As someone who likes Damijon as both platonic and romantic…I don’t understand the obsession of certain antis bring up whole age gap thing when it comes to Damian and Jon. It’s getting really old and pissing me off at this point.

I can’t recall a fandom I’ve been in where antis kept bringing up an age gap between two characters.

Idk if I’m talking out of my ass but it sounds like as if antis think the fandom puts Damijon in sexual situations 24/7 when that’s not the case.

Jfc no one is forcing you to ship them if you don’t (it’s not even canon!) but don’t go around accusing the fandom as p*d*s just to make a point. ( I know in fandoms there some weirdos too but it doesn’t make up a whole)

Let the Damijon fandom enjoy whatever crumbles they are getting right now…because it’s really just crumbles at this point.

If those antis also consist of those who are our rival ships (they know who they are) like yall are getting canon content rn from DC if you’re upset with the quality of it speak with your wallet idk…???

Sorry for the rant it’s just for the most part Damijon fandom has been pretty chill (excluding Twitter that’s another can of worms) and I hate the accusations parts of the fandom love to make.

Yeah… people don’t talk about how Jon had to be 11 to Damian’s 13 before he left for space because they only read super sons, they never really look at any other source or think about their ages as more than that because tom taylor said out his mouth that they were 3 years apart when dissing the ship BUT he admits himself to not know their exact ages and that it could be a 2 year age gap.

So I just think of it as two years, and with two years I don’t really care because personally even in my youth I’ve been with people who are two years older with no issue because age alone doesn’t determine whether or not someone is taking advantage of you for obvious reasons. Age gaps are not tangible things, to some people what you consider weird is normal to someone else.

Then there’s the fact that neither Jon or Damian have birthdays. Damian was aged up for teen titans which people don’t seem to care about. Among other things like how Jon and Damian are the same age in most other universes… did you know that? Also, people like to say theres a maturity gap but forget that Damian was the immature one that picked fights. Plus, when characters grow up beside each other then it’s less ‘weird’ cause then they are expierencing similar traumas. It’s probably lots smaller then we think.

When I talk about them with a three year age gap then its probably platonic but sometimes romantic, two years then its sometimes platonic or romantic, one year, platonic or romantic and I stay between these because their age can slightly change their dynamic. It’s for fun, its exploring their platonic dynamic if it had elements of romance to it. Its interchangeable to me but for the most parts its two.

They are barbies that I play with at my own free will. They are not real people, they may imitate life but they do not infact replicate it.

So yeah… when they are young I only ever have really seen or interacted with media where J and D have not done more than maybe peck. Its just supposed to be cute and sweet.

Do people not understand the concept of the fact Jon and Damian should not be getting into a serious relationship while they are young or else it would go horribly wrong? Do they not understand that a lot of the ships appeal in the childhood friends TO lovers factor?

It kind of bothers me to be having to put the fact that I l hate Jonjay and like Daminika in my bio so people can get a feel for the type of person I am. And “rival” ships? there’s no rivalry, I don’t feel threatened by other peoples ships at all… especially if they’re canon… unless its like jonjay where the origin of the ship is inherently problematic, substanceless and built on character assassination… but we hate damijon and praise THAT? We say that damijon is worse than that? I’m sorry but jonjay to jon kent is jayroy to roy harper to me.

Twitter is very strange, very very strange people on that app to which this morning I had to uninstall because I KNEW that they would feel threatened by damijons today and hate profusely in response to it.

Although, you guys gotta put that age gap shit to bed…

Dami look 14 here to you? If Damijons are the ones who don’t read comics then how do we know that they are well in their 20s and 30s here. They are both consenting adults in main continuity that can do as they please here. You simply cannot say anything. No arguement can be supported now because now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

There was no point in hate the age gap really in the first place since time was always gonna heal it anyway???

But part of me kind of understands hating it if you experience fandom through twitter which is not a fandom app at all. Damijon stans are annoying and gross on twitter, I get it but not everyone is inherently horrible for obvious reasons.

FSR Rambles 12 times Vaati got his ass kicked

Insanity, Vaati being pathetic.

What's new?

Ooop. Zelda showing off how she'll kill you within 2 seconds of being in HER castle.

Link's letter was smth addressed earlier: He warned her with a letter he was going to pull the sword.

Which implies a certain amount of impersonal-ness to the action. He didn't want her talking him out of it lmfao. He was already struggling with defying Vio's persistence so it makes sense he didn't want Zelda to try and logic his ass either.

Her outfit being the sneaky armor in botw, presumably so she could sneak attack, whoever ended up attacking her.

I thought it'd also be a fun throwback to Sheik and spoiler:

Zelda's gender identity is pretty open. Link referred to her with "They" pronouns earlier in the comic but I didn't feel it was very relevant to bring up at the time lmfao. Zelda's all sorts of gender in this comic to say the least.

The reason why Vaati knows she's around is smth I'll get into later when it's more relevant.

"Damn would you have preferred Gannon???" - Vaati probably.

