yeah so going off that maykitz post about sonya massey & it's showing me that white people have this gross almost fetishtic relationship to witnessing violence against brown and black bodies. like why are you encouraging people to watch what is essentially snuff. everytime a black person is murdered on camera by a cop or a group of Palestinian children get killed in another iof bombing y'all will share the uncensored horrific blood and viscera talking about some 'dont you dare look away'. like girl fuck you how do you think it feels for us to see our people get graphically tortured and murdered at the hands of white supremacist colonial forces? I saw the video of Sonya being shared all over twitter and I couldn't even get past the first few seconds of her holding the pot. I'm not even being funny when I say don't nobody wanna see that shit. y'all might see it as a 'oh people are trying to stick their heads in the sand and shield themselves from the truth!' like NO we're really not! we're not sitting up here making crybaby ass posts about how 'tumblr is supposed to be a fun place so if you use it as an escape from all of the bad things happening you're valid 🌈' we are all very much aware of what is going on in the world, and ask yourself why you have to see first hand explicit horrific footage of a black woman being shot in the FACE to have sympathy with us?!

I think what I want to get into with the "Anyone can do harm." thing that I keep beating yall over the head with is that literally anyone, anyone at all can do harm it's not "in your DNA" to be an abuser or written in the stars that you'll be a predator.
Whatever image you have of an abuser in your head, drop it and replace it with your favorite person in the world and you'll probably be closer to the truth than you realize.
It's easy to address harm when it's coming from someone you already hate.
I see it happen all the time. Someone you couldn't stand for no real reason does something heinous then all of a sudden here comes the avalanche of "I always knew they were a fucked up individual."
No, you didn't.
There is no possible way you could have known, you just already didn't fuck with them before they started doing something you could use to justify your hatred of them. I'm guilty of it too! I'm petty, mean, vindictive, and yes! I'm way quicker to believe something bad about someone I hate versus someone I love because I'm human. Still, y all gotta learn to move past that initial "Well, they were always nice to me!" gut feeling and understand that nobody truly knows anyone and anyone can be capable of anything. Even victims. Even you.

saw this ss on twt and im sorry but im starting to think some of yall actually like when characters are predators cause first it was accusing afo of p3dophilia / sa (despite the fact grooming can be non-sexual) and now its this shit 😭😭
like this is actually crazy yall we are told MULTIPLE times that toga feels safe with the league because they are the only ones who accepted her for who she was 😭😭 its not like she was the only woman or kid in the league either like at some point there were magne and mustard. the league lets anyone in regardless of background this is soo ..

I love that Isabeau is the one to bring up the "what do we do if you die" conversation cause its a very good insight to his character at the very start of the game. Isabeau is practical, smart, and loves everyone dearly and wants to know how to help them when shit goes sideways. He's the one to ask about Bonnie too, which is a delightful read on how he thinks because everyone else shuts that down instantly as a "That wont happen and cant happen" but we see later in the game it can happen which is such a startling thing for a game to do but justifies the foreshadowing of Bonnie can die what do we do if that happens? Isabeau, despite everything, is also the one who gets to the heart of the matter even if its not something must people are willing to talk about. All without it being part of his friendquest, thats just him naturally. Which! Says so much about him and how he is! His character when its not about his relationship with Siffrin is a very intriguing thing because it feels like a very classic hard intellectual stance that's been softened after many years of learning to better communicate healthily with others. A reflection, if you will, of Odile but in a very drastic direction. I find him fascinating and I also want to scoop his brains out and study them under a microscope to see all his little brain thoughts.
