wrong with you, brat?!" Yelled Levi, eyes wild with rage. However, something felt different about this compared to when he scolded you for separating from the group. But you couldn't quite put your finger on it.
"Me?" You scoffed. "You're the crazy psycho who stole me away and cornered me in this forest!" You pushed at his chest, successfully shoving him off of you. "I had everything under control."
"You were almost killed! I can't have reckless people on my team. I'm a captain, not a babysitter, so get your shit together or get the hell off my team."
You stood against the tree quietly, Levi's venomous words stunning you into silence. Levi continued to stare deep into your eyes, his expression never changing. However, as the seconds passed, you saw a sliver of regret in his eyes, lasting only for a mere second.
You took a deep breath, trying to choose your words carefully. "I- Just.. Why do you hate me so much?"
Levi raised a brow while you continued to speak.
"I know I'm not the best fighter. Not compared to Misaka or Eren. But what did I do to deserve so much hatred from you? Even when I'm not doing anything wrong, you look at me like I'm the most disgusting person you've seen."
Despite feeling a sting of guilt at your words, Levi put on a dismissive act. "Tch, you're being dramatic. I'm not about to discuss this with you."
Why the fuck did he say that?
"Maybe if you listened to me for two damn seconds you wouldn't get such an earful."
Why is he being such an asshole? Gods, just tell them already. Stop this bullshit.
No longer finding it in you to care, you began to raise your voice, angry tears spilling down your face. "I try my best to make you like me. I try to show you that I'm capable and strong, but you still treat me as if I'm inferior. Like my skills are nothing. Like I'm nothing."
Emotionless, Levi replied, "Because you are. Look at you. You're a crybaby. You should've stayed back." Lies. All lies.
"Ugh- well maybe you should've just let me get killed since you despise me so much!"
With that, you grab your gear and zip away as far from Levi as possible, tears blowing out of your face and into the wind.
"Hey, where are you going?!"
You ignored him as you continued to speed through the trees, searching for your team. Your friends. Anybody.
"Y/N! Look out!"
You heard Eren shout, making you spin around frantically to search for the danger.
There it was.
An Abnormal ran your way, crawling like a dog on its hands and feet.
It had been chasing the team for a while now, evident in its animalistic, hungry look.
Steadily hanging off a branch, you watch the Titan from afar, then look back at the team.
"I'll distract it! You guys go!"
They looked at you as if you had grown two extra heads.
"You'll die!" Mikasa argued. "We can take it!"
"Just go!"
The Titan started to get closer. The team looked behind you, then back at you. Though they looked ready and determined to take it down, you knew they felt as terrified as you were. Fighting Titans was just something you don't think you'll ever get used to.
"Please be careful. We're gonna find Captain Levi!"
You nodded, then turned around, watching as the Titan ran towards you, totally disregarding the rest of the team.
"You want me? Come get me."
When you decided it was close enough, you darted into the forest and soared through the trees, only narrowly missing them. The Abnormal followed you, but hit itself on the trees and destroyed many in the process.
While the Abnormal continued to run through the forest, leaves and trees blocking its direct vision of you, you took a chance and turned back, flying past the Abnormal.
You did a quick u-turn and hopped onto its back.
You got it now.
As it chased after nothing, completely unaware, you slashed the nape of its neck.
With you still on its back, the Titan went limp mid-jump, falling onto the ground hard enough to create an earthquake. Unprepared for the collision, you went flying off its body.
Instead of bracing yourself for the fall, you frantically reached for your gear in an attempt to glide back up to the trees.
Before you got the chance, your body met with the ground, a loud thud echoing from the impact.
In the distance, the rest of the team continued to fight until they got to the very last Titan. Levi, though he was the last to regroup, helped effectively take down the Titans.
It wasn't evident in his stoic expression, but he searched among his surroundings and the faces of his team for you, afraid the worst had happened. Dammit, why did he have to be such an asshole? What Levi said to you, he meant none of it. But he feared he wouldn't get the chance to tell you that. Idiot.
"Is everybody here?!" Levi shouted as his team gathered around him.
"Yeah, we're alive-"
"Wait, where's Y/N?"
The team began to search among themselves, now becoming anxious as well.
