Start from like part 1 but as we covered yesterday I love happy endings so I love this one particularly the most. That scene in the kitchen where Eames is cooking dinner I literally just play it in my head allllll the time.

THEEE coffee shop AU of all time. If you need cheering up today read that. I also just recc everything gyzym has ever written just as a rule. Like every single thing. I endorse them all.

3. The Material Life of the Californian Suburb by eleveninches

This one is sooo charming and every single character is written with such vibrance like there are descriptions in here that I literally to this day can recall so well.

NOTTING HILL AU!!!!! Notting Hill AU. Come on. The best Notting Hill AU out there I love all the little cameos in this like Kate Winslet u will always be famous as a side character in the Inception Notting Hill AU fanfic.

Okay this is maybe a cheat because it's kind of a White Collar fic but also I just LOVE IT. Found family is maybe my favourite trope and this plays on that SOOOOO WELL.

a story about a black female physician assistant living a life of self-sabotage as she jumps from one unfulfilling "relationship" to another. she's been convinced, by society and past experiences, that someone as "dark" as her needs to settle for any form of affection she can get. fairly tale love stories with happy endings don't happen to people like her. But when her crush from high school who unknowingly started her streak of self-sabotage suddenly reappears in her life, she has to decide whether it's worth giving him another chance.

Top five fics by kudos? i was something made for god to label fragile (now i'm stuck) - 1149 (OFMD) out of time, eternal heatstroke - 641 (OFMD) sure as the sun come up from the south - 380 (OFMD) steppin' around in a desert of joy - 311 (Ted Lasso) I'm a stitch away from making it (and a scar away from falling apart) - 279 (IT Chapter 2)

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? amazing question i could list like 6 immediately with vastly different vibes but i'm gonna pick it always leads to you in my hometown (The Boys in the Boat) because i looove the ending. those men are not having a good time with their emotions and marital status.

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i HAVE to go with hustling for the good life (never thought i'd meet you here) (Bullet Train) it's one of my fave fics ever and i love the ending so much 🥺🥺 need those guys to be happy (AND ALIVE!) forever and ever

Have you ever had a fic translated? no, and i'm not sure i'd be into it!! i wouldn't want a translation in a language i don't know because i wouldn't be able to ensure that things are worded the way i want them to be. i've translated my own writing before and i know that's a struggle even when i'm the original writer so you know.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? also no, once again i'm very very controlling about how i want my writing to look and feel and taste. i couldn't write together with someone else without ruining our relationship i think

All time favorite ship i will always always always come back to eddie carr/doc thorne from the second jurassic park novel. they're so crazymaking i'm forever obsessed with them.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? a so far unnamed continuation of call to rise (Gloryhammer) that lives as a long ass outline and several disjointed scenes in my wip folder. i haven't forgotten about her but i have also not made any progress :(

What are your writing strengths? NOT narration/dialogue balance that's for sure!! i'll get so carried away with my beloved descriptions and fun narration that i'll forget to write a single line of dialogue until i'm 600 words in

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? it's one of my big fic icks to be frank 😭 i simply don't think switching back and forth between two different languages does either one justice. the rhythm is different! the vibe is different! it's always always jarring and a lot of times not done well at all. i avoid it when i'm reading and i don't write it

First fandom you wrote in? everyone can judge me for this. it was hollywood undead rpf

Favorite fic you've written? posssssibly let me under your skin (The Terror) i just like the vibe so so much. absolutely miserable depressing yet tender small town armitozer. beloved!!!! but i have so many unpublished ones i absolutely adore, it would be hard to pick. also i didn't feel like linking my other fav fic which is the dead doviest dead dove i've ever written. it fucks though

If you were forced to write only one genre for the rest of your life (like James Patterson lol) what would you want it to be? keeping this makeshift 20th question by seasides because i like it :) my preferred genres would be either period fiction (not specifying when because i want the wiggle room) or nonfiction. i would LOVE to write nonfiction. who's got the time though

Hi hayati <3333 yes ofc with pleasure. fair warning: my taste in fic (and especially prongsfoot) is sometimes very questionable so check the tags before reading anything.

