You exhaled with a smile at seeing the new look on your apartment. It came with a generous amount of space on both living room and bedroom. Some of the Hassaikai members helped you with all the mobile and some boxes you still had to look over to put things back in order.

Humming to a song that was stuck in your head (and he wadled away wadle wadle) you kneeled on the ground to open a tiny box to start, but you soon frowned at seeing the contents of it...

It was a tiny little glass box, with a carnation safetly placed inside of it... along, it came a bit of your treasures you savored.. a pair of white yet with tiny little delicate detailsyou knrw he knew you love it; a tiny necklace, simple yet elegant, pingent of a heart attached to it; earings with the symbol of the hassaikai and others that were little white wings...

You soon took notice of the drops of tears that were falling down on your lap and inside the boz as you picked the earrings of the Hassaikai... Chisaki gave you this when you both started dating... it was the first ever gift he gave to you along with the carnation...

'I am by far one of the most normal men considering of what the society sees me... but I hope you that you have the patience to bear with me until I give you a life and a clean world to live in until there my dear.'

The words repeated on your head as sobs started to rip from your tgroat as you clenched the earing to the point they pierced your skin enough to hurt as you curped yourself on the floor in misery...

You wanted to forgive him. You wanted to forget what happened on that disgrace if a day...

But you just couldn't. You couldn't forget thhe warth yet neither that murderous gaze Kai had on you. You couldn't forget how his rough hands that usually touched you like you were made out of glass instead grabbed roughly on your arm to the point you cried in pain.

You couldn't forget how he used his quirk on you out of anger.

"Thank you." He muttered monotonously as he grabbed the bouquet full of roses, safetly wrapped up so it couldn't come in contact with him as he exuted the shop.

Ever since the accident, he hadn't been able to get sleep without having night terrors of the terrified look you had... the screams for him to get away from you, to not wven rouch you with a single finger...

He felt worse than the dirt his shoes collected while walking on the dirty streets of where he lived.

He stared at one single rouse out of all in the bouquet he just paid for it, sighing as he adjusted a petal that was a tad bit out of place only for him to accidentaly rip it from the poor flower.

He stopped at that, watching the petal dance while falling into the ground... his eyebrows frowned as he merely sighed after closing his eyes.

"It seems everything I do I end it up ruining it on a way or another..." he whispered to himself, lowering both arms in defeat.

In others it would be seen as childish for him to get all depressed over a simple petal falling from the bouquet... but not for him.

He was the one that was abandoned on the streets to starve; he was the one whose only brought problems more than pride to the man whose took care of him as his only son... he was the one that hurt and traumatized the one he loved over a anger tantrum...

What was wrong with him..? He though, bringing his free hand ro rub his face and sigh deepely.

Although, his ears peeked up at a sound of laughter. Your laughter. His precious angel's laughter which he hadn't heard from months... he swear he felt like crying in glee as he started to almost run towards that beautiful sound he oh missed so dearly.

What wasn't he expecting was get right in front of a scene that left his heart immediately dropping to his stomach... you were indeed laughing of course.

But in the arms of another man.

On the other side of the street he saw how the taller male bear hugged you and lifted you up off the ground and twirles you around as you squealed. Scrunching up your nose at him kissing hard on your cheek.

He slowly lowered down his hand where it held the bouquet as he stared at the scene that completely torn his insodes out as his eyes carried sadness and heartache...

Despite all of those feelings, he still found himself smiling as a tear ran down his face... it was better this way. You could have a normal life, not surrounded by body guards, not have to worry about constant magging of getting clean or sickness... having someone that could give you what you deserved...

He turned his back to walk away... but what wasn't him expecting was that you had noticed him. Walking away. You furrowed your eyebrows, and against your better judgment, you started to run toawrds him, not seing the open signal neither the car that was coming...

"Ka-Chisaki!" He heard you and let out a confused sound before turning and widening his eyes in horror and dropping the amount of flowers he had at the sign of a car coming and honking.

His feet moved before his mind could, his gloves already dissapeared as he shouted foe you or the car, he didn't know anymore, to stop.

Your eyes widened at the sound of honking and before could let out a sound you were engulfed in muscular arm, bringing you close to his chest as he almosy broke his wrist when making contact with the car and overhauling it in a question of seconds.

The screams were gone for a minute and all you could hear was your and Kai's heartbeat at top speed and his uncrotoled shorts of breath.