"Well, where are they? Did you not see them at all?" Levi asked in a calm tone, despite his heart beat pounding in his ears. No. He wasn't going to slip up. Not here, not now. He needed to remain strong.
Mikasa spoke up. "We last saw them when we were being chased by an Abnormal! They offered to distract it and take care of it themselves."
Levi shouted, a crack in his voice, "And you let them?!"
"Y/N is strong! One of the best fighters we have here," Eld said. "They've probably already taken it down by now."
"Then where are they?!" Levi growled, becoming more frustrated by the second.
"Hey, look!" Armin yelled, shaking his finger towards the steam in the distance. "Eld was right! Y/N did kill it after all!"
Wasting no more time, Levi commanded the team to follow him. Soon again, they were up in the trees, running your direction. They stopped as soon as they came across a clearing in the forest where the Abnormal laid lifelessly.
"Everyone! Find Y/N!"
The team split, searching the area for any sign of you.
Levi dreaded the thought of finding you like they found the Titan. No. You killed it. You had to be alive.
Levi repeated that in his head. You had to be alive.
Because if you weren't, he wouldn't know what he would do.
Your eyes shot open at the sound of panicked screams echoing around you. You pushed yourself off of the ground in a rush, only to stumble back with an agonizing scream, pain shooting up the lower half of your body.
"Fucking hell! Oh shit," you fell back on the grass defeatedly, hot tears welling in your eyes at the intense pain and aches across your whole body. "Dammit!"
You didn't know which bones were broken, where you were, if you were bleeding out. So you just laid there alone, helpless and numb. Waiting.
Just when the team was beginning to lose hope, a blood curdling scream echoed throughout the forest, easily catching the team's attention. They headed towards the source of the sound, but Levi was the first on it, already sprinting through the forest to find you.
When he did, he felt his heart drop down to his stomach. You laid in a small clearing behind some old trees and bushes, a puddle of blood beneath your body. Your uniform was torn and your 3DMG was rendered useless at this point. If not for the scream, or the fast rise and fall of your chest, he would've mistaken you for being dead.
Levi rushed to your side and got onto his knees, lifting up your body into his arms.
"Y/N? Can you hear me? Y/N?"
You coughed, wheezing and struggling to make a coherent sound. Blood dripped down the corner of your mouth as you spoke, "You were right, Captain. I never stood a chance, did I?Shoulda just stayed." You laughed pitifully.
Now Levi was angry, but not at you. "Shut up! Don't say stupid shit like that! You're going to be okay."
The team found you, stopping short at the sight of Levi holding you carefully, like a porcelain doll, ready to break.
He didn't care anymore. He didn't bother to put up a front. Not when you were like this, half dead in his arms. He pressed his forehead to yours, whispering in your ear so only you could hear.
"I can't lose you too.."
Everyone else only continued to watch the intimate scene unfold before them.
When you fell unconcious, Levi squeezed his eyes shut, trying his best to keep his composure. Why was he acting like this? Usually he would be quick to solve problems without letting his feelings get in the way. Why was he so helpless now?
He turned around, scowling at the group who just stood by idly.
"Get over here and help them, you fools!"
You hated it. You hated having to be looked after or saved like a princess in a children's storybook. You didn't want to run away anymore, or simply stand in waiting, hoping for someone to rescue you. You were done being hunted. So you joined the Scouts after years of hard work and training. If you had only thought more carefully or put your parent's advice in consideration, you wouldn't be in your current situation, regretting ever joining Levi's team. You wouldn't have ended up in the infirmary.
You passed out in Levi's arms after suffering from injuries during your fight with the Abnormal Titan, according to your friends. They came by to visit you when the medic alerted them that you had woken up from your coma.
"How long was I out for?" You winced as you massaged your still pounding head. "When did I even get here?"
"You've been unconcious for two days. We retreated to the city as Captain Levi instructed and you've been under their care since," Eren answered. He noticed your demeanor as you looked around the room and picked at your skin, a nervous habit you recently formed. "Everybody's alive, so don't you worry."
"Where are they?"
"Well, they did have to receive medical attention since they got hurt, but they're okay! They miss you, ya know?" Armin said excitedly. "We'll make sure to fill you in on everything when you're out of here."
You pursed your lips. "Speaking of which, when will I be discharged?"
