People misunderstand Promising Young Woman film so bad, hating it mostly because of the ending. But it was a good ending and I will never shut up about it.

It wasn't about revenge. It was about showing the people who belittled Nina's hurt that it was serious and that they should feel guilt. Cassie succeeded in that. In the end she won. She died, but techically she "was" with Nina again, which maybe was the only way she would ever be able to let things go. Above all, it was a good ending to portray how actually hard it is to make men face the consequences of their actions.

Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)

This 2013 Coen Brothers' film is about a young man played by Oscar Isaac who couch hops and hopes for an aspiring career as a musician alongside his handy acoustic guitar (and his cat). The kick is that Llewyn is an asshole and has done more wrong then good in his life, so liking him is a tall task let alone accommodating him. Other notable performances come from John Goodman Justin Timberlake Adam Driver and Carey Mulligan in this bleak adventurous drama throughout 1961 in Greenwich Village.

I made myself finally watch this movie. It's been a good 26 yrs since my rape and I have talked about it, discussed it, shared my story etc. Triggered, I absolutely was as well as enraged. But, what fucking upset me the most is the god damn genre this was put in: a fucking black comedy, sometimes a comedy thriller tragedy. Whichever category you want to tack on at the end it always started with "comedy". Where? I ask you where is the comedy? Hm? Give me one comedic scene. It's infuriating to present a subject so serious for so many women and even consider putting it in such a category. Fuck anyone who thought this was THE category for this movie.

If you're a survivor, don't watch it, please. It makes you relive all the shite you've heard before. Instead, tell every man you meet to watch. Do say that it's a fucking dark comedy tho. Ffs.