Pioneers (134k, complete) is like. one of the most popular legendary longfics in the fandom. if toxic/unhealthy codependent dynamics is your thing, it's a must-read. the atyd of j/s except its actually good

On Fire, But We Can't Feel A Thing (100k, 20/?) by @benjamin-ovich is my most re-read fic ever, i am obsessed with it. also a little unhealthy but they're trying lol. amnesia, getting back together, lots of pain for the soul, can not recommend this one enough, seriously. (make sure to subscribe bc i was promised that more fucked up prongsfoot is coming our way)

the ghost of you, it keeps me awake (50k, 12/?) by @gracelesslady23 is a james comes back au set during ootp that I really really love, it tackles all the important issues in this timeline.

Em also has another new wip called you'll see me in hindsight which is an age gap fic where Sirius accidentally time jumps 22 years forward when he is 18. and it's just. soul crushing and drool inducing all at once. mwah.

Anything at all by @padfootastic on the blog or AO3 because I'm obsessed with the way Pen writes them. Some personal favs of mine are i fall to pieces, we should be lovers instead, this unholy smut drabble that's still stuck in my head.

KaiSkitty (@roalinda) has a lot of great works, including the on-going Heaven fic, which is an age-gap, james-comes-back au with a really great premise and amazing worldbuilding.

@siriuslystarbucks's AO3 is an absolute goldmine for anything Prongsfoot, whatever you might want. I aspire to reach this level of dedication one day. The most recent one I've read is Just Come Home, with a s/omc toxic relationship and pining James and a happy ending.

Anyway it's got a special spot in my heart. I'm probably due for a re-read tbh.

When I used to post on LJ I would often have a post called Tidbits, that is what I think today's post will be like. A lot of unrelated things, but then again some are. Hope you enjoy.

What I'm Reading:

The Light More Beautiful by @firethesound. It's 4 chapters and around 81K. I'm close to finishing chapter 3 and will do so later tonight along with the last chapter. Family and house responsibilities intruded on my fandom fun. LOL I'm so enjoying the story. I really really like reading and writing about older H/D (meaning not Hogwarts or 8th year). Here, I think they're in there late 20's. The fic is canon divergent at some point in HBP where a potion accident happens that effects them greatly, however, the main part of the story takes place 13 years later.

Draco has been trained as an Auror in the US and specializes in creating spying instruments and other things that help Aurors (think of Q in James Bond). Harry is training Aurors since he was waylaid by an injury, which I've yet to discover what happened to him. Draco returns to the UK to find out Pots and Pans (I love this so much), who are Harry and Pansy are best buds. And Draco also returns with his huge crush on Harry fully intact. The interplay between H/D is top notch with lots of sparks, hilarious banter, but also soft moments. Truly lovely. Oh and the acronyms!!! Highly recommend! Can't wait to finish it tonight.

2. The the @thedrarrylibrarian hosts Happy Hour on Fridays with friends of the Library. I'll do a separate post later about @thedrarrylibrarian because they're awesome! But what caught my eye is their hosting @phdmama. Usually, the person they select recs a story that they love that hasn't gotten much play. @phdmama, however, chose to discuss re-reads. This is the way she so artfully stated her reasoning, "Reading, quite literally, has saved my life and transformed it. So I thought I’d highlight of few of those fics that have impacted me so profoundly. These fics are comfort food for my brain. These are fics I come back to, over and over and over again. They live in my soul." And I nodded my head reading her choices. I hope you check out the post and her selections.

What crossed my mind while reading the post was that there are fics that are in my top 10 favs, that I've only read once. I call them my Saving Private Ryan fics. Seeing that movie was an experience, one I'll never forget, but I don't think my heart could handle a second time. I put Frayach's The Price We Pay for Wings in this category. I will never understand how that fic is only 13K. It was written in 2007 for hd_holidays, and remains one of the most beautifully written h/d stories bar none.

For Fan Fair, @phoenixacid heavily promotes commenting on Fair's fics, artwork, and podfics. There is a contest where you are put in a group of random folks who've asked to be involved. And the groups compete against each other for points. Points are given for comments and more points for a rec. So I'm not the only one commenting on all the fics. LOL @caroll-in and I were on the same team last year, I don't think that will happen again. We killed the competition!

@snowingalway commented on my blog yesterday with further clarification of what art is archived and what is reblogged. I found it very helpful. Here's the link with her comment at the end

Older Fic Rec:

So as I mentioned above, I hadn't re-read The Price We Pay for Wings, but when I went to get the link, I discovered something I didn't know existed...a sequel. I didn't know that Frayach had written one, I had left fandom just before. A Flame Undampened is as beautiful as the first, though I do think I could and will read it again. Scorpius had loved and is loved. And that candle, yep, it's a symbol. The fic is around 5K and was written in 2012 in honor of the Newton, CT slaying of innocents.

