Cdn stretcher bearers returning to camp after a hard night. WWI "... you’d hear a mournful cry from a bush perhaps twenty yards away, ‘Stretcher-bearers, Stretcher-bearers’, and all you could do was to ease your stretcher down on the ground for a moment, go over and see to the case, give them an injection if necessary or some tablets to ease the pain, and tell them you’d come back.”

How Patient Portals For Healthcare Improve Patient Health
In the digital era, patient portals have emerged as a powerful tool in healthcare.
These online platforms provide patients with a secure gateway to access their medical patient portal camc information, communicate with healthcare providers, and actively participate in their own care.
By leveraging the benefits of patient portals, healthcare organizations can enhance patient health outcomes and promote a collaborative patient-provider relationship.
Access to Medical Records
One of the key advantages of patient portals is the ability for patients to access their medical records anytime, anywhere.
Through the portal, patients can view their lab results, imaging reports, medication history, and past diagnoses.
Having this information readily available empowers patients to actively engage in their healthcare decisions, understand their medical conditions better, and contribute to more informed discussions with their healthcare providers.
Efficient Appointment Management
Patient portals streamline the appointment scheduling process, eliminating the need for phone calls or in-person visits.
Patients can conveniently request appointments, reschedule or cancel existing appointments, and receive automated reminders.
This functionality not only saves time for both patients and healthcare providers but also reduces the likelihood of missed appointments, leading to more efficient care delivery.
Effective communication between patients and healthcare providers is crucial for optimal care.
Patient portals offer a secure messaging feature that enables patients to communicate directly with their healthcare team.
Whether it's clarifying doubts, discussing treatment plans, or seeking advice, patients can conveniently reach out to their providers and receive timely responses.
This direct line of communication fosters a sense of engagement, trust, and collaboration in the patient-provider relationship.
Prescription Management and Refills
Patient portals simplify the process of managing prescriptions and refills.
Patients can request medication renewals, view their current prescriptions, and even receive reminders to take their medications.
This functionality promotes medication adherence, reduces the risk of medication errors, and ensures patients have timely access to the medications they need for better health management.
Educational Resources and Self-Care Tools
Patient portals often offer a wealth of educational resources and self-care tools to empower patients in managing their health.
These resources can include articles, videos, interactive modules, and personalized care plans.
By providing patients with access to reliable health information and self-care tools, patient portals encourage active participation in disease prevention, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.

Lassie eats bacon straight from the package, calling it bacon tartare. That is gross.
People feed pigs whatever scraps they have, which is bad practice because garbage in=garbage out, if you feed garbage to your pigs, the meat will be garbage, aka they will get worms. That's why Canadian pork is so good, & that's why God told humans not to eat pork (sort of, not really). Pork should not be eaten as tartare.
Not only that, bacon is really really fatty, which you don't want for a tartare. Because the meat is not cooked, you don't have the opportunity to break down any of those connective tissues, like when heat degrades collagen into gelatin which is water soluble & melts in your mouth deliciously. You actually want lean meats for tartare! Usually, fat makes meats tender, & when a cow walks around to eat grass, its legs get a workout, which is why shank is so tough & lean. Something like a tenderloin is not very used, but also not very fatty, so it is a lean & tender cut. (Myoglobin & work is what gives muscle flavour, that's why everything "tastes like chicken" chickens don't fly so their breasts have no bloodflow & they live very short lifespans, but ducks fly so they have gorgeous red breasts. Unworked muscles like tenderloin have a small amount of flavour. Honestly, you need to chew a bit, you need to WORK for it to eat good, flavourful meat. Cut your flank against the grain & chew it. Tenderloin is overrated. Good but overrated.)
Where was I going with this? Right. So usually you want a lean cut to make tartare with, & since it is eaten raw, you can't cook to denature the connective tissues, so you instead mechanically break it own by cubing it really small. You add toppings & seasonings like salt, oil, & egg yolk, the fats helping to moisten/lipidate the lean meat.
Bacon is too fatty. Eating raw blubber is great & all, but not what you want for a tartare.
The only happy thing I have is the cure!
In my Classical & Modernist Cuisine through Evening Dining (we pronounce it camced) class in culinary school, we served salmon tartare which was cured (tho we found brining worked better). Curing the salmon made it a bit more shelf stable & similarly, bacon is cured & smoked.
My point? Lassiter is weird, but now that I'm done saying how stupid he is, I think he's perfectly valid & I'm proud of him for enjoying bacon straight from the pack.

