Random things I have realized at 1 AM; Part 1

Crowley from Good Omens was played by David Tennant, who was also the tenth doctor in Doctor Who. Crowley from Supernatural was played by Mark Sheppard, who played the character Canton Everett Delaware III, a gay Ex-FBI agent, in the Doctor Who episodes The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon. Long story short, both versions of Crowley have been on Doctor Who, which is really cool.

The fact that I realized this is yet more proof that I am a huge fucking nerd.

𝙽𝙴𝚆 𝙰𝙳𝚅𝙴𝙽𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙴 #𝟶𝟶𝟿   :   after receiving a call from a british queen   ,   the newly regenerated lady   ,    the doctor   ,   amy   ,   &   rory arrive on the orient express   (   in  space   )   to solve the problem of an escaped egyptian goddess.

𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃   &   𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   :

𝙱𝙰𝙳 𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃   :   amy catches the doctor   &   the lady mid-adventure   ,   trying to solve a problem involving a different british queen   (   who is currently a goldfish   )   ,   an unnamed prince of wales   ,   &   an unseen river song waiting outside of the tardis   ).   amy wants to talk about her uneasy sleep   ,   but the doctor calls rory for help before dragging the lady   (   who actually wants to help their friend   )   out of the tardis   &   calling out to river that they have the wrong fish.  

𝙶𝙾𝙾𝙳 𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃   :   the doctor   &   the lady return from another night out with river song   &   find amy still awake in the console room.   she describes her confusion about her life   &   her two sets of memories.   they talk before ending up at a carnival   ,   &   amy buys her younger-self an ice cream.

𝙳𝙴𝙰𝚃𝙷 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   (   𝚂𝙹𝙰   𝟺.𝟶𝟻   &   𝟺.𝟶𝟼   )   :   the doctor drops the lady off at sarah jane’s for the weekend.   only hours later   ,   unit shows up   &   declares the doctor has died in battle.   the lady   &   sarah jane are immediately suspicious   ,   but they go to the unit base 5 anyway for the funeral   ,   allowing clyde   &   rani to tag along.   they meet up with jo grant jones   &   her grandson at the funeral   ,   &   while wandering the base   ,   the lady learns rose tyler is back in this universe   &   now working for unit after tentoo’s death.   as they begin investigating   ,   they discover colonel karim   &   the shanseeth are behind faking the doctor’s death.   the doctor manages an artron energy swap with clyde   &   helps clear everything up.   eventually   ,   the shanseeth’s plan is foiled by sarah jane   &   jo.

𝙰 𝙲𝙷𝚁𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙼𝙰𝚂 𝙲𝙰𝚁𝙾𝙻   (   𝟼.𝟶𝟶   )   :   while trying to give amy   &   rory a proper honeymoon   ,   the doctor   &   the lady must stop the ship the ponds are on from crashing into a planet.   to do so   ,   the duo must convince a scrooge-lie kazran sardick   ,   who has built a machine that controls the cloud layer   ,   to allow the ship to land safely.

𝚂𝙿𝙰𝙲𝙴   /   𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴   :

𝚂𝙿𝙰𝙲𝙴   :   the lady   &   the doctor are working on the tardis.   amy comes in the console room   &   tries to grab the doctor’s attention before she notices rory is helping the time lords.   she begins to complain that she’s never allowed to help or drive the tardis.   rory   &   amy begin to banter about amy’s driving skills   &   how she cheated on her test.   the lady begins to describe the tardis driving test   ,   but before she can finish   ,   rory drops a thermal coupling   ,   causing the tardis to landing inside itself   &   creating a spacial   /   temporal loop inside the ship.   it ends with future!amy coming out of the future!tardis doors into the present!console room.

𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴   :   future!amy reveals she’s from the future   &   has walked into the current console room because   “   the exterior shell has drifted forward in time   ”.   the lady asks how amy knows that   &   what made her decide to walk into the other tardis.   amy responds that she’s just repeating herself from what she heard herself say in the past.   ponds flirt with ponds   ,   the lady comments that she hates paradoxes   ,   &   as more people keep popping out of the tardis doors   ,   the doctor keeps shoving people into the tardis doors to maintain the timeline.   eventually   ,   the doctor   &   the lady solve the issue but not without a little help from their future-selves.

𝙼𝙴𝙰𝙽𝚆𝙷𝙸𝙻𝙴 𝙸𝙽 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚃𝙰𝚁𝙳𝙸𝚂   :   jumping back   &   forth between 3 scenes   /   point-of-views   ,   the chapter begins with the ponds informing us of what the doctor has been up to the past two months since dropping them back off in leadworth for a much needed break.   meanwhile   ,   the lady has been visiting some of their other friends on earth   ———   martha   &   mickey   ,   jack   ,   rose   ,   &   sarah jane   ———   as well as finding the doctor’s clues   /   waves throughout history.   the chapter ends with the ponds   ,   the lady   ,   &   the doctor getting tardis blue envelopes   (   labelled #4   ,   #3    ,   #2   ,   &   #1   ,   respectively   ).

𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙸𝙼𝙿𝙾𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙱𝙻𝙴 𝙰𝚂𝚃𝚁𝙾𝙽𝙰𝚄𝚃   (   𝟼.𝟶𝟷   )   :   the lady   ,   the doctor   (   future   /   teselecta   )   ,   &   river song reunite in 21st century utah   ,   where   ,   after briefly catching up with each other at a diner    ,   they go on a picnic by lake silencio.   as their conversation lakeside continues   ,   the lady becomes suspicious that something is wrong   ———   mostly because the doctor is much older than he should be   &   now knows river extremely well.   an astronaut suddenly appears out of the lake   ,   surprising everyone but   ,   it seems   ,   the doctor.   the doctor gives the orders for everyone to stay back   &   not interfere   ,   &   as the lady goes to ignore this command   &   follow him   ,   the doctor stops her by giving her a kiss   &   telling her to stay with the others before he goes tot confront the strange astronaut.   the astronaut shoots the doctor   ,   &   river   &   rory have to hold the lady   &   amy back from running to save him.   the doctor is shot once more   &   begins to show signs of regeneration   ,   but before his regeneration can finish   ,   he is shot one last time by the astronaut   &   dies.  all four companions run to where the doctor is lying.   as the astronaut walks back into the lake   ,   river tries to shoot it   ,   but none of her shots hit the mark   ,   &   the astronaut disappears into the lake.   the lady   &   amy are on the ground next to the doctor’s body.   amy pleads for him to wake up   ;   meanwhile   ,   the lady sits there silently   ,   tears on her face   ,   as she holds his hand that adorns his wedding ring.   the old man   (   canton everett delaware iii   )   ,   who had appeared in his truck moments before the doctor’s death   ,   walks up to the group   &   introduces himself   &   confirms that the man lying on the ground is the doctor.   using the gasoline tank canton brought   &   a boat rory found   ,   the group gives the doctor a proper funeral pyre.   as the doctor’s body burns   ,   river talks to canton   &   notices the envelopes had been numbered   (   the lady   =   #2   ,   river   =   #3   ,   the ponds   =   #4   ,   &   canton   =   #5   ).   everyone but canton returns to the diner   ,   &   river attempts to determine who else was invited   ,   but amy doesn’t want to hear it.   playing with the doctor’s ring in her hand   ,   the lady   ,   although   ,   remaining silent through this whole affair   ,   wonders quietly where the tardis is   &   why the doctor’s screwdriver wasn’t in his jacket pocket when she looked before the funeral.   river   &   rory find the envelope labelled #1 on the back table   &   ask the waiter who was sitting there.   in comes the doctor   (   present   )   from the back of the restaurant   ,   shocking everyone   ———   the least surprised appears to be the lady   ,  who has quickly taken the future doctor’s ring off her finger   &   stuffed it into her pocket upon seeing the present!doctor.   as each of the others remark on the doctor’s   “   shocking   ”   reappearance   ,   the lady stays towards the front of the diner   &   away from the group   ,   watching but not saying anything.   even before river prompts amy to inquire about the doctor’s age   ,   the lady realizes the doctor in front of them is younger than the doctor they saw on the beach   ———   it’s his eyes that give it away   ,   that   &   he is still wearing his wedding ring.   the doctor   ,   confused   ,   asks what they’re all doing here   ,   &   river answers.

the group all end up in the doctor’s tardis   ,   where amy   &   river   &   rory all duck under the console to speak privately without the doctor overhearing.   the lady doesn’t join them   ,   however   ,   &   sits on the console seat   ,   watching the doctor work on the tardis.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   ,   not looking at her as he types at the console   :   are you going to tell me what happened   ?

𝙻𝙰𝙳𝚈    ,  shrugging   &  wringing her hands  :   you heard river   ———   spoilers.   telling you would disrupt the timeline.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   :   spoilers imply 𝚒 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 or involved in some capacity.

𝙻𝙰𝙳𝚈   :   perhaps a future version of you was.   perhaps you weren’t.   you know either way that 𝚒 𝚌𝚊𝚗’𝚝 𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚢𝚘𝚞.

the two fall into silence again before the doctor lets out his annoyance at being ignored   &   calls the trio back up from their hiding spot.   he explains the tardis is wanting to take them to washington dc 1969 in its attempt to find canton   ,   but he isn’t taking them there.   instead   ,   the ponds were going home   &   river was going back to stormcage   &   if lady wanted to come with him   ,   they had biplane lessons   ,   or knitting lessons   ...   or both   ,   to get to.   everyone but the lady seems surprised by this   ,    but the doctor is quick to fill the silence once again.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   :   what   ?   a mysterious summons.   you think i’m just going to go   ?   who sent those messages   ?   i know you know.   i can see it in your faces.   don’t play games with me.   don’t ever   ,   ever think you’re capable of that.

river tells the doctor that he has to trust them this time   ,   but he isn’t having it.   the doctor asks river who she is  ,   &   river remains silent.   the lady reprimands him   ,  telling him he knows she can’t answer that.   he turns to her.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   :   are you going to tell me what happened   ?

𝙻𝙰𝙳𝚈   :  i already gave you my piece.   you know i can’t.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   ,   scoffing   :   right.

they stare down before amy speaks up.

𝙰𝙼𝚈   :   trust me.

𝙳𝙾𝙲𝚃𝙾𝚁   :   okay.

𝙰𝙼𝚈   :   you have to do this   ,   &   you can’t ask why.

not happy about it but trusting his companion   ,   the doctor takes them to dc   ,   where they land in the oval office.   the doctor tries to turn the tardis on stealth mode   ,   but the lady   &   river have to fix it behind him to turn it invisible   &   put the engines on silent.   the doctor walks into the oval office   ,   leaving everyone behind as he goes to survey the area first.   he finds nixon   &   canton listening to a recording of a little girl.   the doctor takes notes but is soon discovered by the two americans.   the secret service gets called in   ,   &   the doctor gets pushed to the ground before river   &   the lady makes the tardis visible again   &   rush out the ponds trailing behind them into the oval office.   the dctor announces they’re from scotland yard   ,   here to help.