Oh FFS how can The Price only have 46 comments and Flame 25 ?????? sorry, just got to me. This is a subject for a later blog. :)

Writers Wrapped 2022

1. How many words have you written this year: 173,701!

2. How many works did you publish this year?: 23!

3. What work are you most proud of?: I think it has to be Unbroken - I had to get over a lot of insecurities in order to start posting it. I've been exploring a lot of difficult themes through this fic and, thus far, feel satisfied with how I've addressed them. I am also excited about how the plot has come along so far. I look forward to finishing it in 2023.

4. Favourite title you used: The fic title and chapter titles in Tête-à-Tête and Playing with Fire were the ones I had the most fun brainstorming!

5. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?: Oof. I don't think I directly pulled any song lyrics this year but I definitely had a ton of playlist inspirations.

6. Pairing you wrote the most for this year?: Janeway/Chakotay

7. favourite pairing you wrote for this year?: I do have to say Janeway/Chakotay because they continue to have my heart and soul. But I had the most fun writing the Janeway/Tuvok/Chakotay dynamic in Playing with Fire

8. What work was the quickest to write?: I'll be Your First if You'll be my Last, which was written/reviewed/posted in like 8 hours. (Thank you monthly Write-a-thon)

9. What work took you the longest to write?: I have agonized and nitpicked and annoyed my betas about like every paragraph of Unbroken - both the chapters already posted and the ones queued up.

10. How many wips do you have in your docs for next year?: Ahhhm errrr ah blerg... SMH3, AQ2, Unbroken, Lesson Plans, Threshold add on, Tuvix add on... er.

Basically, too many to count and a few that will come to me later 😅

11. What’s your longest work of the year?: Parent Trap clocked in at 76,082 words. Not as many as my all time favorite Eden's Deception's 90,990 from last year, but still quite proud of it.

12. What’s your shortest work of the year?: Gloves at a whopping 381

13. What wip are you taking into next year with you?: The WIPs following me into 2023 are Unbroken, Tête-à-Tête, Sailor Delta, Out of Reach, and Age of Aquarius 2

14. What’s your most common genre and/or trope?: Making my favs suffer 😈😇

15. Your favorite character to write this year?: Absolutely Tuvok and Seven. They are really facinating characters to try to capture in dialogue and POV.

16. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?: Kes - unfortunately I just haven't got a firm grasp on her character.

17. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?: I had a lot of fun with Poly Tuvok and KJ in October and I think i'd really enjoy doing more with them next year. I also keep coming back to the idea of dumping Mark Johnson onto Voyager and seeing how that would affect he and KJs relationship.

18. What's a fandom you want to explore next year?: Star Trek Prodigy and Strange New Worlds are two treks I'd love to dive deeper into. But I also have a few original projects That I think I want to devote more attention to.

19. Which work of yours have you reread the most?: I think this year, I've re-read Eden's Deception the most of any fic I have ever written. It really hasnt sustained engagement like I had hoped, so I'm unsure how much I should prioritize the rest of the series... But I have never been so satisfied by a thing I wrote. I continue to think it's the best thing I've ever written and still can't wait to continue that fic universe.

20. Did you do any collaborative works this year? (tell us which!): I have had a truly fantastic time playing in @voyagerihardlyknowher 's threshold AU sand box. it is so unique and charming and delightful and I have met some wonderful friends through that universe. 🥰

21. Did you write any gifts this year? (tell us which!): I gifted 4 Thresholdy fics to the Threshold AU peeps, 3 kinktober works to my favorite smut loving queens, Post-Prodigy and Post-Beyerverse oneshots for @gijane-7702, and 2 punishment oneshots to my Evil Writers Chat Sailor Moon Fandom buddies.

22. Did you receive any gifts this year? (tell us which!): A) SkyKingHaruka gifted me his Evil Writers Chat punishment, Dreams (which was intended to be a oneshot but evolved into something infinitely more delightful). B) @theredheadedcaptain gifted me and Erestorandfin Chimera, which had an very fun surprise twist at the end. (I also love how Red does J/C). C) @trekflower gifted me He's Got the Lobes - a bit of crack humor that still has me in stitches. D) and @jellybeansarecool gifted me Welcome Home - a threshold AU from Beyerverse that was adorable and heartwarming and I still melt when I reread it.

