Might sound absolutely insane but I can’t get this out of my head, what does Jacob do about basic hygiene? Like I’m sure Edix takes it upon himself to groom him or something fucked up but like. What about his teeth? What would happen if he got a cavity? Fingernails? They’ve gotta be LONG and painful. Hair? Im a curly girlie and cannot imagine being separated from my emotional support hairbrush. I am so stressed for this man that it’s coming out in motherly form. What happens when his shoes/ socks wear out and he’s freezing? Or when his body shuts down from lack of protein/ only eating fruit? I want to make this man a hat and a pair of wool socks and a giant fluffy blanket :( maybe I’m reading too far into everything but I am INVESTED, sorry this is so long, thanks for writing and including so much detail!!

Venandi don't actually groom each other/themselves as a means of literal bathing, it's mostly just an expression of affection (like how real cats will lick another one on the head when they cuddle), so don't worry, Edix isn't washing Jacob with his spit or anything. He gets a nice sink bath every couple of days.

The more the Venandi learn about humans during their studies, the better Edix is able to take care of Jacob. It's pretty obvious there's tons of similarities between their species, but y'know, you can't always assume with aliens, whatever he uses for mouthwash might cause his pet to vomit blood. Jacob actually takes it upon himself to chew on mint leaves in the beginning because he can't stand having a gross mouth after so long, and rinsing with water. It seems to be working fine for him, so Edix let's him continue. If he gets a cavity...sucks to suck, I guess.

Jacob already bites his fingernails as a nervous habit so there's no issue with them being too long, and even if they were, they're too tiny for Edix to do anything about them. Just let 'em break naturally. Jacob tries to brush his hair to the best of his abilities with his fingers until he gets something similar to a pick comb from Ylva since its what she uses for Mibao's textured hair, which is better than nothing.

Technically in their current story, Jacob isn't wearing any of his original clothes anymore aside from his jacket. He now wears a specially made full body suit thanks to Venandi textile technology after Ylva gave him a bath when he was first given his medicine. If that outfit gets worn out for whatever reason, another one can be printed off for him in no time.

Yeah, unfortunately, Jacob is just straight up vegetarian at this point because no fucking way is he eating any meat he can't identify as coming from earth, and that still has yet to be determined WHICH earth animal it came from. Luckily, he does slightly broaden his range to a few foreign fruits that looks appealing enough and/or are shoved into his mouth by Mibao, which contain some of the vitamins and minerals he's otherwise missing. It's not a whole lot and he's fairly underweight even for his stature as a result, but it's better than being starved entirely. Kinda. Definitely anemic and vitamin D deficient.

Poor boy only deserves the best and continually gets the worst ): Someone take this baby back home to his mama and let him have one good day. Not me though, I don't write fluff, sorry (:

i also work in pharmacy and even tho sometimes my coworkers ring me up for my birth control or ring my bf up for my birth control 😭 which is so awkward im sure they’re like i know what you do 😭 but nothing is nicer than just picking up ur meds on ur lunch break with no line and ur coworkers making sure its filled on time with no hassle

general lil life update!! trying to refill my queue the past 2 or 3 days so it actually seems like I'm Online, despite still kinda bein on an Internet Hiatus in general lately. but! I felt very productive today out of nowhere and was able to clean, journal, work out and cook a bit after like 2 weeks of not being able to do much bc Sick (which, I need to go to the dr about, but have been piddling on for a few reasons...) so that random burst of energy felt super nice! also its rainy out so that def is a mood booster. my dog and I sat on the porch and just enjoyed the rain together this morning and that was super sweet 🥺 I just took him and my journal and a blanket and we cuddled and I wrote down a couple recipes and stuff <3 I ended up starting a new journal thats different from my regular one that I treat as a diary and. I realize carrying 3-4 notebooks everywhere is EXCESSIVE probably, but also, it's SO FUN. I'm really grateful to be able to have journaling as my low-effort creative outlet lately while I haven't been able to draw or write much ;w;

Chase had come over to find beer pong in the kitchen and no one to play with until he saw Savvy. "Savvy, I challenge you to a game of pong" he said as he pulled her over to the table lightly. "That is if you can take the heat" Chase teased as he racked up the cups. Gabrielle was off doing something, and he always enjoyed talking to Savannah. Maybe he would even hear some good gossip out of it. 

Savvy was, as usual, sipping on her drink and mingling around the party. That is, until she was ushered over to the beer pong table. "when have i ever not been able to take the heat?" she scoffed and finished off the drink in her head. "good thing i get better at this game the more i drink," the brunette was already a bit tipsy. 

