SOBRE O CRISTAL: Os cristais me fascinam. Talvez eu tenha sido influenciado por todo o contexto místico e esotérico que eles carregam, mas hoje os vejo além disso. Em algumas artes minhas utilizo o cristal como um símbolo de algum aspecto natural em nosso interior, aquela mais bruta essência, intocada, perfeita e única, inerente a cada ser. Como o cristal, essa essência respeita uma ordem, um código, um padrão que se repete e é o mesmo em todo lugar, mas que se manifesta externamente de modo aparentemente aleatório. Ao ler o livro “O Homem e seus Símbolos” pude entender um pouco melhor o porquê desse meu fascínio, desse senso de identificação que tenho com os cristais, entre outros símbolos que me tocam de alguma forma. Segue um trecho: “A constituição de precisão matemática de um cristal desperta em nós o sentimento intuitivo de que mesmo na matéria dita 'inanimada' existe um princípio de ordenação espiritual em funcionamento. Assim, o cristal simboliza muitas vezes a união dos extremos opostos – a matéria e o espírito. Talvez cristais e pedras sejam símbolos do Self tão adequados devido à 'exatidão' da sua natureza. (...) apesar de o homem ser, tanto quanto possível, diferente da pedra, o seu centro mais íntimo é, de uma maneira estranha e muito especial, bastante semelhante a ela (talvez porque a pedra simbolize a existência pura, estando o mais possível distanciada das emoções, sentimentos, fantasias e do pensamento discursivo do nosso ego consciente).
