TJ had just stepped through the door, but he was more focused on the phone call at hand. "What are you talking about? Attacked by a bear?" He scratched his head in confusion. The hell did he come back to?

"I don't remember bears being able to drive. The fuck is he ticketing a bear for? This isn't Paw Patrol.." Then he heard more, adding to the confusion. "Hang on, he got promoted?" That was an interesting development, and thankfully, he had some people at the PD who kept him in the loop. "I didn't get replaced, and I didn't go missing. I was just looking for someone and had no signal." That's all TJ had to say regarding his disappearing act. "Look man, just get Kevin to deal with it, okay? Because if Chief finds out I've got a parking ticket, he's gonna end me, and if he ends me, I'll end you, capisce?" It was a harmless threat, a joke really, and then he looked up to see Nova staring at him. "Shibal," he muttered, jumping a little in surprise, though he should have known she'd be here waiting. "Yeah, my girl is about to end me, so I'll talk to you later." TJ quickly hung up.

"Hey, babe.." He smirked, realizing she probably heard that entire conversation. "I swear I didn't get drunk again. Look, I didn't go to the hospital either..." He pointed to himself, clear of all injuries, though his neck and shirt collar were stained with blood, which he had to quickly explain. "Maybe I did. I can't remember... shit." There was a bit of momentary panic. " I really hope I didn't buy Laine another monkey." His explanation, filled with a mix of strange stuff he'd yet to tell her about that he had previously done, was the perfect cover. Also, it would not be totally unlike him to find himself with amnesia, and he probably couldn't return her calls because he'd knocked himself out somehow. He was just going to keep grinning like an idiot until she forgave him for not returning her calls again.

A forceful blow to the head had left him dazed, with the surroundings spinning around him and an open wound in need of treatment, leading to another trip to the hospital. He was certain the hospital staff was keeping a tally on how many days he could go without a visit.

It wasn't too long before a nurse was on their way over. "Since when was there two of you?" he asked in his state of disorientation, seeing duplicates.

Felix scanned the room, struggling to find Nova among the sea of black and white clothing. He had known her for so long, even attended school with her for a little while. He still found it strange that an old friend of his sister’s deemed him worthy of attention, but it hadn’t taken long for him to love her. In his mind she had steadily moved away from a family friend, becoming his friend, Felix’s friend. She was somebody he could count on, somebody he could turn to for help if he ever needed it. Pushing through a group of over animated vampires he recognised from the city’s nightlife, he eventually laid eyes on a familiar face. “Nova!” He called, grinning at her easily. “Shit- It’s so good to see you!”

Chip was, somehow, the first one up and showered and out eating breakfast at the dining table before anyone else. Somehow, as if he didn’t have someone to shake him awake and say they should do a sun salutation to start the day. Begrudgingly he’d obliged, and then been unable to sleep, so here he was, enjoying some cereal and microwaved bacon and coffee when Nova exited her room with some company. “M-morning, k-kids,” he greeted.

"Ssibal." TJ yelled out when Takeru the cat decided to swipe at him. The cat then proceeded to dig his claws into TJ. "Babe!" There was no response from Nova, but her silence for the past day was evident. What he didn't expect was for Nova's wrath to come in the form of the damn cat. Clearly, he fucked up, and he was trying to make amends with Nova, actually he wanted to take her out for a date but he couldn't do anything when Takeru the cat was determined to claw him to death. He called out again. "Babeeeeeeeee." TJ was not winning this war with Takeru that was certain. "Jugeullae?" he muttered towards Takeru as he tried to avoid the continued swiping of the murder mittens, as he continued to call Nova to come get her cat away from him.

Hugo was rather morosely spooning the ice cream into his mouth. He’d probably picked the biggest thing on the menu and was determined to devour the entire lot. “Merlin... next year is gonna drag... You’re gone, Archie’s gone...” Their words drifted off a little at that. “It’s not gonna be the same at all...”

Nova sat up straight in bed, a light layer of sweat covering her skin, her breathing was heavy and she had to mentally tell herself to slow down, making sure to breathe in through her nose and out of her mouth, it took more than a few minutes to calm her mind, to convince herself that she in fact just had a nightmare and it wasn’t real. It had been months since she had a sleep paralysis nightmare this bad, yet she still was plagued by the constant nightmares when she closed her eyes, and she rationally knew it wouldn’t get any better if she kept neglecting to ask for some guidance, but she always tried to put on a brave face for her loved ones, so she kept that to herself. She pushed herself out the bed shuffling her feet on the floor, Nova made her way to the kitchen going to make herself a cup of tea to calm her shaky nerves When the kettle was ready she made her mug of tea before taking it out on her apartment balcony hoping that the quiet calming night sky would ease her worries.  She looked over noticing her neighbor was also outside and she looked over as she sipped her tea placing it on her small coffee table waving just a bit trying to make it not obvious she wasn’t just recently crying “Are you having a tough time tonight as well?”

I’d like to see her hook up with Nova, she’s young and has a striking resemblance to Evie. Or maybe that new Madison girl since she and Shane like to share girls so much.
