im 20 episodes past it and taliesin’s “i mean, you know you’ve kinda got a weird little cult going, and that’s okay! to be fair, i’m in a weird little cult. it’s, you know, all a god is really is a cult with a franchise” still cracks me the fuck up. it’s like he didn’t realize he was veering away from caduceus to taliesin until everyone started laughing.

There’s something so... important, about the Mighty Nein quietly, carefully confirming to each other, this is who I am, this is where I’m from. This is my name and these are my ties. 

It means something, that they sat there in the dark and spelled themselves out, because they don’t want to forget. They used to be so cagey about that kind of thing, but when threatened with losing themselves they turned to each other with plain and simple details that had previously been held close.

And it all became so simple. Caleb, not Bren. T.J., not the Cobalt Soul. No parents, but Vandran. Last name Nydoorin, never said out loud before.

It especially hits home what it means for the ones who have already forgotten, who have already lost names and homes, if in different ways. They don’t want to lose themselves again. So... They turn to each other, and half jokingly say, this is me. Nothing more.

this was probably my favourite yasha scene 🥺😭

i did it! it took me about 6 or 7 hours to do both the art and the music, which i definitely did not have time for tonight, but this scene was so beautiful i had to capture it best i could

it starts off a little unsure and then yasha gains confidence as she goes, and i tried to make it both a little sad like ashley described, and also fit with yasha’s general aesthetic

(i had some help from kye on padding this out a bit, who, i quote, added “54 notes, good luck guessing which ones”, so credit where credit is due 😂)

(they also suggested the alternate title “Yasha (Yes, Ashley Should Have Axes)”, which i think is extremely valid of them)

(art is entirely mine, and i’ll post that separately as well so you guys can have a better look at it, but for now, have my rendition of yasha’s playing, both audibly and visibly!)
