I don't think he was a rabbit, no. I think bird makes more sense. I mean, there's this lady who always comes by my dad's store who's like, way into eggs, but other than her, I don't really think people are that into eggs unless they're birds. Right?

Chapter 12 of “Allure: Decisions, Existential Crisis, Decisions…”

“Come on, my boy,” Simmons said, Leon looking back toward him as the man canted his head toward the direction of the house, “Let’s go clean up.”

“What?” Leon asked, pausing behind the man, “I already did that in the bathroom…”

“Together.” Was Simmons simple response, continuing toward the mansion, but he did stop to glance back at Leon, “We have some…things, we have to discuss.”

A frigid chill ran down Leon’s spine as he swallowed the lump forming in his throat. What things? He eventually caught up, his heart beating in his chest with every step he took as he did, his mind racing a million miles a minute. Maybe it was to ask Leon again about the proposal? Perhaps he wanted to know why Leon had been so anxious? He honestly didn’t know and he wasn’t sure he wanted to.

Once inside, Leon followed Simmons to “their” room, even though Leon had his own room, the man telling one of the servants to get the bath started as he handed another his coat. He then turned to Leon, fingers going to Leon’s dress coat, making Leon take a step back.

“What did we talk about downstairs, boy?” Simmons asked in a calm yet stern tone, “You want to stay upstairs? You follow the rules.”

Oh, yeah…the rules. “Do as I say, whenever I say, and whatever I say…all without question. Do all that and you don’t go back down into the Lab of Horrors and spend the night in a cell next to all your failed clones”. The ones that made odd choking and growling noises that sounded almost like…

…there was a flash of lightning, a roll of thunder, and the sound of rain pelting the pavement and dead flesh, those gnarled hands reaching through the fences of the RPD…

Leon shuddered, shaking his head before allowing Simmons to unbutton his dress jacket, hands not moving from his side unless Simmons ordered him to move them. Once the coat came off, next came his waistcoat, Leon standing there and letting the man undress him as he let his mind wander. Wandering far from this man and back to another.

“You’ve become awfully close to Mr. Valentine.” Simmons suddenly said out of the blue, Leon turning his full attention to him, “The way he practically scooped you up and carted you off to the bathroom…”

“He was helping to calm my nerves and clean me up.” Leon said without thinking.

actually im posting this as a separate analysis bc i think im onto something here

an argument could be made that this ending counts as metafiction. cwilbur has left behind minecraft and thus, by extension, he has left behind the Narrative. he has left behind his audience and he no longer has a performance to play. he doesnt have to wink at the camera or be dramatic at us anymore,,, he can REST and do what he wants!! he can heal! 

Thats why we dont see what was in the book he gave ctommy! because that was JUST for his little brother. It wasn’t for us, the Audience, to see. It was just something for the most important person in his life.

similarly, i wonder if it means anything that the ghostbur part was animated/hand drawn...that was our first VISUAL of limbo, to the best of my knowledge. we’d heard descriptions but... we hadn’t SEEN It. I wonder if this too means that limbo as a space exists outside the realm of ‘minecraft.’

so we have the physical world (Minecraft medium, viewable to the audience), the afterlife/limbo (drawn medium), and Utah (physical medium), The different imagery are so so contrasted that they are like. almost seperate realities/planes? They aren’t MEANT to mix, which is why it was so jarring to see c!wilbur in the real world: we see him AS the little block man, and seeing him in real life felt almost disorienting.
