Flowing river in early spring carries along the scent of the cedars, ice, and a breath of fresh air. The river begins to thaw as does my heart, both have been caught by a warm presence. The first in the form of the elements, the second in the form of a kind soul.

Hi Aspen! Your Cedar Trees AU is one of my all time favorite Royal AUs ever! And certainly my favorite one for Steve. I first read it almost a year ago, and it is one series I keep coming back to often. The last part ended on such a critical note and I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for Steve and his queen!! It did, it did, I know it did! And I'm so sorry for leaving Cedar Trees on such a massive cliffhanger! At first I wanted to leave it for a bit so that we could feel that pang of unknown worry for Steve going away to fight Hydra. But now I'm not really sure why I haven't gone back to them yet. I want to. I think about them quite a bit. The muse has just been more insistent about some other pieces, I guess.

But I haven't meant to abandon it, and I absolutely promise we will see the next part of their story this summer!

(though @stargazingfangirl18 said she specifically didn't vote for Cedar Trees Steve in this poll of which story I should write more for next because she's worried over what I might do to them...)

4/20/24 ~ I found this tree hidden in my gardenia bush out front growing. Anyone know what kind it is? I pulled it up and planted it in a pot for now till I figure out what kind it is ☺️

Why does cedar smell so good???!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Whenever I'm helping out, I can't help but sniff the part I'm holding/near.

god, I need like incense, or candles, or perfume, I DON'T KNOW, all I know is I need this smell to never leave my immediate surroundings ever again. I need it around me at all times, possibly infused into my bloodstream?

I thought I liked nature before, I love hiking, I love moss, I love swimming in natural water, I love vines, I want to live in the woods, but after smelling this smell I want my bed to be made out of a living cedar tree odysseus-and-penelope-style.

Cedar trees request/ask

This might be totally against your plotted story, it seems we have some angst incoming with Hydra but what about some personal stuff too.

Maybe someone from Steve’s past, someone he’s known his whole life, like a Buckys sister maybe, comes to assist the queen, as an extra lady while she’s pregnant but maybe there’s scare of her bleeding or something so they have to stop having so much sex and the new lady visits the king each night, or most nights, and rumours start, that kind of thing.

The queen can’t say anything because queens don’t interfere in that kind of thing, even though she’s devastated.

If it’s not something you want to write I get it, just a thought I had.
