2 days before submitting the first chapter of your dissertation on early christianity is a very normal time to learn the abbreviation for the book of genesis actually
#mortified#im assuming this is what gn is referring to here anyways#i hate catholic universities and their publications this is what your abbreviations section is for#<- says guy who doesnt complain about the usage of il. od. and aen. and has just wandered beyond usual discipline#that being said fuck all style guides i think doing a longish form footnote before moving to shortened author (date) and/or initials does#make for a better reading experience but whatever#capstone

(guy who just learned about design friction and can't stop thinking about it) i've never played a p3 before reload so it's interesting to see the disk horse around remakes. not done with the game yet so haven't formulated thoughts but it kinda makes me wish i had owned any of the platforms for other versions to compare
#i want to play femc.#i will say. the ability to access the game in the first place is nice.#jae plays p3r#sorry i'm doing my senior capstone on user interfaces and thinking about design friction changed the game for me#only semi-related: i am a guy who played smtv when it came out and i don't think i'm going to shell out for vengeance#like if i had played base p5 i dont think i would have bought royal#same with nocturne i think.#does this post have a point? not really.#there Is something to be said about an experience as it was originally made complete with original intent and limitations#something something. ship of theseus

Remembered while recording how my capstone advisor was adamant that “no body, no crime” was based on a true story from Taylor’s life.
#taylor swift#no body no crime#she literally hadn’t heard much about Taylor before my capstone#so for her to be like this is based on an experience of Taylor being abused and I was like ?????#and wasn’t getting that it was just like a country music thing

One funny piece of media criticism floating around Tumblr dot hellsite dot com is talking about making movies that are just fun, The Mummy with Brendan Frasier being a premiere example. Generally the way it goes is, "they don't have to be good, just fun." Thing is, making a fun movie like The Mummy is a lot of work. Exciting adventure stories don't just happen by accident, and part of the immense skill of such movies is making it all look easy.
I'm sometimes taken off guard by a movie that's better than expected - usually because they seem low budget and the summary sounds boring. Sometimes it's because it looks like another boring and cliche action movie. Plenty of those exist too, it's not like thousands of creators are falling ass backwards into brilliant filmmaking, Venom is an outlier. But it's really common to experience the surprise of audiences about some kind of big dumb action movie, and I think that's because so many action movies are big and dumb, few people understand that good action movies are smart.
You know what's good about the Mummy? Why it's good? Because it's a movie that knows every genre cliche the audience is waiting for, and chooses its moments to break those cliches with great care for maximum impact. It's good because it's direction knows how to build up great tension with the plot, through foreshadowing, through audience awareness, through genre standards. And the release is beautifully controlled. The "wrong side of the river" line is funny under any circumstances but it drops as a capstone on a very intense escape scene which makes it KILL, every time. When John Hannah's character turns out to be, against all the pre-loaded genre expectations and foreshadowing, actually a generally honest stand up guy, it's so much fun! Not by accident though. It's on purpose. It's a big dumb action movie but it's a big dumb action movie made by people who are very very good at making big dumb action movies.
That's really the thing of it all. There's now a hundred MCU movies that just turned The Mummy into a formula, they've carved out all the one liners and twists and turns mechanically, but they're not big dumb movies, because they're not allowed to be made with the kind of adoration of the genre that you get in smaller films, films that aren't locked into a three year product rollout plan. But you can still get big exciting movies if you look around for em. They didn't go away, they just got pushed out to the edge.
But I gotta beg again - take the time to recognize that when those movies that seem made without a thought or a care somehow manage to hit with you, give you a great big grin and a sense of excitement, remember that's not an accident or luck, someone probably plotted that out and made it fun on purpose, with care.

