Riley is a needy person, she loves attention from her partner and is like a little puppy when it comes to being around her partner, though She did mellow out over the years

10000% Miles has always wanted a family and adores children, but he fully thought the military and a tour on pandora was the knife to that dream.

Riley loves cuddling, any semblance of cuddles and she’s down. Though her favorite way is when Miles lays on  top of her with her full weight.

Miles does too, though he has more restraint than his wife. He loves to be big spoon, or to hold her all curled up on his lap

A mix of Go out on the town Spontaneous and Stay-in Routine, they have certain dates for certain occasions and even moods

Outwardly it’s pretty equal, but overall, Miles is dominant, and Riley is Submissive

Riley is the type to blow a fuse at some point and needs to go cool off, but after that they can have a civil conversation.

With Riley it depends on what about, but usually pretty quickly to a few minutes

Miles is only super open with Riley so immediately

On Earth, it was Riley who was more open on PDA due to Miles being a “Big Scary  Marine” and him needing to be tough. So, it was a lot of riley clinging to him

On Pandora, with it not being truly military, Miles equaled it out with the PDA

They are huge on “Parallel play” meaning they do their own thing in the same room. They also love to watch shows and movies together

R) Reunion. How do they react after being apart from their s/o? How do they cope when they’re away?

Riley gets clingy-er and wants to spend the day together to reconnect. She’ll throw herself into her work when Miles is on a mission/Tour.

Miles likes to take an hour to hold her, and he’ll also just work a lot more

S) Sad. How do they cheer their s/o up when they are feeling down? How do they like to be cheered up?

Riley likes to be distracted from whatever the problem is while she lets it simmer on the back burner. To cheer up Miles, she’ll cook for him using his Mama’s recipes

Miles likes to cuddle and eat comfort food. To cheer Riley up, he pampers her and slow dances with her.

T) Thrill. Do they need to try out new things to spice up their relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Riley loves routine. She hates when plans change at the last second. And while she hates to admit it she has had a meltdown or two over it.

Miles prefers to have a routine, but time has shown that plans and routines never truly follow through. So, he rolls with the punches of life pretty easily.

U) Understanding. How well do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Riley knows what makes Miles tick pretty well, and she’s very empathetic with him and people close to her.

Miles knows and can read Riley like an open book, and he’s really only empathic with her

V) Value. How important is the relationship to them? What is its worth in comparison to other things in their life?

Their relationship is very important to Riley. Like She would pack everything up to be with him in a heartbeat if she needed to. But she is not a doormat, she would do it by her own choice, not if he was demanding it of her (which he would never)

It is the most important thing in the world to Miles, especially on pandora. Riley is one of the only people he feels he can be his true self around, and he would kill anyone that hurts her.

Riley grew up in an ingredients-only house and Miles grew up in a Mixed-meals house which led to some interesting meal occurrences when they started living together. Miles definitely found riley eating a cheese block with a paring knife as a snack and was so confused. Riley still doesn’t eat many conventional snacks.

Riley is says they don’t need the recipe/doesn’t need the recipe and Miles is says they don’t need the recipe/actually needs the recipe

They also both know how to ballroom dance and will slow dance together to unwind sometimes. They have also pulled that out on Country music nights at the compound, surprised the shit outta everyone.

Riley took Miles’ last name- Quaritch. Though she really wouldn’t have minded either way, or even hyphenated.

Miles is a southern man raised in a traditional household. He wouldn’t have taken Riley’s last name

Z) Zzz. How do they like to sleep with their partner? What time do they like to go to sleep/wake up, ideally?

Riley either only wears underwear to bed or wears one of Miles’ shirts. If she’s sleeping alone, she burritos in the blankets. If it’s with Miles, she’s like a koala, wrapped around him. And a “fun habit she picked up from working in the hospital, she can sleep just about anywhere.

Miles will usually wear boxers or sweatpants to bed. He struggles to sleep alone and cuddles pillows when he has to sleep alone. He sleeps on his back or side with Riley koalas around him.

Riley is a night-owl, Miles is an early-bird

You sink to your knees, your fingers opening, the paper falling to the ground. It lands right side up on the floor but you refuse to look simply sitting, panting on your knees in the darkness like you’re about to pray or beg. You can feel your wedding rings resting on your collar bones like a guilty secret. You wouldn’t really mind if they burned themselves into your skin. It would make everything a little more real. Two scars on your skin to say you were desired.  That once someone found you worth enough to love. 

