Paws and Bonds: Unraveling the Fascinating World of Cat Bonding Behaviors
Cats have long captivated our hearts with their mysterious charm, independent spirits, and subtle ways of showing affection. Unlike dogs, whose love is often overt and enthusiastic, cats express their feelings in nuanced, sometimes puzzling ways. Understanding cat bonding behaviors is the key to unlocking a deeper, more meaningful relationship with your feline companion. Whether you’re a seasoned…

Was eating and put my hand out as a peace offering to my cat. She expected food in the hand. There was no food in the hand. She releases noxious fumes in retaliation.

“OMG! CHLOE TREATS HER FATHER SO TERRIBLY!” 😣
And I understand that!
However, Andre’s a grown adult man, not a freaking baby nor a little boy who needs his father’s approval anymore.
He’s the one who brought her into the world, enabled Chloe, spoiled her rotten, GAVE HER he privileges (the same ones Thomas claims she had), and set a bad example for her. HE put himself into the situation, so HE’S the one that has to deal with it. If you ask me, he needs to grow a spine and do his job as a father instead of expecting everyone to pity him for the bad mistakes that HE made lol 😂

style experimentation!!! for a story ive been pondering on:) It's very important to me that, if i ever commit to making a comic with this story, that it has a realistic-leaning style. It needs to feel very grounded, but also being simplified into a way that allows distinguishable character designs and is feasibly simple enough for a comic/graphic novel or comic-adjacent format.

I'm more happy with the first, even if the second is a bit more realistic leaning! the first defiantly is cleaner and more distinguishable i think, and has more "personality"(?) than the second, even if the second is in an more dynamic pose. But thats just my thoughts on it so far- if anyone has feedback I'd love to hear it!!!

So we’ve had a problem over the last year with Odys cat pooping his crate every time we drive up to the cottage (~2 hours away). He consistently would poop himself after ~ 1 hour, sometimes multiple times, and often also peeing in the crate as well. Needless to say this made for a very unpleasant drive, with up to 3 stops sometimes needed to clean up the crate (and the cat).
We tried something different this weekend and kept him out on harness and leash, in my partner’s lap, for the drive. And he did great! Sounded much less distressed in his meows, no pooping or peeing. He even chilled out and rested on my partner’s knees for a good bit of the drive.
Our best guess is that he had some confinement stress from being in the crate that compounded with the stress of being in the car. So outside of the crate seems to be the ticket! Such a relief, since he was the only pet that wasn’t a rockstar on road trips. Now we can hit the road without fear of constantly stopping for cat poop cleanup.

[ID: tags from user monmouthcastle that read, "#i understand farm cats #but city cats or even suburb im [sic] sorry but no keep them inside." /end ID.]
Just want to take a moment to vent about the rescue I used to work at having a barn cat program that led to a cat surrendered to us for reportedly peeing in his last owner's house coming back to us so frozen he couldn't close his eyelids. It was so bad our feline behaviorist wanted to euthanize him immediately. Our vet tech believed that she could save him and luckily she was good enough at what she did to pull it off.
The blame was placed squarely on his new barn cat adopter for not properly habituating him to his barn home, prompting him to run away and almost freeze to death in the great outdoors.
While he was with us recovering from being frozen solid, he never once had any issues using the litterbox. He was adopted out as an indoor cat once he was well.
No further reflection on the barn cat program appeared to occur.
you tell a bitch to keep their cat indoors and suddenly their town is the first in the world to have eradicated every viral, bacterial and parasitic disease, they invented completely harmless cars, dogs and predators dont exist either but somehow the native songbird population is fine since the cats in this place have lost the hunting instinct, there's no pollutants or toxic plants and human cruelty has ceased to exist. and mr mittens has a chip in his brain that will explode if he doesnt go outside 10 hours of the day
