Edelweiss Family

The final part of my Fire Emblem Fates review is out now!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I was stuck looking after a new foster dog that me and my family are currently looking after, so I was AFK for a while and didn’t really had the time to push out new content for a month.

Wanted to kind of really experiment with this piece and its atmosphere by messing with the different sizes of the custom brushes I that I used. There was a moment in where I tried to make sure the grass blended well with the ground, as I felt making an outline for it made it felt out of place. Also did a lot of rearranging with the petals to make sure they didn't stack on top of each other. (I know there's a way to adjust the brush's setting to prevent that, but I haven't quite figured it out yet.)

Felt like I could've adjusted Silas' cowlick better if I had more references of him in different angles. Like many it was my first time drawing him, so I'm not to judgmental about it or to anyone else that are featured in this piece. Just have to keep experimenting as they say. ________________________________

Puyo Summer Fun!

Just wanted to get another summer related piece out before it ends. Plus with the semi-recent release of Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop, it got me thinking back on one of their other title Puyo Puyo Quest, which was a mobile game that was made exclusive in Japan and a lot of the characters actually come with a variety of costume alts.

As you can kinda see I really wanted to test my shading, and I’m slowly understanding the importance of blending. Still gotta get better on my depth perception though.

The Sadist Power Couple

The second part of my review of Fire Emblem Fates is out now!

These two had such fun banter with one another. Plus their supports actually provided a bit of background behind Camilla's demeanor and why she acts so motherly towards Corrin all the time. Hah, and people say she was just made for fan service.

Conquest certainly has a better cast of characters than compared to Birthright's counterparts and far more diverse battle maps to play on. Though it does lack a rather cohesive narrative when it comes to your role in the story. Felt like it could've done better if they had more choices that really challenged your morals and held more of an impact to the story.

Of course I'm also looking forward to the next chapter of Andy and Leyley, as well as wanting to do more voice work around it after the success of my fandub video. Regain Control Teaser: Olivia

Say, what other characters will be appearing in the "Regain Control" comic? (I saw that Blue will be appearing, but which other pokemon and/or pokepasta characters will be appearing, if any?)

Other well known faces from the pokémon universe will be make an appearance at some point in the story. Characters like Red, Leaf/Green, and Professor Oak are guaranteed to show up.

Say, I notice that you have a couple pieces of shipping art with Olivia and Steven here on your blog. What's their relationship with each other? They seems to get along with each other in the art I've seen so far (mostly), but, is their relationship different in "Regain Control"? (And on a more lighthearted note, do you have any cute doodles of the two? They're starting to grow on me...)

Their relationship is something akin to the origin of Joker and Harley Quinn’s relationship, albeit less problematic and more of the “I can fix him” trope instead. Olivia plays a very pivotal role into Steven’s recovery as a person after all the horrible things he went through in the original pokepasta. So much so that she becomes that of a source of comfort for him whenever his trauma comes back to haunt him.

Regain Control will have some moments that will center around the growth of their relationship as they uncover the dark secrets around Missingno, as well as Steven coming to terms with the regret of his wrongdoings.

Hey there! I was wondering, do you have any fun facts you could give us about Olivia, your character for your fan comic?

Here are a few fun facts that I can share about her without giving away spoilers:

-She’s a novice researcher from the Sinnoh region who studies pokémon and their history.

-Her father is an archeologist from the Galar region who married an historian, who would later became his wife and her mother. A lot of Olivia’s interest in pursuing history definitely came from her parents and their line of work.

-Her pokémon team comprises of an Infernap, her first starter and most loyal companion, a Corviknight, who was gifted to her by her father as a Rookidee, a Gardevoir, who is the most caring of the team and shares a psychic link with to where she can telepathically talk to her (sorta like Mewtwo in a way), and the last three are a Weavile, a Quagsire, and a Rotom. All reliable companions that help her out with what she does.

Kiss in the Spa Resort

Wanted to really test my lighting skills with this one. There were bits where I kinda struggled with the blending tool in some areas, so I have yet to find that sweet spot for the shading style I’m aiming for. I could just use the auto shading feature Clip Studio has but it doesn’t translate well enough with the images I’m making.
