Theory: The Clone X was not Cody like some people think or even Fives (I know he's been dead for a very long time but so was Boba Fett and look where we are. Plus, Echo was supposed to be certainly dead too; making him Winter Soldier-esque storyline wouldn't be that surprising) or not even Slick.
((Also, now that we've seen his face devoid of any tattoos or scars I think first two takes are definitely not applicable anymore; they wouldn't put that much effort to make him unrecognizable))
Back to the point: In my opinion, The Clone X was none other than...
Fox.
Now let me explain.
Who else, other than X, was loyal to the law and justice dictated by it over any moral or ethic code?
Fox.
Who else was portrayed with such single-minded focus on hunting down traitors of the government he served, regardless of what it was?
Fox.
Who else could know not only Coruscant so well but also identify Rex like they knew each other?
He already was a remarkably successful tracker of traitors, why not make him more efficient by pointing them out for him?
Good soldiers follow orders, after all.
#clone assassin#commander fox#star wars tbb#i know that hes got killed really early after Order in comics but i would honestly prefer him to die this way#the bad batch spoilers#commander cody#arc trooper fives#tcw slick#cc 1010#star wars#sw tbb#sw the bad batch#the bad batch season 3#tbb theory#we dont even know for sure how he looks like cause in one moment we see corries without helmets all of them have standard paintjob#idk if its just animation error but because of it we cant be 100% sure fox ever regreted it without him being shown grieving with rest#hes just taking a breath when fives is dying and personaly i see it more as him rolling his eyes that rex is being mushy with traitor#but there are 3 clones behind fox when hes shown and then the one taking off his helmet stands beside 2 others so it may actualy be it???#and if he DOES regret it imo is more in 'shame i had to do it' rather than 'shame i did it' way if you know what i mean#hes just doing his job and hes GOOD at it. not his fault that him being competent is bad for the good guys#my point is: outside of one page incomic that can be at any point made noncanon or recontextualized theres no evidence that it cant be him#they already retconed more important things. why not this?#i think its likely that in case im right we can assume that all named corries were made into CloneX#none of them appeared yet despite how much of action happens on coruscant#and only thorn died on screen; in a way preventing him from being viable option nonetheless#three hits point blank months before Order seem unlikely but theyve done weirder things so him returning wouldnt be THAT weird so uhh idk#but yeah cx-02 is tech#winter soldiering doesnt stop#i mean THIS could be fox/other corrie but it being tech is way too cliche oportunity to waste it on them (derogatory towards disney)#pls disney let corries hunt down traitors like they used to pls

OCs Jacen and Tiio
Just realized that I haven't made an actual post for my two Corrie Guard boys, and since it's OC sunday I want to fix that <3
These boys mostly show up in my Fox x Reader series but they might pop up in some other stories 🥰
Jacen and Tiio are batch mates and have been together through everything. They were very close with the other three in their squad as well, and got a reputation for having some of the highest scores in teamwork and unit cohesion.
Unfortunately their squad was sent to Geonosis for that first fateful battle, and they watched the other three in their squad fall.
Their brothers died without names, so the moment their natborn leaders started allowing clones to take nicknames, they named each other.
Their names are based off of characters from a random episode of a random soap opera their batch mate downloaded from the holonet when they were little. The five of them curling up in a supply closet to watch it without the kaminoans knowing is one of their best memories together and use their names as a way to honor their fallen brothers.
Jacen and Tiio knew that they may not be able to stay together once the war really started. Thankfully, Fox had heard of their high scores around team work and knew he wanted men like that for the Guard and personally requested they be sent to him on Coruscant.
(maybe Fox also knew how hard it would for them to lose so much so early in the war and wanted to give them a new close-knit unit to work with)
Now the two take pride in their positions in the Corrie Guard. They value their Commander's dedication to protecting others and want to embody that dedication in their own right.
Jacen embraced his individuality quickly, he has several tattoos: The symbol of the Coruscant Guard on his neck, lightning lines running down his right bicep (he misses the thunder storms on Kamino) and a matching tattoo with Tiio of a phoenix on his back, another tribute to their squad.
Jacen's personality can seem abrasive at first. He'll follow orders but does it in the most stiff, robotic way he can when they're given by someone he doesn't like (kind of a malicious compliance thing). If he thinks you treat him and his brother's well, though, he'll be very loyal to you. Once you've shown that you're trust worthy Jacen can actually be quite funny and charming.
(also, bit of a behind the scenes note: the spelling of Jacen's name is actually inspired by the old, no longer canon star wars books. Jacen was the name of one of Han and Leia's sons <3)
Tiio takes a little longer to show his individuality through his appearance. As said above, he does have a tattoo of a phoenix on his back to honor his squad mates, but other than that, he doesn't really care for tattoos personally. He does grow his hair out longer though and likes it to lay in curls around his head and down his neck.
Tiio is much more trusting than Jacen. More of the "give people a chance" rather than the "hold them at arms length" type. It takes a lot for Tiio to write you off as someone he doesn't like. However, like his brother, he becomes extra kind to those who prove they aren't assholes. He's a bit of a stickler for rules, but only because he views them as good guidelines how to avoid getting decommissioned or killed. Gets very nervous when Jacen gets snippy or mouthy with others and often tempers his brother's anger.
Tiio also adores animals, please let this man open an animal shelter, he wants to rescue them all!
I'm tagging the OC encouragement queen @commander-sunshine as well as @blueink-bluesoul and @dystopicjumpsuit since I think you two already love these two from their brief debut in the handmaiden's fox lol

Reasons Commander Fox shouldn’t be hated
This is mainly for me to use later since I have a lot of Fox haters in my TikTok comments sometimes, but I know there are still some Fox haters on here too. Leave my boy alone, y’all. Here’s why you should leave him alone.
1. The Fives Incident
Most of the hate directed at Fox is because he killed Fives. No, I don’t think Fives deserved to die, I love Fives a lot, but Fox shouldn’t be blamed for what happened. I’ll get into my personal theories in a minute, but here’s the reason Fox shouldn’t be hated, even if we’re going strictly on what we’re shown in canon. Even if Fox knew his blaster was on kill, he had no evidence to point to the fact that Fives wasn’t insane. He didn’t know Fives, so all he had to go on were reports and what Palpatine told him. From his perspective, Fives was a dangerous traitor. Palpatine told Fox to kill Fives, it’s unlikely he didn’t after that little clip of Palpatine and Fox before Fox goes to that warehouse. When Fox entered that warehouse, he could have just shot Fives from the shadows, killing him without the confrontation, but he didn’t. He gave Fives a chance to surrender instead, so he may have been trying to take Fives alive. But when Fives picked up the blaster and pointed it at Fox, after Fox told him not to pick it up, Fox didn’t have much of a choice. It was Fives or Fox and his men, especially because any motion Fox made to switch his blaster to stun may have been interpreted by Fives as a threat since Fives wasn’t in his right mind. Fox was stuck in a bad situation, and neither Fives nor Fox deserved that.
