My grocery budget for the four of us has completely gotten away from me at this point. A week of groceries is costing me what a month's did 10 years ago. Seriously, ow.

I got an offer for Butcher Box meat delivery subscription, though, which will hopefully help. Local selections have been either extra low quality or, like, $20/lb so we've been resorting to ground chicken for most meals.

(I am rather grumbly that we're basically back to the college chicken and ramen budget these days despite all the career progress, wth.)

I tried the Butcher Box Boneless Pork Loin Chop and it was pretty good.

The meat was firm but soft and had a fresh taste. This was well seasoned and cooked. This had flour on it and was skillet cooked. This didn't taste greasy and wasn't overly salty to me.

I would eat this again.

isnt it so interesting and so reflective of being a teenage girl how the yellowjackets collectively and sort of automatically/instinctively assign certain roles to certain members of the group, often roles that involve getting their hands dirty and doing things that are anywhere from gross to ethically questionable to truly morally reprehensible but necessary for their survival, because no one else can stomach it, and then they punish her for acting out the exact same role that they assigned her?