"You can't exactly walk right now, but.. you should be up and ready to go within a week! Then we can go on another mission and-"
"Eren. Armin. Mikasa." Your attention was torn away from Eren, your eyes darting towards the source of the voice.
"Captain Levi!" They all exclaimed in unison.
"I would like to speak with Y/N in private." He glanced at trio, his eyes narrowing. "Out."
The three walked out, heads bowed like sad little puppies. You waved at them as they went before turning to Levi who now stood by your bed.
"What do you want?" You asked bitterly, nose scrunching up in a sneer.
"Commander Erwin informed me of your decision," he spoke softly, differing from his usual cold tone.
You huffed. "Yeah, took your advice and resigned. You won't have to worry about babysitting me anymore."
A pang of guilt shot through Levi's heart, causing him to flinch. He hoped you didn't catch that.
He remembered his own regretful words as it replayed in his head. Just like your cries and pained expression, which he was unable to simply brush off, he couldn't forget how he mistreated you. And he would never forgive himself, either. The sight of your injured body laying there, all alone. He couldn't shake the scene off his mind, no matter how hard he tried. Even in his dreams.
Evident in his eyebags that seemed to have darkened in shade, he wasn't able to get much sleep the past couple days because of it.
"I take it you hate me, then," Levi suggested, prompting you to laugh mockingly.
"Oh, no, I could never," you said, sarcasm dripping off your voice as you fake fawned over Levi. "Levi Ackerman, Humanity's Strongest.. I just adore you."
Levi hid his offended expression and ignored your antics as he continued. "I was afraid I couldn't get the chance to apologize to you. When I found you there, I.." He squeezed his eyes shut and furrowed his brows together, forcing his tears not to fall. Why now?
"Yeah, well, you fucked up. About time you feel a little heartache," you mumbled, looking around the room, anywhere but Levi.
"A little?! Look, I'm trying to apologize here!" He shouted. "Do you have no idea how fucking terrified I've been for you, you brat?!"
"No, Captain Levi, so why don't you enlighten me on how much you care?!" You huffed, crossing your arms. "Because if you did, then maybe I wouldn't be bed ridden!"
Levi's face softened at the sight of a single tear escaping your eye. He took a seat on the bed beside you and reached out to brush away your tear.
With your quick reflexes, you caught his hand and pushed it back towards him.
"Don't you dare touch me. You've done enough damage, Levi. Just go and stop wasting my time."
Just like you, he was stubborn. He stood his ground.
"I-I'm sorry."
You let out an exasperated sigh. "You must think I'm stupid. No way I'm buying that bullshit."
"You need to stop pushing me away, Y/N!"
"What is that, an order?" You taunted. "You don't get to be sorry, Levi. It's too late for that. You waited for me to almost die just to tell me that? Is that what it takes? What if I hadn't survived? What then?"
"You don't think I haven't thought about that?! That's why I'm here!"
"Yeah, and who's fault is that?"
"You should've listened to me! I was trying to protect you!"
"Well thanks a lot. Now both my kneecaps are broken and I won't be able to walk for weeks!" You shake your head. "You think just because we shared a moment while I was dying that I'm okay now? Trust me, if I had the strength, I would have slapped you then and there."
"Then why don't you now?"
"At this point, you're not even worth getting angry over. So stop giving me that pitiful look. I really prefer you shouting at me instead. At least I'm used to it." You mumble the last part, but Levi catches it easily.
"That's it then, you leave me no choice." You look at Levi curiously. "You infuriate me, brat, you really do. You're so careless and oblivious all the time, you forget to look after yourself. And I'm not ready to watch you throw away your life so irrationally from the sidelines."
"So what are you trying to tell me, Levi?"
"Tch, you're just gonna make me say it, aren't you?" He takes a deep breath. "I'm not good at this, and I hate to admit it, to you of all people. It makes me mad to see you risk your life because I care about you.. and I can't lose you. I've dealt with too much death. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you alive, even if it means dying.." Levi trails off, then scoffs and crosses his arms like a petty little child. "I said it, all right? I like you-- A lot, you stupid brat!"
You searched Levi's eyes for any trace of dishonesty. You hoped he was lying, like he had some sort of script prepared before he came to see you. But you found no lies in his eyes.
