i'm so sorry, i know its friday here but hear me out!!! in compensation, i offer two snippets. one from eurotrip (rwrb) (please scroll for RWRB!), the other from my tarlos collab with the amazing @strandnreyes (please read her lil snippet if you haven't!!!)

PET STORE (TARLOS)

“Is it normal to name fish?” TK continues, straightening up. “Or is that not a thing fish owners do?” Carlos can’t stop the smile that stretches across his lips as he watches TK tap his card on the reader. He’s possibly the most adorable being Carlos has ever known, which is saying a lot because Carlos has met a lot of cute beings. “I think it’s nice,” he replies. “It gives them personality.” TK hums as he retracts his card. “Are you going to ask what I named the goldfish?” Carlos laughs softly, printing a receipt and handing it over, trying not to gasp as their skin touches briefly. “What did you name the fantail, TK?” TK looks at him, all green eyes and gorgeous lips stretched into a grin. “Carlos.” “Carlos?” Carlos asks, wondering if his face looks as pathetic as he feels. “Why would you name it that?” “Oh, I know a guy.” Carlos bites his lip and looks down at the counter. This has to be flirting. It feels like flirting. He desperately wants to ask TK if he’d like to go out for dinner, or maybe make out in the middle of his place of employment. There’s a staff room he could lead them to, although Sharon probably has a camera or five set up in there.  Instead, he says, “I think your goldfish is a female.”

EUROTRIP (RWRB)

“Just move the fucking bed, Henry.” “Right, yes.” After another minute of awkward manoeuvring, Alex hitting his head on a wooden slat and Henry apologising profusely, the phone is freed from between the wall and the bed frame and drops into Alex’s outstretched hand. He wiggles out from under the bed, victoriously clutching it in his fingers, before collapsing onto the mattress with an exaggerated sigh. “That will teach you not to fall asleep watching porn in bed,” he jokes, revelling in the flush that colours Henry’s cheeks. It’s become a staple of this trip and Alex thinks it’s so achingly beautiful that he’s started taking every opportunity to make it appear. “I wasn’t— You’re a plague on this earth,” Henry stammers, taking his phone from Alex’s hand before perching himself on his own bed, facing Alex as if they’re bunkmates on a school camp, about to tell each other their deepest, darkest secrets. “Thank you. Really.” “No problem,” Alex says as he leans backwards, resting his elbows on the bedspread. “So…” “So,” Henry repeats, almost shyly. “I—” “We—” They laugh awkwardly, Henry running a hand through his hair as Alex bites his lip. He doesn’t know where the hell either of them are going with this, but he gestures for Henry to go first and watches him wring his hands in his lap. “I just wanted to ask,” Henry says, looking down at his lap before allowing his eyes to flick upwards to Alex’s face. “What’s going on? Why do you seem so…” “Pissy?” “Yes,” Henry replies, huffing a laugh and giving Alex a tentative smile. “That.”

But man, what he saw the previous repeat… that has been niggling his brain for the past two days, because what the hell was that? Dirk never mentioned such a thing. Which isn't surprising- it's not like he ever really shares how his holistic bullshit actually works and Todd's been struggling to find a way to bring it up.

i hate to say it, like i love watcher, but my thoughts on them leaving youtube is this is too much too soon, like the bulk of their fans are probs younger/unable to afford another subscription fee, plus youtube has always been where they've been?? it's just so stark to go from this being the site you put your content on for years and then to go full cold turkey, no more posting on youtube ever

and i'll be honest, they don't have enough content to warrant a separate site/subscription all together. dropout is able to pull it off because they have the full rotation of shows and cast as well (dnd, game changer, etc), whereas for watcher, they only have a few couple really successful shows and those are primarily only focused on ryan and shane.

and tbh, i don't think they have a big enough audience to launch it either, like their marketing team could do better on advertising their shows! like, i haven't been keeping up with their recent shows cause either i don't see it on my youtube algorithm at all or i have to go out of my way to go see it.

and i don't know this just feels like a kick to the face to their fans, like even dropout has shorts on youtube and keeps up all their content on youtube like some episodes and the entirety of season one of fantasy high, and now i'm seeing in the comments, that their international fans outside of the usa won't even able to subscribe cause of how payment works which is :///, so yeah, watcher, it's been nice knowing ya, but i don't know how this move will turn out for you, i'm sorry to say

His bedroom is the safest option, even if Dirk sleeps here with him most nights. Todd only sleeps in Dirk's room a fraction of the time- Dirk needs his own space a whole lot more than Todd does.