Zelda isn't playing around she wants to know where her blonde twink is at.

Vaati is a bitch about it of course.

Smth people seem to be CONFUSED about fsr is Vaati's not so subtle Zelda simping.

Vaati is a Zelda simp, that's really all there is too it. The extent of that simping is smth I've joked about a lot.

So he got his ass handed to him.

Shadow himself noted vaati must be weak as hell earlier so. Guess he was right.

Smth of note: vaati is struggling to keep his form in the "wind mage" form. As his body keeps trying to revert to the "wind demon" design

Those titles are used interchangeably in the manga but I call his Hylian disguise his "wind mage" form and the demon form his "wind demon" form personally.

Zelda casually drops the fact she was trying to murder Vaati with that blast. She isn't playing around. Makes sense this asshole held her prisoner for who knows how long before and did something to her best friend.

Haha vaatis pathetic and also in pain.

Good.

His suffering is all the direct cause of his own actions so...hard to feel TOO bad for him rn.

Zelda certainly doesn't.

Link’s shitty state outright made her a more cold hearted person it seems.

Not that'd I'd blame her for that lmfao.

Okay but the implication Dark Link let Vaati get his ass kicked and only jumped in to help when Vaati called for help is very funny.

Dark links comedically large sword is just interesting. It's not a four sword replica like Shadow’s.

Zelda is in shock at the weird Link coming out of nowhere.

Darks immediate reaction of being flustered at seeing Zelda is so funny to me.

And fun note: This is the first time Dark's actually for reals appeared in the physical world and not just in the "Headspace".

Subtly creepy he isn't just a mental problem but a physical danger as well.

His attack was very calculated, as he didn't hurt Zelda and just slammed his sword in front of her...

...Haven't we seen smth...SIMILAR TO THIS?

Huh well, look at that...

Sweaty weirdo Dark Link enters the chat.

No it was not just for the memes he's actually just like that lmfao.

So from what we know about Dark so far there's some things to note:

Our buddy boy can see the memories of others and "live" through their experiences.

Yall see what it is getting at right?

Shadow link, Vio, and Vaati's emotions and memories are influencing Darks inability to harm Zelda here.

And perhaps he formed feeling a certain kind of way about her.

He associates her with positive feelings lmfao.

Their influence aside, he still chooses not to hurt her on his own.

Vaati’s reaction is priceless.

Zelda seems to grant Dark some mercy, assumably because he outright denied Vaati here lol.

For his sparing of Zelda he gets squished like a dog toy. Poor Dark Link.

Vaati leaves with his dumbass lackey.

When you casualy blow a hole in your castle lmfao.

She's overwhelmed.

She need break.

She need hug.

She need...Link.

Pff.

Vaati’s abusive bullshit doesn't seem to damper his mood at least as he's smiling in the 3rd panel.

Dark link and Shadow link are very different people, ESPECIALY when it comes to how they cope with Vaati's abuse.

It left a mark on Shadow where as as of right now at least, Dark acts MOSTLY unbothered by it.

Let's face it rn his idea of normal relationships are Shadow and vio lmfaoooooooo-

The dudes who both almost murdered each other.

His "I want kisses too" line will never not get a laugh out of me.

It's so indicative of how he actually feels.

He wants kisses.

He drops that Shadow is the demon king and for a second you gotta wonder if Vaati was like

"...Why is Gannon smooching Vio?????"

Dark Link also wants to dance. Both are things he saw Vio and Shadow do, mind you...

Vaati has no idea wtf is going on lmfao.

Dark has eclipsed him as the true villain of this comic-

I say in jest.

Dark casually recaps stuff we already kinda know.

While trying to dance with Vaati pff.

Funny enough, taking the lead in said dance, which reflects how he's the one doing all the work rn.

So, Dark link is interpreting peoples feelings, not 100% understanding them. 🤔

He has to actually think about Blue's emotional state hah and even seems surprised.

It's funny to think that even Green picked up on blue being jealous, and basically everyone did, but Dark had to think about it...

Kinda shows he doesn't really understand people much. Like TRUELY.

Or he's just not as interested in blue vs Vio and Shadow.

Dark stutters again like he did when he was face to face with Zelda.

Vaatis so mean mocking his stutter and continues to berate him.

Well that was an outburst.

And I finally get to talk in detail about Dark Link’s "mechanics" for a lack of a better term will expand on the next page.

Design/art wise:

Dark's teeth are all sharp here when normally, despite being a demon his teeth are flat/human looking teeth.

The background is a more red version of the head-space Vio and Green have been dragged to when Dark talks to them/at them.

Immediately he's back to being himself.

Weirdly happy, which settles in the true horror of the previous outbirst:

He didn't mean, a single word of what he just said.

He said that, PURELY to hurt Vaati because it's something that Vaati already feels about himself. He wasn't actually MAD at Vaati and snapping in response to Vaati's abuse. He was just reflecting Vaati's anger right back at him.

So smth about Dark:

He often reflects DIRECTLY how others behave.