You curl your fingers over the metal loops. You should let them go. 

You should have hurled the rings  into the ocean after  Dream got his hands on them one session. You can still feel his desperate fingers curling, somehow hooking the string that had fallen out of your shirt. He was mostly out of his mind by then, begging in an all too familiar way, pleading with you to just fucking stop please. He probably wasn’t even trying to choke you but he did and you were robbed of air. For a horrible moment you were weak in the one place you never should have been. You panicked, striking him across the face, breaking his nose with a crunch and he let go.

Just like that you were in control once more. You took a finger as a punishment and to make yourself feel better. You did feel better for a while but as you walked home in the twilight you considered throwing the rings away. They had become a liability in more ways than one. You could take Dream’s finger bones instead, make a necklace out of that. You didn’t. 

You should have left rings at the altar like they left you. Or as an offering in a temple, a  gift to the gods who had repeatedly spat in your face. 

You should have buried your rings in the soft dirt of Slime’s grave. The thought makes your gut twist itself into knots. You yank the rings off your neck and hurl them across the room. They hit the floor with a soft clicking noise and you sat panting in the silence, full of noise with nowhere to go. 

The silence is broken by a knock.  “Quackity?” You freeze like a deer in the headlights. You would recognize that voice anywhere. 

It's:

A.) Schlatt: His voice makes your sick even as it thrills you. You remember laughter and hands on your hips, lifting you into the air, spinning you until it didn’t matter that you couldn’t fly. You remember standing in front of what used to be your home bloody and bruised lip burst like an overripe cherry, dripping red down your chin. You want to run to him and bury your head in his chest and breathe in his smoke and wine scent. Survival instinct kicks in instead and you scramble to your feet and snatch a knife hidden in the pocket under your desk, turning to face the door.

B.) Sapnap. His voice is rough and warm. He says your name like he always has. Like it's magic. He sounds nervous and you can almost see him in front of the door twisting his hands,  flames ghosting up and down his arms like they do when he’s unhappy. Heart pounding you scan your dark room for the rings. You can't find them the darkness.

C.) Willbur. His voice is a challenge. It taunts you, honey sweet and razor sharp, laughter caught the edges of it. Everything, his voice, his smell his laughter makes your stomach flip over itself in a knot. You shut your eyes. It’s Wilbur and there's no point in hiding. He’ll find you. He always finds you. You clear your breakable voice. “Come in.” 

D.) Dream. Panic freezes your body. Dream sounds smug, amusement dancing in every world. Nothing like the roughed cracked whimper you last heard from him. You scramble to your feet and sway, darting to grab a knife from the bedside table rushing towards the window. Dream won't leave you alive. Or worse he will and he'll drag you back to Pandora. The thought makes you move quicker as you grab a chair preparing to hurl it through the glass

But other than that, the mansion seemed just as oddly quaint as the rest of the town, constructed from the same wood or wood-like material and topped with a sloped roof that gathered banks of snow and rows of icicles at the edges. The many windows glowed with the fires of hearth, sending a pleasant shiver through Rhys’  body and making him realize how cold he was, even with the down jacket wrapped around him.

“You gonna carry me over the threshold?” Rhys called as he trundled after Jack. The CEO laughed, throwing a wink over his shoulder as he slipped his hand onto the digital keypad.

“You’re gonna have to make a honest man outta me before I do that, sugar.”

6th Day of Requestmas! For @starfruitspice! Jack and Rhys getting snowed in at Jack’s new mountain chalet. :) Second chapter will hopefully be up soon!

Rhys hadn’t even known that Pandora had snow. He’d thought the entire planet was just barren deserts and hostile residents, with the occasional pockets of slightly muted insanity and violence.

So when Jack told him he was building a winter home alongside a new Hyperion settlement tucked away in some secluded Pandoran mountain range, he’d thought Jack’d been pulling his leg. Even when the project was allegedly “finished” and Jack had offered to take him down to visit and stay for a little bit, Rhys had expected the transport doors to open up to some kind of prank involving an angry bullymong or a pit full of lava or something.

But, no. Jack had been sincere this entire time.

The transport had dropped them off in the middle of a cute, picturesque town that looked more quaint vacation getaway than Hyperion-sponsored city. Sure, the company’s logo hung from the windows and flew from the flagpoles, and a frosted statue of Jack stood smack dab in the middle of the town square, but the buildings themselves were fairly charming, humbly built from either wood or some kind of synthetic material that was damn good at pretending to be wood. Each little A-frame roof was hung with twinkling lights that filled the entire scene with a sense of whimsy and comfort that Rhys could never have imagined existing on Pandora of all places.