A half of the citizens clapped their hands while others immediately left the local as the owner of the car, a young man, finally recovered from the state of panic and got down angry yelling at both of you.

"You stupid bitch! Couldn't see a damn sign that I WAS THE ONE TO GO?! AND YOU TOO YOU DICK! You conpletely destroyed my car you asshole!" The male shouted as Kai put you back on your feet as he glared daggers at the short man.

"If a car cost more than a life so there-" the car was back in shape as soons as he destroyed "You can have it. But just for you to know I am not just an 'asshole' as you reffered me." He growled between teeh as you tensed... you knew that tone of voicw way too well...

"Pff-! Yeah whatever old man-" Chisaki grabbed the hem of the shit of the man and stared dead in his eye "H-Hey! Let go basta-"

"You're bold enough ti call the leader of the yakusa a bastard, arent you?" He growled, and the life of the brunnete seemes to fade away from his eyes as he heard those words.

Before you could say something the scared male face was brought to you as Kai growled and overhauled just a tad bit of yhe hem of his shirt to prove his point.

"This you rascal. Is not a bitch. She is a woman. One that deserves respects and was almost killed by you driving at an unforgible speed you irresponsible germ. So before I lose my patience, say your apologies. Now."

The man stuttered some apologies as your eyes widened at Chisaki before he let go of the brunnete to dall on his knees qs Kai glared at him.

"Get out of my sign before I change my kind on cutting your fingers off."

You stared dumbfounded at the zpeed the little man had to enter his car and get the hell out of thwre becore you gasped at seing Chisaki starting to walk away from you once again.

"H-Hey! Chisaki!" You called but he only stopped and crouched down "You're seriously not gonna say-" you stopped when he got up and turnes to you with a brojen face as he stared at the absolute destroyed bouquet... the majority of them were sprawled on the ground and somewere broken and petals lost and sprawled on the ground and on the street.

"I'm sorry," He mumbled as you stared confusely until he spoke on a sadder tone "Those were meant for you.." you hesitantly grabbed and stared in pity yet a tad bit of ahocked at the warmth you felt on your chest.

"You.. didn't had to." He sinply blinked at your astonished expression.

"I know. But is the least I could do." He muttered before a bit of awkward silence was in the air as you stared at the white roses in your hand, threatening to appear a smile on your lips until the man just sighed and turned midway away from you.

"Have a good afternoon." You eyes widened and before you could even mutter the words wait, he just left. Hands stuffed on his pockets and head hung low.

You furrowed your eyebrows before your eyes dropped to the ground where a mess of white petals and broken roaes were sprawled...

You buffed before looking at a meteo station and walking on the direction of your new apartment.

"You know," he heard the old male's voice ring from the door way as he tried to listen to some calm music layed on his bed and documments on hand "You could take a break now at then Chisaki, maybe some tea to help calm those nervs boy." He stopped reading for a moment as he sighed, looking at Pops unamused.

"Thank you for the offer. But I shall decline."

"Son you camt expect to just succumb into depression like that and think I would allow it." The words of the epder shocked him to some instant before he hesitantly locked eyes with grey ones "I bet you havent triies to verbally apologize to them even once, am I wrong?" Pops croased his arms as he stared at the man dressed in black.

"... try saying sorry for breaking a cup. The word itself wont make the cup return to its original form, it will still be broken." He sighed as he placed the papers on the desn after getting up "This is the same situation. Is not like I deserve or neither knows how to love someone anyway."

"So you just will accept (Y/n) to walk out, end things and be like that?" The elder gesture with his hand at Chisaki "You want to end things with the one you claimed to lo-"

"I didn't want it too, OKAY?!" he banged his fist on the desk as he droppes his head with closed eyes as Pops frowned "I didn't... I.. I cant take the thought of (Y/n) leaving me... but at the same time.." the elder widened hsi eyes at the drop of water that fell on the papers, staining a bit.

"I cant take the thought..of hurting such an angel like I did again... I wouldn't forgive myself." He spoke through teeth in hopes a sob wouldn't escaped until he felt the hand of his mentor pulling him into a firm hug.

"And you say you dont know how to love, huh?" Pops muttered with a smile whipe putting all of his force on the hug as Chisaki's tears deopped silently "Idiot boy, you are just as worth to love someone as anyone else. A mistake wont lwt you stop you if you do know you were on the wrong of it and want to be better." His hand patter the brown hair of Kai much as he did inumerous times as when he was just a child.

