Navigating Fabric Industry Challenges: Catchweight Strategies for Success
In the dynamic landscape of the fabric industry, manufacturers face a myriad of challenges, from fluctuating raw material costs to ever-evolving consumer demands. Amidst these complexities, the strategic implementation of catchweight strategies emerges as a beacon of efficiency and success. Catchweight, a term denoting the measurement of goods based on weight rather than quantity, revolutionises inventory management and production processes, offering a pathway to enhanced productivity and profitability.
At its core, catchweight empowers fabric manufacturers to navigate the intricacies of their supply chains with precision and agility. By adopting catchweight solutions, companies can optimize inventory levels, mitigate waste, and streamline operations from procurement to distribution. This strategic approach not only ensures accurate stock levels but also facilitates better forecasting and demand planning, enabling businesses to respond swiftly to market fluctuations and customer preferences.
One of the key advantages of catchweight strategies lies in their ability to enhance yield and minimise material losses. In an industry where every ounce of fabric counts, the ability to accurately measure and track inventory is paramount. Catchweight solutions enable manufacturers to maximise the utilisation of raw materials, minimise overproduction, and reduce the risk of stockouts or excess inventory. As a result, businesses can achieve greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the production cycle.
Furthermore, catchweight technologies offer valuable insights into product quality and consistency, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the fabric manufacturing process. By monitoring weight variations and identifying potential deviations, companies can uphold stringent quality standards and deliver superior products that meet or exceed customer expectations. This focus on quality assurance not only enhances brand reputation but also fosters long-term customer loyalty and satisfaction.
In the digital age, where data-driven decision-making reigns supreme, the integration of catchweight solutions into fabric manufacturing operations is no longer a luxury but a necessity. By harnessing the power of catchweight technology, businesses can gain a competitive edge in an increasingly competitive market landscape. From optimising resource allocation to enhancing product traceability, catchweight strategies pave the way for sustainable growth and success in the fabric industry. Embrace the transformative potential of catchweight and chart a course towards operational excellence and profitability.

It is fight day everybody. Gonna do this sport by sport. First MMA
Tumblr media Tumblr media
UFC Fight Night Dawson vs Green is on tap. It’s a decent card with familiar names. Not crazy about a Grant Dawson 5 rounder but I like Bobby Green. Dober-Glenn, Morono-Buckley, Algeo-Hernandez, Lins-Cutelaba, and De La Rosa-Aldrich are all fun fights. Plus the return of Kanako Murata.
Bellator 300. This might be the last time we see Bellator, as rumors of Viacom cutting ties with the company persist. It’s fitting that it’s headlined by a Russian champion defending the title. Usman Nurmagomedov faces off with Brent Primus in the main event. Plus we have two other title fights, Cyborg vs Zingano at women’s 145 and Liz Carmouche vs Ilima-Lei MacFarlane at 126 catchweight.
Tumblr media
We also have Glory 89. At the time of posting, the prelims have already started (and might actually be over). We got a featherweight title fight between champ Petch and challenger Mejia. We also have a couple of big HW fights featuring Badr Hari, Jurjendal, and Levi Ritgers. Plus more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Over in boxing we got a few big fights. Joe Smith Jr vs Zurdo, Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington, and Terri Harper vs Cecilia Braekhus

Recognizing and Reporting Dogfighting on Social Media: A Short PSA
(feel free to copy/paste to anywhere.)
In light of recently discovering nine accounts with evidence of illegal dogfighting taking place behind the scenes on TikTok, I’m posting a PSA on how to recognize and report content like this for legal action to be taken, to save the lives of dogs and other animals used as “bait.”