Now, I have a couple personal theories that make Fox even less in control of the situation, so I’ll get into the one I accept as the most plausible of my theories first. I believe Palpatine was in control of Fox when Fox’s squad entered the warehouse. It was likely through the inhibitor chip somehow, but Palpatine was in control of Fox and made him kill Fives. Fox doesn’t seem to be heartless toward his brothers, based on his reactions to his brothers’ deaths during the Wrong Jedi arc, so him willingly pulling the trigger on Fives seems unlikely in most circumstances. We know Palpatine would have wanted Fives dead anyway, so using Fox to do it just makes sense. The longer Fives was alive, the more likely it was that Fives would tell someone about Order 66, so Palpatine had to kill him to shut him up.
Another theory is that Palpatine simply tampered with Fox’s blaster and switched it from stun to kill before Fox left to go to the warehouse or even while Fox was on the way there, but this seems a little more unlikely. Not impossible, just unlikely.
2. The Wrong Jedi Arc
I’ve also seen people hate on Fox for what he did during the Wrong Jedi arc, and I’ll admit that younger me was mad at Fox for some of that too, but I can’t blame him for any of it now. When he refused to let Anakin in to see Ahsoka, Fox had been given an order, and disobeying that order would get him punished.
When he said to shoot to kill Ahsoka after she escaped, he gave that order as he knelt over bodies of his brothers that it looked like Ahsoka had killed. He didn’t know Ahsoka, so he wouldn’t know that Ahsoka cared about the clones too much to kill them like that. From what he knew, Ahsoka was a murderer, and had just killed some of his brothers, so of course he’s going to be upset and not want more of his brothers to be killed by her. And when Anakin gave him the order to use stun only, he obeyed, probably against his instincts. He was in a bad situation and going on what he knew, he wasn’t being heartless. He just wanted to protect his brothers and anyone else who might get hurt.
3. “He Had An Easy Job”
OKAY, LISTEN- This reason is honestly really weak, both based on canon and on my personal headcanons. First of all, Fox didn’t choose to work on Coruscant, he was assigned there, so even if his job was easy, that wasn’t his choice. Second, just because he wasn’t on the front lines doesn’t mean he had it easy. Safer, maybe in some regards, but not easy. Fox had to deal with all the chaos that went down on Coruscant daily, which was a lot. Riots, protests, the Zillo Beast, the Senate hostage debacle with Bane, and the power grid bombing are a few things that come to mind. That can’t have been easy to deal with. And we know many senators viewed the clones as little more than animals, so Fox and his men were likely verbally abused by both senators and civilians alike. That’s enough to damage anyone’s mental health and self-worth. And many of the Guards, Fox included, flinch at violent or sudden movements from non-clones. We don’t see any clones do this except for the Guard, so this leads me to believe they are physically abused as well.
I headcanon that Palpatine was cruel to the clones behind closed doors. Not just verbally, but also physically. Being a Sith, it wouldn’t surprise me if he punished clones who “failed” at something by torturing them with the Force. It wouldn’t be hard to make the clones never speak of it because they’d be afraid anyway, but Palpatine could likely just order them to forget the incident and they would have no choice but to obey because of the inhibitor chips.
The Guards’ job as a whole may have been safer, but it was certainly not easy on their mental health and self-worth.
I could probably write a lot more, but I have other stuff to do, and if you still hate Fox after reading this, idk what to tell you, but he doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets.

Do you know anything about the movie Performance 1970? If so please would you share your knowledge with us, I find the whole thing so intriguing but know nothing.
Okay I know I received this ask well over a month ago but I rewatched Performance last night and finally feel prepared to talk about it. I'm going to be separating this into two parts; behind the scenes drama and actual film discussion.
Behind the scenes drama:
Okay so the infamous drama that went down that this is known for is that Keith Richards accused Anita Pallenberg with having an affair on Mick Jagger while on set. This almost broke up The Rolling Stones (kind of like how Brian Jones wanted quiet after Anita left him for Keith) but obviously Mick and Keith were able to get over it and I believe not too long after filming Anita found out she was pregnant with her and Keith's first son Marlon. I remember reading stuff that supposedly Keith presumed that the baby might not have been his but christ that boy is Keith's clone.
However I should also mention that initially Marianne Faithfull was supposed to have Anita's role but she found out she was pregnant and had to be recasted (around that time Anita found out she was pregnant as well but decided to have an abortion so she could keep the role - I'm not shaming, actually good for her! there is no such thing as a bad reason to get an abortion!). But I still can't believe Mick cheated on a pregnant Marianne, I know he horribly cheated on everyone he had ever been with but christ Mick, have a little integrity for once in your life! But that same man also cheated on Bianca Jagger so yeah, he's an idiot.
I would also like to add this film was shot in 1968 and I can't imagine how ahead of its time this would have been but Warner Bros execs were apparently incredibly grossed out by the film, in particular the disgusting and filthy conditions of the bathtub that the 'women' (word used in what I read despite the fact Mick Jagger is in that tub as well) were all bathing in. Honestly the filth is what makes the film so much more real and interesting compared to a lot of other psychedelic films from around that time.
The soundtrack for the film was meant to be done by The Rolling Stones as a whole but due to the affair Keith was not interested in doing that and that was when Brian was going through his breakdown after his second drug bust.... so no score from them :( but it's still an amazing score but there are bits that sound, and forgive me if this makes no sense, that sound very Brian Jones-ish. There are aspects of that score that remind me of his contributions, the songs that he had a big part in composing, and even the A Degree of Murder score. I don't necessarily think they were trying to rip him off, I honestly think it helps add to the whole idea that Mick's character Turner is inspired by Brian (and having seen this film 3x I feel like I can see more and more of him in Turner with just a little hint of Keith for balance).
This is a little more silly and I have pointed it out on my blog before but you can see the kaftan Brian wears at the Rock and Roll Circus on one of the clothing racks in the film (also there are behind the scenes photos of Anita wearing it - probably because it's hers and Brian most likely stole it) Here are comparisons:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder if it was revenge for the amount of clothes Anita took from Brian after their big break up... but that's not important. Now onto the film itself.
