I’m finally getting around to do this post (hold for the applause 👏🏼 ) I’m currently at 423 ha. I’ve been trying to figure out what to say and what to post about this.. I mean it’s taken me almost a week to finish it. That being said, I think I’m going to take a page out of @burzekbrettsey’s book and share some of my favorite blogs who’ve helped me get to where I am and ones that you should be following too!

She’s been such a supportive person from the very beginning. She doesn’t believe it, but she’s an artist is every aspect of the word. The content she makes continues to blow me away every time something new gets put out. She’s legit one of my favorite people on this planet. I don’t know what I’d do without you. I love you🧡

@loveyourownsmiilee: Juju! Oh lord where do i even start. I swear you are my other half. She has the “oliver sense” that comes into play whenever Oliver posts something and deletes it. I mean she snatches those ig stories like it’s her job! We constantly talk about Oli and Ryan. Those are our boys and no one can say any different. She has one of the most positive blogs out there! She has such a bright, beautiful, and kind soul. I’m so glad we found each other 🤍

@burzekbrettsey: Sky! My bestie. We haven’t known each other for long, but I feel like it’s been ages! You are my favorite person to freak out with over Jay Halstead and his thigh holster. I mean that’s such a beautiful sight! Secondly, you are an AMAZING baker!! Have y’all seen the things she can make?!! 💗💗💗💗💗 Crazy little thing called love. 💗💗💗💗💗

There is a lot of things about their relationship that Eddie loves.

He loves the early morning coffee runs after he drops his son off at school and before they head to work together.

He loves the slow, sleepy mornings after a long 24-hour shift when Christopher is at school, and they have time to just be.

He loves the time they get to spend with Christopher, especially the days where Buck makes his son laugh like he’s never heard before.

He loves their dates. Coffee dates, lunch dates, dates just because. Dates with Chris. Dates without Chris. Anytime he gets to spend with Buck he cherishes.

He loves his smile. Buck has different smiles for different situations, he’s quickly come to realize. He has a cocky smile, a shy smile, a bashful one. He has a smile that he uses around Christopher that’s soft and reserved. A smile Eddie’s seen directed at him when Buck thinks no one is watching.

He loves the mornings where Buck makes them pancakes, the days where he uses chocolate chips the best (Buck has definitely caught on, and Eddie makes sure to keep his kitchen stocked with them).

He loves the evenings where they watch movies as a family, all curled up on the couch with a bucket of popcorn between them and whatever movie Christopher chooses for the night.

He loves when they are on shift together, how they can work together seamlessly. How they have each other's backs, even in the most terrifying situations.

He loves how they can communicate without words. How Buck always seems to know when to push and when to not. They don’t always get it right, sure, but even in the times that they don’t, Eddie loves how much Buck cares for him and how much he cares for Buck.

He loves the sex; rough, intimate, the physicality of it... How he feels like he can fully trust Buck, and that Buck trusts him.

He loves that they were friends first and foremost and that their friendship grew into the relationship that they have now. One where they love each other, trust each other, where they can have hard conversations without it ending in a screaming match. It's unlike any relationship that Eddie has ever had, and it feels... healthy. Like it is built on foundations that are rock solid. That would last through earthquakes, tsunamis, and maybe even a few wildfires.

He loves the days like today. He loves the look on Buck’s face when they wake up, soft and sleepy, yet so full of tenderness and warmth. He loves that his curls are disheveled, going in all different directions. He loves the little crease in his cheek from where it was smushed up against the pillow. He loves the kisses they share, even before they brush their teeth. Loves that they can lounge around, watch cartoons with Christopher, make coffee and breakfast together, and do nothing for most of the day.

He loves that there is no pressure and no expectations to get things done around the house. That they’ll get to it eventually... together.

He loves that he gets to look at Buck, memorize all his features. That Buck is his.

“What are you looking at?” Buck asks, a blush creeping up his cheeks. Eddie loves that too.

“How is it that you look even more beautiful than yesterday?” Eddie asks, looking at the love of his life.

9. a quote that you would consider getting tattooed or putting in a frame

"All was golden when the day met the night" is one that comes to mind but I'm more of a symbol person than a quote person with tattoos. I really want a moon and sun tattoo though!

For a framed quote, "This things we're doing here, you, me. I'm in. I am all in." from Gilmore Girls is a favorite!

Bonus! A sticker quote I'd want is "I'm confused, can we start over?" Or some other one liners like "Because Blood Thinner boy," from 9-1-1. I don't buy stickers bc my poor laptop wouldn't be able to handle them

16. how you wake your body up when it's feeling tired, achy or needs a stretch

I have to crack my neck! That's always needed. I roll my ankles a lot and stretch the arch of my foot. I also push my chest out and my shoulders back. I'm a runner so I do lots of calf stretches - shifting weight, pulling my ankles towards my upper thigh.

25. a game you're playing that takes your mind off things

I don't really have one! I really like Love Island the Game, but I can't get into the new season. Honestly, fanfics are my escape so games like Choices I get really into because it reminds me of fanfics.

I go in and out with the Sims. I like driving games, but I'm bad at them and they stress me out. Games like Candy Crush I'll get for maybe 48 hours and then never play again

The Papa's computer games were a favorite of mine as a kid. And I'm kinda obsessed with solitare. Halo and Call of Duty (black ops one) were popular for my family too.

I like card games too. I'll have like month where I bug people to place like skip-bo with me everyday. My friends like party games so Cards Against Humanity and Who's Most Likely To... always get me hyped up.

Misc. 18

FFS sorry this took me so LONG!! I’ve been trying to work into something a lot longer but that’s going to be a hot minute so you might just get two!!

Misc. 18:  “I’m too sober for this.” “You don’t even drink.” “Maybe I should start.”

Eddie was nervous. 

You could put him in any life or death situation and he would probably handle it beautifully. He’d pass any agility test with flying colors and not even think twice about it. He’ll he’d even say that he’s book smart and could handle most subjects thrown his way. 

Talking about feelings, though? That was not one of his God-given talents. 

So, when Buck had asked him out to dinner after they got off shift one evening, he didn’t think too much about it. They’d been out to dinner after shifts plenty of times and it never really meant anything. 

Tonight, however, was different. Tonight was an actual date with Buck, and if Hen hadn’t pointed it out, he probably wouldn’t have realized what the undertones of the conversation he and Buck had prior to him asking him out to dinner had meant. 

He’d thought about just not showing up. He could have used Chris, or his Abuela as an excuse. They’d be weak excuses, though, and Buck would probably see right through them. He was fairly certain that Buck knew him even better than he knew himself. 

“Hey,” Buck says as he climbs out of his Jeep, a big smile on his face. 

It’s that smile that could melt the thickest of icebergs, that always gets Eddie. There are some days, like today, when he sees it that he gets a little weak in the knees. 

“Hey,” Eddie smiles back, pulling Buck in for a hug. “This is a nice place you chose.”

“Yeah, well, I figured you deserve nice things,” he replies, his chin dipping a little as he steps back. He’s nervous too, Eddie can tell. 

“I’m too sober for this,” he laughs, almost wishing he hadn’t said it. 

“You don’t even drink, Eds.”

“Maybe I should start,” he quips, maybe a little too confidently. “There’s no reason we should be this nervous. It’s us.”

“Yeah, well, a new us, I guess,” Buck rubs the back of his neck. 

“Still us,” Eddie smiles, grabbing Buck’s hand as he tugged him towards the restaurant. “Come on, I’m starving. We have a lot to talk about.”