Instances of such:

The madder Vaati got in this talk, the "angrier" Dark Link got right back at him.

He shouted at Dark to "Do something" and he responded angrily back that he didn't want to hurt Zelda.

He shouted and berated Dark Link causing Dark to shout that nobody loves Vaati.

Dark Link's nature is to be calm, quiet, pretty "Happy" and kinda hopelessly romantic lmao. He wants to have his idea of "Fun" with people.

He MIMICS people.

Dark has no identity of his own (At least he doesn't seem to realize he does) so often he just bounces off people. He only takes joy in hurting others atm.

Not even in an outright malicious way. At least not the kind of malicious that's "haha I broke the hero because I hate him". This is just what his idea of "Fun" is. What his idea of normal interactions are. This is just what he's suposed to be doing rn.

He isn't acting much outside of his direct reason for creation. What he even deems as fun is indicative of his creation as well.

Engaging with their range of emotions and characters and memories he deems interesting is FUN to him.

If his dialogue from page 121 is anything to go off of, bro really doesn't give a shit about his job. He just wants to have fun:

He finds it amusing Shadow can ALSO manipulate people's feelings, outright kind of complimenting him for it.

And then gets hopelessly distracted and starts talking about what he'd "Rather do" right now.

Which involves hugging Vio and reading oop.

He didn't get SUPER involved/invested in Shadow's memories until Vio and Shadow were doing more "interesting" things, at least in Dark's opinion of what is "interesting."

Dark wants to engage in relationships lmfao. But he's stuck engaging with memories living though them vicariously and hurting people he supposedly "Likes".

He wants to dance with someone and kiss them and in general have "happy" moments with someone. But is stuck being a curse that's only purpose is to break the hero apart and reflect negativity.

It's kinda sad.

But he clearly hasn't reflected on his own life/situation outside of Vaati's feelings towards him.

Also: Dark has no desire to kill any of the Link or Link himself...keep this in mind.

Again: He reflects Vaati's mood of annoyance with that face in the second panel. Which kills me. You just know Vaati's making the same face off screen lmfao.

Symbolism symbolism

Dark plucks the violet but leaves the silent princess alone outside of petting it. Call back to how he left Zelda alone.

He says more stuff we kinda already know, but recapping is good. Actually, we spent like 100 pages in flashbacks, hah.

It also shows what Dark learned/his takeaway from watching their interactions.

Haha oh Dark why are you ripping petals out?

There's smth to be said about him ripping the petals out as the game "She loves me, she loves me not" is a vibe that's being invoked here.

With the odd amount of petals (Being 5) it'd land on "She loves me" by the way.

A relatively innocent game turned into something sinister as he rips petals out in accordance with how many heroes there are.

Dark's behavior continues to be ODD, as he claims Shadow's predicament is "Sad". Which is true.

But...does his expression REALLY scream that he's ACTUALLY sad about it to you?

His chest eyeball just stares blankly forward, his body language implies he's just kinda pretending or acting sad.

Which makes sense, Dark hasn't been shown to clearly understand sorrow properly as even when he cried he was still smiling.

He compares Vio and Shadow's struggles with their identities directly as they're both struggling with who they're SUPOSED to be compared to who they are.

Again: he's ripping a petal out as he talks about each member of the Link squad.

Notes notes notes my favorite:

For whatever reason Vio is not in his present day look here. He's how he looked 7 years ago.

You could make a lot of different assumptions as to why:

Is this how Dark sees Vio? Vio visually represented to be stuck in the past. Vio just feeling more childishly scared in the face of what's happening.

Dark's comforting Vio here in a similar manor to how Shadow did though.

Also super weird: Dark actually in a round about way compliments Vio here.

"He's so blinded by his self hatred he can't see just how much everyone adores him because of his calm cool nature..."

Dark can feel how others feel about Vio and repeated those opinions.

This is smth to note because so far the only things he's really repeated out loud have been negative things people feel about THEMSELVES.

Outside of when he complimented Shadow.

But this shows he can actually recognize positive feelings people have towards others and repeat those too...

And outright stating: He "likes" Vio.

Because of his strong reaction to Zelda, we can assume that he likes people depending on how others feel about them. Because the team likes Vio: So does Dark Link.

Another petal falls while he dips into Green's problems. Who's the only other one we've seen him play around with so far outside of Vio and Shadow And not even really with Shadow...

Weirdly enough Green feels empty inside because he's diet link lmfao.

I told yall I'd give him a personality.

Harbors guilt for lazing around when everyone else was doing stuff. Ouch.

He felt the need to promise Link he'd keep shit okay but he doesn't even know if he CAN.

Blue and his ptsd.

Dark continues to hug people while utterly obliterating them as people lmao.

Blue can't express his emotions arounv Vio which is a theme we'll see as we go into the comic more.

Vio looking back at Blue tho is, a thing.

To be fair to Dark's assesment of Red: red hasn't done anything in the comic yet.

Him chucking the flower the second it's not pretty anymore and, eating the petal is just funny in a morbid way.

