Forgot to share here.... old doodles of when I finally came around to finding a design I like for Qalaari's mom !!

#it's so fucking funny to me that i inadvertently gave her a variant of the “mom about to die” haircut because... well...#surprise... she did die when Qalaa was young (12) :'^)#Qalaa (now between 20 and 22) still hasn't gotten over it #her mom had really weak health and really shouldn't have had a child but she made her choice #it turned out to be not the best one for her health LMAO #who wouldve thunk #but hey she wanted it and i'm pretty sure she doesn't regret it #but well... Qalaa does feel like she was a participant in her mom's death #(the other participant being her biological father who ran away before she was born and shattered aamira's heart)#ANYWAYS #i love qalaa's messed up familly #it's like a regular messed up story where actually no one (and everyone) is to blame (except Qalaa lmao she asked for NOTHING)#Aaamira gave so so much love to her child ;;;;;; this built the unbreakable core of Qalaa's kindness #aamira #aamira croquelune #aamira molandine #croquelune #still thinking about making that potentiel small DnD 'lore addon' of Qalaa's village that you can take and plug in your very own campaign #as long as you have 'far from civilization' woods or mountains you can put them in there #a village that welcomes the 'monsters' and the cast out #(like aamira)#look at me rambling in the tags lmao i just love qalaari (& her background) so much #last thing tho : you have to understand that Aamira is small and very slight and Qalaari was a HUGE baby and is a really big girl overall

Listen, so my mind is kind of hazy when I think back to Bridgerton in its early days, like season one and all, mainly around things like promos and cast interviews whatever. The same can be said for season two, but the only way I remember the posters, again distantly, is because Netflix would switch them up here and there when recommending the show. All that to be said, seeing some Polin stans on Twitter (X) getting upset by the small promo clip of Kate and Anthony, talking about it shouldn't have been added because it's Polin's season is...very laughable to me given the fact that Polin and its actors took up a lot of the promos for season two (+ add on the Featherington plotline as well as it's adjacent to both of them). Like, let's not rewrite history and get mad at the only (so far) main ship on this show with a dark-skinned woc being given its time to shine (which it hardly was in its own season, but for another time). Also, this isn't any hate (or more so a critique) to the actors at all, but more so certain members of the fandom.

the paradox of the loki tv show is that every single aspect of it is (to me) objectively Bad and Poorly Executed and yet somehow overall it manages to be fun enough to watch. the actors are all proven good actors but their acting is bad in this show. the time travel science makes no sense and the efforts to force it to make sense only make it sound more ridiculous. i don’t know why i’m supposed to care about any of these characters except loki and mobius and maybe OB. the characters are on like four different sides re: the central conflict, and i don’t even understand what the central conflict IS, let alone what all the different factions are. i don’t know who the villains are. there’s a horny-threatening cartoon hologram clock who i suppose is the main villain? there are apparently microbes living on the edge of time bc the time wizard man (who it must be said is acting his ASS off—for NO reason) is decaying so what’s that about? a man from the 1800s named “victor timely” gets turned into human spaghetti and even the characters somehow seem to know how bad the CGI looked? apparently the tva’s preferred method of execution is crushing people in a shrinking metaphysical box? that is run by the technological equivalent of the tubby custard machine? and perhaps worst of all, the show gave itself the opportunity—even spent a good minute setting it up—to show tom hiddleston and owen wilson struggling to figure out how to ride a tandem bicycle together, and the show??? DIDNT TAKE IT??? im not even a lokius shipper! that is simply bad storytelling! yet somehow i’m still watching! so who’s the real idiot here 🤔😔