"I mean that's just the science behind it" said Chase laughing a little, "once you have double vision then you get two cups at once" he joked. Once the cups were racked he grabbed two balls and washed them off in the sink. "Ladies first" he said as he handed her the ping pong balls and went to his side of the table. "So tell me, have you seen anything interesting at the party so far?" Chase asked.

"i think i just try harder when my vision is blurry so i really work twice as hard on trying to have good aim," she commented with a laugh. "how polite of you. not too many of the males around here have manners," she joked. taking the ball she took her shot, seeing it bounce off of one of the rims. "off to a great start. hm. ive been in two bedrooms and neither were occupied at the time i stumbled upon them, i thought that was pretty interesting because that never happens. also, staci poured a full beer down sara's shirt when she told her to be careful not to spill it."

"Well, I was in the cheer chat during the men suck discussion, so I'm on my best behavior" he said sarcastically, he didn't mind. Especially when it came to all the girl's boyfriends being kind of shit. There had been a lot of newly single moments recently on the team in general. He was happy with his girlfriend so hating on men was definitely an option, it kept him in line with his own relationship. Chase caught the ball when it bounced off the rim and held it while he waited for her to throw again. "Well Sara had it coming with that comment, and you never tell someone with a full cup to do anything" he joked, "Staci's got low impulse control that's for sure". "to be fair, i think we all have our moments of sucking so dont worry it isn't just men," although they did seem to have far more moments, but that was beside the point and she didn't feel the need to bring it up. on her next attempt, she sank the ball, "yesss hopefully now im getting somewhere. and you're right on both of those counts. what about you what interesting things have you seen thus far?"  Chase took the ball out of the cup and chugged the whole thing. "Well" he said catching his breath, "I saw one guy constantly changing rooms, so I investigated a little" he said throwing his first ball and it sinking into the cup. "And it turns out he is talking to two girls at this party, and I am 30% sure they are texting each other about this cute mystery guy that they're talking to" Chase said as he tried the other ball and missed. "So I cannot wait to see how that turns out"  Savvy lifted her brows as he took a breath, knowing that whatever he was about to say was probably quite the story. Lifting up the cup, she took out the ball and chugged the liquid, something a good friend of hers had taught her to do well over the years. "dont they know that the circles around here are small? its like we've all slept with each other by association."

"Everybody is sleeping with everybody" said Chase letting a small laugh fall from his lips as he waited for her to throw again. "Speaking of, who is your newest conquest? I have to live vicariously through others now that I'm back with Gabrielle" he said, intrigued to know what the girl was up to. She was one of the most beautiful girls in school, it only made sense that she had guys at her beck and call.  "That is putting it lightly," she chuckled, setting down the now empty cup and setting up her next shot. it circled the rim of the cup a couple of times before finally sinking inside. "conquest? you mean like, have i hooked up with anyone tonight? chase. im a lady. you think i do that kind of thing at a party where there are loads of people who could walk in at any moment?" the girl was rambling playfully before eventually answering, "jet." mostly because everyone likely already knew anyway, it happened at most parties. it was like knowing that someone was going to end up throwing up in the bushes, jet and savvy were going to hook up. "how is that going?"  "A lady never tells" said Chase, knowing full well that there was always Jet. He was hoping there was maybe some variety in there, but Jet was ... well he was kinda it. He was that guy in town for sure. "Oh that's still going?" he said with a smile, "He is super hot, and I heard he's very good in bed. Good for you" Chase replied. Chase chugged the cup and put it to the side before continuing. "It's going great, it's a race right now to see who is the drunker one and who is in charge of getting us home. I'm hoping she's the responsible one tonight, but who is to say at this rate. She could be off taking shots with Juliette right now, and they're both so tiny they'll be on the floor in minutes" the boy said with a laugh.  "We have a nice arrangement. It's very convenient. Plus, I wont have to worry I won't get off, which is definitely a big plus. Like an old, yet reliable habit." Savvy had to laugh at her own description, the alcohol definitely making her sound a little ridiculous. "Maybe someone else will get a turn, i just dont really want it to be when i have beer goggles, because ew." Crinkling her nose at the thought she shook her head. "so who do you think is winning? how drunk are you?"  "I get that, what you know is better than something new. And if it works for you, then why bother with anything else" said Chase, completely understanding. That was something about being with Gabrielle that he loved, it was always good because they had been at it for so long. "She only drinks liquor so probably her, but it has been me before and I am working my hardest at it" said Chase laughing a little, he didn't mind taking care of her at the end of the night. It was fun when she took care of him though. "Knowing her, it's who she is with. She can either drink a lot because she's having a really good time or a really bad time. But if it's in between she won't be drunk at all ... just a little buzzed"  “Something new can be exciting, if it’s the right something new,” Sav pointed out with a shrug. “It is always nice to have a safe option though too.” Because who didn’t like options. “Yikes she could be going pretty hard right now. So that will not be a fun morning for her. “  "It can be, but I am a sucker for the classics. Only one girl out there for me" said Chase with a small smile. He was soft for Gabrielle like that, sure he would be having a great deal more fun as a single guy at this school, but there was nothing that beat to comfort of being loved. "She'll be fine. No matter what I'll make her breakfast, even if I'm about to yak" said the boy. 