You felt your heart break. All this time when you thought Levi just really hated you, he was looking out for you.
"I.. Why didn't you just tell me?" Your voice fell apart as you spoke. "I tried so hard to make you like me back.. And it hurt because I thought you just hated my guts. I had no idea."
"I know, I was being stupid too- It shouldn't have come to this," Levi admitted. "I.. I'll let you rest now."
Levi stood up to leave, but you were quick to pull him back onto the bed with you. Without letting him react, you grabbed his face and interlocked your lips with his. All the tension in his body disappeared and he melted into the kiss, throwing his arms around you tightly like he'd lose you if he ever let go. It wasn't a soft, romantic, movie perfect kiss. It was desperate, tongue and teeth, hands wandering, disheveling the other's hair. You released all of your built up anger and resent, letting it fuel you while you aggresively fought your tongue with his, a faint taste a hint of alcohol now on your own mouth. Occasionally you'd both break the kiss for short intakes of breath and small whispers like 'don't scare me like that again' and 'I've needed this for a while now'. You couldn't help but moan, earning a grin from Levi as he continued to hungrily devour your lips. Just as things escalated, you remembered you were still in the infirmary, and anyone could walk in any minute now. You slowly pulled away, your chest heaving as you panted for breath.
Levi couldn't help but twist his lips up into a little smirk. That was new.
"Well at least you're not a bad first kisser," he spoke nonchalantly, still gasping for air. You playfully punched him in the chest.
"Quite the romantic, aren't you?" You rolled your eyes but couldn't stop yourself from smiling like an idiot. "You're not bad either, old man."
Blush spread across his cheeks.
He took your hand in his, bringing it to his swollen and raw lips and placed a small kiss on your knuckles.
"Promise me you won't leave me again?"
"Promise," you sighed blissfully. "And I guess I'll have to tell Commander Erwin about my change of plans."
"Actually," a deep voice spoke. At the door, there stood none other than Commander Erwin. "I think I already know."

We Met Within This Screen [chapt. 7]
[Donnie x reader]
chapter 6 here
Tumblr media
"Nothing gets past me, especially not you and your nervous habits, Donatello," Splinter's voice bounced around Donnie's head.
The brothers all looked at each other incredulously, Donnie's anxiousness replaced by complete bafflement. Everyone was wondering the same thing: How did he know?
"You wonder how I knew," Splinter said pointedly, "as if you four are any good at keeping a secret."
They waited for him to go on, but instead there was another uncomfortable pause, Splinter assumedly expecting them to say something. It was Mikey who finally broke the silence. "Are you gonna, like...tell us what we did wrong? How you knew? So next you can't—"
Splinter scoffed and brought his staff down on the youngest's foot. Mikey yelped, bouncing away on one leg. "Teach you how to lie? I have taught you many skills, but one that will always elude you is how to keep something from me. Parents have a sixth sense, you know." He turned to Donnie, regarding the rest of them with a dismissive wave of his hand, "You three, to your rooms. Come to the dojo with me, Donatello."
The three were quick to scatter, Mikey whining into Raph's ear about being sent to their rooms so early, and Raph huffing that he'd been dragged in too.
Swallowing, Donnie followed behind him a few paces, not sure what to expect but nervous all the same. He was lead in and instructed to sit down on the floor, Splinter settling down in front of him. Donnie's fingers brushed along the ridges of the knuckles of his other hand again and again as he tried to find something to occupy them with.
Resting his palms in his hands, Splinter began to talk, voice less harsh than Donnie had anticipated. "I know that we lead a very isolated life, my son. But you must keep your priorities in perspective. You four need each other, and betraying one another's trust does not help that case."
"I'm sorry, Master Splinter," Donnie apologized and hung his head.
"Perhaps you should apologize to your brothers, just as they should to you."
I did put them on the spot, especially Leo, thought Donnie, considering now that he had put him and Raph in a weird position. They had to choose between ratting on him to Splinter and keeping it under wraps for the sake of not stirring up the pot needlessly. As much as Leo was a stickler for the rules, he didn't want to create dissension between him and Donnie. So, they chose the latter option, and now all four were in trouble with their father.
"Okay. I guess...but, Master Splinter, how did you know?"
