So you may have picked this up from the intro already, but in this au:

Bobble is Soul

Headphones is Whole

They go by either their Coroika names or their CCCC names, and also Heart can be called Juno, Mind can be called Apollo, Soul can be called Atlas, and Whole can be called Harmonia. They will answer to all three names.

BTW!!! HEADPHONES USES HE/HIM IN THIS AU. HE IS TRANSMASC BECAUSE I LOVE THAT HC SO MUCH. DONT MISGENDER HIM KNEECAPS ARE A PRIVILEGE (/lh i get it if you make mistakes, but if you intentionally misgender him why are you even on tumblr)

hi. um. i was inspired by @sainteclectic (please let me know if you dont wanna be tagged) and hyr amazing soul fragments au. i am. very biased towards heart. and started wondering what heart's fragments would be. um. so. nonsensical, not thought-out-at-all ramblings below the cut.

the first part would obviously be heart's negative emotions. the violence and hate, the depression, and he's so fucking tired. he bears all the hate towards mind, all the guilt for the juno incident, all the disdain for whole. maybe he has barbed wire wrapped around his body, hurting himself and others alike. restraining himself from lashing out, only leading to more pain for everyone, and failing anyway in the end.

the second would be apathy. after being denied expression of his emotions so often, he just started repressing them. he's like mind, in that he denies feeling anything at all. at some point, he would've been representative of coping, but as heart really has no healthy coping mechanisms at this point, that isnt happening. he doesnt want to feel anything — that leads to violence and shouting and anger and pain. so he doesnt let himself. becoming what he hates: cold, cynical, apathetic.

third one gave me some trouble. but maybe the last would be positive emotions. or, he's supposed to be, at least. but he's more like forced optimism at this point. he's supposed to be the love part of the emotional side. the joy and appreciation for little things. but he just cant. so he fakes it. maybe he wont feel so bad if he pretends everything is fine! he can fix it! he tries over and over and over. maybe it'll work this time.

im tired. sorry.

i don’t think it changes that much. Atlas still beholds Harmonia, but the difference now is that Ego has something to deliver other than just his presence.

Vessel came to him when in need of relief, a break from the arguments of his ids and Ego delivered beyond his comprehension.

Vessel doesn’t like splitting, fading away from existence, being nothing but a whisper in the wind. but Ego just tells him “it’s for the best, trust me.”

and he does, despite the yells from both sides of their head telling her [nodontpleaserunnobadbadbadbadbadnotagainstopno](waitnoyoucantdothatsaynothisdoesnthelpstopitpleasestop)

not to, he knows Ego is doing what's best for him. maybe a break now and then wouldn't be so bad? right?

and to be clear, Ego loves Vessel. he wants her to be happy, to be at peace. so he helps them the only way he can think of: letting her escape reality.

it's perfect! at least he thinks so. his universe gets to rest for a while, the other two can stay away from each other until they calm down enough to form Vessel again, and he can get a little space from everyone. there are no flaws here whatsoever*

if only the ids could see that....

*writer's note: there are multiple flaws but ill talk about those another day.

tldr: wholesoul dynamic is practically the same here in terms of relationship, the only difference is that Harmonia is actually just. that divine and Vessel doesn't know if he's all for it

basically um whole here does exist alongside hms. also, hmsw resemble the moon sun stars earth respectively. but so the concept is that sol and luna {mind , heart} fight and it bothers terra {whole} a lot cause its annoying and tbh he doesn't wanna deal with it- so! he finds the nearest star {besides sol} and drags them over to deal with the fighting. this star is Proxima Centauri, but sol, luna, and terra are like hey mate thats uh. long. your nickname is alde now. since its less obvious than the other names, soul's name is, according to google the closest star to us and nickname is the brightest star in the constellation taurus, meaning "the follower" in Arabic, as it appears to follow the pleiades. {also from the google}. okay Atlias out cya