Film discussion (Spoilers obviously):
I can honestly say I needed the three watches to be able to understand this. I was completely confused the first time around (did not help I took like 3 gummy edibles and it was the second time I had done that... the sound became distorted in parts and the screen was spinning lol) but I still loved what I watched and specifically remember absolutely loving Mick's performance (still one of my favorites) but there are so many layers to this - everyone always seems to hyper focus on the drug aspect and rarely on the sexuality and gender parts of the film. Obviously drugs are a big part of the film - I believe it was one of the film's directors who stated that Performance was made to be a pro-drug film (which is hilarious). But if that was all the film was then it would have been another forgettable psychedelic film much like The Trip (1967) or Psych-Out (1968) (though I do suggest Psych-Out! I love that film) but it goes much deeper than those films do.
With the drug aspect, I like how the psychedelic, tripping scenes weren't like how the other films did it with bright colorful spinning lights all over the place but instead with a kind of ugly sequence that goes straight to the brain - because that's what drugs do, you're not going somewhere else you are entering your own mind. And Chaz, the film's protagonist played by James Fox, sees in his drugged out state Mick Jagger as the role of his boss making references to his sexuality in a sly way while making all of Chaz's associates strip naked. It's all scored to Mick Jagger's song 'Memo from Turner' (love, love, love this song by the way).
Throughout the film the idea of performing comes up a lot (duh it's the title of the film) but specifically the concept of presenting yourself in such a way that it appeases those around you. In Chaz's case it's shown in the film that his whole persona is a performance, that his toxic masculinity and heterosexuality are not really him. That he over emphasizes his attraction to women because that is what he is meant to be but his true self slips in every once in a while, the main visual I remember is his wall covered in nude photos of women but there also being a few photos of boxers that are in great shape and only wearing shorts. There is a character, Joey, that enters the film who has some kind of a past friendship with Chaz but it clearly went horribly wrong as Chaz's boss does not want him to speak to him. But Chaz disobeys and ends up pissing off Joey so he retaliates by destroying Chaz's apartment with red paint (including the word 'poof' written on the wall), beating the crap out of him, humiliating him and trying to get him to admit to his sexuality. He ultimately kills Joey instead because he would rather be a murderer than admit to who he really is.
Chaz and Turner have an interesting relationship to say the least. Chaz, on one hand, seems to be rather uncomfortable by the 'bohemian' lifestyle that Turner and his two girlfriends, Pherber (Anita Pallenberg) and Lucy (Michele Breton), live. Turner and Pherber take it upon themselves to expand Chaz's mind themselves by 1) trying to get him to dress more femininely and trying to get him to admit that it's perfectly fine to feel like you are a woman sometimes (with reference that neither Turner or Pherber fully identify as either man or woman entirely) and 2) drugging him with hallucinogenic mushrooms leading to the musical sequence featuring Turner.
The film implies throughout that Chaz and Turner have some form of an interest in one another, whether it be platonic, sexual, or romantic I think is more up to the viewer (though I would not say it's platonic...) The scene that gets to me while watching is towards the end, Chaz wakes up and find Turner in his bedroom than it cuts to the two of them in bed together and they embrace but then it cuts to reveal that it isn't actually Turner but Lucy (who Chaz thinks kind of looks more like a younger boy than a woman). He does like Lucy but there is a clear sentiment throughout that he wishes it was Turner who did come to his room. Even Turner seems kind of mad that he let Lucy go down to talk to Chaz when initially he wanted to be the one to do that.
In the end when Chaz is forced to leave because his boss finally found him, he makes one final goodbye to Turner (and Pherber) but Turner is insistent that he join him. Turner represents so much to Chaz, he represents what Chaz secretly wishes to be; completely open with his sexuality and gender and not caring if anyone is uncomfortable by it while also being clearly attracted to Turner as well. But Chaz is confused by everything going on (and he has a limited amount of time before he has to leave) and decides the only way he could be happy now is to become Turner. So he kills Turner, there is a quick shot of going through the bullet hole into his mind (similar to the tripping out scenes) and Chaz leaves. The film's ending is Chaz, now played by Mick Jagger, leaving in a car with his boss.
I must admit it took me until this third time watching to fully grasp the ending. Chaz is sick and tired of performing for everyone (i.e. being a masculine, heterosexual man) and the only way to stop that performance is to put on a new performance and become Turner (i.e. androgynous and non-heterosexual) because I don't think he can ever truly be himself. The whole film is everyone trying to get Chaz to be the real him but that's the last thing he could ever want. He'd rather place all these affectations on himself and play a role instead. It's just now this new performance is more aligned with his 'true' identity but nonetheless it's still a performance.

——————————————————————————————
Summary:  When Tup murdered General Tiplar during a battle, Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex dispatched Ahsoka, Fives, and Yara to solve the mystery that was plaguing the Clone Army. Meanwhile, Senator Padme Amidala contacted Commander Fox, Commander Tori, Riyo Chuchi, and Dipper to help her continue investigating the death of Palpatine, suspecting that Dooku was behind the evil plot. But when Dooku send an ISB agent to stop them, the team had to race against time to search for the truth, which could alter the course of the galaxy.
————————————————————————————
With their hands cuffed, Odd Eye could only blink towards the soggy ground as Tarot and Mina were sitting beside her, not saying a single word. “So, what do we do now?” Mina asked, trying to wrangle herself free. “How do we get out of here?”
The commander of the 666th Battalion turned towards Tarot with a stony expression on her face. “Can you shuffle the cards for us?”
Tarot turned to the other Mina, gesturing towards his utility belt. “Could you help me get my tarot cards? I don’t think I can reach them with those handcuffs around me.”
“Seriously?” the other Mina rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. “You were given two hands and a brain. At least utilise it.”
“I’ll give you a reading if you take my tarot cards for me.”
“Yes, vod,” she gave a nod, as she looked left and right and reached for his pocket, slowly taking out the deck of cards with her hands. As she handed it to him, Tarot glanced at Odd Eye, smiling. “So, what questions do you have for me, Commander?”
“Will we get out of this situation?” Odd Eye asked the deck, hoping she would get a yes as an answer.
He shuffled the cards for her, provoking no form of attention from the battle droids. They may have gotten hold of their blaster, but they will never take away his treasured possession that his late general had gifted.
As he finished shuffling the cards, he pulled out the Temperance card from the deck, which made him frown. “Oh dear,” Tarot bared his teeth. “I’m afraid I have bad news for you.”
She breathed in frustration. “Seriously? We’re not getting out of here? Did you even shuffle the cards properly?”
“Of course I did, commander,” Tarot insisted. “I’ve been doing readings for the entire battalion for years and I have never been wrong in my entire career, ever.”
“Entire career, my ass. No one has ever paid you to do a reading for them.”
“Well, I’m planning to become a professional tarot reader once the war is over. Besides, I could earn a lot of money for predicting other people’s future, you know.”
“The only thing you’re always fixated on is your future,” Odd Eye raised her voice. “Right now, we’re being captured by the Imps and that’s the only thing running in your head right now? How do you become an ARC Trooper with that kind of attitude?”