He pushed Kai away and sadly smirked at seeing the face of Chisaki all stained with dry tears but no traces of redness... just a broken look.

"When you act like this. Like a man. Is the times I am most proud of you, my son." His breath hitched at the male's words "i will get some herbal tea wether you want it or not. And believe me boy, things are going to get better soon or later."

"... sounds impossible." He muttered as soon as the elder left the room and closed the door.

It was his birthday. Tommorow was his birthday.

You frowned before inhaling sharply. It would complete almost three months since you just stopped talking with him. You were better. But you continually beated yourself up for craving that man's touch or just for hearing some word out of him.

The tiny little presents had stopped when you read a card where he apologized to seen like a stalker and would leave you alone for you to move on. One day after the day you almost got run over by a car and he had saved you and even defended your moral from that asshole that almost shitted his pants at only knowing Chisaki was from the yakusa.

You sighed... this was the first of a ever time Kai had hurted you... and this seemed like it did not only affected you. You sure was hoping for Kai to get possesive or even threatening you to come back to him like many cases you saw on the T.v. But you should have know that by now, Kai was different.

Despite how much he denied, he was a old and gentleman at heart, always looking for ways to please you through gifts since he hadn't has any form of touching in his lifetime that he didn't saw as sick...

... that was it. You had decided over fighting with yourself over three weeks by now.

You were going to give Chisaki. Your Kai Chisaki, another chance.

Packing your purse and everything you could carry on your suitcase, you locked the door of your apartment and left on destination of the house of the Shie Hassaikai.

The gates openes coincdentaly when a black car entered and you took the chance to sneak in. Tip toeing to your once shared bedroom and letting your things over there before you jumped with a squeal at a soind of cough.

"Is such a pleasure to have you back here my dear." You smiled at the old man's face and immediately hugged him, catching the elder in surprise before he chuckled and returned your hug "Care if I may ask why are you back out of the sudden?"

"I... I missed your son. So much." You spoke in embarrassment as the elder smiled and showed with his hand the hallway.

"I guess he is on a room reading something, go text your luck." You nodded, bowing with gratitide as you hesitantly walked and indeed found Kai sitting on a sofa, leg crossed over another as he read a book.

"'The only thing we never get enough of, is love; and the only thing we dont give enough of is also love.' Tsk... not a tad bit wrong Miller sir.." you heard your boyfriend mumbling to himself as he closed the book with a sigh to rub between hsi eyebrows.

You took careful steps while arms crosses behind your back as you looked at his hunched over form and messy dark brow hair.

"I never took you the type to read love quotes." You speak quietly, giggling at how Chisaki flinched and opened his eyes wide at seeing you just mere feet away from him "Hi."

"(Y/n)?" He spoke almost in disbelief as he stood up , hope on his eye swith a fraction of second before returning to that hollow look "What.. what brings you here?"

You rubbed your arm while taking carefull steps towards him, seeing how tense he was.

"I.. think we should at least had talked.. before all of this happened at least."

"You dont have too." He immediatly replied with a stoic look "Is all clear. And I dont take your reasons away from you. You have the right to have a life of your own." You furrowed your eyebrows and honestly being hurt by his words.

"What? So.. so you are okay with this? W-With.. is all this about us?" You pointed at the two of you as sadness overtook his features.

"... I juust know is for the best. For your happiness and safety at least. You dont have to make excuses to make me feel better. I know what I did. And believe, I regret it and hate myself with every piece of my soul."

"Well... I sure cant just pat your head and tell that 'aw baby it was nothing you want a cookie?'-" you saw how he cringed at your words and looked down at his feet "But... but I can say other things." He arched an eyebrows before his breath hitched when he felt your arma circle his chest as you rested your cheek where you could hear his heartbeat...

He stood there with hands on the air in both fear of hurring you and conoekte shock until you spoke something that completely broke him.

"I forgive you Kai... we can still be together... if you want of course."

The sobs ripped from his theoat without warning as his arms came down to gently hold you as he buries his face in your for the sake of his pride.

You felt tears of your own fall as well, staining Kai black social shirt, which he wa completely hot on it, as you clinged for dear life on him, after months finally feeling secure on his arms like you used to do...

"I'm so sorry..." he mumblex, swallowing a hiccup as he rested his chin on your head as you closed your eyes to let the tears fall.