Creepy thing: He ate the petal that "Symbolized" Red. The sweet optimistic character. Kinda just shows Dark consumes everything around him in a pit of despair lmfao. Also it's hilarious that he ate smth that he shouldn't have.

Vaati's disgusted reaction to said petal eating is very funny and Dark's monologue about HIMSELF is very telling I feel.

He thinks he's a hero, because he's saving someone. Removed from context that Vaati is a villain and the fac to "Save" Vaati he needed to hurt the REAL hero of Hyrule...

His actions are preventative at the moment: he's making so Link can't reform and the pieces can't seal Vaati back into the sword.

Dark's actions all make sense to Dark Link. XD

Nobody is cheering him, so he just blatantly says "YAY DARK LINK!!!" Which is honestly the funniest lines Dark has said purely because it shows his childish outlook on this entire situation.

He's just the hero saving Vaati.

Dark's clearly annoyed to some degree nothing he does is bringing Vaati any amount of satisfaction.

He did what he was supposed to do. The sword is drawn. Vaati is free.

Dark even mocks Vaati's impatience and his need to control someone else to do his work for him. Hitting Vaati right where it hurts with Vaati's insecurity about being a pawn.

Instantly also going for the throat with "Master Elzo and Link would be disgusted with you"

Obviously: He's talking about Minish Cap Link NOT "our" Link.

This use of their names offends Vaati to no end.

The fight scene is fun, enough said. XD

Okay fine: Ramble thoughts.

Dark manages to mauver his way into not getting properly hit.

Dark's fascination with strangling people is not missed as he does it to Vaati here.

As he repeats things he knows will hurt Vaati's feelings.

Vaati is being unreasonable and stupid in Dark's eyes so him bringing up Vaati's insecurities to make a point is just his attempt to get Vaati to listen to him.

Despite his actions seeming to go against it: He IS on Vaati's side and IS trying to "save" Vaati.

He isn't even saying/acting out of spite, he's just kinda lowkey annoyed and exasperated at Vaati at best. XD

bahaha i have had SO MANY asks about this one. yall landoscar freaks are feral. i love you all.

as i mentioned here, this prompt has now joined forces with the free use prompt and become my free use bimbofication lando norris headcanon. so you can read that one for context of the setting and i’ll expand a bit on the dumbification here.

SO. lando kind of plays up to the bimbo stereotype quite a bit anyway, in actual real life. the first time i had a twinge of “oh, i wanna make bad things happen to this particular version of you” was his astrology girlie impression in red flag green flag (he is SO bitchy in this video anfjdks) but he does it a lot when he’s in a good mood, plays up the airhead thing.

and i mean — he’s got a brain that won’t switch off. he’s so prone to overthinking, self-hatred spirals, getting angry at himself. he wants a break sometimes, and you know what’s a very effective way of getting your brain to shut the fuck up? well, in my experience, it’s either getting (consensually!!) beaten to a pulp, which is not something i see in lando (now, charles, on the other hand…) or being told you’re a dumb little slut who doesn’t need to think because all he’s good for is being an obedient little set of holes.

it intersects really nicely with the free use prompt because a lot of the appeal of dumbification/bimbofication (i’m using the terms sort of interchangeably here but this element really falls more under bimbofication) for him would be that it is about being DESIRED. about being found hot, doing a good job at being a service object, WINNING AT BEING SEXY. catnip to someone like lando who seems to pinball about on a spectrum of tell me i’m perfect/tell me i’m worthless.

lando (or the version of lando that lives in my fics which @goingxmissing and i have officially dubbed “chronically online horrible little sex goblin lando”) would be the type to just fucking DROP into that particular version of subspace. no thoughts, smooth brain, open mouth, open legs.

and naturally, oscar with his unflappable demeanour, would be very good at guiding him into and through it. (side note: if anyone would like to investigate dumbification porn more, i highly recommend signing up to collective corruption which has some of the best examples i’ve ever seen. pay for your porn if you can, people!)

How Peter Griffin helped me realize I was trans.

No, that title isn't a joke. My heavy Peter Griffin kin geniunely helped guide my path to realizing I was a transgender male.