23. What do you listen to while writing?: A very random assortment of music. 24. Favourite work you wrote this year?: Playing with Fire, which evolved from a kinktober prompt that got out of control. I had a spectacular amount of fun researching and writing it.

25. Favourite line/passage you wrote this year?: This is from a chapter of Unbroken that isn't published yet. I am really proud of the cadence and the simile: "The pain consuming her came on like a storm rolling over the plains. At times it was sudden and violent, ripping through her whole being, at other times ceasing suddenly, leaving all too brief relief in its wake. In the calm, with thunder rumbling above her, the anxiety about what came next built and built, like the tension before a lightning strike"

26. Biggest surprise while writing this year?: The community I've been lucky to gain through @theredheadedcaptain and I's writing group and the joy I have shared with everyone involved in @voyagerihardlyknowher 's Threshold AU have been the 2 best things to come out of this year of writing for me.

This is a roller coaster of a story, One of which i can write a million words to describe how amazing it is. Its one of the fics that makes me jump with joy when i receive a notification of update. Its one of my ongoing favs and also one of the fics that i actually have lost count of the times i have gone back and re-read till date. This is the first ever story that makes me want to fall in love once again, After having given up the idea of it a long time ago. Its a fluff attack as it progresses. The emotions are on full swing in this one.

This is one hell of a Netflix worthy fic! Period. If anything, I even have a list of actors for the OT7 and OC as to who can play who!😉🤷‍♀️

It will fucking keep you on the edge with suspense and it will blow your mind, head and whatever is left in you to bits!! I have literally never built theories or literally never spent connecting dots as i did for this one. Im not giving out spoilers, But this one right here had my heart beat racing every time there is a update. Mind-blowing is the proper word for it though.

Yoongi is another level in this, One of my fav social media au's. Its got everything, Mind-blowing and amazing. No matter how many time I've read it, still feels new like I'm reading it for the first time.

This is one i wait for updates like nobody's business yet i have no words to describe it. This story is something else, Actually something else. So many emotions are so perfectly written, its a memorable one. Its beautiful. Truly! Another example of a strong female character.

This is the first fic that I'm thankful for having long chapters. Every time i read it i just cant get enough. Its prefect example of how love has no definitions and you can even find love in the most unconventional ways. One of the sweetest love story I've come I've ever read. This is so good that it should be illegal. One of the hottest ones ever. Chemistry, sass and sexual tension runs high in this one and keeps on edge. Interesting AF and hot AF!!!

This is one hell of a fic, set in ancient backdrop! It intrigued me AF and then I couldn't stop myself from reading it again and again. The chemistry in here runs deep, one of the fics that I'm desperately waiting for the next update. It's going to be a masterpiece that I'm sure of!!

I've bitched about this show for almost 10 posts already and i think everybody understood that i hate the guts of this show.

Story is bad, it's basically a the CW Show with the RE Brand on it. It's maincast has only one talented actor and that one seems to be the biggest Problem for the german Resident Evil community. It is not that

EVERYTHING CAPCOM DID MOVIE AND TV SHOW VISE BECAME SOULLESS SHIT.

The average german RE fandom problem is, that Albert Wesker is not a white, blonde and blue eyed AlPhA mAlE wanting to dominate the earth in the show.

So what happened?

I wrote a youtube comment on some german Videos about why i think it is wrong to bash on Lance for being casted and to watch out for the real issue here:

And i've got a attacked like i insulted someones family.

Girl number 1:

Atleast mid 20, completely emotional about Wesker not being a white Ahole this time, came at me and told me how wrong I was. The poor poor company wanted him white but the showrunner made him Black. "Wesker did not deserve this. Fans did not deserve this".

It was pretty bad. It was pretty racist. Apparently, being Black is an insult in this girls opinion.

I told her, that Lance is basically the best thing in the whole show and his freaking skincolor doesnt change the fact that he did a good Job on a poorly written role. I told her the plot was online for the past 2 to 3 years. It is her fault to asume it would be about the games. Because even my mother, whos fighting covid right now, knows IT WASNT ABOUT THE DAMN GAMES.

She came at me again: telling me her life is so complex, she doesnt have enough time to read about new shows every day. And RE means her life and it's her special family and all. And i dont know how that feels because she loves RE for about 20 years.

Yeah buddy. I get it. I have ADS. i have hyperfocus on lots of things as well. I just dont act like a wild cow after someone has another opinion on my fav franchise on the freaking Internet.