"I know..." you mumbled before parting away from hin as you both stared at eachother until you smiled sadly as he wiped your tears away as you mirrored his actions. "Who would have thought.. a simple quirkless girl making the big bad yakusa cry like a child." You giggled as you saw the hint of tiny smirk beneath that mask.

You saw how he pushed down the said article to reveap his whole handsome face as he stares back at you.

"Should we start all over then?" You offered as his eyebrows quirked up.

"What about that guy you were talking with before... the almost acvident if you could say."

"... my friend thhat was telling me about his wedding in the next month you mean?" You asked with a tiny laugh as his face dropped in realization. "Y-You thought I was dating him?!"

"Well..." he sighed, looking away from you " You had your reasons to."

He widened his eyes at the sudden touch of your hands on his jaw and almost gasped when you pulled him to crush your lips with his... finaly registering what was happening he allowed himself to close his eyes and just... enjoy the moment.

"My jelly bean." You whispered with foreheads conected as Kai scoffed with a smile.

"Dont start with the stupid nicknames now." You smiled at him before he hesitamtly put his hands on your waist "so.. about what happened-" you shushed him gently before ppacing a more sweet kiss on his lips.

"Hush, is over now. In the past. I know you didn't meaant it, and I forgive you. Dont overthinking about it okay? Is over now my love." You nuzzled on his neck as he leg out a watery chuckle and engulfing you on his arms.

".. I guess.. I guess is over." He smiled as he closed his eyes and breathe din the svent he so desperately craved for months.

of course, none other than king943 hSJADJSAJHAS. He’s a little secret I’ll let you all in on: the first person I actually noticed in TXT was,,,,,,, Kang Taehyun hSDHJAHJSDAHSA but he wasn’t my bias. I just thought he was cute (also amused me bc my BTS bias was Taehyung and I found a guy named Taehyun cute), but I didn’t stan them then. I started stanning when I saw ONE DREAM.TXT where they talked to BTS and found them really cute and endearing. I think there should be a good balance of both. Honestly, this would depend. If I’m reading a book and feeling very vintage with a hot cup of coffee, definitely a rocking chair. If I’m watching TV and basically just chilling I’d go for Bean Bag. I like maintaining the atmosphere.

I view it as in-between, because there’s always room for improvement. There’s always things to change, and consider, and make better. There’s no such thing as perfect.

favorite season and why

Winter! Even if I’ve never experienced snow or winter before, the whole idea of snow is just really fun and endearing to me. One of my bucketlists is to see snow in real life. I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve always been this person to prefer the cold over heat.

what made you enter tumblr?

I’ve always been here! Just not in kpop tumblr. I’ve since deleted my old accounts and shame  but i came back to write. It’s always been so stress-relieving to me, to write without any expectations on my back because I’m thinking about grades or a competition. Also Soobin simping is a daily thing and I gotta release it somewhere man

are you happy with where you are in life right now? why or why not?

Yes. I may not be the richest or the prettiest, or smartest or whatever, but I have a good family that loves me. I have good friends that support me and I have TXT and BTS to help me cope when things get overwhelming. I have a job that gives me a little bit of income (it’s not too common for college students here to get jobs like in the US, most of them just focus on acads) and all the means to continue my education amidst the pandemic. So really, I’m grateful for where I am now.

to see the boys in real life but for it to happen only once in your lifetime, or to meet the boys via online fan meeting as many times as you can in your lifetime? why?

Why do you have to do me dirty cj,,,,, prolly online. I may not get to hug them or anything but I get to talk to them still. As may times as I want to. In her herbalism pages youll mostly find dry or smashed herbs. Has been completely filled as from the start of the comic

STORY [Birth] She was born in the Forest of Life with the help of young forest Nymphs, it was said that demons had rushed in and drove her biological parents to hide her with the Nymphs while they took the demons away. Her parents never returned and the Nymphs went to the help of her mother on what they should do with the newly born human, her mother feel head over heals for the chubby human and decided to adopt her. When her mother brought her home, her mum was quite shocked at the idea of having a child, but slowly came to love having a daughter and believe the small human child had a magic ability. [Toddler] When Heidi was only 3 years old her mother took her to the Forest of Life to get away from her mum's training, she spent a few months there with the forest Nymphs while her mother tried to cool down her mum and ask her to wait. Her mum believed that Heidi had some kind of magical ability due to her having 'glowing' eyes when her mother brought her mum, this later just turned out to be her eyes reflecting light. [Childhood] She did start some kind of training, but not in witchcraft like her mum had hoped, instead she started to teach Heidi Alchemy. Around the same time she met Ariel and they became close friends, she got into a lot of trouble going on little adventures and getting hurt. She ran away with Ariel for a few weeks on an adventure which resulted them getting badly hurt and bruised, this cursed her mother to teacher her herblism, so that in case she ever got hurt again, she'd be able to heal herself and others. Summer Nights- Chapter Five