Language-
Certain words for dogs/behavior/people are used mostly/entirely by dogfighters. Some of them are as follows:
•*Cur* or *Stone Cold*- A dog that won’t/refuses to fight
•*Dogman*- Someone that handles fighting dogs
•*Prospect*- A promising young aggressive dog
•*Champion*- A dog that has won fights
•*Game Bred*- Dogs bred for aggression/fighting
•*Game Dog*- A dog proven “game”, a fighter
•*Scratches/Scratch Lines*- The lines dogs start behind in the fighting pit
•*Catchweight*- A heavyweight fighting dog
•*Chain-weight*- The normal weight of a dog
•*Yard*- Where the dogs are kept
•*Roll/Bump*- A training match
Fighting Dog Training Equipment
Most dog fighters use the same methods that people have for a century or more, manual devices to bulk up their dogs and train out any remaining hesitation. The names of those are as follows:
*Catmill, Flirt Pole, Spring Pole, Turn Table*
•Treadmills are a red flag, though these are also used for non-fighting dogs, so treadmills alone are not a sign.
Personal/Dog Behavior
Accounts/people that behave in a certain way are easy to recognize once you figure out the pattern. Red flags such as the following:
-Flaunting a dog’s muscle mass
-Dogs on chains outside, sometimes with doghouses
-Dogs not allowed inside/in contact with each other
-Stock of single/multiple dogs fully of Pit Bulls/Bully Breed dogs
-Dogs often look thin, but in reality have no fat and are all muscle mass
-Bragging of a dog’s “bloodline” and often citing the names of specific dogs. Looking up said dogs may bring up papers/conformation of them coming from a “fighting line”
-Videos of dogs training/hanging off of things just by their mouth, grabbing and shaking hard
-Dogs with scars on their face/head
-Breeding, advertising dogs for stud, selling puppies, “coming soon” type posts
-Advertising the kennel their dog came from, said kennel only seems to breed very lean bully breeds/pit bulls
-Often arguing for “preserving lines” or arguing inbreeding is okay
Reporting
If you report the accounts/content to the social media site they are on, the content will be removed and no further action will be taken. To actually get these people in legal trouble, report them to the FBI tip line. If you don’t want to use your own information with the tip, put the address of something like a Walmart. Just make sure if you add any contact information that it is valid.
The accounts often comment on each other’s pages/videos, and if you are a strong-stomached person you may be able to report multiple at once by browsing comments and clicking on suspect accounts to acquire usernames.
DO NOT INTERACT WITH THEM

The defense
Summary: after taking the vacant Middleweight title after Darks Prompt jump to the Light Heavyweight division, he'd taken on all comers and cleared the weight division out. But when a rising welterweight superstar rises to the Middleweight division, mango will have to learn how to take the trade-marked punch: Henry's Hammer.
The amount of beatings Midas received after his (robbery) loss to the dark lord were many, and the respite he'd gotten had been few and far between.
It terrified Rooney how creative he could be when it came to inflicting pain.
Sometimes he'd hear screaming, pained and insane screaming as creator continued to damage Midas psychologically beyond repair. His own powers already did a good job of it.
This is how monsters are made...
Midas went for a year and a half at Middleweight and went on to win the championship, but creator had always managed to find one thing that he did wrong, one reason to torment him even more.
Rooney could tell that he began to have nightmares while he was wide awake, he'd see Midas snap his gaze over somewhere out of his peripheral vision...sometimes he'd catch him conversing with no one, and none of the conversations had any continuity...
Now Midas' soft and childish features were already beginning to harden and dull, Stress and trauma had a way of aging people in fast motion.
At least he'd grown to a healthy 5'10 which was a good height for a Middleweight, now he found himself standing above many of his competitors.
He'd refined his skillset as well, turning from a front-foot heavy inside fighter to a seek-and-destroy well rounded puncher.
He'd even learned how to switch from a left handed stance to a right handed stance on the fly and began working from a right handed stance until he was just as good from orthodox as he was from southpaw.
He'd began to use distance rather than closing it, and could still hang in an up close battle.
He'd cleaned out all comers in the contender rankings and his creator was called to a post fight interview by the commentator, Harry Merchant.