“You….you really weren’t kidding…” Rhys marveled, grateful Jack had insisted on bringing him a jacket as he stepped out into the soft snow. Despite the chill, Rhys felt warm, even oddly nostalgic for a time he wasn’t even sure he’d ever known. Jack grinned brightly as he came up behind him, wrapping his arms tight about the young man’s waist.

“Frikkin’ adorable, right? And it’s all ours, kiddo. Regular Hyperion stiffs don’t get to come here ’til next week.”

“Really?” Rhys questioned, glancing around at all the houses, their windows lit up. He sniffed the air, smelling something sweet.

“Then…I mean…who’s baking cookies?”

“A.I. technology has come a long way, babe, don’t you worry. We’ll be good and spoiled here,” Jack snickered as he patted Rhys on the hip, brushing past him. “Now c’mon—you wanna see daddy’s mansion, don’t ya?”

When Rhys envisioned “Handsome Jack’s mansion,” he imagined something pretty gaudy and ostentatious. If Helios was anything to go by, Jack’s sense of style could hardly be called restrained, or even tasteful.

So as they trudged out of the tiny square, the occasional tiny loader bot running by with an armful of stitched quilts or a tray of fresh sugar cookies, Rhys was expecting to see some sprawling, tacky abomination of a home practically leap out from the snowy mountainside and smack him in the face with a hundred Jack statues and a brilliant yellow color-scheme. But instead, what he saw was something a little more…humble.

Well, about as humble as Jack could possibly be without hurting himself.

It was still huge, sprawling over the mountainside and stretching up at least four stories plus attic space. And two decently-sized Jack statues decorated the front entrance, their hands outstretched as if to welcome the guests—or frighten them away. It was even more gorgeous inside than out, and a thankful reprieve from the worsening cold outside. Rhys practically melted in happiness as he looked around the chalet, taking in the high ceilings and welcoming amber wood. Rhys’ ECHOeye quickly scanned for the temperature, reporting back a toasty 78 degrees.

“Good afternoon and welcome, Handsome Jack, sir,” a peppy voice spoke out of nowhere, nearly making Rhys jump out of his skin. Jack laughed, grabbing onto his boyfriend as he lost his balance, looking nervously around.

“You forget what I said about A.I. interfacing already, pumpkin?” Jack shook his head, before addressing the air. “Sugartits, we’re good, so long as you don’t scare the hell outta my pumpkin again.”

“Apologies, sir. Will some hot chocolate help your companion feel more at home?”

Jack patted Rhys on the hip, jostling him out of his surprise.

“O-Oh! Sure. Hot cocoa sounds…awesome,” Rhys stuttered, following Jack into the kitchen, where a little chrome machine, akin to a coffee maker, had already started to light up and quiver. A spout of melted chocolate and steamed milk poured out into a mug already set up beneath it, filling the cup and even topping it off with a dollop of whipped cream.

“…Holy crap…” Rhys’ eyes sparkled, grabbing the mug as he took a deep sip.

“Who knew a robot could make such great hot chocolate?” Rhys chuckled warmly, burying his nose back into the whipped cream and taking a noisy sip. “Thank you, umm…?”

“Sugartits.”

“Jack, that can’t be their real name…” Rhys scoffed.

“Sir Handsome Jack has requested I respond to the following—Sugartits, Babe, Babycakes, Honey, Sweetcheeks—“

“Uh, okay, no, I don’t want to call you any of that….” Rhys flustered as Jack snickered in the background. He rubbed his chin, thinking.

“Her project name was Hestia, if that helps at all…” Jack mumbled, a hot toddy liberal on the alcohol pouring into another mug with the clap of his hands. Rhys snorted.

“Hestia…no, sounds like an old lady, which would just be…weird…how about…uh…Holly?”

“Holly. What’re you going for, ‘festive stripper’?” Jack snickered, burying his nose in the hot cocktail steaming in a unicorn mug.

“Holly added to database of name recognition. Will there be anything else, sirs?” The voice responded smoothly.

“Light up the fireplace and turn on the ECHOvision, then leave us alone for the rest of the night, ‘kay Sweetcheeks? Don’t want ya popping in when I’m trying to get into Rhysie’s long johns here.” Jack’s cheeks were already shiny with a drunken flush as he grabbed Rhys’ butt, nearly leading his boyfriend by the ass over to the huge, plush couches that dominated the living room.

