I love the etho series where he's lost his partner and can't even yell at him because he's dead while he gets stressed to hell about creepers since they could make him permadie if he's not careful. almost as much as the etho series where he's got a limited number of lives he can gain or lose through things like being assigned to kill another thing and there's a big component of going up vertically in space as part of this.