"So Baylin, your fighter has done great. He's probably cemented himself as one of the greatest Middleweights in the world right now. What's next, will he be moving up, or will he face welterweight champ Henry Shavers in a catchweight match?" His creator spoke into the microphone.
"We have yet to make a decision on weather or not it will be moving up to the light heavyweight division just now. I do however know that we would like a fight between it and the welterweight champ as I've heard he had plans of moving up to Middleweight."
Today, after creator had put his "tools" away, he took Midas to YouTube and brought Rooney with.
Still bleeding, he told Midas "this is what you'll soon face." And played a video.
He saw 2 sticks standing across from one another, one was Grey and blue, the other was bright orange...not like the other guys color mattered as the Grey one knocked him out brutally with one punch.
That trend continued, even if he was losing his one punch KO power was dangerous at any point in the fight.
Midas watched, then gulped nervously.
Once creator shut the video off, he turned to the two.
"Here's what's gonna happen, you're gonna work on defense right? You've been working on that for awhile now. But you're also gonna learn to take a punch, because it doesn't matter how good your defense is, he will catch you eventually." Midas and Rooney looked at eachother for a bit.
Rooney was in charge of training defense drills with Midas, and creator was in charge of endurance training... both kinds of endurance.
Rooney saw it for exactly what it was, another excuse for creator to take out his frustrations on Midas.
He couldn't bear to watch the beatings, he'd seen Midas die and resurrect too many times already.
Before they knew it, the night of the fight came.
Midas and Rooney sat in their window in anticipation before the link popped up.
"You ready?" Midas nodded without looking back at him.
Rooney hit the link and they were transported to the snowy arena called "avalanche"
The rolling mountains of snow and frigid air stung at his skin, but less so since creator loaded the map on his PC and made him train their bare-chested.
The announcer tapped the microphone to signal the crowd to silence.
"And now the main event, for the undisputed Middleweight championship of the world. In the red corner, measuring at 5 feet 10 inches, weighing in at 162 pounds even, with a record of 136 wins 1 loss and 132 wins by way of knockout, the champion MIDAS!"
The crowd roared once again and the announcer waited for them to quiet down.
"And in the blue corner, the former undisputed welterweight champion of the word, measuring at 5 feet 9 and-a-half inches, weighing in a 160 pounds even, with a record of 99 wins, no losses and 96 wins by way of knockout, the challenger Henry "Hammer" Shavers!"
The two approached the center of the arena as the ref laid out instruction.
"Punches only, remember to protect yourself at all times and to obey my commands. Let's get started gentlemen!" The two bumped fists as the traditional sign of respect and the buzzer sounded.
Midas came out in Southpaw, using his steady footwork with feints to keep himself off rhythm.
The two jabbed each other for the first round, but Midas' skillset and experience ensured that very few of Shavers's jabs landed... but when it did, it felt like a ram-rod.
Still, Midas' jab was stiff and sharp, and by the second round, he'd already opened a cut above his eye.
The first two went to Midas by a landslide.
3rd round came in and Midas started to go to the body as per Rooney's instruction; "he hasn't shown you yet but he's got alot of power, go in and take some of that power away." He explained
He used a long and snappy jab to set up lead hooks to the body before shifting into orthodox and circling to safety.
Any return fire shavers threw was slipped, ducked or blocked with an ease that made it look effortless.
He was still getting clipped sometimes however and his jaw already began to ache just from the stifled impact.
But pain didn't matter, not now at least. Now was the time to fight, he could worry about the aches later.
He continued hitting shavers with stiff jabs but he patiently stalked after him, tightening his guard so that fewer jabs made it through.
This came at the cost of his raised arms, leaving his body open, and it was easy pickings, but this came at a price for Midas too.
He still had to plant down right infront of one of the most dangerous punchers in the sport to land his body shots.
He took some body shots of his own, and by the end of the round, Midas' ribs were broken just from a few good punches.