I'm not gonna lie- I used to make fun of kinning when I was younger when I was a kid with unrestricted internet access & made fun of all these concepts that were fairly new to me at the time. I think I realized kinning wasn't bad when I was 12 but acted like I hated it because I didn't want my friends to make fun of me. Said friends donot talk to me or atleast changed their mindset on kinning. When I was around 14/15, I became more invested in the kin community. I realized that most of the things that described kin fit me perfectly. I always related to Peter Griffin- He was my favorite character in Family Guy, besides Brian & Lois. Yet, the word "relate" didn't fit strong enough to me. I felt "related" to Peter to a more spiritual connection sort of way. Even to this day, it's a bit hard to explain but that's a story for another day when I can find the words to say it. Anywho, I eventually realized my feelings aligned with kin. I won't lie, I was in heavy denial since kinning Family Guy is considered cringe & we're not quite at that point where it's considered normal. I tried to identify with my kin of Stan Marsh more since South Park kin is considered less embarassing. I do kin Stan, but it's not as heavy as Peter so I felt like I was being someone else. Sounds familiar to another experience of pretending to be someone you're not, right? Anywho.. I was known as a Stan Marsh kin for about 3-ish years or so. Yet I couldn't hide the Peter kin I was hiding. By the time I was 18,I accepted it. I realized I can't hide who I truly identify with, and accepted it. I told some friends- They were more accepting than I expected. I felt so happy. I decided to go by Peter as a second name (Keep in mind, I identified as a female at the time but I thought of Peter as a gender neutral name (If you think about it, all names are inherently gender neutral.). Yet, I still didn't feel right. There was a weight off my chest, but it wasn't fully off. I started feeling uncomfortable with my deadname being used & started using Peter as my first name. But then I realized she/her pronouns weren't working for me either once I made the leap to being called Peter- I asked people to refer to me by any, but secretly I meant don't call me she/her. I started asking those close to me to use he/him and they/them interchangeably for a week, and I realized he/him made me more comfortable than both she/her and they/them. It was at that moment I realized I wasn't a female. I was a male, born in the wrong body. (I know I realized I was FtM pretty late in life, but keep in mind during my teen years I was coerced into following some pretty crappy ideologies + the environment I grew up in IRL just wasn't for trans people + Just had an incredibly low self esteem growing up to realize the reason I felt miserable was because of dysphoria.). And then I realized.. Embracing my Peter kin was the core reason that led me to figuring out my true identity. If I hadn't accepted it & let cringe culture take over my life, I would've never realized my true self. I would've stayed closeted and self conscious my whole life. I'm proud to say I'm a happier person now after coming to terms with both things.. I'm planning on starting testorone once everything in my life is settled- I'm currently in college and work a 9-5 job, so once I graduate & move from my state I'm excited to start the path of turning into my true self. I'm glad I got to share this story with yall, I used to be embarassed about it but I've learned to embrace the "cringe " sides of me, realizing I was much happier.

Hihi. Feel like talkin and it's my blog so I'm gonna do what blogs are for and, well, blog!

Blah blah yip yap put this under a read more cause I type a lot.

Anyways, a while ago I saw a post and I can't entirely remember what it was about, but it talked about writing out why you put what songs in your F/Os playlists, and I thought that was a lovely idea. I was a little weary at first cause, well, my playlists for them are very long, not to mention the complex stories I have behind a lot songs, but it was a lovely thing, plus kept me distracted and gave me a place to gush. Plus bonus!! I can make little updates and stuff for when I add new songs and highlight the different numbers and. ANYWAYS.

I wanted to share a particular excerpt and a song! It's one of the ones where I wrote a tonnn about, filled the front and back of a page plus a little extra(it's a small notebook, about the size of my outstretched palm, so take that as you will). Maybe I'll post about the other songs as well :)

Going to copy word for word what I wrote in the journal about the song! The song is B.ody P.aint by A.rctic Monkeys. (Not an inappropriate song or title, I swear. I'm notorious for misunderstanding songs meanings but. Theyreartandartisupforinterpretationwhichcanbedonewhilestillrespectingthewritersintentionsofwritingthesong.) And this is from the Playlist I made about A.xlerod :3

I also talk about myself in the third person. Some stuff here is related to plot/backstory between me and A.xlerod so if it doesn't make sense that may be why😅(highly encourage asking questions if yall are curious. Or about any F/O stuff or backstory)

Also, his full name is Sir Miles A.xlerod, I refer to him by his first and last name interchangeably(I'm not sure why or how I started doing this).

-"so you don't let the sun catch you crying" is just a really good line for either of them(referring to A.xlerod or Kane). But more and most importantly, "And if you're thinking of me, I'm probably thinking of you" cause that is just one of the most important lines to me ever, cause I truly believe in it. But how they just think of each other so often that they're probably always thinking of each other. Also "so predictable, I know what you're thinking" is a really nice line, I think. They are just around each other so much they just know each other that well. The longer I listen to this song, the more lyrics I keep finding that fit really well, but they keep fitting SO well I wanna write them all down! The opener of "for a master of deception and subterfuge, you've made yourself quite the bed to lie in" is a really great A.xlerod towards Kane line, cause Kane is a spy and needs to be good at that sort of stuff(I googled the word subterfuge and it makes this one billion times more fitting)((I wrote that in the journal)), and Kane has kinda made himself this bed to lie in by opening up to Miles and sparing him and being all honest and vulnerable. Also Also, "I'm watching your every move, I feel the tears coming on, it won't be long" as a Miles towards Kane line cause Miles seeing how Kane is and just kinda watching him slowly become more and more open and letting his walls down. ALSO also also "I'm keeping on my costume, callin it a writing tool" for Kane towards Miles, cause of how Kane kept on his spy suit for so long like a costume, and basically using it as a tool for when he quits being a spy and does the whole lemon thing, it was a big way of him letting Miles know how serious he was about all of this, and how the last thing he would wanna do is hurt him.