What IS The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, Though?
Super glad you asked, Billy! Let's learn together below: The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps (RCAMC) was an administrative corps of the Canadian Army.
(History)
The Militia Medical Service was established in 1898.[5] It consisted of an Army Medical Service (officers) and an Army Medical Corps (other ranks). Sir F.W. Borden was appointed Honorary Colonel of the militia's "Canadian Army Medical Corps" on 1 August 1901.
The regimental medical personnel of the Permanent Active Militia were absorbed into the corps on 2 July 1904. The regular component was titled the "Permanent Active Militia Medical Corps" (PAMC) and the militia component was titled the "Army Medical Corps" (AMC).[6] As the origin of a permanent medical corps, this date has since been considered the "birth" of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps for purposes of seniority among the corps of the Canadian Army, coming after the Royal Army Service Corps, 1903. (Though in the Militia the medical corps was the first of the support branches to be formed.)
Separate titles for permanent and non-permanent components of the medical corps were discarded during the re-organization of 1 May 1909. Thereafter, both permanent (regular) and non-permanent (reserve) components using the title "Canadian Army Medical Corps" (CAMC). The regular component of the service was redesignated "The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps" on 3 November 1919; the militia component was granted the same honour on 29 April 1936, becoming the "Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps". These two elements were re-organized for administrative purposes following the Second World War, on 22 March 1948, as "The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps".[7] The corps suffix "RCAMC" was added to the designation of all corps units from 1944.
The badge of the RCAMC consists of the rod of Asclepius (a serpent entwined around a staff) surrounded by a wreath of maple leaves, surmounted by the Royal Crown, with the name "Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps" on a scroll below. The earlier badge of the CAMC (1909) was identical, minus the prefix "Royal" on the scroll. The previous badge of the Army Medical Service and Army Medical Corps consisted of a Geneva cross on a silver maple leaf (1899). The badge of the Royal Army Medical Corps was briefly used by some members during the embryonic period of the service (1898).
After the Second World War, a series of coloured berets were adopted, with other arms and services wearing midnight blue berets, with a large coloured "flash" in corps colours – dull cherry for the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.[8]
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the RCAMC in 1954, at the time of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the corps.
(Nursing Officers)
Nurses were first employed by the Canadian military during the North West Rebellion in 1885, being at that time civilian auxiliaries.[9] Canada was one of the first nations to establish nurses as integral military personnel, first as officers of the militia (reserve) force in 1900, and in 1906 as officers of the regular force.[10]
(Integration and Unification)
In 1959 the RCAMC joined with the medical services of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) to form the Canadian Forces Medical Service (CFMS). Medical personnel continued to wear the uniform of their respective service, but were functionally integrated under the professional direction of the newly created surgeon general of the Canadian Forces. Medical administration, personnel development and individual training were standardized within the CFMS in order to facilitate the operation of tri-service hospitals and joint medical headquarters. Fighting units continued to obtain integral medical support from their own uniformed personnel. Hospitals, medical headquarters, training schools and equipment depots and research facilities were staffed by CFMS members of all three services, resulting in a larger, more capable and more flexible organization (and more economical).
When the RCN, Canadian Army and RCAF were merged in 1968 to form the Canadian Forces, the RCAMC was deactivated in the Regular Force, and its personnel absorbed by the re-organized CFMS, which became a personnel branch of the new Canadian Forces. Reserve units of the RCAMC continued to exist, using their RCAMC titles, until re-organization of the Reserve Force in 1974, when the corps' final disbandment was effected.

Voice of America: Cambodian experts train Ukrainians in demining techiques
Cambodian demining experts met with members of Ukraine's State Emergency Service at a facility in Poland last week to teach demining techniques, according to a video from Voice of America published on July 13.
The experts shared advanced land-mine imaging technology and equipment, some of which was developed and supported by the Japanese government.
The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CAMC), which is taking the lead on developing trainings for Ukrainian teams in Poland, gained experience in demining techniques over the past several decades after the war in Cambodia ended in the late 1990s.
The CAMC has worked in several countries in Africa and the Middle East to share its equipment and expertise in the realm of demining.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in January that Ukraine had become “the largest minefield in the world,” due to the Russian invasion, where an estimated 40 percent of the territory now contains land mines.
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov estimated in April that over 5,000 specialists will be needed to de-mine Ukrainian territory after the war ends.