But he couldn't waver, after all the 5th round was only one minute away.
As it started, shavers got KO-hungry and abandoned body shots all together in favor of headhunting.
MTidasmade him look foolish as his slippery defense left shavers swinging at air. He was getting frustrated.
He couldn't believe how well he was doing right now. He slipped punch after punch and landed more and more of his own.
Shaver threw a right hand and Midas slipped just out of range and loaded up a left that was sure to end the fight here and now, this was it, he was doing it! He was doing it!
...
...
His eyes shot open and the first thing he felt was snow on his bare skin, he got up immediately to look at the ref who held 3 fingers up, then 4. He figured he must've slipped or something, it's weird how he blacked out though...maybe he hit his head...
The ref grabbed both his hands and looked his eyes over, "can you continue?" He asked.
Wait what?
Despite the confusion, Midas quickly nodded, and the ref allowed the fight to go.
As soon as the fight continued, he felt the world start to spin and his legs got weak from underneath him.
Shavers went right at him, throwing everything he had to end the fight here but Midaa was nothing if not tough.
He absorbed some hellacious bombs but kept firing back in kind, still though, at the end of the 5th he went back to his corner seeing stars.
He was so disoriented that he didn't realize he had shavers hurt and in big trouble, maybe if his head was more clear he could've picked up and capitalized on it.
Rooney ran over to him and wiped his face down with a cold wet cloth.
"Holy hell kid, you alright?" He asked hastily
Before he could answer, Rooney held his head still and looked his eyes over, then held a finger out.
"Follow my finger" he said as he slowly dragged it from side to side.
As he did, Midas couldn't help but notice Rooney had a white towel in his other hand...
Rooney was left with a tough decision. If he threw in the towel and stopped the fight now, they'd both surely face creators wrath once again, and Rooney would rather not see Midas go through that again.
On the other hand, if he didn't, the 16 year old kid who was as a son to him could risk permanent long-term consequences...
Creators wrath could also very well be long term...
Against his paternal instinct, he put the towel away and got Midas ready to go out for round six.
"Wha'happen?" He slurred out
"He got you, and he got you good... surprised you got up at all, let alone as quickly as you did." He said while he rubbed Vaseline on Midas' face.
"Wha'he hit me with?"
"A left hook, you loaded up on your left and he got you while you were throwing...your whole body weight and his went into that punch." At those words, Rooney nearly stopped the fight anyways.
"You hurt him bad though, time him to beat him to the punch, but don't forget to go to the body." He patted Midas' back as he sent him out for the 6th.
Now that he tasted Shavers power, he was no longer afraid to go toe-to-toe with him.
He may have been slippery but when it comes to a power puncher you gotta earn their respect.
And so he stood right in front of the man who'd later be known as the hardest hitting welterweight champion of all time.
The two exchanged, but Midas had gotten the better of it all though he'd taken some terrifying shots it only seemed to put more power into his OWN punches.
By the end of the 6th, the two stared eachother down, and shavers nodded his head to him.
In the start of the 7th, Midas decided to get in close to stifle shavers mid-range power punches and landed a tight combination of thudding hooks to the midsection, afterwards shavers began to back up more.
The two once again exchanged but shavers' punches had nowhere near the power in them as they did, however it was still worse than the average professionals punch. Shavers was still dangerous.
At the end of the 7th, Midas stepped in close and landed a hard right uppercut from soughtpaw that wobbled shavers. It wasn't even a hard punch, but he was shaken for the final 30 seconds of the round. That's when he came to a realization.
He can give but he can't take...!
In the 8th round he went right after the exhausted shavers, out-muscle'ing him and throwing hard punches.
Rooney saw Mmidas walk back to his corner, and he now had steam coming off his form. This was only partially due to the weather
. Even in the desert arenas, Midas would still have steam coming off him after enough fighting. He and Midas had a lot in common in that both of them only got stronger as the fight went on.