“Okay guys, let’s not argue too much,” Erina stepped in between them, squeezing both their hands. “Right now, we’ll have to think of a way to get ourselves out of this sticky situation. Can we work on this together?”
Before Odd Eye and Tarot could answer their general, two battle droids approached them, pointing their weapons in front of their faces. “Silence, Republic dogs, or we’ll shoot.”
The former could only smirk as she glanced at them, before pouncing on one droid and disarmed it, shooting both the droids with agility. Erina was speechless as watched the commander freed herself, before the latter tossed a blaster towards her. “What are you waiting for? This is our chance to take them down. Come on.”
“You’re insane,” the general remarked, as she shifted her focus towards Raul, who was trembling to himself. Pulling the trigger, she shot her partner’s handcuffs, making him exclaim through his throat.
“Makers, Eri. You could have killed me.”
“Just be grateful that you can fight. Now don’t just stand there. Grab something and fight those Imperial scum, goddamit.”
“Yes, dear,” Raul saluted as he jumped on a droid and stomped its head, snatching a blaster from its hands. The Imperials opened fire towards the clones, but the latter fought back with their combined strength and their brains, taking them down like what they did in their training simulation.
Mina got back her twin pistols and took down the Super Battle Droids, before moving on with the B1 units. Nygma and Beetle, on the other hand, collected some explosives from the droid’s camp and tossed them towards an army, making the ground shatter.
Watching the battle, Faven’s legs were shaking as Hyewon unlocked her handcuffs with a safety pin, before doing the same for Boil and Faven. “We should join the party,” the purple-haired clone gestured. “Come on, guys.”
“When did you learn how to pick locks?” Boil asked her. “I don’t even know how to do that.”
“I learned it from an escaped artist. He failed to escape from prison, though.”
“How ironic,” Faven snorted, tossing their weapons towards them. “But we have a job to finish and we don’t have time to loiter around like.”
The two of them nodded and joined the battle, gunning down their enemies swiftly. The droid army had called for reinforcement at their camp, but Boil could not care, for he was determined to win this minor battle. He was humiliated for getting ambushed by the Empire, and now, he is getting his sweet revenge against them.
“Hey, you three,” Mina pointed her fingers at Faven, Boil, and Faven. “Don’t just stand there and shoot. I need you all to sabotage their tanks right now. We need to everything we can to cripple those scumbags. Got it?”
“Yes, general,” Hyewon acknowledged, looking at her siblings. “How the fuck are we going to do that? We won’t even last for two seconds.”
“It’s easy,” Faven picked up three bombs from the box they carried moments ago. “We run towards them, plant them on the bottom of the tank, and run for safety. Understood?”
“I won’t fail you, pal.”
“That’s the spirit,” Boil cheered them up, as they brave themselves through the crossfire, avoiding every blast as they could.
Hyewon shielded herself from the attacks with her arms while Faven blasted the droids while running in the dark, hoping she could knock on a tree and die instantly. Meanwhile, Boil kept on sprinting towards the first tank, without looking back.
“I won,” he laughed, much to Faven’s exasperation.
“Not everything is a game, you know. For all we know, someone could die right now.”
“I love this game,” Hyewon smiled underneath her helmet, as she threw a bomb on the second tank, before winking at the former. “You can do it, Fav.”
She could only roll her eyes as she was the last one to finish her task given by the commander. Ducking behind the tree for safety, Faven covered her ears as three of the tanks blew up, sweeping away most of the droid army.
“Take that, you motherfucking clankers,” Boil screamed in joy as Hyewon cheered in a high-pitched voice.
“That is one hell of an explosion,” she bellowed. “I’ve never had this much fun since I beat someone in a poker game.”
But they spoke too soon. As the trio helped each other up, they were surrounded with reinforcements from the Imperials, prompting them to raise their hands in the air.
“Looks like we spoke too soon,” Faven said, deadpanned, as they were led back to the 666th and the 197th Battalion, who were forced to surrender.
Odd Eye stretched her lips wide, realising that she had to lose to the droid army for the second time in one day. “I can’t believe your deck is accurate.”
“I’m sorry, commander,” Tarot apologised. “Sometimes, I can’t always control the answers shown on my cards.”
“Looks like the concentration camps seem fun,” Raul showed his optimism, making Erina roll her eyes.
“You have to work to death in a concentration camp till you die, Raul. It’s not a delightful spot for vacation.”
“We shared the same blanket and you still can’t tell the difference between my normal voice and my sarcastic voice?” the general gasped dramatically. “That’s just absurd.”
“Are you using my words against me?”
“Well, I mean, you said that to me first, so it’s only fair if I-“
“Quiet, you too,” the B1 commanded. “Or we’ll shoot.”
Mina sighed in defeat when she watched the droid commander taken down, prompting her to turn around. The remaining members of the  212th Attack Battalion and the Coruscant Guards had arrived, with General Obi-Wan Kenobi And Commander Thire leading.
“My apologies for being late,” Obi-Wan greeted, as his troops moved into an attack position. “We were held back by the enemies on the beachfront.”
“No worries, General Kenobi,” smiled Erina. “You made it just in time.”
“Alright soldiers, let’s finish this battle and call it a day,” the soft-spoken Jedi ordered.
“Right away, sir,” Cody bobbed his head as they fired at the droids, sparing no one.

Re the BTD recap: "the prose is still incredibly messy in places" "To be frank, it’s not that I think this is all particularly good… just not particularly bad either." If it's not too much trouble, can I get some concrete examples for why? I feel like I often don't notice this sort of thing, so I want to know what I'm missing. Might help me to be a better writer.
Challenging request, anon! :D I feel like I need a few disclaimers here:
The book is serviceable. It’s just not going to be winning any awards. Talking about how the prose and dialogue can be better isn’t meant to translate to, “This is the worst thing ever written.” Because it’s not.
This is very much a pot calling the kettle black situation. Anyone here has the capability of hopping onto AO3, finding a horribly written passage of my own, and shaking it in my virtual face. So this is likewise not intended to be me standing atop a pedestal going, “Anyone - myself included - could do better.” I often can’t do better because writing is hard.
I’m not a creative writing instructor, thus it’s often difficult for me to articulate why I think a piece of literature doesn’t read well. If you’ve ever, say, come out of a movie with a strong sense of it not being “good” but can’t easily explain why it failed? It’s similar to that. By consuming lots of media we get a sense of “quality” over “badly written” that then informs our reactions to new texts, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to boil that response down to, “See here on page 3? They shouldn’t have done this. Fix that and it’s ‘good’ now.”