Extremely bold of employers in the games industry to insist that the capstone project of my school's game design major "doesn't count as professional experience" (even tho the whole point of the project is to GET PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE TO PUT ON YOUR RESUME) despite
literally having to register an llc for our dev team, legally making it a business that pays taxes just like any other game company
using industry standard programs like unity/unreal, maya, zbrush, etc etc
publishing our game on steam and promoting it with trailers on youtube, twitter accounts dedicated to promoting it, etc (public promotion of the game is required)- some teams in the past have even charged money for their games tho most release it for free
having all projects overseen by industry veterans who have had years if not decades of experience, to make sure the games are up to industry standards (for an indie team anyways, obvs we're not churning out AAA games)
Hell, just this year one of the seniors' games got so popular bloody Polygon wrote about it, and another game got a ton of exposure due to some famous streamer playing it. The teams work for a full year on this game, it's not some shite game pumped out for a game jam in a month. To say it's not valid experience is diminishing the hard work and effort we put into our games.
#the game design program is set up so that by the time undergrads finish we'll have AT LEAST 3 published games to put on our resume#I can see the first two games not being counted bc they're made in a semester and the teams arent registered as an llc#but the capstone game ABSOLUTELY should count as professional experience#I've seen kids easily put in 40+ hr/week into their games#i've seen ppl in the games industry be like 'jfc let these kids into entry level positions they clearly have talent'#but employers are like uhhh actually no ❤️#entry level job ❤️ 40k per year must have 3+ years of PROFESSIONAL experience ❤️#also you need to know not just industry standards but also stuff OUTSIDE THE JOB DESCRIPTION#being a renaissance man is REQUIRED now. sure it's good to know a bit of everything but studios want you to be EXPERTS#shut the fuck up usagi

earlier this month i had the amazing opportunity to spend a week in southeastern alaksa for school (the last 3 credits of my associate's degree program!) learning about the ecology and history of the region.
it was a completely fucking jam-packed 8 days of hiking, tidepooling, fishing, kayaking, sightseeing and immersing in a part of the country you literally can't drive to (only fly or boat to). and at the end of it all i was able to contribute a little piece of my art to the lodge, presenting Salmuel the giant papier mâché salmon to our lovely hosts as thanks!! it was truly an unforgettable experience and the perfect capstone to my little degree program.
...but i think next time i have to bring a delicate art piece on a plane, i'll make one that's a little smaller and easier to handle LOL
#my art#art#sculpture#salmon#papier mâché#paper mache#crying and throwing up it was such a cool trip 😭😭😭#not featured are the moose grizzly and minke whale sightings!!! also 1 million sea otters and bald eagles.#and the slugs#we got sooo lucky with the wildlife#and the weather! we actually had sun a couple of days lol

Let's Explore a Metal-Rich Asteroid 🤘
Between Mars and Jupiter, there lies a unique, metal-rich asteroid named Psyche. Psyche’s special because it looks like it is part or all of the metallic interior of a planetesimal—an early planetary building block of our solar system. For the first time, we have the chance to visit a planetary core and possibly learn more about the turbulent history that created terrestrial planets.
Here are six things to know about the mission that’s a journey into the past: Psyche.

1. Psyche could help us learn more about the origins of our solar system.
After studying data from Earth-based radar and optical telescopes, scientists believe that Psyche collided with other large bodies in space and lost its outer rocky shell. This leads scientists to think that Psyche could have a metal-rich interior, which is a building block of a rocky planet. Since we can’t pierce the core of rocky planets like Mercury, Venus, Mars, and our home planet, Earth, Psyche offers us a window into how other planets are formed.

2. Psyche might be different than other objects in the solar system.
Rocks on Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Earth contain iron oxides. From afar, Psyche doesn’t seem to feature these chemical compounds, so it might have a different history of formation than other planets.
If the Psyche asteroid is leftover material from a planetary formation, scientists are excited to learn about the similarities and differences from other rocky planets. The asteroid might instead prove to be a never-before-seen solar system object. Either way, we’re prepared for the possibility of the unexpected!

3. Three science instruments and a gravity science investigation will be aboard the spacecraft.
The three instruments aboard will be a magnetometer, a gamma-ray and neutron spectrometer, and a multispectral imager. Here’s what each of them will do:
Magnetometer: Detect evidence of a magnetic field, which will tell us whether the asteroid formed from a planetary body
Gamma-ray and neutron spectrometer: Help us figure out what chemical elements Psyche is made of, and how it was formed
Multispectral imager: Gather and share information about the topography and mineral composition of Psyche
The gravity science investigation will allow scientists to determine the asteroid’s rotation, mass, and gravity field and to gain insight into the interior by analyzing the radio waves it communicates with. Then, scientists can measure how Psyche affects the spacecraft’s orbit.