He threw power to the body and his footwork began to pick up as he circled him at mid range while throwing combinations and switching from orthodox to Southpaw as he threw.
Shavers looked helpless as Midas mauled him for the entire round but he was still throwing hard, even if it didn't hurt him anymore he was still catching him a few times and making him re think his reckless approach.
Towards the end of the round Midas stepped in close and laded a right to the body from orthodox, then seamlessly stepped into southpaw to land a left uppercut, a lead right hook and a straight left that backed him off.
Midas stalked after him and breathed out steam as he did, and he pressed into Shavers with his shoulder before suddenly pushing back to make space before landing two lead right hooks to his jaw.
In his corner, Rooney pointed to shavers corner.
"Look at'im, he's finished! He ain't got no more power left. Go get him!" Midas knew Rooney was fired up when he could hear the bronx in his voice.
He went out and shavers looked completely spent while Midas was still fresh, hell he was geared to go 30 rounds if need be.
But shavers was still dangerous, as he proved when Midas stepped in with two jab feints from Southpaw and landed a right hand over Midas' own to catch him coming in.
Midas staggered behind shavers but steadied himself quick, he had to finish this fight.
The two went in at close range but shavers's arms were weary and his guard was down.
Midas landed an overhand right, then another one, and another.
Shavers moved with each of the punches before he backed up, stunned. He tried to throw a jab but Midas threw yet another right over his jab and he reeled back.
He followed with a left that missed, but he used that momentum to hurl himself into another right.
Shavers stumbled back and turned to his side, Midas landed one more right for good measure.
The punch hit him so flush that he lost his footing with it and he slammed into a tree before falling backwards flat on his back.
The ref went and began counting.
"1"
"2"
"3"
"4"
"5"
"6"
Shavers was still motionless, he was barely conscious and exhausted.
"7"
"8"
Shavers tried to get up but he couldn't even sit up.
"9"
"10"
The referee waved it off and Midas raised his hands in victory.
As he turned around and walked towards Rooney who sprinted to him and lifted him in a bear hug he only then realized that the sides of his right eye were blurred.
He figured it was because of adrenaline but it was only his right eye, he couldn't see out the peripheral sides...
Either way it didn't matter, he could still see straight and he won this fight no matter the cost and it made for the KO of the year.
As he walked back to the dressing room he found himself stumbling over his feet inexplicably and his head hurt so bad...
The fight didn't come without costs to both men. It cost Midas the peripheral vision in his right eye, but shavers hadn't been unscathed either.
His confidence in his power had been shattered after being knocked out by the champion, even if there was no shame in losing to him, shavers simply wasn't the same, and his losses began to pile up.
After that first loss he was past his prime, as he'd began to think that the sport just wasn't for him but he had to pay the bills somehow, In the end, he retired with a record of 206 wins, 79 losses with 190 wins by knockout. The difference between his first loss and his other 78 is that the first one came when he was at his terrifying prime.
Shavers would go on to say that Midas was the hardest fight he'd ever had, despite his other losses
"The guy was made of iron, I was at my peak and thought I could knock anyone out, I nearly got him. But he popped up so fast and I remember thinking "this is bad...this is really bad...""
And despite the top talent he would go on to face in this golden age of the usfc, one person would always stand above the others in raw punching power to Midas, and his name was Henry "Hammer" Shavers.
---------------------------------------------------
I've decided that every big fight Midas has will come at a cost, with this one the cost was the peripheral vision in his right eye.
If anyone's curious, this is the fight I modeled this one after minus the knockdown on Midas' part.
youtube
It is also my pleasure to announce that Rooney having a Bronx accent is now Canon to the au, but he tries to mask in hence it only coming out when he's excited on angry.

