Dama Bianca is enslaved by her own dreams, yet empowered by the irresistible gravity of vanilla – it is the dreamiest note in the perfume realm.

It is a white fragrance, which evokes the feeling of sensuality and optimistic vistas over gilded vanilla, enriched by freshly hand-picked kumquat.

A row of delicate flowers and Italy’s noble iris soften the overall finish to a powdery effect. Musk, lily of the valley and seductive jasmine lie in the heart of composition.

Technically Xerjoff but actually Casamorati:

1888 by Xerjoff - I actually liked this one the most out the brand - it's sweet and slightly pastry-like spicy, but not tooth-rotting and has nicely balancing sourness (I'm not sure - from some of the flowers or from sandalwood at the bottom). Very enjoyable.

Bouquet Ideale by Xerjoff - I actually thought I was going to like that one more, but no - it's somewhat similar to the previous one - but this is somehow a bit too vanilla heavy. Still good though.

Dolce Amalfi by Xerjoff - I still don't know what quince is but it does add pleasant fruitiness and sourness to this one and makes it quite interesting. It has pretty noticeable cloves and balsamicness (balsamness?). Liked it about the same as the first one.

Gran Ballo by Xerjoff - actually noticeable start that didn't skip my nose - citruses and sour berries - and then it's pretty vague white flowers and a lot of added sweetness. It's okay.

Italica by Xerjoff - added points for realness, minus points for making me sick. I'm mostly joking, but I was afraid that at some point when perfume says "milk" it wouldn't be just vaguely lactonic and creamy but would actually smell like boiling milk, which makes me a little nauseous, and that's exactly the case here - warm milk with added caramel. Not my thing - but if you're looking for something like that I would recommend it.

Lira by Xerjoff - this is one of the more popular ones from this brand (I think?) but it didn't especially impress me - bright citruses at the start but then it's mostly just basic caramel.

Mefisto by Xerjoff - the least sweet one of all and maybe on the contrast one of the more pleasant as well - sour citruses and a lot of powdery flowers - fresh and pretty light. From my impression (and comparisons on fragrantica...) it's not awfully original though.

Tiger's Nest by Memo Paris - now that's definitely something. Wow. I've already tested this one and decided to try it one myself and it didn't disappoint. On me it opened up a little sweeter and I can agree with the comparisons to Ambre Sultan a bit more (at least from I can tell without actually trying the damn thing), but it still smells for me like a slightly damp old wooden house with a long unfired furnace. I want at least decant, please, is that so much to ask for?

baby’s day out at the fancy perfume mall, here’s what i sniffed! not all of it is listed, if i was neutral on it i didn’t put it here. i tried a lot that i didn’t consider noteworthy so here’s what i did.

things i liked:

- guerlain nerolia vetiver (might buy since it’s on sale on jomashop), bosca vanilla forte, and flora salvaggia

- gucci the virgin violet (won’t buy can’t afford)

- gucci “moonlight serenade” (just straight soft lavender, went and compared it on my hand to lush twilight, almost identical except this one is slightly more herbal, bought lush twilight as a spray because lol)

- creed “love in white”

- jo malone cucumber and earl grey tea

- jo malone jasmine sambac and marigold (won’t buy because i think ill find it cloying, but very interesting)

- initio rehab (woody powdery lavender)

- perfume de marlys meliora (jasmine tea and berries)

- aerin lilac path (low sillage and longevity)

- diptyque eau papier

things i thought id like but didnt:

- le labo “lavande” (not as lavender as id like, too musky). this reminded of lovesick witchery’s dead of night but completely lacking in personality. also the lavender smelled chemically?

- all of acqua di parma. all very citrusy and kind of artificial smelling, tried their osmanthus and it was actually gross. i don’t generally like osmanthus scents since true osmanthus doesn’t smell like the perfume note 99% of the time.

- literally all of the tom fords i tried except rose prick (i tried the smoky cherry, vanille fatale, and soleil neige along with rose prick). vanille fatale is actually disgusting. def not for me.

- diptyque’s eau moheni (took me on a roller coaster, was gorgeous at first spray but the indole in the ylang took over and started to smell kind of rotten) and ofresia (why did you put pepper in a freesia scent. it literally just smells pointy, and i like freesia!)

i got free samples of creed love in white, JM jasmine sambac and marigold, PDM meliora, gucci the virgin violet, and initio rehab. i also got a le labo sample for my friend, who im giving the rehab sample to as well since i like it, but it’s a bit too strong for my taste on my skin.

imma tell you, I am not a big fan of gourmand fragrances on myself but oh my god... no. one. does it like the casamorati sisters!!!! 😩 my mother and I got testers a few years ago. she got me Lira and Dama Bianca for herself! we wore them to my sister's wedding and you bet we got so many compliments! I love Lira... I smelled like a sweet lemon cake, which is my favorite pastry ever... but I always wished I got Dama Bianca 😭😭 we no longer have the testers but it's definitely a dream to have the full bottle someday. It is what I imagine how walking into a castle would smell and feel like. it's... so soft, ethereal, and elegant. but I'd like to describe it as unforgettable. another thing I love about it is that... it's good to wear here in our country with tropical climate too. plus the bottles from this house is so gorgeous! I am in love with each one of them. I think it is a good gateway to niche perfumes. if one wants to dabble with niche scents,,, I think the Casamorati line is perfect.

xerjoff casamorati lira, round two. initial blast of fruit and a bit of bergamot. now it just smells like cotton candy and cinnamon. like a carnival in autumn in the early 2010s. just too sweet, even as a contender for book fairs and places where i need to create femininity. the search continues!