OKAY FRIEND YOU GOT IT!!! This turned out more angst than fluff but I will make it up to you, anonnie!! (a lot of yall requested #20 with different boys so I'm gonna try and write at least one of each, they may turn out similar and interchangeable but I'll do my best!!)

20. "it hurts me, just how much i ache for you."

Running across the parking lot, you jumped into the arms of the young man awaiting your arrival. He laughed, spinning you around as your legs locked around his waist.

"Oh god I've missed you!" Jake laughed as he squeezed you tightly. "I'm so happy you're finally here."

"Me too!" you leaned down, peppering his face with kisses. It'd been a few long months since you'd last seen your partner, been able to touch him. You had been so excited on the plane ride and the in the car, you couldn't help bolting directly over to him. Jake reciprocated, kissing anywhere he could as you moved. Once you had gotten your fill, Jake let you down, pulling you into a tight hug.

"Who do we have here?!" you turned, seeing Sam walking over from his bus, squinting in the sunlight. "Is that my favorite sister-in-law?"

"I'm your only sister-in-law, I'd better be!" you giggled, tugging away from Jake and accepting Sam's hug. You exchanged pleasantries with Sam, Jake's arm wrapping around your waist as he joined in the conversation.

Your attention was distracted by another tall brother and shorter one, stepping out of another bus.

"Josh!" you exclaimed, you turned, jogging over to Jake's older twin, wrapping your arms around him in greeting. Josh grinned, holding you tightly as he swayed you from side to side. "Oh I've missed you!"

"I'm missed you too, so so much!" Josh replied, pulling away. "What are you doing here?"

"Jake flew me out for a few weeks, we couldn't stand being apart much longer." you grinned, turning back to your husband. "Newlywed life sucks when you don't have your other half." Josh's smile faltered as he nodded.

"Yeah, I can imagine." he sighed. You'd moved onto greeting Danny now, and Sam and Jake had joined the circle. Josh couldn't help but glancing down at your hands. One was intertwined with Jake's as he stood next to you, his wedding band shining between the fingers on your right hand. On your left, a matching, more delicate band that housed an oval blue-green sapphire nestled among a few small white sapphire clusters on the sides. Another more plain band was snuggled underneath it on your finger. Josh bit the inside of his cheek, watching it glimmer in the sunlight.

He remembered Jake showing it to him. How excited his twin was to share his secret. Jake went into detail about how he tried to causally bring up stones, took you into jewelry stores, even tried to find your pinterest and etsy pages to see what you were looking at. He was so proud to have built this ring for you.

"Diamonds aren't for her," Jake insisted, and Josh agreed. It was a beautiful ring, truly, and you were going to love it. But to Josh, you weren't sapphires. You were fire opals, full of cosmic hues of gold, red green and blue. You were citrine, shining as brightly as the sun, blinding him from everyone else. You were anything but a basic gemstone.

If it hadn't been for Josh, you and Jake would have never met. You and he had the same voice teacher, who had prompted a meeting between you both after realizing how similar you were to Josh. You weren't into singing professionally; you had started taking lessons as a silly new years resolution, trying something new. After meeting a few times, Josh had started to show up early to his appointments, realizing you were usually there just before him. He loved the surprised look on your face when you'd start to leave, seeing him walking up the stairs. He had been so close to asking you out, the day he plucked up the courage, Jake had tagged along to his lesson, since he was going to be singing on the next album.

You were going down the stairs just as Josh and Jake were starting to climb them. You paused when you got closer, greeting Josh. He introduced Jake to you, not realizing the loss he would suffer for doing so. Jake, ever the one to make a move as soon as he knew what he wanted, invited you to the bar that night. Harmless, until once gathered and a few drinks in, he had snuck you off to a corner, talking to you quietly as you shared a tequila soda with him. As soon as he saw Jake lean in, Josh knew it was over. You accepted his kiss and the rest was history.

Now here you were, three years later and finally sharing Josh's last name, except you weren't his, like how he'd originally thought. How he nearly bit through his tongue at the wedding, wanting to stop it, shout out his feelings for you, have you run away with him in your beautiful gown and marry him instead in some little chapel. Move into a cottage and fill it with love and as many children as the two of you could handle. But that fantasy was something he could no longer lose himself in without feeling sick, knowing it would never happen.

It took everything Josh had in him the rest of the day to stay out of his own head. He slipped occasionally, nearly kicking himself when he flubbed onstage for the third time. He couldn't believe you being there would affect him this much. Just knowing you were there, no doubt eyes trained on Jake, watching him play his heart out for you in the stands.

After the show, you all took up home in the hotel's bar, sipping on drinks and catching up more than you were able to before. Jake stayed on you at all times, a hand on your thigh, his arm on the back of your chair, finger twirling a lock of your long hair behind your back. Josh had finally had enough after the third times he caught you both making moon eyes at each other, and roughly set his glass down on the bar, near-storming out of the restaurant.

"What was that all about?" Danny asked, brows furrowed.

