hey, i’ve only seen like three posts of this, but “bodyshaming is bad no matter what” applies to both Dream and Dream antis.

“Dream sucks because he’s ugly/not hot/has [specific Considered Ugly features], he shouldn’t have showed his face” sucks, especially given the sheer scale of how many people are going to be sending him hate about it--most people don’t have insults to their appearance get trending on twitter. that’s... not funny, that’s genuinely fucked up. i get that people are mad about it & i’m absolutely not interested in debating this with people who don’t like Dream. you can dislike him or criticize him without insulting his appearance.

however. “the people who criticize Dream suck because they’re ugly/have [specific Considered Ugly feature(s)]” .... is not as widespread but, uh. it.... also sucks. and if you’re reblogging or posting while also reblogging “don’t bodyshame dream! bodyshaming is always wrong, it doesn’t hurt its intended targets, it just hurts people who also happen to have those traits!” alongside them: please, please look in the mirror. you can dislike and criticize people without insulting their appearance.

i’ve started babysitting for a VERY christian family which is great because they pay me a lot of money but as someone who was raised almost completely agnostic it’s kind of insane. the 2 year old keeps asking me to read her stories from the bible. (why are we reading david and goliath to a 2 year old????) the 5 year old told me today that he was going to bring his legos to heaven with him. he also has repeatedly told me that the lego spaceships he builds are stronger than jesus. (not sure what to say to that. do i deny it??? are things allowed to be stronger than jesus??) had to stop myself mid sentence today because i almost told them im not going to heaven which would DEFINITELY have caused several meltdowns. they’re also both completely fascinated by my nose ring
