You know what's the worst thing in all of this, in my opinion?

That Bad got caught up in it too.

Like, Skeppy killed everyone so he could protect Bad, so he could keep him safe.

That's why he killed Bad back on Big Daddy Island, to try and sever his connection to the Egg. When he realized that didn't work, he offered himself to the Egg so it would let Bad go.

And when he realized the Egg would kill everyone around it for its hatching, he made Bad promise him he wouldn't go near the Egg again so he'd be safe from it.

But Bad broke his promise, his compassion and empathy too strong to be able to let go of Puffy. He goes to the Egg anyway and dies along with everyone else - because of course the Egg wouldn't keep its promise to let go of Bad when the opportunity presented itself so perfectly.

(Side note, we don't know if Bad actually lost a life. Its been hinted pretty heavely that he didn't die, actually.)

Everything Skeppy did, - the scheming, the back stabbing, the blood of everyone on his hands - was for nothing. Bad was (allegedly) caught by the Egg and now Skeppy has just doomed the server with whatever Eldrich Horror resided within.

The Egg hatched, Bad is gone, and it's all Skeppy’s fault.

correct me if im wrong but im PRETTY sure that for something to be a proper sequel it needs more than literally just reusing the same world and character models and slightly altering their design or adding an ability (that they got somwhere in between which isnt shown nor elaborated on either while previous abilities or interests/knowledge vanish)

made the mistake of saying that really totk isnt a sequel bc it doesnt build on, nor expand nor elaborate nor continue anything from botw, its the same preset of basic things like ... world and character models and tells an entirely different story utterly disconnected from anything botw, which it not only acts like it never happened (aside from like one dialog which is not enough for me when everyone else has literally forgotten everything and tbh feels more like a reference thats actually a slap and laugh in your face) but often times actively contradicts it, like a different version of the same thing

It has come to the attention of I and many others that there has been some disrespect going on between Tumblr users who like to draw ship art of the Eddsworld characters and those who do not like to see certain ships. I will not name names or point fingers, but this needs to be addressed. Making art of these ships is absolutely okay to do as long as it is not problematic! We want Tumblr to be a safe place for those who use it as their outlet for art.

To any newcomers entering the Eddsworld fandom: most of us Eddhead veterans are in our late teens or early twenties so most of us are adults. WE'VE BEEN THROUGH THE WRINGER AND WE KNOW THE DRILL:

The fictional characters are not the real people, so yes, it is okay to ship the fictional characters. We know the difference between the fictional characters and the real people.

DO NOT bash those who ship certain characters together. DO NOT comment on a post of ship art you don't like just to tell the artist you don't like it. They spent a lot of time making that and it is very disrespectful to the artist. They have every right to take offense to your comment. Even if you were to say "Nice art but I don't ship it" is still considered disrespectful.

If you see something you don't like either scroll past it, filter out the tags, or block the person. It's really that simple! You do not have to interact with the art or the artist.

Also, T.H.I.N.K. before you speak, please! What has been said many times before needs to be said again.

I hope someday kids don't have to fear coming out to their Catholic families. I hope someday they're raised being taught the whole truth, that while actions are sinful and the Church cannot condone them, feelings and temptations are not, and that God doesn't love them any less for something they can't control. I hope when they start to feel these things their immediate reaction isn't "oh no, my parents will kill me if they find out" but, "I need to talk about this with my parents". I hope someday it's no longer treated as the worst thing a person could be, or something that needs to be hidden. I hope someday they don't feel unwelcome by their parish, that they know they belong there just as much as anyone else. I hope someday they're taught that a celibate life is not a punishment, but a beautiful way to live a holy life- not just for lgbt people, but for anyone who chooses it, and that it's no longer looked at as a lesser option. I hope someday they can confidently turn to their loved ones for support and guidance, and not have to carry this alone. I hope someday lgbt Catholics are loved in the Church like God loves them.

Racism in bandom and the entire music scene is an enormous problem, one that a lot of white people would like to ignore. Let me make it clear: we cannot ignore this. In the last few days I’ve seen some truly horrifying things said to and about people of color who are taking on the emotional labor and the pain and stress of confronting this racism. This cannot be excused or brushed under the rug.

If you’re a white person here on tumblr and you’ve seen some of these posts where people of color talk about the hardships and racism they’ve faced as nonwhite fans of bands and ignored it, you’re complicit in this. [edit: that is to say - if you’re ONLY reblogging posts about it but not taking the time to change your actions and learning then you’re complicit, not that by not reblogging them you’re complicit.] I’m not saying you have to reblog every post like this you see - blindly reblogging to “prove” you’re not racist does nothing. I’m saying that when you see these posts and hear about these experiences you need to THINK about how you engage with people of color AND with racist people in the spaces you’re in. You need to LISTEN to the non white people making these posts and believe their experiences and adjust your own behavior accordingly.