"I'll go talk to him, maybe he's mad at one of you guys." you joked with his brothers.

"About what?!"

"I don't know, but one of you is always up to something."

You parted from Jake at the bar, placing a kiss on his cheek and then following Josh's path out to the outdoor pool of the hotel. You found him sitting in one of the lounge chairs, watching the wind ripple the clear blue water.

"Listen, you are the last person I want to see right now." Josh sighed, ignoring your presence.

"That's harsh," you scoffed. "What have I ever done to deserve that?"

"You just-" Josh shook his head. "Never mind. It's better if I stay quiet."

"Josh, you've been so weird to me this whole trip. I have no clue what I've done to you, but whatever it is-"

"Why did you kiss Jake?" Josh stared at you now, his dark eyes watching you. You were puzzled.

"Well he's my husband, so we kiss...I don't-"

"At the bar. The night you met him. Why did you kiss Jake?"

"Josh, that was years ago, I-"

"Answer the damn question!" Josh snapped, startling you.

"Because you wouldn't make a move." you replied, stony faced. "Because I waited for almost a year for you to finally do something. I left so many opportunities open for you, flirted with you. God I was doing everything to try and get you to notice that I liked you! I gave up and then you introduced me to Jake and-"

"So you decided to fuck my twin since you couldn't have me?" Josh felt the sting of your slap before he realized what he said.

"Fuck you Josh." you seethed. "Fuck you. I love Jake, and he wasn't afraid to make a move. He wanted me, and he did something about it. He was never a consolation prize. Don't bring your bitterness to me because you couldn't pluck up the courage to do what he did." Josh was silent, his cheek still stinging from your slap.

"It...it hurts me," he looked up at you. "just how much I ache for you."

"You need to stop, then." you supplied quietly, looking at the ground. "I'm with Jake. I love him, and I'm spending the rest of my life with him. You're always going to be there, I can't stop that, and I won't. I won't put Jake through that. But you have to make that choice too." Josh stared at you, seeing the resolve in your eyes. "I love you Josh, but you lost me a long time ago. It's time to move on."

"Yeah, you're right." Josh swallowed thickly. "I need to move on."

"I'd like us to be friends again." you murmured, wiping a tear before it could fall from your eyes. "I know it will be a long time, and this is going to suck, but...I do really cherish our friendship."

"We'll get there again, one day." Josh sniffled, giving you a half-hearted smile.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Slight correction: multiple artists Lily specifically favorited have been arrested for using CSEM as references for their 3D work. Kaneda used her toddler son as reference material, including having someone have intercural sex with him for that material. Masked is in prison for using a child of a family he was friends with for reference material and he had sex with the boy in question multiple times, even though he was able to dodge charges regarding that due to oral sex not being provable in a court of law. Amri, one of two animators who made the Spike rape animation Lily faved, was convicted of violating an Estonian law that prohibits adults having kids engage in sexual activity with them, adults putting children into prostitution, and adults using children for pornographic purposes.

If you look at screenshots from Sankaku, where thumbnails flagged for review for possibly being made with CSEM are framed in yellow, there are over a dozen images flagged in every. single. account's. favorites. That's how prolific the problem is on there. You can't avoid it even if you try if you look into the loli or shota tags. The fact that they have a flagging system because this keeps happening is in and of itself really alarming.

I get that not every person who makes NSFW of a character who's underage references real minors, and a lot of horny teens make art of teen characters they like, but while I respect anon's attempts to assume good faith and assume innocence rather than guilt... on Sankaku, CSEM and NSFW are genuinely, honestly interchangeable terms a lot of the time. Three artists in one year alone who abused children aside, any site that hosts 3D, photorealistic art is going to have art made from CSEM references because artists who use CSEM as reference material can blend in and hide behind those who don't.

That's why survivors hate that site. It's not "doing survivors a disservice" to refer to that shit as CSEM because 1. a large chunk of it is 2. a lot of users looking at it are looking for CSEM they won't get in legal trouble for and 3. even the 3D renders that aren't CSEM would still look like CSEM to anyone who's not a 3D artist who can pick out all the anatomy flaws in it.

As a survivor I get why anon wants to distinguish between art and exploitation of children because yeah, some 16 year old being horny for a 15 year old character isn't CSEM but that's just not what we're discussing when it's Sankaku.

Point in case: my abuser took a picture he had where he'd came on my face and had a 3D artist make a render of it with his brother's face instead of mine. It's still on Sankaku because even when they take it down, people reupload it. It's been in circulation for six years.

Sorry for dumping this in your inbox, this kind of thing just makes me see red. I'm not a bad survivor for hating Sankaku or for calling it CSEM and neither are you.

Occult Research Reading Hour!

So I’ve started researching some occult topics (specifically Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and Alchemy) for Adjunct Anomaly, and I figured I might as well document my progress and do some general note taking here, and maybe some of yall would get a kick out of going on this journey with me.

I don’t have much of a base of occult knowledge except what I’ve picked up from novels, a few wikipedia deep dives, and following normal horoscopes, so I’m going into this more or less blind.