Ben Hardy x Reader

Summary: Just when you think you’ve finally got your perfect summer, you discover that you are pregnant and struggle with telling Ben.

A/N: Hey guys! This is the last chapter of the Summer Nights series😭, but I will be coming out with a new one soon.

You had never been a very religious person. Sure you’d been raised by an over zealous catholic mother, but her beliefs hadn’t rubbed off on you. You were a bit of a skeptic when it came to God and weren’t reall sure if he existed. But as you sat on the frozen tile of your bathroom floor, you began to pray.

“Please God, don’t let me be pregnant.”

The past month had been magical. Each day was spent splashing with Ben in the pool, giggling as he hoisted you onto his shoulders and paraded you around the shallow end. Every night, the two of you made love. Sometimes in the jacuzzi, just like your first, other times in the back of Ben’s truck. Those were your favorite, and afterwards Ben would tenderly kiss your neck as he held you in your arms and the two of you gazed at the stars.

Ever since you’d forgotten to use a condom for your first, you’d been extra careful. But now you realized that the protection had been pointless. You’d missed your last two periods, which were usually pretty regular. And you’d noticed that your normally thin stomach had gained a little weight. All of this could be normal, you reminded yourself. But you had to be sure.

Your phone buzzed, telling you that it was time to check the test. You closed your eyes, not sure if you really wanted to know. This moment could change everything. Finally, you opened them and discovered your fate.

“Shit.”

You anxiously paced up and down the warm concrete of the pool as you waited for Ben to arrive. The previous night had failed to offer you the relief of sleep which you so desperately needed. Every minute had been spent racking your brain for a solution to this problem. Shit, you hated yourself for calling it that. It wasn’t just a thing, it was a living breathing being that grew bigger within you every day. And you had always dreamed of having a cute little baby of your own. Of course, those fantasies had involved you being married. All the problems that this pregnancy would cause weighed on your mind, making you forget how happy you wished you could be.

And how would Ben react? He was so young, you both were. You knew how much he loved you, yet fear still grew in the pit of your increasingly growing stomach. Raising the child on your own would be impossible, especially since your mother would probably disown you as soon as she found out. You began to hyperventilate, and fearing that you would faint you climbed into the lifeguard chair and chewed your hair as you awaited Ben.

Finally he walked through the gate, his smile a ray of sunshine that pierced through your stormy mind. You hated that what you were about to say would make that beautiful smile vanish.

“Good morning love,” Ben said, kissing you as he climbed into his seat.

His emerald eyes sparkled with concern as he noticed your worried expression, and he extended his hand to brush your cheek.

“What’s the matter?”

You bit your lip and considered what approach to take to tell him. But as your silence made him more fearful, you decided to just come right out and say it.

“I’m pregnant.”

Everything around you seemed distant, faded into a noiseless blur as you focused intently on Ben’s blank expression. But within mere moments that gorgeous smile you loved so damn much returned to his face, brighter than you’d ever seen it before. Then he wrapped you in a large hug, nearly knocking you out of your chair.

“Careful love, cant have you hurting the baby.”

“So your not mad, or scared?”

“Darling, how could I be anything but happy right now? I’ve just found out that I’m going to have a baby with the woman I love. Nothing can ruin this moment for me.”

“What about my mother?” You joked.

“Not even her. Although she will make this situation a lot more difficult. But I’m sure that my parents will help us out. Don’t worry about a thing darling.”

“I’m not sure I can do that.”

“Try, love. I want to remember this day as nothing short of perfect.”

You grinned, erasing the panic from your mind. His happiness was the greatest cure to your current anxiety. You clambered over to him, landing on his lap with your hands around his neck.

“I love you Ben.”

“I love you too Y/N,” he said, then glanced down at your stomach and gave it a playful rub. “And I love you too my precious girl.”