“Oh isn’t that just adorable,” to be fair, there was a time when Savvy may have thought the same thing, when she was dating someone she liked to think it would be for the long haul but that was rarely the case. “Breakfast too? Damn you really are one of the good ones.”  "Yeah the perks of her family taking me in, we get to spend every morning together no matter what rooms we sleep in" said Chase with a proud smile. He also treated her very well, just going above and beyond whenever he could. It made him feel like he was repaying a debt to her family. "What do your mornings with Jet look like? Or is it purely a party affair?" he asked, curious to know more.  “That is a pretty unique situation so I guess you should enjoy it as long as possible because you lucked out there. Do they let you stay in the same room though?” Sav was glad that her friend was happy though it seemed to be going well and that’s what was most important. Her brows raised at his question “we usually have each other for breakfast,” she answered as if it was nonchalant. “And then go out for pancakes because were fucking starving.”  "Yeah, I am milking it as much as physically possible" said Chase in all earnesty. He was certain they would not separate for college, but if they didn't get into the right schools then they would be screwed. Having a child together, even though it was a secret bonded them past the usual high school relationship, but it was hard to explain that to anyone because he couldn't. "That's a hearty breakfast, lots of vitamin d in that one" Chase joked, proud of himself for that one. "Pancakes is always a good dessert after a hearty breakfast"  “I can’t say that I blame you, I think most people would do the same thing. But hey im glad that it works out for you and you’re both happy with it, that’s honestly all that matters,” the girl nodded with a shrug. She couldn’t help but chuckle, “vitamin d, good joke. Best of the night so far. But agreed pancakes are the best. A nice way to refuel.”  "You can tell who at this school has a major vitamin d deficiency" said Chase with a small chuckle as well. There were a lot of people who just needed some kind of release, any kind. Whether it was a boxing class or getting laid, people needed to do something. 

Savvy couldn’t help but chuckle and nod in agreement, “you are correct about that, I wish them all the best, honestly. Might help some of their piss poor attitudes.” "I think that might be our big ticket to victory this cheer season" said Chase feeling the alcohol start to hit him. He hated to admit it, but a lot like his girlfriend he was a light weight. 

"everyone getting laid? you might be on to something with that," she chuckled and nodded in agreement, "you down for the count on this game, or what? i can already see your eyes getting glassy, you're sucha lightweight," she teased him.  "I did some shots earlier, but I think it's all kicking in now" said Chase, the room was a little spinny. "All I am is bone and muscle, there's nothing to absorb the alcohol" he said to defend himself, but it was the honest reason he couldn't handle too much to drink.

anyway i have another two appointments tomorrow morning with the nurse about my chronic care plan (back injury/chronic pain), NDIS (national disability insurance scheme), the EDP for which I just tested, and other stuff. 

I also have to go get bloods done, twice. once for my psych x doctor, once for rheumatologist though im sure rn theyre looking amazing considering lockdown .... situation. comparatively to last time in July; shit electrolytes, iron, kidneys, calcium, the gambut etc. apparently my vitamin D was REALLY GOOD which i find so hilarious because i only took supplements for a short period of time (a month?) then stopped for weeks before getting bloods and basically havent left my house in 3 years. how is that possible. and like, theres been a point in my life where i had 0 vitamin d in my body (like PAST “deficiency”) and had prescription vit d pills and i was living in NYC and at a much lesser level of prolonged reclusiveness. haha. weird. anyway my new bloods will be like Peak Helth which makes me “triggered” but i cant do anything about that except say hey thats fucking dumb because it really is because this is dumb and its dumb to always want shitty blood results.

