Navigating the Seas: What Are Sea Captains Called?
The vastness of the open sea can be both thrilling and intimidating. It takes a skilled captain to navigate through the unpredictable waters and lead their crew safely to shore. But what exactly are these seafaring leaders called? In this article, we explore the various titles used for sea captains and their roles.
Captain
The most common title used for a sea captain is simply "Captain". This term is widely recognized and used across different maritime industries. A Captain is responsible for the overall operation of the vessel and the safety of its crew and cargo. They are also responsible for navigating the ship and making decisions regarding the route and speed of travel.
Master
Another common title for a sea captain is "Master". This term is often used in the context of larger ships, such as cargo vessels or cruise liners. The Master is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, including navigation, communication, and management of the crew.
Skipper
The term "Skipper" is typically used for smaller vessels, such as yachts or fishing boats. The Skipper is responsible for the overall operation of the vessel, including navigation, maintenance, and safety. They may also be responsible for managing the crew and ensuring that all tasks are carried out effectively.
Commander
In military contexts, a sea captain may be referred to as a "Commander". This title is typically used in navies or other armed forces, where the Captain is responsible for leading and commanding a fleet of ships. The Commander is responsible for implementing strategic plans and ensuring that all ships under their command operate efficiently and effectively.
Pilot
A sea captain who specializes in navigating through difficult or dangerous waters may be referred to as a "Pilot". Pilots are often brought on board large ships, such as tankers or cargo vessels, to guide them through narrow channels or shallow waters. They have extensive knowledge of the local waterways and can help ensure that the ship arrives at its destination safely.
Conclusion
Sea captains play a vital role in the maritime industry, ensuring that ships and their crew arrive safely at their destinations. While there are various titles used for sea captains, including Captain, Master, Skipper, Commander, and Pilot, they all share the same responsibility of navigating through the unpredictable waters of the open sea. Whether managing a crew on a fishing boat or leading a fleet of naval ships, these skilled seafarers are essential to the smooth and safe operation of the world's shipping industry.

Mun on the Muse
-I like reading about the paranormal at times. I like to incorporate what I know about spirits, ghosts and the like when writing Salazar. I like to give it as much of a real-world spirit feel as much as I can. In some rps and verses, he is a wandering soul that has things left he needs to do or is looking for something. He feels the pain of his death and injuries that caused it. Reliving the moments of pain and suffering.

You don't have to answer this or anything but I saw your tags on that post about using self-deprecating humour and I gotta tell you, stay strong, because it is so worth it to wrestle that habit into submission and throw it away. Like, it's incredible the difference it made in my life, it's like the world got brighter. I believe in you, you can do it
Awwweee this was really sweet, thank you. I'll try. 🥺❤️

‘My India isn’t broken’: Harsha Bhogle’s strong message to Twitter user amid CAA protests - cricket
Tumblr media
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle sent out a strong message amid the unrest in the country with respect to Citizenship Amendment Act. Both protesters and supporters of the Act have taken to streets to voice their opinions and Bhogle stated the government should listen to what the youth has to say. Also Read: ‘Will be a flop idea’: Ex Pak captain on Ganguly’s 4-nation tournament idea“I think young India is speaking to us. It is telling us what it wants to be; and that it doesn’t want to be what we are telling it to be,” Bhogle wrote in his long Facebook post. “For many years now, I have been bullish on India. There is a reason. My generation grew up in an India that was still feeling the after effects of being plundered by colonial England. My parents’ generation weren’t just short on resources, they also had their confidence sucked away by a terrible, repressive environment. We were luckier but we still didn’t know what we were capable of.”Also Read: ICC posts astonishing statistics for Virat Kohli in this decadeTo Bhogle’s views, one Twitter user replied: “I can only applaud Harsha for this. His India is broken. No other country’s leader or ruling party in the world is consistently being compared to Nazis. On this issue, we all need to be Harsha. Except for @GautamGambhir . He has chosen to be a figurehead for the party of division.” I can only applaud Harsha for this. His India is broken. He has chosen to be a figurehead for the party of division https://t.co/UOwPlsv8Tg— Dennis Cricketmas (@DennisCricket_) December 24, 2019 Bhogle was quick to shut his views down and he wrote: “No Dennis, my India isn’t broken. It is full of vibrant young people doing amazing things too. We are a fully functional, mature democracy. We might voice our dissent, our disappointment at times but we are fiercely Indian. That word you used in comparison.....never.” No Dennis, my India isn't broken. It is full of vibrant young people doing amazing things too. We are a fully functional, mature democracy. Earlier, out-of-favour all-rounder Irfan Pathan opened up on the criticism he received over his remarks supporting Jamia Millia Islamia students. When I went to Pakistan in 2004 for the Friendship tour, I went to a college in Lahore along with Rahul Dravid, L Balaji, and Parthiv Patel. In a question-and-answer segment attended by 1,500 students, one girl got up and asked, almost in anger: why do I play for India despite being a Muslim? I stood up and said I am not doing any favours (ehsaan) by playing for India. It’s my country, and I am lucky, proud and honoured to represent it. It’s my mulk, my country, a place where my ancestors all come from. Everyone in that college clapped.”“If I can speak like that in Pakistan, in an open gathering, puffing out my chest, then I don’t need anyone’s permission in my own country to say what I feel. I have represented my country. Some people should realise that. When I ran in to bowl for India, I didn’t think I am a Muslim. I am an Indian first before anything else,” he wrote. what’s your love style?
Tagged by: @daniellecountessofderby
Tagging: @therapardalis @theresalwaysmcre @inadxquacy @huntressofthenorth @amok-amok-amok @of-steel-and-stone  or anyone who wants to do it go for it. (You don’t have to do it if you do not want to.)
Your Love Style is Agape
You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner. Unsurprisingly, your love style is the rarest. You are willing to sacrifice your world for your sweetie. Except it doesn't really feel like a sacrifice to you. For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.

IT IS DONE!!!
okay, this took forever and I am so proud of it so I want to post it now, even if it’s only the top for now
and it is full of tiny strings T^T and my phone kinda killed the quality, sorry about that, but look!
That’s my very first try at a quilt and I really need to buy a rotary cutter! It was fun, but hard work and a bit of frustration, but look! I love those two so much! And now I have a blanket with them on it! And a rainbow in the back! Happiness overload!
Afterthoughts:
1) I am never doing that again (he said and started another in a few month, wanna bet?)
2) Next time order the rotary cutter before you are done cutting... not after.. don’t worry, you will have one next time, because it arrives in a few days
(Yes, I did cut all the parts with regular sewing scissors. I am crazy, but have the power of determination)
3)Did I mention the fuckton of work this was? But so worth it! Maybe clean your room a few times while you are at it and don’t use ‘I have to finish my quilt’ as an excuse
4) One Pokemon is enough! Two are.. ridiculously tiny pieces (for anyone who read this far and is interested: the squares are 5cm x 5cm with 1cm being the seam allowance, so visible is 3cm x 3cm)
5) I need a new iron, the one with the broken backside is ridiculous...
Sorry if I am annoying, I am just happy and proud, so I don’t care that much! Plus, this was the first project with so many straight lines and I still managed to turn it gay^^ (i usually sew cosplays or shit like that)