"About your secret antics?"
Donnie let out a humorless chortle, feeling a twinge of embarrassment that he had actually thought at some point, he was getting away with anything. "Yeah, it...it wasn't very much of a secret."
Stroking his chin, Splinter plainly said, "It was only a suspicion, until you confirmed it."
That night a few weeks ago when Splinter came to him in his lab. The way he squeaked when he was confronted just prior to them going to talk alone. Why didn't I think of that? It was a classic trick, one their father had deployed quite a few times on them. He'd been baited into giving himself away. None of them could tell when he was bluffing or if he actually knew. Save for Leo, who managed only twice in their time to make heads or tails of it.
"I really walked right into that one," Donnie whimpered under his breath, palms pressing down on his knees.
"You did. But," his tone turned more serious, looking him dead in the eye, "you must fix your mistakes, son."
"How?" asked Donnie softly, searching for his father's guidance, but it would find no purchase. He was hard pressed to find a solution immediately.
Splinter shut his eyes and thought. It was a tricky situation, indeed. He gathered that if anything, this was an excellent lesson for Donnie, as well as the others. Under his own supervision, of course; there wasn't room for any more blundering.
Standing up, he placed his staff under his hand. "I trust that you will find a way. You have a brilliant mind, Donatello. Use it well," he told him, and went to leave the training room.
Donnie was still sat on the floor contemplating Splinter's words, honored yet uneasy at the same time that he was being entrusted to fix things. How, he didn't know. Truly. He was at war with himself trying to balance his logic with his emotions, trying to make the two meet gracefully, but it felt impossible. Whichever road he chose, it was a betrayal to the other. One left behind while the other took the wheel. And thoughtlessly, he blurted out, "What if your heart is telling you something completely different, Sensei? What if everything feels contradictory, and—and like there's no right answer, even though you do have this mind, you just can't seem to…"
Donnie's voice tapered. Slightly surprised, Splinter stopped in his tracks, brows high as he looked back at him, who was so clearly riddled with a deeper kind of conflict. Critically discouraged, but still the sliver of will in those eyes of his. His heart went out to him.
Splinter had known that Donnie was interacting with a human. What he hadn't known was that he was in love with the human.
There was a moment of understanding, and Splinter realized that Donnie could not do this on his own. It reminded him of the times the turtles had all been children, the way Donnie looked to him for wisdom as he grappled with himself. Sighing, Splinter sat back down, this time close to him. Donnie was despondent, reverting to staring at the edge of the mat he sat on. "I know your struggles, my son. It seems like there's a sacrifice no matter what you choose, does it not?"
"I don't want to let you guys down. But, I...you know, I'm sorry, Master Splinter, but you don't understand."
He didn't want to say bluntly that he wanted to think of himself and his needs, unlike usual. He knew Splinter would probably not approve of that. None of them had much of a chance to make a selfish decision, aside from everyday things such tucking into the pizza before it even made it back to the Lair. So far, the number of times he could recall making a consequential choice for the sole purpose of indulging himself, was an astounding zero.
"What makes you think I would not understand?" questioned Splinter, and Donnie regretted that he'd said it. He didn't miss how Donnie looked to be becoming mildly sour (among other things), though not at him specifically.
It was then Donnie clammed up, shut down the conversation, he was not going to say it. "It" being what he assumed Splinter wasn't privy to, that he had undoubtedly fallen hard for his friend. But knowing his father, he could totally have had a clue. Splinter didn't always need the details to make an assessment when it came to his sons, whom he knew all too well.
Letting out a crestfallen huff, Donnie rested his chin on his knee, arm obstructing the better half of his face. "It doesn't matter," he mumbled.
Splinter stayed quiet. He didn't want to drive Donnie off—not when he was in such a turmoil. The atmosphere changed to a cold one. Donnie didn't acknowledge him until he put his hand on his forearm, giving it a gentle squeeze and saying, "I will tell you again: I trust that you will figure it out."
What if I make the wrong decision?
"For all of our sakes, I hope you're right, Sensei," Donnie responded. Splinter smiled and got up, prepared to leave the matter at that until any further updates. Until the phone in Donnie's back pocket began to vibrate out of the blue. He wanted to answer, but what, at that point? What should he say?
