cast a legend of zelda live action movie

I saw this as I sat down at my desk at work and out loud said “oh noooooooooo”. It was a giddy oh no though.

So I was thinking of like who to cast for who by like age cause well, wanna stay true but shit if there wasn’t anyone with right look… so I said fuck it. No pics because I can’t get anything to load on my phone. I work in a blackhole for cell service send help

So for Link, maybe Shayne Topp. He has the right body type and look (twink, non derogatory). He’s a shorty like Link, overall decent fit.

For Zelda, maybe Sabrina Carpenter. I think she also fits the look but definitely more BOTW Zelda vibes. Or Dove Cameron.

For Ganondorf, personally I’d say CGI that man 100% and throw Matt Mercer at his voice again LOL If I had to choose a person though… Dwayne Johnson or Dave Bautista. Both have the ability to pull the right aura and while both have good comedy chops, I bet they’d pull off the haughty, king of the desert vibe really well. I threw Bautista in as well because he showed a lot depth with Drax (even if Drax was mostly goofy).

Now for Ganon, the pig/Calamity/Etc, absolutely CGI that into the coolest shit and get Matt Mercer for the voice. Done. DONE.

For Impa, it depends on which version of Zelda they’re doing. If it’s anything other than BOTW/TOTK, then someone who can pull both intimidating and soft would be a good fit. Zoe Saldana would be a good fit. Right look and capable of switching between the differing sides. I’m not casting someone as BOTW Impa. Nope. You can’t make me lol

Should there be a Malon in this, then Elizabeth Olsen. I think she could pull her off pretty well.

Tingle AND HIS BROTHERS should be cast as Brennan Lee Mulligan. I don’t care if he’s not really an actor. I’m convinced he could do it and do it well. The man has breadth, he has depth, he could do different voices for each with no issue. Plus. I LOVE him, your honor. Tbh this came to mind immediately but I was like wait, let it cook do some of the others first.

Who am I missing? Uhh…

If there’s a Hero’s shade character, Damian Haas for the voice. He’s done a lot of hero characters as a VA and I think letting him loose on a character like the Hero’s Shade would be really cool.

Not gonna lie, I’m forgetting every other character that exists in Zelda rn. My boss let me soapbox about how stupid people fucked up my shit by not doing what we told them to and now I’m all heated about that.

marcus: xolo maridueña has been popping off recently and rightfully so. marcus is only a bit part but i think he can be everybody's baby the way god intended. he doesn't have The Eyebrows but we can get them there i know it

ian: this one is more about vibes than look and also it made me laugh. because who gives that sad, washed-up older brother vibe QUITE LIKE skyler gisondo. this casting is everything to me i think it's so funny.

aguilar: do you think we can get away with rico rodriguez in a serious-ish role. i mean it's a comedy role in a serious-ish show. i just think he has the range.

luke: as a fun little nod to the series that was the partial inspiration for iwks, a little bit part for mister kit connor.

Exactly! Like there are definitely some things that have been funny about the resent seasons. The season 2 reunion, Andrew’s fake tears in season 3. But the couples just don’t hit. Looking back, I realised I was genuinely rooting for a lot of the season 1 couples in some capacity. Not Mark and Jessica Ofc, because they were doomed from the start, but like,,

Kenny and Kelly really seemed like they were going to make it.

Damian and Gianinna were messy as hell, but they had their moments. (I’m glad it didn’t happen though considering what Damon is up to.)

Amber and Barnett seem genuinely good together, and I was really hoping that he would pick her over Jessica.

Cameron and Lauren are just *chefs kiss*

Season 2 just didn’t have that. I was waiting for Shake to realise he had an incredible woman in front of him, and he didn’t. I was waiting for Natalie to open her eyes about Shayne (thank god she did). Nick and Danielle were sold as the new Cameron and Lauren, but they simply could not compare. Etc etc

Like I’ll watch it for the drama, but the more time goes one the less I can root for these couples 😭😭 the show isn’t as wholesome anymore. The season 1 reunion was filled with apologies and crying,, they just never got any of that shit back.

Twins Rally Late To Beat O’s!

Orioles 6 Twins 7 W-Lawyerson (1-0) L-Gomez (1-1) 

The Minnesota Twins had their first off day of the spring yesterday. The team got back to work today as the Orioles made the trip down to Fort Myers. The Orioles started the scoring in the second inning as Colton Cowser drew a one-out walk. Daz Cameron and Connor Norby followed with singles and Kenta Maeda was called for a balk, which scored a run. Jose Miranda answered when he belted a Grayson Rodriguez fastball out to left for a solo homer. The Twins woud jump ahead in the fourth when Michael Taylor lined a two-out single to left. Ryan Jeffers doubled him home to put Minnesota up by a run after four innings of play. The Orioles would bounce right back in the sixth with a Connor Norby lead-off ground-rule double to right-center. Anthony Benboom and Heston Kjerstad followed with walks. Later in the inning, Josh Lester plated a pair with a single to right and Baltimore retook the lead. The Orioles kept adding on in the seventh when Colton Cowser reached on an error by Ben Ross. Daz Cameron was hit by a pitch and Jackson Holiday delivered an RBI single to left to double the Baltimore lead. The Twins tried to inch closer in the bottom of the sixth when Will Holland reached on an error by third basemen Coby Mayo. Aaron Sabato walked and Holland reached third. Danny De Andrade hit a sacrifice fly to center to pull the Twins within a run after seven frames. The O’s would respond with a Josh Lester lead-off single in the seventh. Coby Mayo then doubled and Robert Neustrom hit a sac fly to center, which put the Orioles up by two runs. The next batter, Shayne Fontana reached on an error to plate another run. The Twins would answer again as Ben Ross led-off with a walk and Mikey Perez lined a single to center. Both runners moved up on a groundball and Will Holland doubled home a pair. The Twins would get a few gifts in the ninth as Ofreidy Gomez walked the first two batters. A couple of wild pitches tied the game at six all.. Ofreidy Gomez threw another wild pitch and Tanner Schobel scored the winning run as the Twins walked off the Orioles today. 

-Final Thoughts- Kenta Maeda was a little wild, but did okay. He went 2 2/3 innings and allowed a run on thre hits with four walks and a strikeout. Locke St. John struck out his only batter to end the third, Danny Coulombe walked two and struck out three in the fourth, and Blayne Enlow retired four and gave up two runs with two walks and two strikeouts. Jordan Brink got out of the sixth, Brock Stewart struck out two in the seventh, and Austin Schulfer gave up two runs in the eighth. Cody Laweryson had a scoreless ninth to pick up the win. Kyle Farmer and Ryan Jeffers led the offense with two hits each. The Twins hit 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base. Tomorrow, the Twins head up to Dunedin to play the Blue Jays. Bailey Ober will face Alek Manoah on Wednesday afternoon.

You know, we had one solid couple in season 1 of love is blind that at least gave the impression of two people being so sure of each other and despite little differences, were so sweet and so loving. Made you believe in love a little.

Season 2 is getting frustrating because of all the drama. There's not one couple I'm certain of.

Cameron and Lauren's lovely relationship was the perfect foil to the Barnett's batshit drama. But season 2 has the most drama and I am like "oh good, they're working" but then some bullshit gets in the way, like Sal's jealousy, or Shaina getting between Natalie and Shayne, or Danielle's insecurities or Shake's "I'm not sexually attracted to Deepti".

Gimme one good couple. One I can go "awwww" at while enjoying the drama. This season is like whiplash. I miss Lauren and Cameron.
