What I got from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: There is never enough time. You will never have everyone you love around you at the same time. That's not how life works. You can never go back. She will always die and he will always die and we all will always die and even if you try as hard as you can and defy existence itself death will still find you. There is never enough time. Resurrecting a character in fanfiction will always bear the fingerprints of their own death because it is a response to the original tragedy. Stories exist over and over and over again and sometimes new adventures happen. If the story is always being told, we are always meeting the loves of our lives and we are always saying goodbye to them. We all die. There is never enough time.