god im sorry i dont have anything specific to ask abt it my head is empty but i saw u wanted to talk about ur boxing au and im begging u to talk more about it.. just at all bro im so so so curious the concept is right up my alley
im so glad people actually asked stuff, this au secretly means a lot to me. okay guys.
in a galar where pokemon don't exist (sorry) the gym leaders do the fighting themselves in the ring. leon is the galar league champion with 16 title reigns under his belt. weight divisions for the top three go as follows: piers: flyweight, raihan: middleweight, leon: heavyweight.
fighting usually goes by weight class (duh) but sometimes a catchweight division fight will be set up. this is how piers can still fight raihan and /technically/ have it still be a legal fight despite the two being wildly out of each other's weight class.
I really wanna incorporate leon'a fight with eternatus somehow and I was thinking of making this really beefed-up just fucking...insane guy represent eternatus and have it be leon's last fight before he has to leave. the fight would leave him irreversibly brain damaged and unable to continue fighting. sonia is very glad he can't fight anymore (but upset it had to happen this way) and everyone from the league visits him while he's in the hospital. piers is especially moved by this and sees the condition leon is in and decides to retire right there because he can't have marnie see him end up like that too.
It's bittersweet I think, but I want the whole league to slowly crumble as soon as leon leaves. their champion is gone so people aren't as invested anymore, rose loses his company, and everyone goes on to living normal lives.
I want a special little moment where rose tries to gather everyone up to fight again and leon gets so upset that he punches him in the gut for even trying, that is very important to me also.

Teofimo Lopez Defeats Jamaine Ortiz By Decision
LAS VEGAS — Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) defended his WBO and Ring Magazine junior welterweight world titles with a unanimous decision win over Jamaine Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs) Thursday evening at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Lopez was the aggressor, while Ortiz employed a cautious strategy that resulted in exchanges that were few and far between. Ortiz, who normally fights from an orthodox stance, boxed from the outside as a southpaw, using footwork and jabs to set up quick counters. Lopez pushed forward, bursting with jabs and right hands, though he had difficulty cutting off the ring, especially following the third and fourth rounds. In the seventh round, a clash of heads caused a cut on Ortiz’s left eyebrow, and he seemed to slow down. But Ortiz continued to pepper shots from a distance, while Lopez accelerated his offense. One judge scored the bout 117-111, and the other two had it 115-113. Lopez swept the final three rounds on all three judges' cards. Lopez said, "I tried my best for the people. I even tried to box going backward, and he didn’t want to commit. “Glory is next for me. None of these guys want to fight me. I’ll fight {Terence} Crawford at a catchweight. I’m here. I’m ready. I’ve always been ready.  I’m younger, prettier, and a two-time unified champion at 25. “We’re talking about a lightweight {Keyshawn Davis}. He hasn’t done anything. Just like Vasiliy Lomachenko told me: If you want to fight me, you’ve got to get a world title. If you want to fight the king, get a world title.”
Ortiz said, “I stuck to the game plan. I was listening to my corner and my team. I was doing good. I thought I was winning. That’s what I believe. I believe I won the fight. What can I say? I came up short once again. “I just felt like he couldn’t hit me. I was making him miss all night. I was countering. I was making him miss. I was hitting him with the jab and the check hook. I just felt like he wasn’t landing any shots on me.” “I always stay true to who I am. But we’ll go back to the drawing board, make some adjustments, and come back for a title shot.”