Nevertheless, let’s try. I’ll take a passage from the prologue where Sun is facing off against these “goons”
Two glowing clones of Sun flared into existence, one facing Pink and the second squaring off against Green. That left Brown—whom he figured was both the leader of the group and the most dangerous. Why? Because he was hiding the most.
Brown slashed a hand toward Sun. “Take him.”
“Which one?” Green asked.
“The real one,” Pink said. “These are just flashy illusions.”
Sun directed one of his clones to punch Pink in the face.
She blinked and looked more annoyed than hurt.
“That’s no illusion!” Green reached for clone Two.
Sun’s clones were physical manifestations of his Aura, every bit as capable of inflicting damage as he was. But it could be difficult to control them, especially while he was fighting. They were better suited to giving him the element of surprise, extra pairs of hands, or emergency backup when he needed it.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t sustain them long, and they couldn’t take much damage, as they drew Aura from Sun himself. If he kept them going too long, or tried to create too many clones, it usually weakened the Aura shield protecting him. But he’d improved a lot with training, and his Semblance was a lot stronger than it used to be.
Sun whipped out his gunchucks, Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang, spinning them as he and Brown circled each other slowly. At the same time, Sun was fighting Pink and Green through his clones. Pink was some kind of boxer, dancing around and jabbing with her fists, which One was managing to block. Meanwhile, Green was trying to grab Two and wrestle him to the ground.
Brown had some kind of martial arts training similar to Sun’s—but he wasn’t nearly as good. Sun leaned back as Brown did a high roundhouse kick; he felt a breeze as his opponent’s booted foot swept past his nose with a lot of power behind it. Sun flicked his right gunchuck to loop it around Brown’s ankle and pulled him out of his stance, hitting him with the closed gunchuck in his left hand. The man took the full blow, but it didn’t even faze him.
Now let’s break down some of the reasons why this passage doesn’t work for me. I’ll work chronologically.
As mentioned in the recap, it’s rather awkward for a PoV character to ask and answer their own questions. Especially when they’re not presented as literal thoughts. The “Why? Because...” takes me right out of the story. It suddenly sounds like I’m attending a lecture or reading an article. Sun believes X. Why does he believe this? Because of Y evidence.
The dialogue is clunky. This problem is admittedly more obvious at other points, but there are a lot of moments where it doesn’t feel like this is a natural thing someone would think or say. Which again, is really hard to write. How people speak is quite different from how we think they speak and finding a balance between that (eliminating most pauses like “um” or “like” that would be too frustrating to read, giving characters more flowery language to serve the story’s goals even if it’s not realistic, etc.) is hard to nail. Here, Sun is often thinking things that don’t sound l like an actual thought in a panicked teen’s head.
Oh crap, Sun thought. I’m losing. How am I actually losing?
It just sounds like exposition. The reader needs to know that Sun is losing! So Sun will tell them that.
The villains, so far, are a bit too cartoony for me.
“You got lucky, monkeyboy,” Green said as he walked off, his companions following him through the cloud of foul vapor. “This time.”
Which is admittedly a matter of taste and does have some justification given RWBY’s early writing (think Roman). Still, it’s hard to take lines like this seriously, especially when we just had the group making fun of Velvet for cheesy quips. But the villain’s quips are supposed to read as daunting?
Connected to Sun’s thought above, there is a lot of telling rather than showing throughout. For example: “She blinked and looked more annoyed than hurt.” There are ways of showing the reader that Pink is annoyed (indeed, just leaving it at “She blinked” would have gotten the point across) rather than resorting to, “She looked ___”. Another good example would be “ Sun leaned back as Brown did a high roundhouse kick; he felt a breeze as his opponent’s booted foot swept past his nose with a lot of power behind it.” You don’t need to reassure the reader that there was “a lot of power behind it.” The action itself - feeling a breeze, his boot passing close to his nose - conveys that on its own.
To be clear, telling isn’t something you can’t ever do (break those writing rules!!) especially when sometimes you just want to be clear/convey something succinctly, but it is something to keep in mind. It’s another balancing act. Too much telling and the reader feels like they’re just being told a list of things to believe. Too much showing and it feels like the writer is trying too hard to make everything detailed, exciting, etc. Still, a good writer is going to be able to convey everything (Sun losing a fight, annoyance, a powerful kick) without feeling the need to remind the reader of things every few lines, “This is what’s happening. Don’t get confused!”
After the fight starts we immediately get a two paragraph info-dump about Sun’s semblance. How it works, what his limitations are, and what that means for this fight. Again, show that! We’ve just started an action sequence. The fight is underway. The reader doesn’t want to get pulled out of the action for another lecture. Rather than hitting pause on the fun stuff to explain things, create scenarios where these details become relevant and can be shown to the reader. Right now we don’t care what Sun’s limitations are unless those limitations become important.
We get another announcement in the form of “[Brown] wasn’t nearly as good [as Sun]” instead of (again) showing us that. Indeed, as I mention in the recap all the action that comes next contradicts this. So where did this assertion come from? If Sun knows that Brown uses a martial arts style similar to his then theoretically they’ve been fighting for at least a few seconds... but the reader doesn’t get to see that. Meyers was too busy telling us about Sun’s semblance.
Finally, there are pockets of Meyer’s writing that are all roughly the same. Meaning, sentences have little variety to them. This isn’t a consistent problem (and it’s certainly not the worst example I’ve seen of this) but on the whole he could use a more engaging flow to his work, both in terms of sentence length and balance among actions, dialogue, descriptions, and thoughts. Otherwise you get prose that reads, “This happened. Then this happened. This happened next. See the length? It’s all the same. Very little changes. And the reader gets bored.” Again, not a consistent problem, but one he should keep working on.
There are a number of other, smaller issues that are beginning to pop up. Such as the in parentheses pronunciation of the teams’ names, or the overuse of “he sent” whenever Fox communicates telepathically. In contrast, there are things about the writing that I’ve enjoyed. There are moments of dialogue - such as Fox’s joke in Chapter One, or how Sun’s instructions to “find Shade” literally refer to the school but also remind the reader that shade, in such a hot environment, is crucial - that I think are worth pointing to and going, “Yeah. That was a nice touch.” Overall though? It’s that, “I just came out of a bad movie” feeling. There’s too much clunkiness throughout. The writing often lacks variety or feels absurd. I’m taken out of the story more often than I fall into it. Is it the worst thing I’ve ever read? Far from it, but fans aren’t wrong when they say things like, “I’ve read better fic than this professional story.”

Smash Bros. Character Merit - Sonic the Hedgehog
Quick Disclaimer: I’m not very confident in any 3rd Party franchise getting a 2nd rep. But being the Sonic fan I am, I thought I’d give a specific section for this should it happen. I don’t think it’s the unlikeliest thing in the world as I’ll explain. But I doubt it comes anytime soon.