“How do you know that it’s going to be a girl?” You asked with a chuckle.

“I have a feeling. And I know she’ll take after her mother, the most amazing woman I’ve ever met.”

You rested your head on his bare chest, growing sleepy. As you began to drift into unconsciousness, you felt assured that everything would be okay. It was like Ben said, perfect.

That night you sat on the edge of your bed, waiting for Ben to arrive so that the two of you could tell your parents. Without Ben there you imagined that you’d faint. You hoped that the baby would inherit Ben’s bravery rather than your cowardice. Sighing, you collapsed onto the bed, still incredulous that this was actually happening.

A knock at your window sent butterflies into your stomach, and you grinned to see Ben’s face outside. You flipped the latch and pulled it open quietly. The minute he landed on your bed you held onto him tightly, severely frightened of the impending conversation.

“Do we have to do this?”

“Yes darling,” Ben whispered, stroking your hair. “They’re your family and you love them. They deserve to know.”

“But what if they yell at us?”

“I’d be surprised if they didn’t.”

“But what if they say that they will never speak to me again?”

“Your parents love you. I don’t think that this will make them forget that. Are you ready?”

“No. Just, hold my hand, please?”

“Of course, love.”

The two of you made your way downstairs, your hand firmly gripping Ben’s. As you made your way into the kitchen where your parents sat at the table, you began to feel lightheaded. Ben smiled, mouthing ‘Its going to be okay.’ You nodded, and taking a deep breath, addressed your parents.

“Mom, dad, there’s something we need to tell you,” you said, your confidence wavering as they turned to look at you with concerned expressions.

Ben squeezes your hand and you squeezed his back. Then, closing your eyes, you finally said it.

“I’m pregnant.”

Your fathers mouth dropped open, his face frozen in shock. Your mothers contorted in anger and you took a step back, preparing for the screaming that you were sure would ensue. But, after a moment, she calmed down and stood.

“Y/N, how could you do this? How could you be so irresponsible?”

You bit your lip, racking your brain for an answer.

“Because we love each other,” Ben responded. “And that’s how we know that everything will be okay. We love each other, and we are going to love this baby so much that we’ll work hard to provide it with a great life.”

“Yeah and this doesn’t mean that I can’t still go to school,” you added. “I’ve got a friend who’s renting an apartment in LA who has offered to let me live there. She might not like a screaming baby around, but I’m sure she’ll still let us stay. And I can take my classes at night and we can work during the day. I don’t know all the details yet but I know that we can make this work, and we will.”

You smiled at Ben, and he nodded in agreement. Your mother sighed and sat down again.

“Well Y/N, I hope you didn’t expect me to jumping up and down after hearing this news. I’m not happy. But I love you and your father and I will always support you, and your new family. You’re such a strong girl, I have faith in you.”

Your eyes filled with tears, touched by your mothers kind reaction. It was much better than you had expected. You slowly crossed the room to her, reaching your arms out for a hug. She smiled and pulled you close to her, knocking the wind out of you. You chuckled and pulled away, kissing her on the cheek before resuming your place beside Ben.

“So what about you two? Will you get married?”

You turned to Ben, raising an eyebrow. Ben laughed.

“I think we will, but only when our beautiful baby is here to celebrate with us.”

You grinned and kissed him on the cheek. Maybe this summer hadn’t turned out the way you expected. But you didn’t care. The most beautiful things in life often aren’t planned.

It’s Always Been You

Synopsis: You and Brendon have been friends for years, and there has always been something between you to- but it’s never been brought to the surface. Until now. 

There he is, across the room talking to complete strangers like old friends. The room echoes with his infectious laugh. His eyes light up as he flashes you an amiable smile. You smile back before taking another sip of your champagne as the bubbles tickle your nose. No matter who you are conversing with throughout the night, and no matter where your eyes wander, they always find their way back to Brendon. The air wafts of his cologne and the comforting smokey smell he seemed to have harvested in his leather jacket as he finds his way through the crowded room. He sits on the barstool next to you- his legs so long his feet sit flat on the floor.

“Hey, having a good time?” “Yea- you must be happy to see so many people come?”

He chuckles as his hands wrap further around his half empty glass of whisky- “I’m just happy the album is finally done.” He looks at you as you bring the glass of champagne back to your lips, listening.

“Thanks again for coming, really… I know how busy you are with work and everything and you don't really know a lot of people here”

“Do you?” You challenge him, smirking.