I told her about the Voice Actor i've met. About how nice THE US COMMUNITY IS and how she needs to chill. I called her "brudi" which is a short version of brother. I use it all the time for anything. I dont care about gender, but you do you. My gender, sexuality, religion isnt part of my personality or anyone elses. So everybody is a brudi imo.

And she became crazy and told me i'm intolerant of other peoples opinions and how i dont understand poor wesker. And she is allowed to be sad and angry and super emotional. She called me a dude and threatened to call me a girl to insult me.

It became pretty childisch. I told her my gender for the lulz, because apparently its super important to hurt "My FeElInGs" to call me a girl because i'm a dude in her eyes. And told her that i would leave now. I dont have time for this sh1t.

User number 2, a girl, mid20, came at me and told me i was intolerant for other peoples opinions and dont understand Albert Wesker. She wrote me 50% fanfic, 40% of her headcanon about Wesker and 10% in game lore. Like i stopped after 2 lines. It was unreadable. I was fucking laughing in front of my phone.

I only responded with "lol eating popcorn" and left.

Like what the fuck.

Apparently being Black is a big problem for german RE Fans. I see a racist pattern here. I decided to leave the Resident Evil community.

Do you guys know Biohazard? So much better than Resident Evil. I stan Biohazard now. I KNOW ITS HILARIOUS but GTFO with these people.

FEH - af1899 summons for Legendary Lucina's last 4 merges!

Finally, after sitting for 6+ hours working on the video, I've finally finished it to show you the results on my quest to get those merges I'm missing, here's the video:

The summoning

It started alright, I got my first Duo Ephraim to be foddered later on 11 pulls, as he has +hp/-att IVs, then some time after I got Lucina's seventh merge, looking good so far.

Already at the 30th pull, I get my first Loki, who I've been looking forward to get to fodder to Sara, I got a +hp/-res Ninian soon after also.

Of course I sparked the eighth merge.

After that, things started to go downhill as the rate went up and up, but I got a +def/-res Tana along the way.

It was not until I made it to 12% that I get my second... Duo Ephraim, I really don't want to work on this alt even though I do like both Ephraim and Lyon, mainly because my attachment isn't strong to them, but I'll keep this copy for the time being... -spd/+res BTW.

A little after, I get Lucina's nineth merge, but I had to get most of my stashed [Orbs] first.

Things started to get better again, finally, as I get the last merge a few minutes later!!

The destinies

Now, onto what I did with each unit (this section is subject to update without prior notification)...

Duo Ephraim (+hp/-att): will fodder to TBA candidate.

Legendary Lucina (+res/-hp): seventh merge.

Loki (+res/-att): will fodder to Sara for [Earthwater Balm+], [Restore+] and [C Duel Infantry 1] (she doesn't really need this because she can't score optimally but I love to spoil my favs).

Ninian (+hp/-def): doesn't really need a +HP boon in my experience, I'll keep her with +speed like before, now she's +2 +speed.

Legendary Lucina (sparked): eighth merge, also nets me a [Forma Soul].

Tana (+def/-res): merge, now +2.

Duo Ephraim (+res/-spd): keeping for now but will fodder at a later date, candidate is TBA.

Legendary Lucina (+spd/-att): nineth merge, also using as base copy because of the more favorable boon.

Legendary Lucina (neutral): last merge!!! Poggers!!!

Old build

For context, I would like to show you her old build, this screenshot is outdated by a couple of months (from her birthday on 4/20/2021):

It wasn't that impressive and it had a bunch of drawbacks, but it still worked well.

It's amazing how her refine and "remix skills" changed that forever, she's much better now.

Small appreciation talk

Before leaving GamePress Community, I've made a post for Lucina's birthday last year, here it is.

In that post, I went on details as to why she's my favorite character in FE13.

But to put it short, the first thing that has attracted me to her was her design, it's not fanservicey at all but it's very charming and iconic, details like the Brand of the Exalt are really cool as well, and the blue butterflies sometimes surrounding her in official art, I love these.

Not just that, she's an incredibly well developed character, in the sense that we can see how crucial she is to fight off Grima and prevent certain tragedies from occurring, such as Chrom and company being killed by The Risen in a Ylissean forest early in the game.

She cares a great deal for her father and so for those dear to her, even Robin themselves, she may seem serious but she's kind and polite, and will stand up to protect others.

All those traits endeared me to her, she's just thay lovable (and more). 💙🦋

The character at the right is most likely a girl and they are apparently using a staff (or some kind of weapon) shaped like a palm tree (like Summer Rhys's weapon).