4. The Psyche spacecraft will use a super-efficient propulsion system.
Psyche’s solar electric propulsion system harnesses energy from large solar arrays that convert sunlight into electricity, creating thrust. For the first time ever, we will be using Hall-effect thrusters in deep space.

5. This mission runs on collaboration.
To make this mission happen, we work together with universities, and industry and NASA to draw in resources and expertise.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory manages the mission and is responsible for system engineering, integration, and mission operations, while NASA’s Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Services Program manages launch operations and procured the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
Working with Arizona State University (ASU) offers opportunities for students to train as future instrument or mission leads. Mission leader and Principal Investigator Lindy Elkins-Tanton is also based at ASU.
Finally, Maxar Technologies is a key commercial participant and delivered the main body of the spacecraft, as well as most of its engineering hardware systems.

6. You can be a part of the journey.
Everyone can find activities to get involved on the mission’s webpage. There's an annual internship to interpret the mission, capstone courses for undergraduate projects, and age-appropriate lessons, craft projects, and videos.
You can join us for a virtual launch experience, and, of course, you can watch the launch with us on Oct. 12, 2023, at 10:16 a.m. EDT!
For official news on the mission, follow us on social media and check out NASA’s and ASU’s Psyche websites.
Make sure to follow us on Tumblr for your regular dose of space!