You had attended your fair share of album release parties and they were always the same: “important” studio executives, press, and whoever management wanted to impress all packed in like sardines- pretending to be cordial and professional while meanwhile slowly losing their inhibitions at the open bar and fighting to congratulate Bren on the album they probably briefly listened to on the way there. The number of people there he actually know or cared about was probably equal to the number of drinks each executive drank at the bar.

“No, but what’s new.” He takes a sip of his watered down whisky and reiterates “I really appreciate it”

“Bren of course, I wouldn’t miss it”. Once again he flashes you a smile, this one softer and more grateful.

There has always been something about him that draws you in. It’s not just his sharp and rugged jawline, or his bright eyes and soft smile. Perhaps it's his vivacious character, or maybe his play hard work harder attitude. Maybe it was the way he always could read through your fake smiles in times of pain or the way he belted every high note in the car- but whatever it was you couldn't keep yourself away. But the unspoken connection you had toward each other remained just that- unspoken. Similar to a flame lightly flickering on a candle, never reaching a complete burn. It seemed as every near chance at exploring something more was interrupted by the complexities and trials of life. Your lives seemed to be polorazing, always pulling in opposite directions. Whether it be college, tours, recording contracts, new jobs, or study abroad your lives rarely crossed paths even opening the door for the possibility of anything to grow.

There were moments that made you yearn for his companionship as more than surface level. On his 18th birthday you drunkenly kissed beneath the blinding strobe lights and ear piercing club music that moved through your bodies on the sticky bar floor. Your lips found their way to each other as you found yourself being pushed back and forth by the crowd on the dance floor. You remember feeling the vibration through your lips as they tingled meeting his. It was magnetizing. But as you pulled away you could see in his eyes a drunken glaze of bewilderment and you accepted that he would not remember the shared moment come morning- which he did not.

But you always had these moments- just glimpses throughout the year that confirmed the care you had for one another. Before his last album press tour he stayed at your place for a few days, and you had the always saddening job of dropping him off at the airport. He pulled you into a hug saying goodbye, but that goodbye suddenly became so hard. It felt different- more painful, more important. He was only leaving for a week but as you embraced you felt his long arms wrap around you tighter. His hands clutched the sides of your oversized hoodie as he clung to you, burying his head into your neck. You backed away gently from his embrace to wipe the tears that had inconspicuously fallen from your now tear weld eyes. You jokingly nudged him to leave, but something about the way he looked at you before going through the airport doors were… different.

“How’s Scott… he was telling me how he asked you to move into his place?” Brendon asks avoiding your eyes, instead gazing at the ice in his whisky sloshing around as he swirls his glass.

“He’s good and yeah- I mean not really. He asked but I just have a lot going on right now with my job and I still haven't unpacked all my boxes as it is in my new place so… yeah maybe… I don't know”

Brendon nodded, pressing his lips together as he put his glass back down on the bar. You and Scott had been together for.. Was it 8 months already? You actually met through Brendon. He was sweet and treated you well. Your relationship was moving fast- at least you thought it was.

Brendon pushes his drink toward the front of the bartop and turns to you “We should probably get going- I have to pack everything still for my flight.” You grabbed your jacket off the back of your chair and gulped down the remainder of your drink. The ride back to your place was abnormally quiet, him only uttering a few meek responses at your attempts at conversation starters. Finally you returned to your flat and still in an uncomfortable and irregular quiet Brendon packs the remainder of his belonging into that old duffel bag he refused to replace- no matter how many times you begged. He sluggishly comes down the stairs and drops his bag by the door, the old leather folding onto itself. You walk over toward him,

“Hopefully your UBER doesn't get lost again. I don't want you to miss your flight. You have your passport right? And-”

“Y/N”... he blurts out, piercing the silence he had imposed since you left the party. He breathes heavy as his hands sink themselves into his back pockets. His head gravitates to the side exposing his sharp jawline as he looks toward his bag on the floor in front of him. In a barely audible tone he rasps “I can't do this anymore”.

You cautiously move to the edge of the staircase banister. You lean against and look at him puzzled. “Do what anymore?”

He looks around the room- avoiding your attempt at eye contact “This” he says with stronger force “This… this pretending like there isn't anything here I just.. I cant keep doing this!”. He grew into a soft yell as he continued and you can hear the frustration in his tone.