lmao lmao lmao literally every time i went to my therapists i was always complaining about how i just wanted to fucking die and none of them took me seriously. i had one psychiatrist tell me i wasnt depressed because i dressed nice, then ordered blood tests and told me i had low vitamin d and thats why i was sad and told me basically i was faking and to get over myself. i get that low vitamin d can make you emotional/feel depressed but it wasnt even that low and even now when its a normal range i STILL FEEL LIKE SHIT so honestly fuck that doctor and i hope her practice goes under and she loses her fucking license for being a quack. oh yeah she also gave me a shit ton of adderall which is already a triggering drug for me bc my abuser abused it bc she was convinced i had add bc i said once that i SOMETIMES have trouble concentrating in class. i told her i was having panic attacks on it (i took one pill and i thought i was dying it made me feel awful) and she fucking UPPED THE DOSE. ugh fuck her she had the personality of a dead fish and looked like one. idk what i shoild have expected from someone with a freud bobblehead but yknow.

literally because of this asshole i dont shower/brush my teeth before i go to the therapist. and even still the past two i had kept telling me i wasnt that depressed i was just stressed out over moving to a new place and adjusting to adulthood or whatever even though i was fucking telling them i was suicidal every day and was struggling with staying sober from alcohol, starving myself and sh. every issue i had they would dismiss it. i am struggling so bad with flashbacks, nightmares and trauma. i am not coping well. all the emotional responses i've learned as a result of trauma are pushing everyone in my life away from me. i am risking losing all the relationships i have because of this shitty disorder and NO ONE WANTS TO HELP ME. no one fucking cares. i am screaming and begging and explaining things right in front of these so called professionals and they all fucking ignore me!!! they change the subject, try to get me to focus on something else, or shrug it off and tell me i'm overreacting and just stressed out and need to practice mindfulness. my diagnoses have changed so many fucking times im not even sure if im mentally ill or just a hypochondriac and maybe i just dont deserve to have relationships with anyone and am,destined to live in some assisted living facility for the rest of my life because i clearly cannot handle being an adult. i am suspicious its because im afab that they're not taking me seriously but all the therapists ive seen have been cis women and im still fucking treated like this. why me. what am i doing wrong. am i really such a fucking inconvenience that even for people whos literal job is to help others im just Too Much so they wanna feed me bullshit and send me on my way. im seeing another therapist and im fucking terrified the same thing is going to happen again. if it does im just gonna fucking kill myself. i cant do this anymore. no one cares. no one wants to help me. i obviously am not worth the time.

-then he WIPED THEIR MEMORIES AGAIN!!! FUCK. I can understand him wiping the goverments/student bodies' memories, but why his parents?? they were being accepting!! ARGHHH. season 3 couldve been them all trying to adjust to them knowing!

-I know, on a meta level the showrunners probably wanted to just reset things to the status quo of him having a secret identity. But. We've been doing that for (2) seasons, I'd love if season 3 could be like, his parents adjusting to this and trying way harder to learn more and accept it (and the shenanigans that could come from that) and for fun, if he didn't wipe the students memories, it could be him being popular for a while, then everyone slowly realizing, oh, he's still Danny. Like. he might have ghost powers but hes Just The Same Guy instead of putting him on a pedestal (and seeing them all try and help him hide it from the giw/people who don't know!!)

-fuck they didn't even explain WHY he wiped everyone except sam, tucker and jazz's memories. he just Did It right when his parents were saying they loved/accepted him!! and sam and tucker didnt question it at all!!! HELLO??? very annoyed about this turn of events.

-anyway. onto season 3! I know its shorter than the first two seasons, and is the last season... I might just do it in 2 bursts if I can... :3c depends on the episodes' content and how much I want to say about each!

And tried to kick me out my room and make me live with Alissa in the living room. And because Alissa is stupid as a boy I had to move back in my room because they were all part of the no femur club. So there. My mom told me to anyway because i was gonna kill Alissa

Matt: yeah! She wouldn't let you sleep on the couch so you would creep up on her and poke her and lift her eyelids and you used a butcher knife to lift her blanket off her!

Me: she told me not to touch her and Alissa left knives all over the Goddam house. It was right next to her pillow what was i supposed to do? Go up the stairs in the dark and get a spoon? And then go down? For a spoon? The knife i think had a much better effect. And she let me lay on the couch.

Matt: I give up

Me: and so then mom and Alissa went to the pornography store in Alabama and bought me a penis and i became the ruler of the free world most especially the Penis club and i got to sleep with mom and dad and in my own room and the Penis closed the toilet lid which was what started the whole war, me being out numbered with the whole toilet seat up and drowning in my half sleep nightly and i had to dress the Penis in a Barbie dress when we went out in public and then y'all all quit cause you were jealous of me and you still don't have femers.

Matt: oh! I don't! I don't!?!