Miles "Tails" Prower
My Level of Want
If you didn't already know, Tails was who I voted for in the Smash Ballot. Perhaps it's a little greedy for me to suggest a 2nd Sonic rep over some Nintendo characters that could use some love. But when it comes to the one character I want most in Smash now that Sonic has already made it. Tails is it. Though a bit of a disclaimer, I won't be disappointed one way or another if Tails doesn't make the cut. Cause Sonic was already that dream inclusion fulfilled for me. Every new character that'd made it in Smash that I happen to like since Sonic got in is equivalent to whip cream on my glorious ice cream sundae. But Tails would be the sweet, sweet, sweet cherry on top. Tails is just my favorite Sonic character, and he just happens to be the franchise's equivalent of what Luigi is to Mario. Perhaps he's not treated or even portrayed as well as that nowadays but you'd be pretty hard pressed to suggest that someone else deserves the title of Sonic's Luigi. And what I mean by Luigi, as in the other character that often pops up in your head whenever you hear the franchise's name. The main character always pops in your head behind them, but not far behind them you usually imagine their sidekick, brother, or whichever role the player 2 character plays as right besides them running through the levels. When I think Sonic, I picture Sonic running through levels at a fast pace with his buddy Tails close behind. They're just one of the most iconic duos in gaming and despite being what would be another Sonic rep at face value, I count Tails as much of an icon of gaming as any. There would be naysayers if it were to happen, but Tails is absolutely the most iconic choice for another Sonic rep in Smash. It would absolutely make my entire life to see a Sonic & Tails Vs. Mario & Luigi battle be possible in Smash Bros. It's just one of those things I could die happy knowing that I got to see happen.
Estimated Chance
Sorry if that got a little gush-heavy over my most wanted character. But it's time to delve into a little reality. I'm not confident in it happening much at all, and I'm ok with that. As much as I said things about dying happy about it. Sonic being in Smash in general is also kind of already that. I don't think it's an impossibility, despite the ups and downs over the years the Sonic franchise is still one of the most popular franchises out there and as such the Sonic franchise would be the one to break the mold should they decide to break the only one character per 3rd Party franchise rule. For that to happen a character should have have to be arguably just as iconic to gaming as the main character and I think Tails fulfills that well enough. It might not be quite enough right now but should they look at it by the time Smash 6 (Or again 7, if you're like Sakurai) rolls around that he'll become an ever stronger possibility as Sonic would have a strong foothold in the series. I can keep my two fingers crossed for the two tailed fox. But I'm certainly not going to count on it. I understand that other companies' reps would probably provide more diversity and not everyone wants one of Sonic's "annoying friends" in Smash. So Tails isn't impossible but he's nowhere near a strong possibility. But if it ever happens, it'd be the one character that would probably put me in Etika-was-shown-Mewtwo-DLC kind of excitement
Main Game or DLC?
DLC is the only way this happens at all. It might also provide a little bit of a compromise that don't want any more Sonic characters in the game. If you wouldn't like Tails in Smash, then don't buy him.
Dr. Eggman
My Level of Want
If Tails can't make it, then Eggman would probably be the next best thing. And probably more neutrally accepted even amongst those that aren't big fans of the Sonic franchise if it were to happen since Eggman isn't one of Sonic's "annoying friends". I think the only problem might be a bit more difficulty on deciding how he'd fight. Best I could think of is something akin to Bowser Jr. only bigger, heavier. And in the Egg Mobile with obviously a different toolset. It'd be absolutely fun though to have Mike Pollock record lines for Smash as he's an absolute blast as Eggman. I do think it'd be more fitting if say they ever included a Sonic related Boss rather then as the 2nd Sonic character. But I certainly wouldn't complain.
Estimated Chance
3rd Party franchises getting 2nd reps are going to be quite low in chance. Once we hit the DLC period though anything goes. So who really knows. As for Eggman himself's chances of being the character to break that rule. Not to sound biased but I think Tails out prioritizes him for a few reasons. Maybe even Knuckles before Eggman too. Not that I think Tails is that much more likely (I'll be covering that next actually) But we did get Luigi in Smash before Bowser. You could say that was because Luigi was easier to make because he was more of a clone of Mario back in Smash 64. But you have to think that when it comes to 2nd reps, the iconic 2nd player and/or sidekick tends to get in over the main villain. Even if the Mario example isn't enough. Reminder that we still don't have K. Rool but we've had Diddy since Brawl. As I said earlier I'd rather Eggman represented as a boss should the Sonic series ever include one for any reason. It'd be fun to fight him with all the different characters that way.
Main Game or DLC?

Knuckles
My Level of Want
I do like Knuckles a lot and if there was room for 3 Sonic characters I might get behind him more. But as is when it’s doubtful if we even get more then just Sonic, Knuckles isn’t a priority to me personally like Tails is. Sonic & Tails is a really iconic duo of gaming. Knuckles is less so. Mainly people want Knuckles because they view him as a more “cooler” or more viable as a fighter despite Tails having been in Sonic fighting games before too. Still, I would feel it’d be like getting Wario before we got Luigi. Wario is more fit for fighting then the “coward” Luigi and is an iconic character of the Mario franchise in his own right. But he isn’t famous Player 2/Sidekick status like Tails is
Estimated Chance
Knuckles only gets chosen if Sakurai feels a character more well known for seeming like someone to fight over should be prioritized over someone that’s been in there longer whether it’s Tails or Eggman he would be picked over. And I don’t think Sakurai has ever gone that way with anyone. In my dreams, Sonic would get 5 reps to make all the Sonic fans happy. Get Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and Shadow in there to appease all the Sonic fan wishes. But I know that only happens if Sega was bought out by Nintendo. And understand that’d be incredibly greedy in a game that’s supposed to be mostly Nintendo
Main Game or DLC?