I’m starting out with the Pistis Sophia: The Gnostic Tradition of Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and his Disciples

The preface and introduction is primarily a description of the provenance of the original document, and is actually pretty funny. G.R.S. Mead seems like exactly my favorite kind of passive aggressive slightly petty academic. Goes off on a whole tangent that the whole document shouldn’t be called the Pistis Sophia because that name actually only applies to the second book, but this is unfortunately “a habit it is too late to change.” He refers to the document as the Askew Codex after the family who sold the document to the British Museum, and I have to admit that is an extremely cool name.

Chapter one is... dense. It’s almost entirely a list of things Jesus did *not* teach his disciples. I have almost no context for any of the things being listed here. I assume the purpose of this list is to warn people these are concepts they should probably be familiar with if they want to understand the rest of the book? For the sake of thoroughness, I’m going to try and do a quick google on each of these concepts to try and at least have an idea what’s being said here.

I can already tell googling for these concepts is not going to go well. The first and best result that popped up for “gnosticism first commandment” is a post from 2004 on a forum dedicated to discussing gnosticism, by Site Admin Tau Malachi, which says “the First Mystery, proper, is Ain Sof (the Infinite) and the First Commandment, proper, is Keter (the Crown); hense the Source and the ten Light-emanations (Sefirot).” Which clears up absolutely nothing. But Malachi continues. “In Genesis creation occurs through ten Holy Utterances, which are expressions of the ten Commandments or Light Emanations. Thus, the First Commandment is: “Let there be Light.”“ He also defines Light as being the light of consciousness, awareness. The First Commandment is also “you will have no other gods before me” Malachi says “The divine name used in the First Commandment is Yahweh Elohenu...Yahweh is the Father and Elohenu is the Son; hence the Father in the form of a Dove...” He says “there are all manner of lesser gods and goddesses, spiritual beings-forces, archons, demons and such. In order to transcend the dominion of lesser divinities and luminaries as soul must cleae to the True Light.” “In essence, the First Commandment says: Seek enlightenment and liberation above all else, seek conscious unification with God and Godhead and join your soul to no other divinity.” Then he dunks on new age pagans.

So the concept of the First Commandment has a lot going on, unsurprisingly, but it’s basically “seek enlightenment.” And the First Mystery is...uh... what you’re supposed to be seeking, I think. I need just a straight dictionary of gnostic terms here.

Four and Twenty Mysteries

So there are these 24 mysteries I guess. The First Commandment is, I think, the First Mystery, “corresponding to Keter on the Tree of Life” (found another post by our friend Malachi.) The tree of life is something I can at least look up on wikipedia.

So the spheres are the Sefirot, I think, which means according to Malachi they represent the ten Light-Emanations, or the ten commandments, or the ten utterances that brought about creation, even though there’s 11-12 of them. Apparently Keter and Da’at are interchangeable though? And it’s a diagram of the creation of the universe also, and also maybe it’s the 24 mysteries? Wikipedia made this worse actually. I think I’ll stick to Malachi. I don’t know how reliable he actually is but at least his shit seems more or less coherent? Anyway, while answering the question “what’s the twenty fourth mystery” he talks about some of the sefirot:

“Keter, in essence, is completely transcendent of creation (the cosmic cycle) and never appears within the matrix of creation, though the energy-intelligence of creation flows from it; what holds the place of Keter on the Tree of Life and in this matrix of creation is *Da’at*, which is the emanation of Knowledge, the Knower and the Known. All that we may speak of Keter, all that we see and hear and know of the First Mystery, is, in truth Da’at; Da’at is the “revealed” aspect of Keter and is the “concealed” aspect of Tiferet, the Christ Center. Thus, the Human One of Light, the Risen Christ, is also called the First Mystery and First Commandment in the Pistis Sophia.”

So the First Mystery/Commandment is also Jesus I guess. And the First Mystery is the twenty fourth mystery, maybe? I guess it would be asking too much for there to just be a list of 24 mysteries to ponder. You know you’re out of your depth when even simple explanations of concepts are nested five layers deep in other equally opaque concepts. And yet I dog paddle on.

Five Impressions

The only thing google had for this one was a weird PDF “Prayer & Study 5 Impressions of Light” Samael Christ Gnostic Wisdom Universal Christian Gnostic Chuck of Samael Christ, which says “The Five Impressions of the light are the five splits of the Virgin Divine Kundalini.” Kundalini meaning, coiled snake? divine feminine energy? Just gonna keep going and hope it makes sense later.

This may refer to the Archons- the lesser divine beings that physically constructed the universe. God’s contractors you might say.

Treasury of Light

The pleroma, which means perfection or fullness, which describes the “upper aeons”- Aeons are emanations of god, literally he kind of stretched himself out and the universe and everything is happening in these emanations. Those emanations are a place but also kind of people maybe? The veil is the barrier between the upper and lower aeons, the lower aeons being, uh, hell, which is also the material world. So we’re in hell. Makes sense.
