the issue with the dream smp being named after dream is that . its too narratively fitting to change. it is Dream's smp. and that has the unfortunate consequence of it being named after a scumbag and all of the legendary acclaim and art it gave us being directly linked to him just by name alone. but narratively . its c!dream's smp. "its not Tommy's smp or Tubbo's smp!" HE WAS RIGHT. ITS NOT. THAT IS THE ENTIRE DRIVE OF THE CONFLICT. OF HIS CHARACTER. IT WAS HIS SMP. and now he's just an owner of nothing . of some land but of no subjects. he never had the control wilbur or schlatt or even fucking tubbo had. the server is named after him. so what? there is nobody around him that earnestly depends upon him. nobody that cares. this is All he has. a name. a title. hollow and empty.

Happy Saturday Everyone!  I'm so happy to be able to release this set in time for Christmas. I have been thinking of doing a Christmas set for quite a while now and it was one of those things that I just needed to check off the bucket list. I would love to be able to add to this set in future years to come.

I have been sharing progress of this on Instagram, but just in case you missed my ongoing commentary there, I will also point out here that the contents of this set are purely decorative. I would have loved to be able to make functional presents like from the seasons EP, but unfortunately its a very complicated item with many different elements to create, which would be extremely time consuming and I just couldn't dedicate that time when there were so many other essential items required this month.

“you made me feel small” dreamwastaken your days are numbered. the fact that tommy who was such a passionate creator who was so young and who has expressed so many times that he looked up so deeply to his ‘mentor’ figures and who cared so much about the cool stuff he was making was treated like this is just so fucking sad.

i don’t think it’s even the inniter saying this like this objectively sucks. dream was horrible, mean and manipulative to a kid who looked up to him and who just CARED SO MUCH.

every single dms that has been leaked of tommy’s (logan paul, dream, etc) has just demonstrated how eager he was to get these grown adults’ opinion and approval. and in response they gave him a dogshit example. and he still turned out better than them.

and that is precisely why, even though tommy is far from perfect and has fucked up and we don’t truly know any of these creators behind the scenes, i will always be a shooter for him because he’s demonstrated sincerity which is more than i can say for so many of these people.

he deserved to be treated so much better than to receive guilt tripping mile long messages from a grown man who knows he looks up to him.

Now the point is I really hate when drantis said that rivals duo friendship it's just on dsmp, but no, they still talking not just on dsmp, they still talking behind the scenes, on MCC, etch and more importantly is in this video or more scenes that they don't recording it. hot take but people treating tommy like he’s in the wrong for, like, being a victim of abusive actions and Literal Crimes (like, objectively, I don’t want to put words in Tommys mouth or define it for him but Dream's acting in a textbook abusive way rn and “sharing pornography with minors” is literally csa legally) is in large part bc of the normalisation of excusing abusive action in a fictional context here specifically. dream is right in saying c!dream influenced how people reacted to this, but it’s not with inniters- it’s with people using the Exact Same Arguments they used to defend c!Dream’s abuse when actual worse shit turned out to have happened to an actual irl sixteen year old.