I’m watching a (3hr) discussion on megadungeons as a concept for modern d20 games on a youtube channel called Knights of Last Call, and I’m enjoying it a lot, because it does explore a couple of points that I’ve been very much looking for. Namely, the idea that megadungeons should be there to enable and reward exploration. Which means, among other things, there can’t be a time-pressure meta plot (you have to get to the bottom of the dungeon to stop the lich before he destroys the world), and that the game/DM needs to explicitly reward (with xp, magic items, etc) the act of exploration, not the act of killing things while exploring.
Because the thing I always found enchanting about the idea of massive dungeons and complexes was the idea of going in to see what’s down there. Not being forced in for a plot, but just … because I’m curious, and I want to see what’s there. And he discusses how modern d20 games like Pathfinder and 5e can actually be better for that than OSR-type games because characters are more powerful and sturdy and can survive doing that. You can explore, and (most likely) have a decent shot of surviving said exploration. You can take risks because you’ll survive a broader range of risks.
The thing with a megadungeon is that it’s there to be explored, and so to encourage, enable and reward exploration for people who want to play that kind of game in the first place, you have to a) not penalise taking risks and going exploring by making it instantly lethal to try and go anywhere, and b) actively reward going exploring by making it the main way your character gets more cool things, such as magic items and/or new abilities from levelling up.
(And, he’s less explicit about this, but also making the rewards self-contained to the dungeon, things you find and gain in the dungeon, and not things you’d have to bring outside the dungeon to benefit from. So cool items you can keep and use, experience to level up, knowledge that would allow you to access new areas, etc, not things like gold where you’d have to go back outside to spend it, or quests that you have to go to external parties to be rewarded for).
The discussion goes into some detail about potential ways to do this, and potential problems with various methods, but overall I just really like the tone of the discussion. Because that very much is a thing I’ve been looking for for a long, long time. A game that rewards the simple desire to go somewhere and see what’s there. I don’t want to explore a massive underground complex because there’s a bad guy down there and I need to stop him, I want to explore it because there’s rumours that there’s a vast underground sea down there where creatures that haven’t been seen in aeons are rumoured to still live (blame reading Journey to the Centre of the Earth as a kid), or to discover why there’s a massive dungeon down there and learn who built it, or just because it’s a big strange space and I just want to see what it looks like.
He does talk about how you make dungeons interesting enough to justify that, things like thematically-distinct areas (like the underground lake, or the weird sunless forest, or the ghoul town, etc) so that it’s not one endless slog of ‘10ft wide corridors and stone rooms’, and to make it interconnected so that the players have full choice of where they go and what risks they want to take (enabling them to skip ahead difficulty levels, or retreat if need be, or escape areas that they’re not enjoying). And to possibly put in some distinct … not end goals, but capstone events, like a boss monster very deep down, that might feel like an ‘ending’ if the party wants to ‘finish’ the dungeon. Not something that will ‘burst out and destroy the world’, but something contained to the dungeon that a party could triumph over if they want a ‘final challenge’ sort of feeling. But one that’s optional, a challenge they can take up if they want to, not a prerequisite for getting out of the dungeon or completing a large goal, but just a challenge that exists if they want to take it on.
Because, and I do agree, a lot of the problem with exploring in D&D is not necessarily that there’s no mechanical support for it, in terms of things like skills, etc, but because there’s no reward for it, and in terms of structured adventures, there’s often either narrative or mechanical punishment for it (running out of time on the baddie, or running into something too lethal for your party to handle with no option to nope out). A megadungeon as a concept is a cool environment where exploration is the whole point, and the only point, and if you take care not to put an external pressure on it (‘kill the lich or else’), then then party has time to poke around and decide what they want to see and what risks they want to take (or nope out of). Especially in something so big that there’s no real chance of finishing it, so there’s no ‘100% completion’ pressure, just a big buffet of options for people to pick and choose from.
(There are so many things in 5e that would be excellent for an exploration game, especially in terms of spells and magic items, but because combat is so much the driving force of the standard mode of play, people are reluctant to ‘waste’ spells known/prepared and/or items attuned on things like Alarm or Water Walk or Purify Food & Drink or non-combat items like Candles of the Deep or Foldable Boats or Slippers of Spider Climbing when those slots could be used for combat spells/items instead. But if exploration gets you XP, and if you can nope out of combat as required because there’s no massive stakes/story riding on it, then you’ve got more room for these things).
There’s also an in-depth discussion on ‘game balance’ and CR, and why megadungeons might not necessarily require them, for the simple fact that everything in the dungeon is optional and not required to forward the story/plot, so you can try challenges way above your level if you’re feeling frisky that day, and just nope out and go a different way if it starts really not working for you. Which I feel is a fun point.
There is a point that this is a specific mode of play and not meant to be the point of the game in general. It’s specifically for people (like me) who want exploration as its own point and reward, without needing a quest or storyline attached, and for whom combat is an element/hazard/complication but not the point. But. If you are specifically doing a MEGADUNGEON, it’s an interesting look at things to consider and what people might want out of a massive self-contained dungeon that’s going to be the whole point of the campaign in and of itself.
Where he loses me is when the discussion moves to how to prevent the '15 Minute Adventuring Day', where people go in, do a room or two, and then go back out to rest and heal and resupply, instead of staying in the dungeon to keep exploring. And for some reason allowing healing is bad for this? If you want them to stay in the dungeon, how is it bad to let them heal in the dungeon? Set up factions to trade with and potential base camp locations in the dungeon to let them heal and resupply and set up safe areas so that they can stay in there potentially infinitely? Though it’s possible that I missed something about his point there.
But yeah. I love the idea of megadungeons, vast areas to explore just because they’re there, and I love the idea of game modes with all the cool abilities and spells and powers of D&D BUT where the thing that’s rewarded is exploration and interacting with the environment rather than combat.
(There’s also … I think this also reminds me of the story arc vs episodic discussion regarding TV, where I genuinely like episodic series equally to story-line driven ones, and I think that in games it also works, where there’s a BIG SETTING and the point is to go out and have episodic adventures in it. A loose sandbox like a megadungeon where there’s no plot, you’re just exploring and seeing what you encounter day to day (and possibly developing plots as you interact with individual areas/factions and then connect them to other ones) is also an excellent way to play a game).
Anyway. Forgive the sidebar ramble.
#ttrpgs#d&d#pf2e#megadungeons#dungeons#exploration#i just really want a game that lets me explore really cool magical environments#where my character develops and gains abilities and cool new things as a result#you know?

