Anatomist might have some proficiency since they deal with keeping the living alive but the rest doesn't really need to

Depends on the person but the most likely to express affection is Curator

though as a small reminder -those are the bad guys, just because they arent monsterus to each other doesnt mean they dont make some very very bad decisions

What do the Archivists look like without their mask thingy?

they look however they wish to

I like the idea of them being able to take form they might find most useful in the moment, sticking to humanoid out of convenience and familiarity. Kinda like The Collector after being released first took form in giant floating cloak and then settled for one similar in size to King

What were the individuals that wayfarer was attached too before?

Way's found family, its in immortals nature to outlive others

They hid among a species whose planet was rejected for a collection. The rapid climate change due to its systems sun entering red dwarf phase and increased solar flare activity caused many species to go extinct and others experienced a severe population bottleneck. It made them unfavorable for introduction to other habitats so usless to collect. The Archivists decided it's better to let the planet's existing life "disappear" on its own before introducing new life that is better suited to the conditions or to write the planet off alltogether

But about the individuals, Way (back then still named Collector) first met and befriended few of them during the initial exploration when the planet got rejected. After leaving and getting into a fight with siblings, they came back looking for their friends. In the meantime, the kids they befriended grew up and started their own family that took in the star child, who across the years remained unchanged while witnessing few generations come and go. Often members were taken by sickness they couldn't help them with, while trying their best to make the planet more hospitable in hopes it can bounce back. Ultimately, a stronger solar flare broke through their barrier, exposing the planet's surface to intense radiation levels that finished extinction, Way found themselves alone in a suddenly empty world

Their siblings had their own experiences with mortals when they were younger, some similar but not all going like Wayfarers'

Their relationships have changed since childhood, running through extremes and attitudes but ultimately focusing on a common goal and set of routines. Adding to it, there isn't exactly anyone else older who could be there for them in the long run, so for better or worse all issues are build on or/and resolved between them. In the end.. it's not like they have anywhere else to go, and they don't exactly want to be alone in the void. They stick together, even if some are gone for periods of time

(But I'm glad you enjoy the things I draw! It always makes me happy to see you pop up in my notes and see your interpretation of the celestial critters:P have a cool daynight too!)

About the colors of the cloaks when they were kids, in some previous comics they shared the same teal cyan hue as an indication of being part of the group. Buuut, they already have affiliation indicated by the shadow face ornament.. and keeping the same colours made it difficult to distinguish them. Soo, this is one instance where I need to backtrack a design choice. Not counting in the more casual clothes besides robes that apear in comics too
