I just gotta say I’m not really vibing with SNW’s gorn hatred. The show runners are trying to paint them as this Ultimate Evil creature. SNW has established that Gorn are asexual (?) parasitoids. But it’s so surface level, they’re being boiled down to horror movie monsters and that’s kind of getting old. I want at least SOME questions to be answered. There’s so many that this show has raised and then just left to hang. But most of all I want to know the WHY behind their actions. It would add perspective and a much needed depth to gorn world building.

What the gorn are doing IS monstrous. But the gorn themselves are not pure evil (as much as the show runners want us to think they are). Similar to what Neera said to La’an, they’re individuals with the capacity to do good or bad things.

Currently they’re doing a bad thing, now SNW tell me WHY?

I uh- kind of poured all my chaotic energy into her, and separated her from the rest of the npc cast? Otherwise the dialogue would get totally fucked, and my ‘I need to hit this story with a drama nuke’ desire would cause trouble.

So she’s uhhh off on her adventure of a different genre. (But stuff she does Will affect things... dun dun dunnnn) but dude Wow she would be so irritated by Jun. Good thing we’re going to Sanctuary to leave them and take Preston.... OR THAT IS WHAT I WOULD SAY if she didn’t want to be anywhere near the vault!! We’re going somewhere else, babeyyyyy! Maybe talking with him and Murphy would bring some understanding (is what I would say if I were doing big character development in the beginning but we’re not!!) Shoving my desire for conflict into this.

figured out i can use the german subtitles on english-language shows i’m very familiar with for examples of specific syntax. put on i think you should leave on account of i’ve seen it a ton of times. it has occurred to me that faithfully translated, itysl would NOT be the best model for correct syntax or natural-sounding speech, however whoever wrote these subtitles has no aptitude for comedy or absurdism so it works just fine