Our love is god|Homelander x Reader
Warnings: Canon typical violence (though i could easily classify this as yandere homelander, but again, its homelander,we know how pookie is), reader gets SAd (booty slap and unfortunate comments),murder, they kiss in a sweet way, ididots in love, reader sort of let herself be tainted to be like homelander.
Summary: On the thrill of your new dream job, being closer and closer to homelander himself was not on your mind. Sooner rather than later you realize that for him this isn't just about attraction. Maybe you realized it too late.
A/N: English is not my first language so be kind! reader is coursing pharmacy in this because thats what im coursing and us pill making girlies dont get the attention we deserve. also this is being typed from the computer lab im supposed to be doing my capstone project in. Im too much of a theater kid to let the chance of writing this slide.
------------------------------------------------------
That wasn't supposed to happen. It wasn't how it started and it was definetely not what you expected to happen after your last talk.
Let's get it from the begining shall we?
After being accepted into your dream pharmacy college, getting an internship at Vought labs was the best news of your life. You didn't even cared about looking like a rookie, putting on your best pair of pants, slicking your hair back on a neatly perfect bun,and even cracking up your brand new lab coat your mother gifted you, your full name beautifully embroided on the breast pocket.
Your stomach burned with cold waves of nervousness on the walk through the sterile white halls that connected the lab with the rest of the building. Ashley, the CEO who gave you the tour, walked fast, making it hard to keep up the pace, that was until a strong earth breaking call of her name stopped her dead on her tracks.
From the corner of the long hall, a red white and blue shadow struted to the tall woman next to you like a raging bull, angered by something you couldn't quite comprehend, since all the words coming from his mouth, fell silent on your ears. Now, you weren't the type to swoon over blonde muscular super heroes, but seeing THE Homelander in person standing in all his glory in front of you was a complete different experience.
The sparkle in his cerulean blue eyes was much more shinier, his hair was flawless even in its messy hairdo, the tight material of his suit making his already toned chest and thighs the much more visible. You only snapped out of your haze when you realized he was also staring at you.
"Well? You're not gonna introduce us?" he asked Ashley, now in a polite tone, hands neatly crossed in his back, never taking his analizyng gaze off of you.
"The new intern?" She asked with surprised confusion, his sudden interest in someone other than himself being foreign to her.
"A new addition to the ever growing family huh? Welcome sweetheart! I'm sure i don't need presentations, and your name is?"
Being Homelander's new sweetheart protegee was not in your bingo of things you'd face on this internship, however, being the only female in the lab crew was expected as it has happened a lot more than you'd like. Only this time it was far worse than the last few.
You were used to being treated like a small little thing who couldnt lift heavy boxes of chemicals,or the constant help offer when dealing with machinery, what you hated the most was definetely having all your calculus double checked or being treated like a human dishwasher when it came to the time of cleaning up beckers and tube tests. but this time they have gone way too far.
It was Kurt. Always fucking kurt. He noticed you from day one, plaguing you with suggestive jokes, whistles, and not so subtle glances at your behind when you bend over to check on something.
You could relevate it,turning a blind eye to that, thinking only about the stable payment, and how bright your curriculum will be with Vought labs experience in it. But having your behind smacked because "Sorry sweetheart! Couldnt help having a feel with such a juicy peach around all day,it was bound to happen sometime huh?" as Kurt laughed and so did his equally idiotic mates, that was where you drew the line!
After the initial pang of shock dissipated all you managed to do was excuse yourself and sprint out of the lab, followed by the laughter and whistles mocking her reaction, still in gloves and a hair net, running up the halls to the breakroom;she shut the door tightly leaning on it sighing her frustrations out.
"Hey" the overly enthusiastic salute from the blonde snapped her back to the present moment "you look different, did something new to your hair?" he asked with a grin, messing with her about the safety gear still on.
"very funny!" you retorted ironically, the sound of latex gloves being snapped off filling the room as she slumped on the couch "what are you doing here anyways?" she asked.
"I was waiting for you." you blood ran cold.
Your feeling for him have been on a constant growing tanget;his daily good mornings, good afternoons and good evenings, always accompained of an overpriced coffe or a sweet treat, the way he'd walk you from the parking lot to the lab each morning, and from the lab to the parking lot after your every shift.