Back when MCR was actively touring there were lots of conversations about the racism directed at Ray Toro in fandom spaces, and now with FOB returning we’re going to see a lot of that racism return and be directed at Pete Wentz. This is important not to ignore, and it’s important to think about how you talk about these individuals and how this contrasts with how you talk about their white bandmates. Even more importantly though is how you engage with the non white people HERE, on tumblr, in bandom spaces, and at shows. It’s great you think Ray or Pete are attractive or appreciate their music and their talent, but how are you treating the people of color around you? Are you listening to them when they talk about their experiences and racism and try to adjust your behavior? Or do you pat yourself on the back for reblogging a call out post and move on with your day?

These conversations are going to continue throughout the next year as FOB begins their tour and this racism start to pop up more and more, and you need to be prepared to think critically about your own biases and where you need to change and be actively anti-racist in your spaces.

hi! i was wondering, why are some cars faster than others? what makes red bull different from other teams when they're all subject to the same reg changes? is it just due to their resources or a lack thereof?

hello! i will try to answer this the best that i can with my limited tech knowledge and vocabulary <3

tldr; basically, yes, there is a difference between the teams' performance cause by the variation in the amounts of money, sponsors and overall resources. but as certain teams have showed time n time again (eh-em scuderia ferrari), it's not just about having money but what you do with it; largely when it comes to aero development and the wiggle room the regs give

first things first, while the regs are same for all teams, the way the regs are interpreted by the teams differ largely. everything from the floor to the wings to the nuts and bolts can be customised by the teams. Some choices work in their favour, others not so much.

something to remember is that, while building a f1 car, you're always choosing to sacrifice one thing or another. for example, during the merc domination era, their cars were rarely ever following another due to always qualifying in the top 2. that's how they designed their car then; to lead, not to follow. which means that when they did have to follow another their car, their aerodynamics struggled and the car got much harder to drive. but that's a risk they chose to take because they knew that their car had good qualifying pace.

the teams try to build a car that suits to all tracks; ones with mostly slow speed corners or fast speed corners or mid. long straights or not. all that jazz. the ideal car is one that can do well or at least relatively well in all of these tracks. but as last year showed, even the best developed cars (rip rb19 u will always be famous) will struggle on some tracks (singapore; marina bay circuit; heartbreaker). it is extremely hard to be able to build a car that's always in the top 2, and often, it requires other teams massively fucking up their interpretation of the regs and the parts and features they believe makes for a fast f1 car.

a BIG part of setting up and building a car is having drivers that can give you feedback on how the cars act and react on the track. the simulators are great and helpful but they cannot be compared to the feeling of being in the actual car, going 300 miles an hour and feeling it in your bones. time and time again, it's been seen that teams who have ignored their drivers' suggestions on what to change about the car (lewis @ merc since the last two years) have suffered a decline in the quality of their machines.

all of this comes down to the development of the car and the people involved in developing said car. of course the resources matter but the development philosophy (especially when it comes to what they do with their aero package) often plays the biggest part.

but to come to the resources part,

sponsorships, the finishing position in the wcc; the price money that comes along with it, and whether the team is backed by an engine manufacturer/major brand does give that monetary boost that leads to massive differences in lap time on track. for one, it influences the people you can hire; right from the drivers to the strategists and aerodynamicists. talent comes with a massive price tag in f1.

with teams with lesser sponsors (for eg, haas), there also comes the limitation of not being able to afford extra, spare engines or front/rear wings which can then limit and lead to a drop in the car's performance. while rbr can afford to switch out their PU if it's not giving them peek performance, williams or haas cannot do that simply because of not having enough money to be able to buy another engine from the manufacturer.

f1 is trying to decrease the difference between the teams' performance based on access to resources with adding a cost cap and giving more aero development time to the teams that finish lower in the constructors championship. but so far, it doesn't seem to have made too much of a difference to the finishing order. although, the gaps between the teams in terms of lap times has come down significantly.

i have to mention (thank u @epylonia for reminding me of this) that merc has definitely struggled since the cost cap was put in place. do with that what u will <3

also, i cannot write an essay without bringing up adrian newey. there have been talks of him retiring since 2016 but rbr has kept a deathgrip on him and paid a good amount (10 milli dollars/year) to do so. that man is a genius and rbr is fucking lucky to be able to have him/afford him.

1.) YEAHH EXACTLY. Or his ADHD 😭 It drives me NUTS whenever Percy is treated as the dumb + comedic guy. Like I get what they're saying and why they're saying it, but sometimes his character gets reduced to JUST that and it hurts my soul. I get that he's funny as a narrator and as a character and sometimes he can be a little "clueless" but it just feels like some people like to think of that as either all he is or a huge part of who he is. I believe I've also seen Leo get this treatment despite literally being insanely smart at such a young age so. that's...fun. They can be funny and smart too 😞

3.) YEEEAHHHH I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! What I would do to get adopted by her rn. The way she talks to him makes me kinda teary-eyed because she's just so...you can just tell how much she loves Percy and that she would do anything to make sure he grew up resilient and kind in a world that's always out to get him. She believes in him so much that it just makes me lose my mind a little. It's just so sweet and I can't help but feel so moved by it.

I'm not sure if you've read Chalice of the Gods, but there's this scene where (spoilers, kinda) Sally talks to Percy after the whole thing with Hebe and honestly this scene makes me want to sob and cry and weep
