a couple years into his sentence, cal would kill himself after begging to be in a prison with andre. no one really knows if there’s anything more to the death, whether or not he was abused or pressured by other inmates or guards. as andre mentioned, his pretty boy blond looks either work or backfire on him. maybe he was taken advantage of.

andre would hear the news through other prisoners and would act like it doesn’t affect him, but it definitely does. his other half is dead and part of his soul is missing. they haven’t interacted in years, but the death still destroys him.

So, to avoid feeling guilty, he tells Cal to keep it, that he’ll grab a jacket later.