Keyshawn Davis Stops Jose Pedraza in Co-Feature
Davis Puts Lightweight Division on Notice Keyshawn Davis (10-0, 7 KOs) made a statement tonight. The 24-year-old Olympic silver medalist earned his most important victory yet by vanquishing former two-division world champion Jose Pedraza (29-6-1, 14 KOs) via sixth-round TKO. After studying Pedraza for two rounds, Davis kicked his offense into high gear, using lead left hands to prepare vicious fusillades in the third and fourth rounds. Pedraza survived, so Davis boxed on the outside in the fifth. But he reinitiated his attack in the sixth, landing several combos before forcing referee Tom Taylor to stop the fight.  Davis said, “Throughout this whole training camp, I’ve been saying that I’m the best at 135. Everyone kept saying, ‘You’ve got to get the stoppage. You’ve got to get the knockout.’ But I told everyone to not worry about it and just watch me work. And that’s exactly what happened. I got the stoppage. “Teofimo has been doing a lot of talking lately. I’ll go up to 140 and fight Teofimo. What’s up?! Get this win tonight. You already know how I’m coming. You and your father. So, let’s set it up. I’l come straight to 140. Let’s go! And if you’re scared, Teofimo, then {Emanuel} Navarrete. He is a hell of a fighter. It would be an honor to get in the ring with you after you capture the WBO title. So let’s do it." Lightweight: Mexican warrior Rene Tellez Giron (19-3, 12 KOs) overcame height and reach disadvantages to upset George Acosta (17-2, 3 KOs) via eight-round unanimous decision. Acosta tried his best to keep Giron off him, but Giron closed the distance and landed several punches in the second and third rounds. Giron landed a right hook in the fifth that floored Acosta, who survived an onslaught to the body before the two went toe-to-toe in the final rounds. Scores: 79-72, 78-73 and 76-75.
Middleweight: Javier Martinez (10-0-1, 3 KOs) notched an eight-round unanimous decision win against Raul Salomon (12-3, 10 KOs). Martinez used a high guard to defend against Salomon as he pushed forward. Both found their rhythm in the center of the ring by the middle rounds, where Martinez landed power shots to the head and body with ease on an unrelenting Salomon. Scores: 79-73 and 78-74 2x.
Lightweight: Abdullah Mason (12-0, 10 KOs) had his first scheduled eight-rounder tonight, but he only needed two rounds to obliterate the previously unbeaten Benjamim Gurment (8-1-3, 5 KOs). After dropping him with a series of shots, Mason landed a counter left hand that immediately floored the Texas hopeful. Time of stoppage: 1:29.
Lightweight: Charlie Sheehy (9-0, 5 KOs) remained undefeated with an eight-round points verdict over rugged Mexican Abdel Sauceda (12-4, 8 KOs). Sheehy maintained distance with sharp jabs and quick footwork. Saucedo came on strong in the final two rounds, but it was not enough to win a single round. Scores: 80-72 3x.
Lightweight: Alan "Kid Kansas" Garcia (11-0, 9 KOs) dropped Tomas Ornelas (7-4, 5 KOs) with left hook to the temple before ending the fight with a rib-shattering left hook to the body at :51 of the first round. Heavyweight: Lemir Isom-Riley (4-2, 2 KOs) upset hometown favorite Antonio Zepeda (6-2, 6 KOs) via third-round TKO. Zepeda took a pair of knees in the third after appearing to suffer an injury. Time of stoppage: 1:28.   Junior Welterweight: Art Barrera Jr. (3-0, 3 KOs), the latest fistic prodigy to come out of the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, scored a first-round KO win over Michael Portales (3-3-1, 1 KO). Time of stoppage: 1:41.

Is Conor Benn a good fighter? Is Chris Eubank jr a good fighter? So much talk about them fighting each other for some family legacy reason but I don't know if either is quality. what do you think of them?
They’re both fine. Neither is particularly great. Eubank Jr has more quality on his resume but it still hasn’t been enough to capture a proper world title. And at 34, that window is likely closing. Benn is a fine welterweight but he hasn’t shown he’s better than any of the other young 147lbers campaigning there without a title of big marquee wins. And while he won both fights, Conor has looked less scary since coming back from that suspension for doping. Neither dude is their dad. Eubank Sr and Nigel were both champions by this point in their careers.
The idea that Conor was going to jump up two weight classes (catchweight but still) to fight Eubank Jr was based around the idea that Eubank Jr isn’t as good as his ranking at middleweight and that Conor is some type of killer which has looked less true since his return. Nostalgia bait as it were rather than two titans clashing.