Shadow
My Level of Want
First I want to say, that Sonic Adventure 2 is still my favorite Sonic game in the franchise. It’s what introduced me to Sonic, I have a lot of fun whenever I go back to play the game and one of my biggest wants for Sonic is a game going back to the Adventure formula that is streamlined for modern audiences. I understand the big complaint with the Adventure games is they haven’t aged that well, but that’s why a modern game with the adventure-style that’s cleaned up to the expectations of modern game could be a good idea for the Sonic franchise to take. My biggest hope is a kind of Sonic Odyssey where like what that game did rediscovered the gameplay of Super Mario 64 and cleaned it up for a new game that most people enjoy a lot. However, despite my love for SA2 there’s one character that made his big debut that’s been a pretty controversial subject. I do first want to say that I did like Shadow a lot… but pretty much only in SA2. He was a perfectly fine character in that game and a good foil for Sonic with an interesting past. And it quickly made him one of the most popular Sonic characters. Unfortunately, Sega took that popularity the wrong way and they forced him back into as many games as possible. At first Shadow returning wasn’t so bad, Heroes implied the Shadow in that game wasn’t even the same Shadow from SA2. Simply a clone that Engman created. But the Shadow the Hedgehog game retcons that. The Shadow in games past SA2 is indeed the same Shadow who somehow got rescued by Engman’s robots on his plunge down to Earth. For the exception of Sonic Battle, every game that’s not Sonic Adventure 2 has him just as one of the most polarizing characters in all of gaming. He has diehard fans that have supported him since SA2 and won’t ever shake off their love for him. But he’s also somewhat become a bit of a scapegoat for hate on why the 3D Sonic games fell as hard as they did. His story bringing too much of the franchise trying to take itself seriously as well as basically the poster child for the edgy meme when it comes to video game characters. He has reasons why he’s very popular, but he also has just as many reasons if not more on why people would utterly despise his inclusion from both the Sonic fanbase and outside of it. Combine that with the fact there’d probably be similar disdain on the level Dark Pit got, and Shadow’s inclusion would be one day where every single Smash Bros. discussion is simply filled with anger.
Estimated Chance
Shadow’s popularity probably at least had him score among the highest out of Sonic characters in the ballot if not the highest. But I still think Sakurai would choose a more classic character anyway. Shadow’s done fine enough in the Assist Trophy role. Let him stay there.

With actors having such busy lives, as they go from film sets to jet-setting around the world for press junkets, it seems like they barely get a minute to themselves. However, of the little spare time they do get, there are a surprising amount of actors who choose to use that time playing World of Warcraft, Halo, or any other first-person shooter or sports game.
RELATED: 5 NES Games That Stood The Test Of Time (& 5 That Didn't)
Some actors will even go to extreme lengths in order to play their favorite games. Whether it’s disappearing off the face of the Earth and moving to South Africa or starting a gaming podcast, these actors will do just about anything so they can be left alone and pick up the DualShock.
10 Matthew Perry
Tumblr media
With Matthew Perry throwing himself into the role of Chandler in Friends, the two are very much the same, as they have both shown a passion for video games in the past.
Perry’s favorite games are the Fallout series, as he’s said that he once got carpal tunnel from playing it so much, and when he appeared on Ellen 11 years, ago he presented the talk show host with her own copy of one of the games. And there are even images out there of him and Snoop Dogg playing games together.
9 Will Arnett
Tumblr media
Will Arnett has said himself that he’s a gamer at heart, and he loves the communal experience of it more than anything, as he’s often playing multiplayer games online on Xbox Live.
The Arrested Development actor plays mostly sports games and first-person shooters, as he’s a big fan of the FIFA series and Call of Duty. Being such a fan of video-games, Arnett actually had his own podcast called Game Chat, in which he invited other famous gamers as guests on the show.
8 Vin Diesel
Tumblr media
Not only does the Fast & Furious series have a video-game series of its own, but Vin Diesel got his very own video game in 2009. Wheelman was marketed almost as if it was a movie. Diesel's name is on the box and the big selling point was how action movie-like the game played.
RELATED: 10 Video Game Adaptations Of Movies That Were Released Decades Later
He wasn’t so invested in the game just because it was another money maker, but because the actor actually has an adoration for video games. But more than any racing game, shoot-em-up, or even any console game for that matter, Vin Diesel is more of a tabletop gamer, as he loves Dungeons and Dragons.
7 Jamie Lee Curtis
Tumblr media
Being possibly the biggest gamer of the lot, Jamie Lee Curtis has been extremely active in the gaming community ever since her son introduced her to Street Fighter. The actress famous for Halloween, Trading Places, and True Lies is obsessed with League of Legends and loves the fan worship aspect of it all.
She has also been known to cosplay as her favorite video-game characters and has even auctions off props from her movies to raise money for Twin Galaxies - her company that is attempting to legitimize eSports.
6 Samuel L. Jackson
Tumblr media
Samuel L. Jackson has loved video-games for a good few decades. On many occasions, he’s mentioned how much he loves Pong and has an obsession with sports games too (although the latter might a joke).
Jackson is more involved in the video-game world than just playing them, as he’s one of the famous people who voiced a character in Grand Theft Auto: corrupt cop Officer Frank Tenpenny. On top of that, his likeness is even an unlockable skin in Fortnite and he hosted the E3 gaming convention in 2019, and the VGAs on several occasions too.
5 Daniel Craig
Tumblr media
It’s hard to believe that Daniel Craig is a big gamer, considering how serious and mannered he comes across both in movies and in everyday life. However, not only has he lent his likeness and voice to a couple of them, but he loves playing them too.
Craig has said that if he wasn’t so busy, he would waste his life away playing video games noted that his favorite ones are those with detailed storylines. In an alternate reality, he would have made a great Nathan Drake in the Uncharted adaptation or even a great Sully.
4 Megan Fox
Tumblr media
It’s no secret how much of a gamer Megan Fox is, as she’s always been excited to chat about her love of playing Halo: Reach online. And she told Collider, other gamers online would make fun of her username without actually knowing that it was her behind the controller.
RELATED: The 10 First-Ever Video Game Movies, Ranked (According To IMDb)
She even expressed not just interest but demanded that she play Kitana if there was ever a Mortal Kombat reboot back in 2016. And with the reboot getting released later this year, Fox is unfortunately absent. However, it’s clear that only Martial arts experts were cast.
3 Michael Fassbender
Tumblr media
With so many Assassin’s Creed games that revolve around a rich concept with some spectacularly cinematic locations, it was only a matter of time until the hugely popular game series was adapted for the big screen.
In it, Michael Fassbender plays the main role, and though he has admitted to never having played the series before being cast in the movie, the actor confessed to being a huge gamer.
Though he has calmed down in recent years, as he said that he found himself up at 8:30am still playing, Fassbender was always into racing games. However, after being cast in Assassin’s Creed, he has since become a fan of the games.
2 Dave Chapelle
Tumblr media
After Chappelle’s Show came to an abrupt end, the actor and comedian reportedly dealt with the grieving process by playing a ton of World of Warcraft. The actor even left LA and moved to a remote location in South Africa so he could play it in peace.
And though it’s a far cry from World of Warcraft, the comedian was even in talks to write the Grand Theft Auto-clone Saints Row for THQ. The developer wanted to take a “Dave Chappelle approach,” but when in talks with him, Chappelle apparently wanted too much control over the final product.
1 Mila Kunis
Tumblr media
Besides starring in so many romantic comedies, Mila Kunis has revealed that is a massive gamer. The Family Guy star was introduced to the video-game world by her former boyfriend, Macaulay Caulkin.
