I tell stories about how "Ton knew a guy," and his referrals were a way of saying that he trusted these people like family. One part of the revamped I-Ally will be vetted vendors in a secure marketplace. This is our way of saying, "to us, these people are like family." I have accepted the position of Chief Marketing Officer, and am so honored to be apart of this amazing company. Lucinda founded i-Ally with the hope of helping millennial caregivers after becoming one herself for her dad. I found @iallyinc on social media over a year ago, and I reached out to Lucinda recently...with 0 expectations of hearing back...well she not only responded but less than a month later made my dreams come true. Lucinda is the type of person I want to work for, not just because of her vision but her empathy. When I read her vision statement on i-Ally.com it was like it was written by my soul. As an a tech entrepreneur she’s accomplished more than I could ever dream of, and I know her vision for the future will take us to great heights.Together we’re going to change the way an entire generation has to handle the stress becoming a primary caregiver of a loved one. She’a s going to make the world a better place, and I know together the sky is the limit! Posted @withregram • @peace_pals 📖 Isolation chose me about a year before it became mass protocol due to the coronavirus pandemic. Social distancing was already the name of my ecosystem, or so it seemed. You see, my father suffered the aftermath of a debilitating stroke and I spent five nights in the hospital by his side—alone, lost, dazed, panicked and completely abandoned. I begged members of my family to share this with me, to pick up the other side of the coffin, to offer up one ounce of strength so mine could rest. Earlier that year, my brother had walked me down the aisle. He wouldn’t t be walking me down this one. Without much explanation, I was on my own. The social distancing spread. I felt radioactive. Doctors, nurses, even social workers looked at me with judgment. I was dirty. I had not left the sixth floor even to eat. “Wait,” I thought. “Aren’t these the very people I should go to for help? Why isn’t the social worker asking me if I am okay?” It was then that I realized the social worker wasn’t there for me. She was there for the hospital. She was there to bill health insurance companies. She was there to facilitate my dad’s transition into rehab, for the sake of institutional workflow. I had no idea what I was doing, and I was entirely unsure of my role as decision maker. There was one thing I was willing to bet on, though: other young women are experiencing this crucible. Even more, I knew in my bones that young women show up for each other. We just have to be connected. That is when my brain and heart gave birth to what has become @iallyinc, a platform to provide access to resources, solutions and support for the growing population of millennial caregivers. 🌍 Thank you, @lucindarogerskoza, for sharing your story.
