Part two of me getting unnecessarily attached to broadway cactf ensemble characters , here’s a reporter

- A classical dance instructor and part time reporter

- May have developed a teeny bit of a massive crush on Wonka after dancing with him

- Multiple of its coworkers are insanely jealous that they got to be so close with the candy man himself and it will flex on it any chance they get

- ^^ Used it multiple times to get out of work or doing things at work , and it has worked every time

- Mentors a 17 year old intern at Chocolate News named Becky Press

- Has been doing dance since seven years old and became a part time instructor at twenty years old

- Learned some Russian and German after Veruca and Augustus won their tickets , also separately speaks Spanish due to traveling for both of her jobs

- Did almost injure themself dancing with Wonka since it was in heels but thinks that it would’ve been so worth it

- Only used FaceBook and Instagram but ended up gaining so much popularity after the dance that they had to make a tiktok

- Also got so many people signing up for its dance classes that they had to make online courses so it wouldn’t have to quit also working for Chocolate News

What are your honest opinions on all five kids from CatCF?

Charlie: Good kid, I hold him no ill will, but dang is he vanilla and boring. Which was the point - it takes a vanilla person who plays by the rules to make his way through the trickster-fae-level gauntlet Wonka has set up to make sure people take the job seriously - but geez, I feel no actual attachment to him.

Augustus: Poor little meow meow. Also a savage snark. I want to buy him ice cream.

Violet: BEST KIDDO. Little girlboss in the making. I've seen the discourse on how the 80s version should've inherited the factory, and you know what I'mma say that's universal, gum is adjacent to candy and Vi knows gum. This doesn't mean she's a nice person, though. Which is exactly why I like her.

Veruca: Yzma energy, absolute Yzma energy. I love snotty diva characters so much.

Mike: You know those characters who are designed to be hateable but in the most fun way possible? There's almost nothing redeeming about Mike whatsoever and I love that about him. Little headstrong brat.

I will adopt them all (or get them crossover parents) except for Charlie who is good because he is now a billionaire

Thing is, I'm not mad at Charlie (except for how boring he is), and I'm not even that mad at Wonka (I really just...consider him a trickster fae archetype, and one must be careful in one's dealings with the fae) but I like angry, jaded, petty characters and so I will ABSOLUTELY support Augustus, Violet, Veruca, and Mike embarking on an EPIC REVENGE QUEST to bring down the chocolate factory system

So yeah, I kinda don't subscribe to "they did nothing wrong" because of my particular flavor of character enjoyment but I'm also all about said angry, jaded, petty characters finding friendships and getting satisfying lives regardless, so they're my kiddos

cactf was unreal, lads

Christian was incredible, like honestly on another level.

He’s so quick, going between voices and accents and physical comedy and intense stillness, you almost get whiplash trying to follow it.

It was Ryan Sell’s last show as Charlie and he cried basically from The View From Here through the curtain call, when he was really sad and Christian was very sweet comforting him during the curtain call.

We got front row, partially obstructed seats with rush tickets, and it was hard to see but so worth it to be so close. We sat right in front of the offstage phone that Wonka uses to call the Oompas, which was very exciting for me every time he stood there.

Also he works SO HARD in this show, like he’s at 100 the entire time and like had to keep wiping sweat off his face because he was doing the most but it was incredible and just!!! so good.

It was so good, we had the best time, and I loved all of it!!! I’m sad that they’re closing, it deserves to have a really good, long run.

This MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) real-time 3D render engine demonstration features our geospecific virtual Leschi Town training site, modeled after the actual Leschi Town combined arms collective training facility (CACTF), located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA. This replica of the .25 sq km facility was built in MetaVR Terrain Tools for Esri ArcGIS with 15 cm per-pixel resolution USGS imagery blended with 1 meter per-pixel NAIP imagery surrounding the area up to Seattle. Elevation source is USGS 1 meter LIDAR blended with USGS NED 1/3 (10 meter). The virtual facility features 52 geospecific building models with interiors, multiple levels, and articulated windows and doors. These models, together with over 100 models of other cultural elements, were created from publicly available photos and videos and geolocated on the terrain footprints. Over 27,500 tree and vegetation models round out the scene.
