The tragedy that is Arthur Morgan is something that keeps me up at night.

That man lived day to day thinking life was just a tally chart of his sins and that he was forever damned, to the point where he was silently suicidal.

He lived and died thinking that no matter what good he did, it would never make up for his existence - in the type of life he didn't get to choose.

And what's worse is that he still tried. He tried and gave absolutely everything to the people he cared about, to the people he loved, and he watched all of it crumble before him.

He was a dog that was tricked into thinking it was a wolf, a stag who was taught to be a moose, that died to unwavering loyalty.

Not everyone in this fandom can draw the alternates as a ugly looking creatures and that’s fine some people’s artstyles don’t really fit the characters and that’s ok. Still draw them because you love the characters.

Some tmc artists are really good at drawing horror but doesn’t mean everyone else has that talent so idk just let people have fun.

It’s not that serious tbh like if someone can only draw Gabriel and six as normal looking dudes who cares?

Not everyone’s artstyles Iike I said before work well with horror.

(People can try to draw them but some people are uncomfortable about it because they’re not confident in drawings horror.)

Before you say that’s the who point of them is too look ugly,yeah you’re right but at the same time not everyone can draw horror.So allow them to still draw the character either way.

Anyway this fandom has some cool artists and I love seeing your designs.

Unhinged chatter

The argument for sustainable shopping and ethical consumption is the most one sided, ignorant and glorified topics of discussion I've seen regarding clothes.

"Go thrifting" "Buy from sustainable companies" "Buy from local businesses" "If you can afford to buy from unethical companies you can afford to buy sustainably" "Just travel to find ethical stores" "Consider your personal carbon footprint" "Buying from unethical companies is wasteful" "You are selfish for buying unsustainably"

There are thousands, maybe even millions of people living in circumstances where none of these are available or can apply to them, so here is mine:

I live in a small, (less than 40 people live here) small village in the middle of fuckall nowhere surrounded by endless farmland and nothingness where majority of the people who live here rely on public transport and have to travel hours to go anywhere.

There are no thrift shops near me and the singular one that we found we had to travel way out of town for, it did not have clothes in either of our sizes or reasonable style because it was, majority, donated childrens and elderly clothes, essential items and items available for purchase to help support the charity.

Do you know why?

Because majority of the "thrift shops" where I live are designated charity shops because they're there for people who are less fortunate and are struggling and need affordable clothes and items.

These shops are not an aesthetic

They're not a trend

They're not shops for your mass consumption

I'm sick sick sick sick of the assumption that everybody has sustainable options available at affordable prices.

Everybody being able to live fully sustainable is an ideal that is impossible to achieve for many many people, as good as it would be to live that way.

Small businesses are wonderful but have as many cons as there are pros.

An example would be that, on average, smaller business are limited to only supporting certain sizes that dont accommodate to a majority of people (most usually stopping at size large), whilst frankly being out of budget in comparison to shopping elsewhere.

The difference is spending £30 for a few "ethical" items compared to spending £30 elsewhere and being able to afford enough clothes to cover you for more situations and comforts (not even considering people with material sensitivities or preferences that is).

And that's just about prices.

Travel, availability, individual preferences, disabilities and needs are also things that need to be considered.

Is it worth paying to travel hours out only to be able to afford one £25 shirt because it's "sustainable"?

The phrase "There is no ethical consumption under capitalism" should not be used to justify cases of mass consumption from unethical companies (large £500+ clothing hauls etc) from people who can afford to shop sustainably.

This doesn't mean not being able to afford clothes outside your budget makes you selfish, it means you are only able to afford what you have available.

Clothes are expensive, and I'm tired of people acting like they're not.

The problem of unsustainable and unethical resources being provided for consumption is an issue that is far out of your hands.

Not shopping at certain shops isn't going to stop the unethical exploitation because the problem isn't entirely the consumers fault (I say isnt entirely for the cases of peoples mass consumption from these companies ultimately supports them on a larger scale compared to just doing regular shopping), the problem is these unethical ways being there in the first place.

Obviously clothes are cheaper because of these unethical circumstances, but that doesn't mean clothes shouldn't be affordable.

There's many layers to the issues beneath the greed of capitalism.

I have mixed feelings on the Manifest finale.

Like I wanted Ben and Saanvi to be together from the beginning. They just had a ton of chemistry. I thought for sure Ben and Grace were not gonna make it and he’d up with Saanvi.

Obviously that prediction was way off. And then I thought, okay never gonna happen. Then the last season they start hinting at it and moving toward and it finally happens! And then. Nope nevermind. Like wtf?!