“Bren what…” you pause and catch his eyes as they now gaze at you with a piercing fierceness and purpose. “What are you talking about?”

“You want the truth- honestly? The truth is I can’t get you out of my mind. When I wake up, before I go to sleep, on tour, whatever- it’s always you. Its fucking you and I can't get you out of my fucking mind!” 

He breathes heavy as his tone changes from frustration to a softer, more eager softness. “ The way your eyes crinkle when you smile, the way you cry the instant one of those sad dog commercials come on TV, the way your voice cracks when we duet in the car. I just… I can’t stop.”

He stopped to catch his breath and re-focus. The stillness in the air was thick and heavy.

“You make me laugh harder than anyone else can- make me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt. You know me better than I fucking know myself. And you don’t take my shit- you challenge me. I don't remember when I fell in love with you. I just remember hugging you goodbye and realizing how much it was going to hurt when I had to let you go... And I know this isn’t fair- Scott is great.. He really is and I in no way want to fuck with that or your happiness but… I can't pretend anymore.  And I tried to ignore it but I can’t. After all these years I just… I don’t know what else to do. I could be fucking it all up right now but at this point I am willing to take the risk because as scared as I am to fuck this up, I am more terrified to lose you because I know I won’t find anyone like you. You are it for me”

He sighs- exhausted by his own thoughts “I don’t expect you to do anything… I don’t know what I really expected but… I just needed you to know. I just.. I need you to know what you mean to me.”

You don’t respond, the words abruptly getting lost as your mind scrambles staring at him in the still quiet resting between the two of you. Your lips part as to speak but you fail to form the words to formulate what you feel. You don’t know what to feel. You are struggling to comprehend all that just happened. As he goes to close the door, standing outside, he catches you one more look- both of you unable to find anything worthwhile to say. He shuts the door, leaving you alone in the silence. What now.

You woke up in a large boiler room and smiled wickedly, silently congratulating yourself. You had been trying for weeks to get the one and only Freddy Krueger to invade your dreams and finally, your work had paid off. You weren’t like all the normal humans he killed, but then again, you weren’t entirely human. You were a hybrid, your prime objective to kill. You had been hunting a small gang of people with only a few names and descriptions to go on which had proven harder than you originally thought. And even when you could track them, they were in a group of 9 or 10 people with weapons. You may be immortal, but they could still do you some damage. If you got the boss, you would be given £20,000 which was a modest sum for a job this big. When you had heard at a bar of the famed Freddy Krueger, dream demon, you couldn’t help but change your plan. This wouldn’t be the first time you had went to creatures similar to yourself for help. But the biggest problem was going to be trying to persuade him to work with you. If things went wrong here, you couldn’t just run. And because of the way you had completed this meant you weren’t dreaming. You were physically in his domain with nothing in the ‘real’ world. Although it may seem like it. You heard a high pitched scrapping noise and turned your head in the direction of the sound. From the shadows, he appeared. Freddy watched your hand for a moment, thinking your deal over. “I’ll give you a day. The first person on my list is Martin Flea. He’s currently on Elm Street, visiting relatives. You bring him to me tomorrow night when I go to sleep, and we have a deal. If you don’t, then the deal is off.” You then closed your eyes and woke up. as you sat up in your make shift bed, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself, hoping he would take the offer. If he did, this would be a fun business. ----------------next night----------------------- You spent the whole day wondering if he would come back into your dream with Flea. You had enjoyed his company while it had lasted and because of that, you did want to see him again. But as you fell asleep, your eyes opened and you were in a different room. This room was dark with a few candles dotted over the place. One corner was too dark to see what lurked there but in the opposite one, there was a table with 2 chairs either side. And sitting in one of the chairs was Freddy. He was leaning back with one arm over the back of the chair and both his feet up on the table. His clothes were torn and drenched with sweat as well as being covered in blood. “Nice job, Krueger.” You nod, getting up and standing on your chair. Martin began to writhe in his constraints at your approach. You were about to reach out and take the rag when you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and pull you off the chair, spinning you away from Martin to set you back on the ground. You blink and see Freddy smirk at you, his arms still around you. “Hold on there, bitch. I think we need to discuss this deal before he talks.” His voice was low, spending a shiver of pleasure down your spin but you didn’t show it. “Very well.” You giggle, twirling elegantly out of his arms and returning to your seat. You sat back down at the table, placing your head in your hands. Why did you care so much if he didn’t want to see you again?