"what for?"
"we need to talk; I need to talk to you..." oh god it's happening,it's really, truly, undeniably happening right in front of your own two eyes.
"right...what is it you need?" you kept your voice steady besides the shaking on your leg.
"I...youre a very different person...from anyone ive ever met..." confusion took your features, were you being called weird again? He was quick in reassuring you, realizing you were getting the wrong idea.
"i mean it in the sense that you make me feel different...more..weak...pathetic..." "soft" you mirrored the voice coming from him.
To say you were surprised would be the understatement of the century. Nerdy girls like you don't have their feelings reciprocated so often, specially not by muscular prince like super heroes,it felt like something was cosmically out of place, your ever so rational brain would have detect something was fishy, had your horrible day not clouded your mind leaving you desperate for a hero.
"wow i...i never expected to hear something like this...specially from you...i thought...i thought i was delusional for catching feelings so easily" you chuckled shyly avoiding his gaze from your blossoming cheeks.
the blonde man's ears perked up at hearing your mention of feelings, that was all he needed to hear to ignore the trivial worries about feeling too much "human emotions",all he cared about was that you felt it too,and now he had a green light.
he grabbed your chin with a gentleness foreign to him, lifting up your head so you could look him in the eyes, the few seconds you spent looking at each otheer felt like hours, until the thin glass wall broke and he sealed both your lips. the kiss was slow, love and adoration dripping from the way he touched you, thumb circling your hips on a sweet caress.
okay, that kiss was definetely not on your bingo, but that doesnt mean you didnt liked it. teh two of you felt closed off in a small world that only fit you two eye to eye, two smiling idiots who took to long to kiss and had no idea on what to say to each other.
"yknow being here with you like this...it makes me nearly forget the crappy day i had today" you say in a low dreamly voice, that shiny glint in your eyes.
but johns smile faltered for a moment. he was not happy at all to hear you had a bad day, in his eyes, his perfect angel deserved nothing but absolutely perfect days 24/7, even if he had to make sure of it himself.
"what do you mean crappy day? what happened? are you okay?" he pulled away from you slowly to look you up and down to make sure you didnt have any injuries or any visible issue.
at his concerned look, you knew you fucked up. its not that he was a bad person, really, but when people he loved seemed to be in tough situations he tends to...take things a bit too far...maybe way too far sometimes.
"im okay dont worry, its just...being the only girl in a lab full of men can be more challenging than i thought" the ache in your heart didnt allow you to lie to him about what truly occured.
"what have those fucking nerds done to you?! i swear baby theyre just jealous of how much brighter you are that they could ever be!" he holds your face with both his hands; its impressive how fast his mood soured and how passionate he could be about defending you, yet none of this could let you not sense the hidden compliment in his words.
he found you smart. a man. *the* man. he found you smarter than any other scientist on the lab; smarter than any other *men* in the lab.
"you...you really think im that smart?" you asked softly, feeling truly appreciated since the first day of this god forsaken job. his eyes softened once again as he stroked your cheek with his thumb.
"i think youre the smartest girl in the whole wide world...and i think those idiots deserve to be punished..." both his voice and eyes darkened at the mention of it.
"what do you mean? youre gonna fire them?" concerned laced your voice, although you loved the thought of those disgusting pervs getting what they deseve, you cant help but worry about their oblivious wives and children at home relying on their monthly paycheck.
"we could make them think i will" he said with a malicious grin "if i give them a talking to stern enough im sure theyll never dare say a word to you anymore" he inched closer to you, rubbing your cheek once more with pure adoration in his ways "they made you cry...but that will end tonight"
when you re-entered the lab saying all the lab staff had been called up to the roof of the building, you felt like playing a high school again after all these years. like an evil prom queen being mean to the nerds on the science club.
on the elevator ride tall figures with lab coats still gribbed devilishy while looking at you, as if sensing the humiliation radiating from your body, the only thought conforting you for being in a situation like this was the thought of homelander being upstairs to defend you.