The actress has confessed to being a huge fan of both Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, as she was a member of a ton of different WoW guilds. However, she has since given up talking to other gamers as one of them recognized her voice.

Everything about the first Star Wars real series
Although the Star Wars universe now houses several animation series, the implementation of a live action series has always been doomed to fail. As early as the late 2000s, George Lucas was working on a corresponding project, of which over 50 screenplays are said to exist.
However, another decade passed before the Star Wars real series under Disney finally took shape. With the local start of Disney + on March 24, 2020, the first season of now awaits us The Mandalorian in Germany. We have put together what you need to know about this for you below.
When does The Mandalorian play? What is the plot about?
The Mandalorian is five years after the events of Return of the Jedi settled and thus plays after the collapse of the empire. However, no story of an already known figure is told.
Instead, after the adventures of Jango and Boba Fett, The Mandalorian brings to the fore a new warrior who is described as a lone gunslinger and is said to be at the edge of the galaxy. It is played by Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Accordingly, The Mandalorian takes us into a world where customers of the new republic have not yet arrived. This is where the shady and outcast forms of the Star Wars universe do business.
Who is part of the cast for Season 1 of The Mandalorian?
The Cast by The Mandalorian is truly remarkable. In addition to established names from the series business, there are also some outliers with which no one would have expected to announce the series – above all the legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog. The list of all cast members of The Mandalorian is as follows:
Who makes the first Star Wars real series The Mandalorian?
While The Mandalorian relies on the world and characters created by George Lucas, Lucasfilm announced in March 2018 that Jon Favreau the Produce and write Star Wars real series becomes. This is not an unknown face at Disney.
On the contrary: as director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2, he laid the cornerstone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has remained loyal to it to this day as an actor. He also knows about live action adaptations.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
The Jungle Book and The Lion King have appeared as Disney blockbusters in his filmography. In addition to Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian is overseen by Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Colin Wilson as executive producers and Karen Gilchrist as a co-producer.
Who is staging the first season of The Mandalorian?
Five exciting directors Lucasfilm was able to win season 1 of The Mandalorian. First there would be the one that also produces Dave Filoni, who most recently acted as the creative mind behind the animation series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance and is now allowed to stage the series launch.
He is then supported by Thor 3 director Taika Waititi and Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howardwho, as a director, has various short films and one segment in an episode film. The round is completed by Deborah Chow and Rick Famuyiwa.
While Chow was able to gain extensive experience in large series productions with her participation in series such as Better Call Saul, Jessica Jones and Lost in Space, Famuyiwa landed a real indie hit with his Sundance film Dope before he released the pilot episode of the acclaimed Showtime- The Chi series.
Who is composing the soundtrack for Season 1 of The Mandalorian?
John Williams is no longer the only composer in the Star Wars universe. Although his themes shaped the franchise and are used again and again, previous anthology films have shown that other composers could also write great Star Wars soundtracks.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Michael Giacchino's compositions turned Rogue One: A Star Wars Story into a roller coaster ride of emotions, while Patrick Doyle provided exciting tones in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The Mandalorian score is now from Ludwig Göransson, responsible for the film music of Creed – Rocky's Legacy, Black Panther and Venom.
What would George Lucas' Star Wars real series have looked like?
As mentioned at the beginning, George Lucas was already working on a dark live action series from the Star Wars universe at the end of the 2000s that would have had less in common with action-adventure films from the 1930s than with the film noir of the 1940s .
Star Wars: Underwolrd was considered the title of the project, which, according to producer Rick McCallum, had over 50 screenplays. McCallum also teased the series as Deadwood in space , but at the same time stated the complex content and the high production costs as the reason for the hesitant progress.
While the plot would have taken place in a bold environment like The Mandalorian, George Lucas always considered the integration of already established characters. Last but not least, this included bounty hunter Boba Fett.
However, when Lucasfilm was bought by Disney, the project gradually disappeared in the shadow of the announced Sequel trilogy, even though ABC was also part of the Walt Disney Company Interest in the Star Wars real series announced.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
It also turned out that Battlestar Galactica veteran Ronald D. Moore wrote some screenplays for Star Wars: Underworld, as did Louise Fox and Stephen Scaia.
In addition, there are numerous costume designs, set designs and concept drawings for Star Wars: Underworld in the archives of Lucasfilm, which could have referred to the previous episodes of the space saga in terms of their plot. So would be the first meeting of Han Solo and Chewbacca or the possible storylines with Lando and the Millennium Falcon.
At the latest since Solo: A Star Wars Story, these ideas should have been rejected. It is not impossible that other ideas will be taken up one day. After all, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that not only The Mandalorian, but several Star Wars series under development for Disney’s streaming service.
How many episodes are there in Season 1 of The Mandalorian?
The first season of The Mandalorian comprises a total of eight episodes. The production devours considerably $ 100 million budget and is on par with the HBO flagship Game of Thrones and other blockbuster series that invest up to $ 10 million per episode.
The first pictures from the shooting of The Mandalorian can be expected in any case a high-quality production design. Even the Return of a character from The Empire Strikes Back has already been hinted at in this way.
When does The Mandalorian start? Where can the episodes be seen?
The Star Wars Celebration 2019 revealed that The Mandalorian suitable for the launch of Disney + starts on November 12, 2019 in the USA. In contrast to Netflix and Co., the first season is not released in one fell swoop. Instead, Disney + relies on a weekly broadcast. The German start will be on March 24, 2020.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
In addition, the The Mandalorian panel at the Star Wars Celebration gave us an extensive insight into the events of the series, specifically in the form of four pictures, the main characters Pedro Pascal as well as Gina Carano and Carl Weathers show.
The westerns by Sergio Leone and the samurai films by Akira Kurosawa were named as inspiration for The Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal also based his acting on Clint Eastwood in the dollar trilogy. Here you will find one detailed description of the material shown from the Star Wars Celebration.
When is the first trailer for The Mandalorian coming?
After there was only exclusive material to be seen at the Star Wars Celebration, a was created in the course of the D23 Expo first trailer published on the net. This shows us not only new planets and cool action, but above all inspires with the voice of Werner Herzog, who ponders the craft of a bounty hunter.
About two weeks before the start on Disney + was a another trailer for The Mandalorian released, which showed us a lot of new creatures and plenty of action. In addition to Werner Herzog, there were mainly Gina Caranos
Cara Dune, Carl Weathers' Greef Carga and Giancarlo Espositos
Moff Gideon is prominently represented, not to mention the IG-11 bounty hunter spoken by Taika Waititi.
The Mandalorian will launch on Disney + in Germany on March 24, 2020 Episode 1 will be broadcast on March 22 at ProSieben.