And same with Jared and Mick! Like I didn’t want them at first and I loved Zeke, but Jared was just so in love with Mick. Like he did everything for and her family. He did not falter. So the show drags me along, makes me ship it. Then in the most annoying and cliche way ever (oh I have to tell you something…oh nevermind just come check in in 8 months) break up the ship in one scene, a ship they have been building since season one. So Jared who has been completely devoted and in love with Mick is just gonna ditch her bc a woman he was having friends with benefits relationship got pregnant. Like he has one conversation with Mick about it and that’s enough to end the relationship. After one conversation this man walks out of Mick’s tent to jump straight into Drea’s. Wtf.

So I was expecting to be disappointed in the ending. But I actually think they did a decent job. I didn’t think they’d actually go back bc of Eden and Hope and all the dead people, but they made it work. And then it makes sense that they had to kill the Mick and Jared and Ben and Saanvi relationships.

But I’m still a little bitter about it.

And the TJ/Violet things was weird. Like come on. I mean having him interact w young Olive was weird too. So ig they were trying to fix that. But with Cal’s girlfriend? Damn

Also does Violet or any of the resurrected passengers know what happened? It didn’t seem like they remembered.

Everytime I read the "X-Ray" extracts I gathered for myself, I have that feeling where I have to sit down and hold my head because Ray will mention the craziest facts ever (especially the ones about Mick) and then he'll move to something else and now my autistic brain is left with the crumbs and it's trying to piece back everything and figuring out what Ray tried to mean by that, while it's 9pm and I have a headache.

Nothing can describe the way my heart shattered when Arthur asked if Dutch was going to go look for him after he was kidnapped by Colm in chapter 3- all he got was a "Oh of course, son" in the most pitiful, unassured tone of voice I'd ever heard from Dutch.

The three of them had set up a meeting point at "the fork in the road" if the O'Driscoll parlay went south, Arthur seemingly disappeared and didn't return for another day or so until he was physically crawling trying to get back to camp, and still nobody questioned where he was?

Yes, it's typical for Arthur to wander and find his own way home after missions, but the key word is AFTER. Arthur disappeared DURING the meeting and didn't regroup at the designated rendezvous point AFTERWARDS.

Especially dealing with the likes of the O'Driscolls, wouldn't that ring some kind of alarm? If not from Dutch or Micah, then wouldn't anybody else at the camp question it?

I imagine an (exaggerated) conversation like this probably happened if anyone at camp asked:

"Hey Dutch how was the meeting with the O'Driscolls?"

"It went fine we talked a bit then they left suddenly so weird"

"Where's Arthur then?"

"Oh I don't know we didn't see him after we split up for the meeting haha probably wandered off again typical Arthur"

God, if you're going to treat Arthur like the gang's workhorse, then act like you care about him at least.

Arthur is strong, but he isn't invincible.

I know I don’t really rant here about the Mandela Catalogue fandom but, y’all really had to show Alex a fucking fanfic about him.

Come on as if people already haven’t written inappropriate stuff about him and his best friend.

I know that person probably meant well when they wanted to show it or addressed the problem to Alex,but for the love of God do you think someone wants to know that some wrote a extremely fucked up fanfic about them especially, if they explained that they don’t wanna see that type of content made of of them.

This is very disappointing especially to the person who wrote that,but also showing Alex something like that also breaks his boundaries as well.

Keep in mind don’t write stuff about real people,even if the person does write something about that person don’t show the person that work especially if it’s something they don’t want to see or read.

Hey guys, I finished the first chapter of "Party in Ipanema, baby" and to be honest I'm pretty anxious and excited bc it's the first long fic that i post after a long time writing mostly nothing, I will probably post tomorrow (I'm not sure yet)... But I just wanted to explain a few things about this universe. So pls If you've ever been interested in something I've written, I want you to read this.

First, this Fanfic will take place in Brazil. Originally the plan was to write in Portuguese, and post during the Interlagos GP week but I had some problems that prevented me from posting so, here we are, I had to translate from Portuguese to English all the first chapter. I changed expressions and jokes that would only make sense in my native language so that you English speakers could understand, but I didn't change the setting because that's important for the story and for me. I also changed the nationality of some divers making them Brazilians (like lewis who has citizenship) or gave them some context for living here (like Yuki, I used the fact that he is Japanese and Brazil has the largest Japanese population outside of Japan to make him the son of immigrants.)

I'll try to explain these things better during the story, and develop them better there.

The point is, with this fanfic I want to try to have fun writing in a context that is familiar to me. I grew up here, I speak the language, and I understand the situation we are living in at the moment. I also kind of want to make people see my country as something beyond the stereotypes of crime, poverty, theft etc.

I hope you enjoy it, it was really fun writing the first chapter.

PS: The Lewis and Max Halloween one-shot it's almost ready I decided at the last minute to give a plot instead of just smut, I'm also at the end of the one shot brocedes so maybe I'll post it this month?