like a damsel in distress you kept your head down the whole elevator way up,sighing audibly in relief when the doors slide open to reveal the roof and of course the man you were craving to see standing there,on his back, imposing as ever with the american flag swaying on his big broad shoulders.
he turned around at the sound of your arrivals, smiling fakely like all the tv presentations hes ever done.
"ah! just the people i wanted to see! the big brains in the building huh? hows my favorite lab rats doing?" he asks moving theatrically, patting the back of the very confused men that looked around trying to understand what the hell was going on.
"so, it has come to my attention this lovely lady right here" he stood tall behind you rubbing your shoulders, his imponent presence nearly engulfing you whole "has been having a hard time when it comes to peacefully doing her job while sharing a lab with you" his fake smile not stopping the sense of an over laying threat behind those words.
kurt was yet again the first one to retaliate.
"shes having a hard time?" kurt scoffed "think about trying to focus on dammed pills while shes in there with us,am i right?" he trid to evoke a commotion amongst his peers, not as succeful as it was in the lab now that it was common knowledge that the homelander himself was not on board with you being picked on.
"i beg you pardon?" asked john, voice a bit more menacing now that he had a suspicion of what was really going on.
"hey,i get it man,man to man,ill lay off" kurt really didnt knew when to shut his big mouth did he? "lucky you to that all that for yourself" he motioned his hands in your reaction, referring to your body as if it was a product to be auctioned off. "i mean,id be mad too, if i founbd out someone took a feel of my girl's peach yknow?" she said with a low ironic chuckle.
okay, maybe it was your fault, maybe you should have been more direct as to what happened earlier, maybe you should have taken it to maeve or even ashley instead of him,or maybe you shouldnt even have mentioned anything to the blonde, but now it was too late for any of that.
you could feel his chest get tougher behind you as he inhaled sharply trying and failing to control his anger towards the imprudent man; next thing you could feel was a warm feeling by your right year,as if the sun had changed positions just to warm you up,turns out it was john, seconds before turning kurts head into a pile of blood and brain mush.
guts spilled evrywhere, and besides the yelling all around and the fact you could feel a piece of someones previous cerebellum stuck to your cheek, you felt frozen,as john chased the remaining of the scientists likie a mad man.
chris and brandon were now nothing but bodies on the roof, one propped up on tha wall gurgling on his own blood as lots of it were draining from the whole on his throat,as the other had his neck bent in such an inhuman way he passed with eyes wide open.
enraged and with glowing red eyes the supe approached trent, the last man alive as he crawled pathetically on the floor covered on his peers blood and guts, while his own wounds left him on the break of death.
"I DONT UNDERSTAND!" trent screamed, seeing as the number one role model americas hero just brutally murdered threee people in front of him because of some woman.
"we can start and finish wars,so dont go around starting what you cant finish" he got dangerously more close to the frightened dying man that "you see" he continued, surprisingly calm for someone commiting horrid acts "the dinosaurs choked on the dust, they died because god said they must...and so will you
"WHAT DOES THAT EVEN ME-" trent didnt have a moment to finish his sentence a red laser bean crossed his heart apart.
it took moments of silence for you to register the whole thing was over, that everyone you worked with tha past few months were now dead, and that the man you le was the responsible one for all of that.
a horrid and late scream of fear and anguish left your throat caughting johns attention, he approached you in a much calmer way he had the men before crading you in his arms as you shook in confusion.
"WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE?!"
Following the sound of your horrified voice he peulled to look at you, bloodstained hands caressing your cheeks.
"I worship you" he muttered with as much sincerety in his heart as he could have "i'd trade my life for yours. And now that they disappeared,we can raise our new lifes here. i can make it so that youre the new head of the labs, would you like tha, huh? my smart girl, the head of vought labs, doesnt that sound beautiful?"
It did sound beautiful, your name ,as the head of the biggest pharmaceutical industry in the country, maybe of the whole world, and the men that tormented you everyday would never do it again, to you or anyone else. Aand youd do all that with the man you loved the most by your side everyday.
The entirety of the situation wasnt feeling as bad anymore, the red on your clothes being nothing but a sticky, crinsom act of love.
"Honey don't you see it? with your brains and my strenght, we can do anything we desire,we'll build the world again! Honey..." he looked so deep in your eyes it got you dizzy for a while "our love is God"