A minute went by of more persistent vibrating, and Splinter's ear twitched, certain he knew who it was. He was disappointed with the carelessness that had brought them to that moment, but what was done was done. None knew if the girl had any suspicions. "Are you going to answer it?" he asked, sort of prompting him to pick the phone up.
"May I?" Donnie thought he might have sounded a little eager.
Splinter let out a calm hum and motioned for him to do it. Donnie lifted his finger to press accept, but Splinter interrupted firmly, "Speaker, Donatello."
Eyes flitting to Splinter, he accepted the call and reluctantly turned on the speaker.
"Bo, what was all of that earlier, dude? You had me worried sick!" spoke [y/n], more concerned than angry (which Donnie was somewhat relieved about), but he sunk down sheepishly upon seeing the look on his father's face. He gave Donnie a questionable glance at the word "Bo", as he wasn't aware of the details. Donnie wasn't about to correct her right now.
"I–...hey, [y/n]," he said, forcing himself to turn to the side so he wouldn't have to look at Splinter. The eyes on him made him feel put off to the point he couldn't focus on her voice, but the fact that Splinter was right there, listening in, and both were fixing to find out just what kind of mess they had on their hands. "Believe me when I tell you, you don't want to get caught up in this," he told her, "I can't—"
"Listen," she started, exasperated, "I've heard it before. 'I can't tell you this', and 'I can't tell you that'," she went on, "Be honest with me, Bo; is it that you can't or you just won't?"
Splinter's thoughts were undetermined. Donnie couldn't read anything from his stoic expression.
"It's not that I won't," he rebutted, pitch going up involuntarily, "Why won't you listen to me when I say I can't?"
"Because there's something going on, with you, and I know my eyes weren't just playing tricks on me. I saw something crazy—I heard it, too, when I called you the other day!"
I am so dead. Donnie's stomach did a flip. He couldn't face his father, but behind him, Splinter placed his hand on his face, covering his eyes. He shot Donnie an intimidating glance, and Donnie waved his hands nervously, listening to her go on as he backed up. Pivoting around from the jabs sent to his side by Splinter's staff, he jumped away with his comically long stride, trying to avoid the onslaught while juggling the phone. He muffled a grunf of pain when the cane managed to whack his head.
"Hold on!" he said, and Splinter stopped and narrowed his eyes, the voice on the other end of the phone also going silent. Donnie couldn't regain his composure while being chased around the dojo, so he finally was able to sputter out, "W-what did you see?"
"I was on the balcony, 'Don'. I heard your voice on the phone and saying the same thing from the roof, and saw two giant...turtles! With weapons, fighting what looked like ninjas?! What even is this?" she yelled.
She'd put two and two together. There was no fixing.
Only acceptance.
Blinking, Donnie nearly dropped the phone. Splinter shut his eyes, slowly shook his head, and turned around. The sound of his cane tapping the floor as he walked was the only thing he could hear after he tuned out the speaker.
He was now alone in the dojo, under the light that streamed through the grate above him, standing in the hush.
He turned the speaker off. She, on the other end, was quiet, too, in disbelief. And probably rightfully feeling betrayed, in a way, Donnie thought. The friend she'd come to care for so much turned out to be someone she couldn't have even imagined.
Licking his lips, he put on the most level tone he could and said in a struggle, "You can't tell anyone. I-if you say something, I'll... we'll…"
I could never threaten you, [y/n].
"You'll what?" she asked, voice low.
Then, all the could hear was her breathing. The dojo was completely quiet, the room was large, and there he was, in the middle. Donnie liked smaller spaces. Darker spaces, like his lab. He felt exposed in that moment, even when no one could see him.
"Be in danger," he said in earnest.
There was some rustling, then the sound of wind on her end. He barely heard a sliding door shut.
"Come here," she told him firmly.
His eyes went wide. "What?" he questioned, stupefied.
She sighed, "No more lying, Bo—Don—I don't know. If what we have really matters to you…"
A mix of emotions swirled in him as he waited for her words. She hesitated.
"I'll come," he whispered, finishing her sentence.
"You'll come."
Blowing a breath out from between his lips, and nodded. Sorry, Master Splinter.
He snuck through the Lair to the exit of the sewers.