Alex: you got all mad!!!

Forest of no Return, Rapunzel's tangled adventure Countdown day 3

So out of the 4 episodes we have recapped this one is my least favorite, and this is gonna be my first Countdown post with a big rant in it (wont be the last tho Freebird is tomorrow XD).... Which you may think is weird cause Eugene is my favorite character and this is a Eugene centric episode. But this is easily my least favorite Eugene centric episode. I honestly overall dont like this episode though that may be an unpopular opionion. Honestly this episode has always conflicted my emotions a lot and i just am not sure how to feel about this episode and i have a lot of negative feel towards it though that seems to be an unpopular opinion.

At first Adira aggravated me when I first saw this episode cause I DIDN'T TRUST HER AT ALLLLLL. But I think now Adira has proven herself loyal and i don't think or want this show to do another betrayal like pls dont let Raps go through any more betrayal! So honestly after rewatching this episode just now i don't completely blame Adira for acting like a butt to Eugene cause hah EUGENE WAS STUBBORN AS A MULE XD And tbh I'm not big on Adira, I dont dislike her, but i dont love her. I feel pretty meh about her. Im always up to get to know about her some more but I'm not biting at the bit either. So Adira didn't really excite me. We really didn't learn anything important about her in this episode. And heck I love Eugene so much Adira was being rude and caused pressure to be put on him even if Eugene was being like that too. So i am already conflicted

SO EUGENE. I love Eugene, more than any character in this show, but he is the reason this episode conflicts me and stresses me as i watch it. Eugene is a confident guy and i love that about him its one of my favorite qualities about him. But this episode he kinda went a bit too much for me. Yes Eugene has always been a guy to go with his gut, but he also usually listens to RAPUNZEL or at least CONSIDERS her view. And in this episode he disregarded everyones opinions or voice in the matter and endangered everyone just to prove Adira wrong and im not gonna lie i was mad. And Rapunzel is absolutely precious in this episode and supporting Eugene despite him being an absolute idiot this episode. Its like him proving his point to Adira was more important then everyone elses safety in that moment and especially Rapunzel cause she was kinda trying to tell him to listen to Adira nicely the entire time and supporting and Eugene pretty much ignored her! Not completely but he didn't listen to her. I DID NOT LIKE THAT. So yeah my protect Rapunzel mode is on as usual and um EUGENE CROSSED THE LINE?! I hated that he did, but he did in my opinion. I felt like he was a bit out of character. He literally let Rapunzel sit tied in the vines when he knew Adira was right in saying to relax, most people thought that was funny but i didn't. Eugene proved in that moment to me that proving Adira wrong was more important then Rapunzel and he proved that the entire time they were in that forest. I hated it when he pushed everyone across the gyser saying he knew best when literally everyone pretty much said they were uncomfortable with it INCLUDING RAPUNZEL... so Eugene pretty much said Rapunzel was wrong and didn't know best and yeah i was... not happy. Yes, Eugene is confident and goes with his gut, but he would never endanger Rapunzel to do that or disregard her opinion. And Eugene still wasn't going to let his guard down after the gyser fiasco but then he fell in the land pit and when he was alone he realized what he was doing wrong. He was so caught up trying to prove himself. I like that he eventually realized... but you think he would of earlier when he saw they were all endanger and Adira clearly knew exactly what she was doing and Eugene wouldn't admit it. And yes I know Eugene said it was nice to have control in survivor situations again and he didn't like that Adira was taking it, and yeah thats a setimental reason to him that I understand but it should not of been more important to him then Rapunzel and his friends in that moment, even if Eugene did it unintentionally. I forgive Eugene for this cause i love him but i was not a fan of how he acted in this episode, he may of been acting in the moment but i wish Rapunzel was his first priority like she usually is. And I also don't completely blame Eugene cause Adira was targeting him from square 1 in that so ofc he was mad. SO I AM CONFLICTED AND I HATE IT.

So yeah Eugene pisses me off in this episode ngl. And Adira was cocky and ugh. And aside from that this episode was all over the place :/

MOVING ON TO WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT (sorry for that rant i am sleep deprived and have very stressed this week cause heh my life, and i apologize for taking out my steam on you Eugene but like agdhvfhg :'D )

Rapunzel, she was so supportive of Eugene, and also open to Adira. And tried nicecly telling Eugene to maybe give Adiras advice a try and yet still being so supportive. I love that she supported Eugene, even though he currently wasn't supporting her or anyone back in the moment.

Lance being swoon over Adira the whole time it was pretty adorable (tho i dont ship them at all)