“Oooh….yeah, I’m not getting up like, ever…” Rhys moaned as he practically sunk into the soft red cushions, the couch sucking him in like quicksand. Jack cuddled in besides him, his lips loose with alcohol as he pressed kisses all over his boyfriend’s cheek and nearly spilt his alcohol.

“Good thing we won’t have to…I could have you on this couch all week, sugar…that’s….that’s fine with me…” Jack moaned, practically sliding into Rhys’ lap. The young man squeaked, nearly snorting his hot chocolate up his nose.

“C-Can I at least finish my drink before you uh…try to jingle my bells?” Rhys giggled, licking the last of the whipped cream from his lips as he tried to suck down his hot chocolate before Jack got his hands down his pants and made drinking basically impossible.

Rhys had only a half-inch of thick chocolate syrup remaining at the bottom of his mug when Jack grew impatient and snatched it out of his hands. He smothered Rhys’ protesting whine with a kiss, pinning his boyfriend down against the plush cushions as they made out.

Those last, delicious dregs of hot chocolate were quickly forgotten thanks to Jack’s lips. They were soft and strong and send shocks of heat through Rhys’ body that’d been missing even with the ambient warmth of the chalet. Jack’s hips grind downwards between Rhys’ open legs, the slight brush of their crotches sending a spark of need through his loins. Rhys’ eyes flutter shut, tongue twining lazily with his boyfriend’s as he melts back into the couch, more than ready to just let Jack take care of him for once.

Rhys heard the sound of his zipper yanking down as Jack’s hand pushed through his now open pants. His palm rubbed up against where Rhys’ cock lay snug in his thermal underwear, pre-cum already staining the damp fabric. Rhys’ moans into Jack’s mouth, his hands squeezing his boyfriend’s shoulders as Jack peels down the waistband of his underwear. Rhys gasps as Jack’s lips pull away from his, the CEO’s glittering smile leering down on him as he finally grasps the base of Rhys’ cock, pulling it free from its confines. There’s no better way to enjoy a beautiful summer day than sipping a refreshing drink out on the patio. Today I’m joining Krista from The Happy Housie and some blogging friends for the last week of the summer simplicity series. This week we’re sharing our favorite summer drink recipes. Whether you’re hosting a summer party, enjoying a BBQ, or just chilling out in the backyard, these drink recipes will be a summer hit!

Raspberry Watermelon Slush

This delicious raspberry watermelon slush will soon be a summer favorite.  It’s low-calorie, filled with a ton of nutrients, and SO refreshing. Watermelon has a high water content and electrolyte balance which makes it perfect for rehydrating on a hot summer’s day. It’s also an excellent source of vitamin C and antioxidants for a tasty punch of summer goodness. It really is the perfect summer drink!

Raspberry Watermelon Slush Recipe

Raspberry Watermelon Slush

This delicious raspberry watermelon slush is the perfect summer drink! It’s low calorie, filled with nutrients, and oh so refreshing!

2 cup frozen raspberries

3 cups chopped watermelon

1-2 lemons (1 large or 2 small)

1 tbsp liquid agave (if using another liquid sweetener amount may vary)

5-6 ice cubes

Juice the lemons reserving all of the juice.

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.

Pour mixture into glasses. Makes 2 large or 3 small glasses.

Optional add-ins:

splash of lemon-lime soda

2 shots of raspberry vodka or schnapp’s

Tips for the Best Frozen Drinks

Here are a few tips for making the best rapsberry watermelon slushies. I’ve made a lot of them! lol!

Once you’ve diced the watermelon, put the pieces in a freezer safe container and freeze for 1-2 hours prior to blending. If you’re short on time, you can skip this step, but it makes for a nice, thick drink.

If you don’t have agave syrup, you can use another liquid sweetener such as honey, Stevia drops, or simple syrup; however, the amount needed may vary. When in doubt, start with less – you can always add more in if needed! {NOTE: Granulated sugar is not recommended as it may not dissolve completely.}

If you like your drink a little thinner, you can add a splash of lemon-lime soda, club soda, or juice.

You can place any leftovers in a Ziploc freezer bag or other freezer safe container and store in the freezer. When you’re ready to use it, just let it thaw slightly and place it in the blender to refresh.

Looking for an adult drink? Add 1-2 shots of flavored vodka or schnapp’s.
